Make sure the two of you read the guideline and the rest of the lore. It is very important that you read ALL of the guideline and the paragraphs above it.

The first step is to share your character ideas with us. Once you post your registration character here, we'll send you a Discord invite.

Another question!

Just for my clarity, us sharing the character idea is going to be the formatted registration post over in the registration thread, right?
There's not going to be anything put in this place save for possible questions/discussion?

Question: where can I find info on organizations and the like?

That would be correct.

Alright, more questions:
1) The Akashic Records and Order of Eden, are those groups I could make a character for?
2) Is there anywhere I can read up on each province in Empyria?

1) The Akashic Records and Order of Eden, are those groups I could make a character for?
Anyone is allowed to make characters anywhere given they have the trust and permission from the GMs. To avoid situations where players create characters in important organizations and leave, as of currently, new players can only create assets for the Imperial Security Directorate, Vanguards of Imperius, and Kriegsheld Cadre. You can view those 3 organizations as your starter factions.

Given enough time you'll gain permission to create more characters in other parts of Empyria. This goes for the Order of Eden and the Akashic Records.

2) Is there anywhere I can read up on each province in Empyria?
Lore for each province is under construction. As provinces are rich with lore, we won't have anything to show for a good while. I'll post a generalized verison of each province in a bit to give you an idea of its culture and inspirations.

And a couple more from me:

-This is probably somewhere easy to find, but what's the current date IC? I'm curious about the Saygian conflict in the Lore and was wondering exactly how long ago it would have been resolved. If I understand correctly it's somewhat recent/prevalent in public memory so it shouldn't be too long ago historywise, right?

-This one's going to make my direction obvious, but would have been feasible for a noble house of Sector 9 to have fought on the separatist side of the war? If so, what might have happened to them afterward?

The current date is 709 EC (Empyrian Calendar), so less than a decade.

They would have been promptly executed for treason after facing trial in a military court. The House in which their name is connected to will not be trialed but investigated throughly, and if found they were accomplices, the folks involved in the treacherous act would have faced the same fate. If the entire House fought on the side of the insurgents, the entire house would have been removed from the hierarchy of nobility and reduced to commoner status and imprisoned/executed, depending on the severity of their crime.

2) Is there anywhere I can read up on each province in Empyria?
Anterås
The home and seat of power of the shadowy and illusive House Cineris, Anterås is among the most militarily powerful, economically prosperous, technologically advanced, and stable provinces of Mainland Agartha, a regional superpower in the Western Regions after Aucteraden. The province is mainly known for its vast collection of large and rolling hills, towering mountains of lush green and stone gray, beautiful and sharp ridges, and rocky crags. With its great natural wealth are a number of highly-developed cities that many reputable mining corporations call home that is one of the main sources of the province’s wealth. Anterås is also a chief provider of and consultant for security products and systems, it is also a major player in the information trade. Other than this, Anterås’s provincial security is vastly different from its neighbors. In place is a province-wide mass surveillance system that covers places like towns and cities with the supposed exception of private spaces coupled with a gendarmerie from the province’s military garrison that serves as the chief law enforcement agency and its own special security service as the principal security agency while the Imperial Security Directorate takes a backseat role.

Aucteraden
Aucteraden is the heart of Empyria’s technological advancements, harboring the majority of the top corporations within the tech industries. The province is best known as the “City of Opportunity”, though the moniker focuses more at the heart of Seraphiel, the provincial capital of Aucteraden nominated as the fastest developing city known in Mainland Agartha. Despite its advanced civilization that seems to allure the aspiring, young citizens, the province is riddled with organized crime and chaotic gangs, in which most associate with corrupted politicians. Naturally, the presence of the Imperial Security Directorate, or the ISD, is higher within Aucteraden than any other province in Empyria, as the criminal rate calls for sturdier lawful enforcement to deal with the arduous problem of organized crime.

Dosidicus
An authoritarian, capitalistic, and pragmatic regime under the dominion of House Talirose, Dosidicus is at the top of Empyria’s business capitals due to the sheer volume of enterprises that operate in the province, placing it near the top of the economically prosperous provinces. The only condition is that the enterprises must operate with respect to Dosidican law or face extremely harsh consequences. However, Dosidican law is very friendly to businesses, but more of than not, detrimental to those who are under these businesses such as the workers due to immense competition that motivates practices that take a heavy toll on the workers. Practices such as automation that creates unemployment, and operating hours that are ‘flexible’ only on paper. As such, Dosidicus enjoys a reputation of being the poster child of the idea that “all that glitters isn’t gold” with a reportedly higher occurrence of depression, and suicide, among the populace than the other provinces.

Elesrith
Elesrith, also commonly known as Northern Empyria of Bismarck, is the largest province in mainland Agartha ruled by the renowned House Bismarck. As the province that maintains the distribution of Vicarius Energy and the majority of the Imperial Army’s equipment, it is a province that is ahead of its time, effectively forming a monopoly when it comes to the economy of Empyria. The province is also known for one of the most famous tourist locations in the world; the beautiful Great Mountain of Agartha that produces an endless amount of clean energy for the entire mainland. While Elesrith is home to multiple races, it is predominated by the Exhelians, especially the capital Imperius that is known for thousands of rich, common nobles that support House Bismarck. It is by far the richest province with the most power outside of Caliburn Vitos, and is the main gathering place of the Collbrandes during urgent meetings.

Iliosie
Of all the twelve provinces on Mainland Agartha, Iliosie is indubitably the most magical and artistic. This is made possible with the ardent patronage of House Astaroth for the arts and the arcane. It is a land rich with culture that is openly expressed by its large array of museums, galleries, theaters, and academies for the lowborn and the elite. All are made in the aesthetic or architecture of various periods known throughout human history, and even some alien histories and cultures. While the classical, or antiquated, or high-fantasy sights are one of the most sought-after in Empyria, Iliosie is also dotted with many natural wonders such as nature preserves and whole forests that have remained untouched since the Foundation Era. The most popular natural wonder of the province is its floating islands, small worlds within a much larger world, their fantastical uniqueness made a reality by the magics of Vicarius Energy coming from Agartha’s arcane core. It is believed that should the flow of Vicarius Energy stop, these floating islands will fall to the ground, the magic behind their levitation gone, and will cause considerable damage if ignored.

Katsuragi
A land known for its historical war against the ancient Beasts of the Apocalypse that have existed long before Empyrians have ever set foot on Agartha, the people of Katsuragi are considered bellicose patriots. Valiant and obsessed with the art of swordsmanship, the province offers not only extreme dedication to their cause, but also presents a scenery like no other, second only to Iliosie’s magic. It is an archipelago with thousands of mini-islands with five main ‘islands,’ by Empyrian standards, compared to that of the Earth due to the sheer size of Agartha. Despite the beauty and artistic value of Katsuragian culture, what lies beneath the tombs of the province is the sealed consciousness of one of Empyria’s greatest domestic threats, the Beasts of the Apocalypse, neither dead nor alive, led only by the Ashen Lord who waged war against the Symbol of Revelation and her warriors for the lands of Katsuragi. After being utterly defeated by Empyrian might, the Beasts were sealed and their physical bodies were destroyed with each vital organ of the beasts preserved to create legendary weapons that the Vanquishers use to fight their battles against the other demons that lurk in the shadows of Katsuragi.

Mansoura
In terms of natural beauty, Mansoura wouldn’t be the first province in anyone’s mind, and for good reason. Mansoura is known for being the hottest province, a land mostly composed of arid deserts and mesmerizing sand dunes that stretch for kilometers into the horizon where the blazing and beating sun that is the parent star of Agartha shines ever so brightly. The deserts of Mansoura, alongside the lush forests of Iliosie, are a host to a variety of dangers outside of its climate such as poisonous snakes and scorpions larger than those found on Earth. Albeit there are more docile creatures that reside in the desert, they are hard to find, making them appear as if they are fewer in number compared to the more dangerous predators in the deserts. Economically, Mansoura enjoys a degree of riches such as the largest oil deposits on Agartha, it is proficient in the industries of oil exploration, oil drilling, oil exportation, glassmaking, pottery, and genetically-altered crops meant to withstand extreme conditions such as the harsh heat.

Novarion
Novarion is a unique outlier among the twelve provinces. Here, the lines between the medieval times of feudalism and chivalry blur with those of the contemporary times. It is highly evident in the province’s architecture where gleaming white castles and fortresses of great size and splendor stand out among the more modest great halls and housing that dons the looks of buildings from the medieval age, having walls of wood and stone covered by thatches without the vernacular architecture. Those who are new to Novarion have often found themselves deceived by the medieval look, in reality, Novarion exhibits signs of technological development and sophistication on par with their contemporaries. It is found everywhere and integrated with their daily lives starting with their homes, to their places of work, and to places of power or worship. The people here are more chivalric, honorable, and conservative with their ways of life, reflecting their appearance. This has caused a lot of problems in dynamics with other provinces and nobility since those from Novarion tend to be “old-fashioned” and knightly, a euphemism for their being stuck-up under the pretense that their different way of living breeds an honorable and ethical people unlike their supposedly less desirable contemporaries.

Sanguinum
A haven of great renown for Revenants and Demonoids, Sanguinum is the home of the former which is also its dominant demographic group. It is a close second to Iliosie, a sister province in a way. Much like Iliosie, Sanguinum hosts a large number of structures made in the Gothic style that showcase their art and culture with a high degree of patronage from the ruling House and the people of the province. But this is about where their similarities end. Unlike the artsy Iliosie, Sanguinum leans more towards a martial culture and way of life for its people that is exhibited by their art. This is due to their harrowing history of once being a race created and tested by the Eldrion in their search for the perfect killing machine, a dark past that was swept away by the Empyrians after the latter’s victory in the First Great War that freed them from Eldrion slavery and gave them the chance to be an independent people and sovereignty with their own planet. As a gesture of everlasting gratitude, they swore an eternal alliance with the Empyrians, coming to their aid during the Second Great War against the Rythen Empire in which the Revenants lost their home planet and had to be evacuated to Agartha. In spite of such a history, the Revenants enjoy a very warm and cordial relationship with the other races of Empyria where the Revenants are held in high regard for their valiant efforts for the Empyrians. It is said that setting foot on Sanguinum is an honor like no other.

Volcrest
Volcrest is a province In the frigid north of Agartha, it is an archipelago of ice, snow, and steel that are regularly connected by seas that freeze over due to the immense cold where the most hardy and stoic of Empyrians reside. In this land lives some of the Imperial Army’s best troops, men and women who will face down any enemy come hell or high water, a result of the more difficult curricula of the many military academies and training camps in the province that perform far differently from their contemporaries. To be a cadet or recruit in these academies or camps is considered a great privilege by many, especially those aspiring for a military career, as getting into these institutions is considerably difficult even for the locals of Volcrest, the difficulty only mitigated by what their fathers, forefathers, and even mothers have taught them. As such, it is a popular saying in the Imperial Army that a commander “only needs a battalion of troops from Volcrest or a battalion of Revenants to win any battle, both would be excessive.” While not representative of reality, it gives a hint as to how formidable the people of Volcrest are. It enjoys nominal relations with the other provinces except Elesrith which it has a special partnership with that dates back to the Foundation Era. The date of the partnership’s formation is considered as an important social and political event for the two provinces, culminating in a festival that lasts for a week.

Zhenra
While many provinces are developed with their share of large cities and natural landscapes, Zhenra is what many would consider a miniature ecumenopolis as there are little natural wonders to be seen here, only metropolis after metropolis that sometimes dwarf even the largest cities on Agartha, the province even has entire underground cities underneath these metropolises. These urban megacomplexes are connected by an intricate mass transport network that millions of Empyrians use to get to their workplaces that comprise the gigantic hodgepodge of industries that are active in the province. This hodgepodge makes Zhenra one of the largest producers and bulk exporters of various products. And the best thing is that Zhenra actually suffers little pollution because of the options made possible by Vicarius Energy, making the province one of the most ideal places to live in for the average Empyrian. If it wasn’t for the catastrophically high rate of organized crime that is orchestrated by the Sishen Yakuza. A large intranational organized crime syndicate founded by a descendant of Zhou Sishen, the first Collbrande of Zhenra, that engages in black market activities, smuggling, narcotics trading, insider trading, human trafficking, human experimentation, and many more.

So I've got an idea for my character, but I wanna make sure I'm not overstepping anything. Could I send you a message directly?

1-3 shouldn't concern your attention, so I'll be solely summarizing 1-1. A reminder that I won't get into specifics.

It was brought to the attention of the Collbrande of Aucteraden (Draigh Kaiser) that there are significant problems brewing over the abyss of the criminal world. Their names currently unknown, an ISD investigation led to a new organized crime being discovered in the city of Somnum, Aucteraden. This itself wouldn't have been a global issue but after a thorough investigation that expanded to the other provinces, it was found that this organization managed to go undercover for nearly half a decade, hiding their assets across the world before the ISD of the Aucteraden branch managed to uncover their secret.

Suspicions grow from Draigh Kaiser as he orders a select few from his Kriegsheld Cadre to investigate the unknown organization, by gathering help from the ISD that could be trusted. At this point, it's believed that the Aucteraden police force is corrupt and that they could not be trusted. And so, Dietrich hires Cecilia Ravenholm and a renowned hacker Cerberus to aid in their endeavor. What follows after is a series of events where Dietrich, Syriel, Cecilia, and Claudwin (Rank 1 of the Kriegshelds/GM character) travels to Elesrith with their Collbrande to form a temporary alliance with the Vanguards of Imperius, which was successful.

The Vanguards are scheduled to travel to Aucteraden with the Kriegshelds in 1 week, after the Northern Coalition Anniversary. In exchange for the Vanguard's assistance, the Kriegshelds will help with the setup of the anniversary and also aid in provincial matters as the suddenly rising criminal group Golden Path Organization and the infamous but clandestine group called the Sindalone.

The team was divided to two squads.
Team 1: Sinaria, Syriel, and 2 other nameless Vanguards. Vex, Retten, and Luria are slated to join after the loss of the 2 nameless Vanguards in the hands of the Marauder's ambush on the Imperius Grand Bridge.
Team 2: Dietrich, Cecilia, Cerberus, Hildegard, and Euthalia. Valkyria is slated to join.
