Hello, and thank you for stopping by to check out my post!


What I have here is a little different than most 1x1 posts as I don’t have an suggested plots. What I do have, is a list of vague topics and a list of most of my characters. I’m hoping to be able to find someone interested in something so that we can work out a plot together.


A little about me:


About me:


I’m talkative. Very talkative. It’s likely that I’ll try to talk to you OOC. If you aren’t down for that, that’s okay. Just tell me.


I live and work on a this tiny farm-like thingy, this means that throughout the day, my replies might be kind of sporadic. It also means, that I have no real restrictions on phone use, so I generally see messages, and reply quickly. If for some reason, I don’t respond for 1-2 days, don’t panic, I probably just got busy.


I’m a hippie. Like, an honest to goodness, real live hippie. I promote love, self-acceptance and peace. If you aren’t down with that, I can respect your position, but know we’re going to disagree.


However, that doesn’t mean my characters are all tree-hugging, pot-smoking weirdos. Some of my characters are real assholes.


I prefer to use either real pictures or digital art as my face claims. However, I have no problem with my partner using whatever they choose.


My preferences


Despite being a hippie, I really do prefer the darker themes. Self-change, self-acceptance and overcoming circumstances are very common themes among my RPs.


I do just about every pairing, mxm, mxf, fxf, any form of non-binary or gender fluid, I'm down. But I won’t do a ‘forced pairing’. By this I mean that I won’t create a character knowing that he or she is destined to wind up with yours. Why? Because it feels forced and disingenuous.


While we’re on the subject of romance, let’s talk about age. I require that my romantic RP partners are 18 or over. This is because I’m 18 or over.


I generally write in either high-casual or detailed. I try to mirror what I’m given to work with, but I do have some trouble keeping it down below about 5-ish paragraphs. (Please don't feel that you have to mirror me. Short responses can be awesome. I'm just shot at typing them up. One of my favorite RPers rarely goes over 3 paragraphs) For the most part, my responses can be anywhere between 5-35 paragraphs long. (However, if you’re looking for a 35 paragraph response every time, you may only get one response every other day. Fair warning.)


I don’t do Mary-Sues or anything of the sort, and I sincerely hate it when other people do.


That being said, we all know that one person that’s perfect. That person who we envy above all else, but let’s be realistic…their life probably isn’t as wonderful as we think. So, if you have a character who seems legit perfect, I’d love for there to be something deeper...even if it's hidden at first.


Character sheets are a must. (Sorry!)


I only write in past tense 3rd person, and I ask that my partners do as well.

I won’t do incest.


I won’t do huge age gaps (10+ years).


I won’t do romance involving a person over 18 with a person under 18.


I won’t play out any sort of sex scene. (It’s against the rules anyway.)

  Quite the opposite really. He's a kind, gentle sort of man, who takes pride in helping people heal rather than squashing them. It's one of the biggest reasons he became a foster parent, an FBI agent.

  He met Mia just a year after joining the force. They were married within two years, and after several failed attempts, discovered they were unable to conceive.

She didn't know, until the age of fifteen, that it wasn't normal to fear her father, and it wasn't normal to allow someone to hurt her.
  
  
  She kept quiet about the abuse behind closed doors for years.
  
  
  She didn't get away from them until she was in college, shortly after breaking it off with an abusive boyfriend, she met Etienne, who treated her better than she'd ever been treated before.

They've always told him the same thing - if he still wants to know when he's 18, he can look over his file. Until then, they'll leave it at the fact that his parents were abusive.

  At first glance, Mike is perfect. Just a sad kid who wound up on the wrong side of the law through desperation and nothing more.
  
  
  He's charming, sweet, quiet, and helpful. He's charismatic, and blessed with a silver tongue, he talk almost anyone into almost anything. He addressed adults respectfully, and openly talks about how the gang was a mistake, but one he can't take back.
  
  
  However, the mask will always crumble, and the monster inside breaks free.
  
  
  To say that Mike has anger issues is to put it lightly. He has almost no control over his emotions, and that becomes increasingly obvious when things around him begin to break, and people get hurt.
  
  
  He's a homophobe and a racist, having joined a white supremacist group, he's convinced that people of color and gay people are the dregs of society and deserve nothing less than death. He's personally curb stomped no less than five I'm uncultured, and three blacks.

  Mike grew up in a very affluent home, in a very affluent neighborhood. His step-father was a doctor, his mother a home-maker.
  
  
  He routinely watched his step-father lose his mind and beat his mother if everything wasn't perfect when he got home.
  
  
  By the time Mike was twelve, his step-father began to turn his attention to his son when angry. Mike resents his mother for never having stepped in to help during that time.
  
  
  It was then that he found Adrian, a member, and the man who showed him the light. His step-dad was a Mexican, and all the men in his group confirmed that all Mexicans are wife and child-beating assholes. It made sense to him.
  
  
  After a few months with them, he got his first tattoo and stomped his first f*g. It made him feel like a badass. He was hooked from that point forward.

  He spends his days couch surfing, sleeping under the stars, or hitch hiking.

  • Music - playing it, listening to it, he doesn't care, he loves it all.
    
  • Languages - Vaughn is always down to learn a new language. It's a passion of his.

  She was sixteen when she got pregnant, although, she has no idea who the father was, and has always refused to tell Vaughn. He has no idea if he was the product of a rape, or just a drug-induced or alcohol-soaked night of sloppy sex.
  
  
  He wears a few scars, all given to him by his mother, who often pressed the lit end of a cigarette into his skin when he became too annoying. He learned at a young age that crying only made it worse.
  
  
  When he was thirteen, high off her ass, and in a rage that couldn't be controlled, she'd pushed her son down the stairs. He'd managed to escape with what was probably no broken bones - or if there were, he never got them looked into.
  
  
  he left that night, never looking back, relying on the kindness of others to keep him afloat.
  
  
  Looking back, he has no idea how he didn't run into a few creeps or less-than-savory characters, but he never did.
  
  
  By the age of fifteen he was living in a hippie commune, unofficially adopted by a group of men and women in their early to late twenties. He spent his days, smoking pot, getting his hair tied into dreads, and listening to good music.
  
  
  There wasn't one event that led to him leaving, and it wasn't entirely unpleasant either. If he were to go back tomorrow, they'd take him back in with open arms. Very simply, Vaughn craved more. He wanted to be out in the world, experiencing everything, even if it wasn't as pleasant as the home with the hippies he'd grown to love.
  
  
  So he packed up what few belongings he had, and headed to Southern Cali, where he's been for going on a decade now. He participates and various protests, usually dealing with the destruction of wildlife to bring in more building and other corporate halls of greed.
  
  
  He's been arrested more times than he can count, for everything from protesting to possession, and to be honest, it doesn't bother him. He doesn't plan to ever had a real job anyway. Why should he worry about his record?

  Johnny is laid back to the extreme. He's easy-going, sweet and probably a little bit of an underachiever.
  
  
  He's a mechanic, and owns his own shop, but if you were to ask his foster parents, they'd tell you he could have done so much more with his life.
  
  
  Johnny isn't strictly masculine. He enjoys feminine things as well. Sometimes he's even been known to wear a skirt, or lipstick. He frequently paints his nails a variety of colors of he has an unabashed love for all things glitter.

  • Machines, cars and other things of the like - Johnny is a born mechanic. He likes to work with his hands. He enjoys fixing things.

  His father was a very well-respected lawyer. Johnny learned at a young age to keep up with his father's work, and to fear for his safety when he lost a case.
  
  
  A lot went down in his bio family's house, he doesn't talk about much of it, honestly, he just wants to forget about them. Unfortunately, he can't stop the nightmares.

  Jacob is about as sweet as they come, if not a little naive. He lives life as though he's unaware of the dangerous surrounding it. He's curious...far too curious for his own good. He's soft spoken, and has a hard time standing up for himself, even when he probably should.
  
  
  He gets a lot of guff at school for being 'the gay kid', all because he dated a boy last year.
  
  
  Unfortunately, their relationship ended in heartbreak, and Jacob has recently found himself wondering if it was even worth it in the first place. Right now, between the nasty kids at school, and how empty he's been on the inside lately, he isn't convinced that love is something he'll ever find.

  • Reading - Jacob loves to read. He's an intelligent kid, he does well in school. Around the age of 10, he started submerging himself in books in order to fight off the constant bullying at school. It's less painful than real interaction.
    
  • Science - Jacob is nothing, if not a science nerd.
    
  • Nature - If it's warm, you can be sure that Jacob will be outside.
    
  • Animals - Jacob is an animal lover. His parents own a farm, and he spends most of his days outside with them. He's been known to sleep in the hay from time to time.

  • Bullies - They're the bane of his existence. He's constantly being picked on. Constantly being torn apart by those around him.

  Jacob grew up on the outskirts of a small town. His parents had owned the farm long before he came around.
  
  
  They'd tried for nearly ten years, and had multiple miscarriages before they finally had Jacob. As a result, he was entirely spoiled as a child. In many respects, he still is.
  
  
  He attended a nearby school, and was actually pretty popular up until Junior year when he 'came out' by dating Jamie. His friends turned on him, he was all but kicked off the football team. He lost almost every friend he had originally, and somehow gained about a dozen female friends.
  
  
  But he's not really happy with that.
  
  
  Sure, he likes the softer side of things, he likes talking to the girls, he likes going to the mall, and hanging out on weekends. But in all reality, he's noticed a lot of them treat him more like an accessory than a human being, and if Candy introduces him as 'my gay friend' one more time...he's going to snap.

  Jacob has always hada very strong connection with his dad. He came out to his father at a young age, and was immediately accepted for who he was. He and his father usually spend a lot of time together on the farm, fixing things or tending to the animals.

  Jessica dotes on Jacob. He has a scratch? Call 911. He got a black eye? Grab your pitchforks and find the bastard responsible! His boyfriend dumped him? It's okay, he was never good enough for Jacob anyway.

  Trystan's father was an abusive asshole, there's no way around it. Drunken nights always led to tears and bruises, but by the time Trystan was nine, her mother wound up leaving him. It was the best decision she could have made. She raised Trystan herself from then on, and instilled upon her the values she thought important. Kindness, good work ethic, self-acceptance and tolerance for all ways of life.
  
  
  Trystan succeeded in school, partly because her mother would accept nothing less, and partly because she had a clear goal in mind.
  
  
  She wound up getting enough grants and loans to cover school, and got a part-time job at a local restaurant.
  
  
  In her last year in college, she decided it best to try to find a nannying or sitting position.

  Brianna was fairly unimpressive as far as the rest of her family went. She held good grades, but did almost nothing outside of that. Most of her days were spent holed up in her room listening to music videos.

  • Bea only gets one day off per week, and you can bet that she uses it to be near her daughter. Every Sunday, she and Wynter go out and do something fun. In the summer time, that usually entails swimming, in the winter, they usually have to get a little more creative.
    
  • Bea has a logical mind, and rarely does she veer from that, or all that it implies. However, Wynter is a far more free spirit, and as a result, she's taken a liking to art. This has prompted Bea to invest in art supplies, and take up painting. It's difficult, and she isn't sure she likes it, but she loves the time she gets to spend with Wynter.
    
  • Bea is an avid animal lover, and while she doesn't have the time for a dog (although she'd love one) she does have two cats that she and Wynter adore.

  • Anything too sweet, most people seem to think it's because she's dieting, but her pallet just simply doesn't agree with it.
    
  • Up-tight and anal personalities. She gets it, she really does. There's a time and a place for everything, and if someone simply can't ever loosen up, she has a hard time dealing with them.
    
  • Racism, as sad as it is, it still exists, and she's well aware, that exists from every race. As far as she's concerned, it's pointless, useless, and irritating.

  At the age of twenty she met the love of her life. In a year they were married. He was sweet, sensitive, and everything she could have hoped for in a man. Together, they brought Wynter in the world, and together they raised her for five wonderful years.
  
  
  In that time, she'd graduated, and landed a promising job with Sanford brothers.
  
  
  When tragedy struck, leaving her as a single mother, she had briefly considered giving up, but the knowledge that she was all her daughter had left in the world refused to allow her to do so.
  
  
  She managed to pull herself up out of the depression and keep moving forward.
  
  
  Four years later, she's the head of the robotic limbs department, affectionately nicknamed CP2. An inside joke that she and two of her coworkers share.
