History:​

Saeko was born into a higher-middle class ghoul family. More fortunate than most ghoul children, she grew up in comfort… Almost. When she was born, her parents strived to make her perfect in every single way. They enrolled her in gymnastics at a young age to make her physically perfect, and enrolled her in piano lessons so she could be musically talented, and martial arts to be strong. Saeko now being an adult, she came to appreciate the gymnastics and martial arts courses, but she has no love for the piano or anything else that her parents forced on her as a child. But as soon as she enrolled in school, her parents forced her to become studious and smart. They restricted any kind of friends, and held high expectations for her in regards to education. Since she started school, she studied her hardest with almost no breaks to get the greatest grades. Her parents wanted her to be top of the class at all times in school, and wanted her to enroll into an expensive university to become a doctor. Being the study bug she was forced to be, she was unable to have any friends and became unsociable. Anytime she got any grade lower than an A, she was beaten and punished by being starved by her ghoul parents. This forced her to sneak out at night, and hunt for herself. As she was hunting, she snapped the leg bones of her victims so they didn’t run away. Surprised at the noise, she broke more bones of her victims out of curiosity and to just hear the satisfying sounds the snaps made. As she grew older and hunted for herself more, she found herself snapping many of the bones of humans. She snapped them while she ate them alive, just to hear the agonizing sounds of being eaten alive and bones being broken together. At the end of her meal, the body was mangled and broken, the CCG giving her the nickname/alias of Bone Snapper.

Her late night hunting cause her grades to fall ever so slightly. Saeko was no longer the top of her class in highschool, and graduated #3 in her class. Her parents were furious, and because of her interest in anatomy, Saeko enrolled into a university to study to become an Osteologist. This further angered her parents, which caused them to disown their daughter and reject her. They refused to pay for her schooling unless she enrolled into medical school to become a doctor, but Saeko decided against this and now studies Osteology and tries to pay for it with her part time job as a Bartender. But being a late night bartender comes with it’s perks while being a ghoul. She hunts drunk individuals and eats them when they leave to go home, but always feels a bit tipsy afterwards. Though if Saeko sees something she doesn’t like, such as man touching a girl without their consent, she personally targets them and makes their death all the more agonizing. But now her now irregular hunting schedule and gruesome killings caught the eye of CCG, and has had a few encounters with them. Still, she refuses anyone to get in her way of survival and kills the investigators to feast on them or to simply kill them out of spite. She had become so hostile and dangerous, mangling her enemies by the time she was done with them, it earned her the rank of SS.

Interests in mythology, her mask and combat attire take an appearance which rightfully defines her as the “white dragon/serpent”, as well as the tattoo from her neck nape, down her spine.

Personality: Zena is eccentric, optimistic but somewhat self-reserved. She is not quick to trust, but once accustomed, she makes a loyal and determined ally, as well as the voice of reason and sensibility. She is both law abiding and tries to refrain from violence in any given case, preferring to use her trapeze skills as a deterrent when hunting and in combat. It must be said that she would much prefer to dance and train alone in the studio than spend too much time socialising, but there are days when the quiet cup of coffee is enough to suffice for the morning hours.

History: Zena’s history is not altogether complex, although it is not something that she openly shares. Both her mother and father being ghouls, it was a wonder that they had managed to secure more higher-ranking careers in Tokyo’s banking sector and car manufacturers. As a child, Zena lived with her parents, her elder brother Sirus, and younger sister, Auine.
Misfortune fell on the Kuzuki household, and their happy home experienced a breakdown. On the night of November 21st, it was reported that a handful of ghoul rebels had set the Capital’s main Finance Office on fire – the death toll exceeding 297 people, with 80 missing. Her mother and little sister were presumed dead. Zena was forced into boarding school as a young teen after her father’s mental and physical health began to decline. Her brother nowhere to be found after the incident, she often makes regular visits to care for her father during the week and provide for him. Having nearly finished her studies, Zena has not only enrolled herself in beginning a career as a physiotherapist in the nearby hospital, but has also committed herself to the ‘Resistance’ – fighting alongside the ghoul community in the face of opposition, in secret.

Her 'trademark' combat style is ultimately her ability to scale heights, move almost rhythmically and with poise. She entices and distracts her victims by swinging and climbing, enabling all her gymnastic based skill and more importantly - her trapeze. Known as the 'White dragon' or 'serpent', her movement ritual is rhythmically likened to that of a chinese dragon dance during combat, as well as her Ukaku wing set which produce the appearance of jewel like flames, white in appearance.

Dislikes: Restraints, complete silence, sudden movements. That weird mix they gave him of watered down blood and something else he can't quite place.

Hobbies: Nothing in particular. Not yet. He likes making braids and knots with his hair, though.

Fears: Most things Hisao can't immediately deem as being safe, starvation. Rats. Anything pointy directed anywhere near him.

Personality: Soft spoken, attentive, paranoid, subdued, emotional. Bit of a smartass when he dares to be. He's not sure how to act around others, the only interactions he's gotten being generally negative. Hisao... doesn't want to act like the investigators he sees, though. If nothing else, he knows that.

History: If there's one thing the CCG is good at, it's control. They control what he eats, what he drinks, when he goes outside and sees the world, even if it always ends with the smell of iron. He can't remember a time where he could see the sun freely and have fresh air, and where he wasn't hungry. Hisao was young when he arrived here, wherever here was. The memories of his old life were fleeting. What was there to remember now? Pain, and the feeling of ripping his own kin apart.

No, that's not right. There were some things he still managed to clung to. His name was Hisao. He wasn't just the number they called him. He was alive, and he was something more than an object to be used and locked away.

Maybe it was all just wishful thinking.​

Personality: Calm, collected, and often times quiet. Gorou is dedicated to his work in hiding and protecting the brethren in his care, at times becoming particularly and overly defensive of them. He treats everyone in the haven as if they were his own family, and works to keep them satisfied - though often this is at his own expense when he becomes overworked. He bears ill will toward the CCG, a feeling which has trickled into his disdain for humans as well, having seen the damages they are capable of.

History:
Gorou recalls a couple of things about being in the CCG; the darkness, the cramped space of the holding cell, and the constant feeling of hunger. He'd been stolen away from his family one early night, what became of them? he couldn't say... but the chimera had his guesses, and he never saw them again. Gorou didn't really know how much time had passed in the midst of all the isolation and torture, and much of his stay became either a dark patch or a blur, though he was certain that he was fast on track to a broken mind. When a group finally managed to break into the prisons and came to free him, they found him starving and refusing to leave, having become far too used to his living conditions. When they tried to take him with them he attempted to put up a fight, but in his highly weakened state the victor was already decided, and he was rescued.

In the present, Gorou is vastly different now than he was back in the jails of the CCG, inspired by the brood of ghouls he had stayed and recovered with he set out to create a safe haven for fugitive and escaped ghouls known as 'The Garden'. Rumors of the ghoul who offered help and home to ghouls in need culminated in Gorou becoming known by the alias 'Eden'. He works as a mailman to help cover his costs, and to find food for those in his care. when delivering to people's homes - and if there are enough people to satisfy - he makes sure to scope out ways to break in, sometimes making a secret opening himself on purpose. At nightfall he returns with his brethren, breaking into the target home, from there the occupants are slaughtered and feasted upon. These home invasions and murders scored him another alias from the CCG, Nurari, after a particular mythical creature said to sneak into people's houses.

Personality: Akito is a very cool-headed girl. She fears nothing and is always sleeping or staying up playing games and writing on her days off. She's mellow, easy-going, but can get annoyed easily, she is monotone and almost emotionless, intelligent and at times generous. But takes her job seriously and always follows orders from higherups, though she's a high ranking investigator. Though she has been shown to be emotionless and quiet, she lacks empathy. She has her moments of being emotionally and mentally unstable, though very rare.

History: Akito was born albino. This caused trouble for her parents, and caused her family to be made fun of for the albino child. At a young age, she had been abused by her parents because of stress from raising such an ugly child. This caused her to retaliate at a young age, and kill her parents to save herself from anymore abuse. It was believed a ghoul had killed her parents instead of Akito from how gruesome the scene was, and the CCG quickly put her in the system of foster care with future CCG Academy drafting. She grew up without any proper parental love, and was only cared for so she could survive, resulting in her emotionless tendencies. She had even been involved in intense abuse. After learning the existence of ghouls, she feared them for a short time, as they had even killed some of her foster parents. By the time she was 14, the system enrolled her into the CCG Academy, and she quickly became intrigued by studying ghouls and fighting them. Akito had no real motivation, she just wanted to learn and do a job of extermination ghouls. She trained dutifully, making sure her physical and mental capabilities were in shape. She did nothing but devote herself to the Academy, which resulted in her graduating top of the class at the age of 17. She had graduate extremely early due to her abilities.
After working for the CCG, her kill count became quite high and she quickly climbed to the Elite Investigator Class that was just introduced. She has now been 'given' a ghoul, a imprisoned and controlled ghoul. Though her being known as the Albino that reaps the ghoul community, she treats everyone she meets the same. Akito just wants to build a coworker relationship with her ghoul, so they can work together efficiently.

Personality: Toda is a very laidback and fun-loving person. He can be quite a flirt and is not above using his charm to get what he wants. Despite all this, he can be serious when needed, and is a great and honourable CCG member who is respected. However he is sly and manipulative, traits that he had hated when he was young



History

Toda had been born in Okinawa, Japan. A small island which was a small distance away from the main land of Japan. He had been growing up there, meaning that ghoul activity was less than in other parts of the world. Having a smaller community had its advantages after all. However, that didn’t mean that there was no danger at all. One day, a friend of his disappeared all of a sudden, without having let anyone know about it. Not even his parents knew about his whereabouts which was highly alarming. It was not even a day later before the news started to spread on the televisions and even the radio. The body of a child was found, and it clearly indicated that this was the doing of a ghoul. That was the first time he actually started to hate someone while that was not in character for him. He didn’t hate all ghouls, but just the one that had killed his best friend without thinking about. The once goalless kid, had one now: becoming part of the CCG and getting rid of the ghouls who purposely mean to do harm to society.

Personality
Elrika shows off a cheerful and laid-back personality to the people around her and especially in her videos. She interacts better online, more chatty and eager to please people. Not entirely a cutesy persona that other voice actress take on. Just overall cheerful and optimistic, often spouting supportive nonsense and such. She's good at hiding her feelings.

Losing Hibino was losing everything for her. In reality, she felt empty, sad, lonely, angry, quite the opposite of how she presents herself. Her natural expression from her upbeat persona from before has become blank stares and a thin straight line of the mouth. If anyone saw her like this, they wouldn't realize that she was who they think she was behind the camera. She's clever, easily adaptable and cooperative when needed be. It has become hard for her to empathize to others. She didn't care for right and wrong anymore, she didn't care for ethics. But she sees her brother in every teenage boy that she sees, especially those with an Ukaku kagune.

History:
Elrika never had the money she had accumulated by voicing characters and uploading online before. Her parents were S+ rated ghouls known as Washi, a ghould with an Ukaku kagune and Hound, a Kakuja with a Bikaku kagune, with day time jobs that offer little money and is just enough for the limited electricity and school expenses. They wanted their children to blend in with the humans so they enrolled them to school, study, go to college, get a nice job and stay away from the CCG. Elrika was twelve when she saw her parents fight off the CCG investigators under the full moon, they were killed by the now second in command of the CCG, Hachirou Noboyuki. She couldn't scream, she couldn't cry on her way back home but when her brother asked, she couldn't help it. Hibino, her younger brother then stopped asking, although he didn't understand he'd rather not have his sister cry again. Even since before, Elrika had always been the one who took care of her brother as her parents were either making ends meet or hunting for their dinner. They were a happy family nonetheless. But she was now the one trying to make ends meet, working until midnight, then after hunting for her and her brother.

She stopped studying after high school, the lesser the bill to take care of the easier it was to have more money for other stuff. She was working as an MC for a kids party when an agent approached her and asked her if she was interested in becoming a voice actress. Something she easily accepted because any sort of gig is enough for her, so long as it gives her the money she needed. She was given a supporting role after her third audition, the character she portrayed became a fan favorite. She got more voice acting gigs and it worked out. She got a nicer apartment, her brother is in a better school and she got to buy and do things she had always wanted. Everything was going their way at the time until she found out that her brother was walking down the road her parents previously walked. He wanted justice for their parents, he killed investigators and wrote with the blood of his victims. It also led to him eating his own kind, become a Kakuja that ghouls around their neighborhood feared. He saw it as a way to gain strength to kill the higher level investigators. She pleaded for him to stop, lay low, and just live peacefully like their parents wanted. But it was too late, she was so focused on giving her brother the best she could, she didn't notice the hatred that brew within him. For how their life turned out, how he missed their parents and the suffering his sister had to go through. It didn't help that he started eating ghouls as it has effects of turning them crazy. A week after finding out, it was word in the street that Cerberus was killed by Albino, a young investigator with great abilities. Upon hearing this, the anger that Elrika suppressed started rising up again. Her heart ached at the loss of her brother. She cried alone. After that she moved away, coped with her loss through obsessing over video games and creating a channel that shows her interest, especially in video games. It helped for a while, until she felt that emptiness gnawing back at her again. The CCG took everything from her, and although she doesn't know what the Albino really looked like, she was determined to get revenge for her brother even if it takes a long time.

Personality: Much like his younger sister, Sirus is headstrong, but self-reserved. He is quick to obey orders, desiring to gain status in the CCG ranks and become part of their leadership. He is quick witted, rather arrogant, and extremely independant. He has even caused arguments between other members of the CCG, jealous of his abilities both as ghoul and within the CCG. Most days he will be training and working out at the local gym, or in CCG facilities, but other days he will stay at his accommodation alone and spend the day reading and solving Sudoku. He is not heavily romantic, marred by his past experiences when joining the CCG at an early age, not too long after 'the incident'. He is already commanding and leading attacks within the area, raids and investigations. Sirus is unsure of his sister's whereabouts, or whether she is alive or not. Deep down, he longs to be reunited with her, although he is conflicted by his duty as a ghoul-eradicator. He is unsure how he would react to being reunited with her, and perhaps his intentions for doing so aren't as pure as it may seem.

History
Born and raised in America to two loving parents that always taught him about the goodness of one's heart and all that. So as he grew up, he was polite, friendly, nice... then a Ghoul attacked one night. His mother and father dead and part of his face got burned. Being orphaned has led him to be drafted into the CCG Orphan Project, training children like Johann to become Ghoul investigators when they grow up. He was well liked by most of the teachers and his classmates and worked diligently with his parents ideals. He graduated second best of his class. Quickly attending to his duties as a fully fledged ghoul investigator at a young age. By the age of 20, he was transferred to Japan and become a pioneer of the new class of investigators the Elite Investigators. After two years in Japan, he was asked to come back to America but he declined, for various reasons. His Japanese is still need polishing and would often interject English to his sentences.

History: Hansuke was born in the 7th ward. His parents were C-rated ghouls, so low on the CCG's radar that they didn't have aliases. They worked quietly, keeping to themselves and interacting with their neighbors only when absolutely necessary. His mother worked as a secretary, his father a janitor. To maintain their cover, they ate very little, and forced their son to starve with them. They lived as nobodies, and they died that way. When the CCG came knocking and questioned Hansuke's father about any suspicious behavior he might have witnessed from his neighbors, he betrayed himself by acting too nervous, by being terrified when, as a human, he should have no reason to be.

So, the CCG entered the house and killed them both without much trouble. Hansuke only survived because his mother hid him under her bed, and his neighbors, when later questioned, didn't know he existed. When he came out from under that bed, starving and scared and alone, he made a promise to himself that he wouldn't be like them. He wouldn't die meaning nothing to nobody. At the tender age of 6, he was homeless for the first time. Hansuke wandered the streets until he collapsed and was taken in by a young couple who thought he was a lost human child. They gave him blankets to keep him warm and toys to play with while they called the police. Their apartment smelled like lilies. A few hours after they took him in, it would smell like blood.

The second time he was homeless, he was 6. It was different though. Hansuke was stronger, determined, and unafraid to use his innocent looks to get what he wanted. He lived like that until he grew out of his childish features. Eventually, a kindly old man who owned a coffee shop took pity on him and offered to give him money in exchange for having him clean up the shop. He started going to school, and after a while, saved up enough money to pay to go to a University in the 8th ward. He even managed to afford a small, rundown apartment. The CCG gave him the moniker 'Mako' because of the shark-like bites he used to leave in his victims in the 7th ward. By the time the CCG made a genuine effort to root him out of the 7th, he was long gone.

Presently, Hansuke controls a tiny corner of the 8th ward near his apartment that he calls his territory.​

Personality: Daichi is a creature starved of attention. Anyone around him for any extended period of time can tell. A simple pat on the head means the world to him, and his loyalty can be bought with a few positive words thrown in his direction. He's desperate for it, like a child in the desert dying of thirst. He's fiercly defensive of the people he thinks are dear to him, and will show no mercy to anyone who threatens them. For him, this person is Akito. She was the second person to ever be kind to him in that dark, dark place, and he doesn't think he can ever make that up to her.

With Akito, he's content to simply be in her presence, often humming or smiling happily to himself for seemingly no reason at all. Without one of his precious people around, he's a completely different person. He becomes quiet and solitary (even though he hates it), and almost statue-like. This is because Daichi keeps his emotions, thoughts, and feelings buried deep within himself most of the time, and only a select few are allowed to see them.

History: Daichi doesn't remember much before. Before the dark place, before the CCG, before he was broken again and rebuilt, over and over until the CCG created something they liked, something useful, before someone came into his cell and told him his name was Daichi. He doesn't remember who, or why, just that he never saw them again after that. It was the first act of kindness, the domino that knocked over all the other dominoes and turned Daichi into someone who craved that kind of kindness. He doesn't remember much of after either. Only fragments of things. The name. Starving and pain and starving and more pain all mixed up together in his head. It went on for so long that Daichi thought it would never end. He thought he would never experience that brief kindness again. Then an albino stepped into his cell and told him her name was Akito, and then she asked him if he wanted coffee.

History:
Ayako Yamamoto was born to adoring ghoul parents in the heart of Japan. She grew up loved and adored by everyone around her, and was known for being a very sweet, if overly curious, girl. At times others thought her a bit odd due to her fascination with humans, but her parents merely thought it a phase and didn't worry about it. As she grew, so did her abilities, which wasn't exactly all that surprising, as both of her parents were quite renowned for being pretty strong. Surrounded by powerful ghouls since childhood, Ayato grew into an exceptional fighter with a passion for protecting others. However, since losing her mother and father to CCG agents at the age of 17, she has grown to have far less mercy on her prey, especially those allied with Ghoul Hunters.

History: Kanaye Igarashi was born and raised in Osaka, Japan to an American father and a Japanese mother. When he was ten years old, his parents sent him to America to live with his father's extended family to receive higher education in the United States. While he initially struggled to fit in, he found a small group of friends that accepted him into their circle and he eventually found something of a semi-normal life in the U.S. of A. However, his life in America would come to an abrupt end when he received news of his parents' brutal deaths at the hands of an unknown ghoul that would soon become known to the CCG of Japan as "The Spider". This dark event in his life scarred him and lead him to join the CCG with hopes to catch his parents' killer. Driven by a hunger for revenge, he excelled in the academy and went on to rise through the ranks of the CCG far more quickly than his peers. He is determined to avenge his loss, even if it means losing his life. He will NOT give up until "The Spider" lies dead.
