Relationships:
Richard Adrian/Father: Cherry was raised by her father, so naturally they are very close. Now that he is dying, she is doing anything within her power to make sure he is comfortable, happy, and loved.
Elizabeth Adrian/Sister: Cherry has been taking care of her 11-year-old sister for a few months now, ever since her father became to sick to take care of her himself. She doesn't know how to take care of a child, and while they get along, Cherry is concerned she's going to someone ruin her sister's childhood. That being said, she loves her to pieces and will do anything to protect her.
Personality:
Flaws: Stubborn, Self-serving, greedy at times (unintentionally)
Strengths: Mentally strong - she can do what needs to be done, Disciplined, Confident
Fears: A lot of bugs (one won't freak her out, but the idea of many does), seeing death coming, something happening to her sister.
Tough as nails and sharp as a tack, Cherry doesn't put up with anyone's shit. She doesn't look for fights and normally is the first one to take the high road, but push comes to shove she isn't afraid to do what needs to be done. She does most things with confidence and if she doesn't actually feel confident she fakes it 'till she makes it.
Background:
Cherry wasn't born very wealthy, but not dirt poor either. She knew the value of money, and on occasion, they were able to do fun things, but for the most part it was always known that if you couldn't afford it, neither could mom & dad. Cherry's mother died in childbirth with her sister when she was 15. It was going to be a tough situation with two kids, but the death of her mother took away a lot of the income they had, and while they were able to get by for awhile on the generosity of others, it didn't last long. Luckily enough, Cherry was able to get a job before long. Her grades dropped in school though, and she dropped out at 16. It wasn't too much of a disappointment though, Cherry knew she would never be able to afford to go to college anyways.

Her father got cancer when she was 20, but treatment helped along with quitting cigarettes, and he was able to go into remission. It didn't last forever though, and after several years he got it again, and this time it was much worse than the first. It didn't respond to any treatments, and it was only a few months before he was in the hospital and on death row. Cherry took care of Elizabeth after that, and it hasn't been easy.
Why I'm At The Hospital:
Father is sick with stage 4 lung cancer. Cherry has been spending most if not all her time there, as the doctors say he doesn't have long left.​

Jack Dexter/Father (Deceased): He adored his father very much. Michael would spend most of his time with his father. His father would take him hunting a lot when he was little and that was what sparked Michael's interest in guns.
Sarah Dexter/Mother (Deceased): He also loved his mother. He remembers times when he would get scared at night as a child and she would always comfort him.

Personality:
Flaws: Thinks about others needs too much before he thinks about his own needs, a little too kind, trusts people easily.
Strengths: Mentally and physically strong, Michael can see some pretty sickening stuff and still keep a mostly leveled head, people look up to him/natural born leader, he is not afraid of death if his death saved another.
Fears: Fears dying a meaningless death, he is scared of water since he almost drowned when he was a child.
Michael is very kind and caring. Maybe a little too kind and caring. He takes care of others needs before his own.

Background:
Growing up, Michael was taught to be kind and caring to people. His father and mother would tell him everyday, "Always be nice to someone. You never know what could happen.". When he was old enough, his father took him on his first hunting trip. Michael instantly fell in love with it. He learned everything he could about guns and hunting. Fast forward a couple of years and he had just finished high school and now it was time to figure out what he wanted to do in life. He considered going to college to become a police officer but he decided he would just try to raise enough money and open up his very own gun store. Unfortunately not long after Michael raised enough money to open his gun store both his parents died in an apparent 'electrical fire'. Now fast forward to the present. He is now 31 and has been working at his gun store for a little over a year now and he loves every second of it! People usually come into the store to use the shooting range or buy a gun or two.

Why My Character Is At the Hospital:
A man had an accident at the shooting range in his gun store and the paramedics asked Michael to accompany the man to the hospital.

Personality:
Most people tend to think that Zoya is a intimidating person from looks alone. And they’re right but she’s not has bad as most would think. She can be a social person when she wants her she’s someone who enjoys her alone time as well. Zoya is a hard working and can be a little intense, especially during a work out. She has a tendency to push herself to the limit. She has a gift when it comes to being observant. Zoya can spot things that most people won’t notice. She’s not afraid to make tough decisions either. Underneath her tough exterior Zoya is compassionate.

Zoya tends to bottle up her emotions rather than talk things out. She’s a Confrontational person, which has gotten her into a fair amount of trouble. Zoya tends to overthink things at times, which causes her to worry. She can be a bit of an asshole as well. She’s blunt to a fault almost.

Background:
Zoya was born to two Benin immigrants. They came to America believing that their children would have better opportunities there. As a child she was sort of an outcast because of her family’s culture. Both of her parents possessed tribal scars and dressed traditionally. Zoya didn’t let other get to her as she was proud of who she was. In school her grades were a little above average but not genius level. She managed to make a few friends as well.

Zoya began her scarification process at the age of 21, where she got her first scar on her chest. It was a painful process but worth it end the end. Zoya then went on to her other markings and tattoos. She managed to graduate from high school and get into a good college.

Why your character is at or near the Hospital:
Zoya was waiting to Ben looked at by the doctor. It was nothing serious, she was jist getting checked over and having some blood work done.

Physically, Andrew is fairly decently built and stands at an average height of five feet and nine inches. Beyond those details, everything else about his person is average in appearance and proportions, with brown hair and a growing stubble. Most notably, a healing bite wound is visible on his left forearm, though it’s shape suggest it originates from an animal rather than a human as one might suspect.

Andrew is dressed in a pair of black suit pants, Oxfords, and a white shirt with a black tie laced around it. Along his wrist are a set of clean bandages.

Current Inventory:
As of now, Andrew is carrying his cell phone and a pencil and note pad containing a number of sketches. He is also in possession of a set of keys to his apartment.

Stored Inventory: Andrew’s apartment is stocked with food, water, and other such basics one might expect in one’s place of residence. It also contains a number of hidden unfinished firearm prototypes, most of which a pistols.

Constance is a former British Royal Engineer, who had founded his own independent - though struggling - weapons company in the States, using whatever funds he had left to establish its presence in Portland.


Hobbies/Qualifications:
Andrew pursues the hobby of small arms design, supported by his engineering diploma acquired during his military service. Such a hobby would require in-and-out knowledge of how a firearm works. Obviously, his military service has also left him the knowledge of how to properly handle a firearm, and apply combat engineering as a short and long-term solution to appropriate issues.

Constance was born in the county of Devon, located within the United Kingdom.

Relationships:
Ever since Constance moved to the States, his contact with his family has been kept at a minimal, and all of his relationships in the present are purely professional.

Personality:
Strengths:
Constance could be described as a charismatic individual, employing the power of speech to acquire the trust of those he works with. Beyond that, Andrew applies a practical view to the world, seeking out logical solutions to presented obstacles. Furthermore, Andrew thinks with a business mentality, seeking to acquire the best result in every situation with minimal investment.

Flaws:
Andrew is often too prideful to admit defeat even when failure is obvious, and his snarky, sarcastic attitude often makes him unapproachable as an individual. His standards established for his peers are often too high, unreasonable, and sometimes completely unrealistic.

Background:
Andrew stems from a strong line of wealthy entrepreneurs based in the United Kingdom. Out of his family, he considers himself to be the black sheep of the group. His fixation with guns made him appear quite unusual considering strict laws on firearms in his native country. From the very start he always knew what he wanted to do.

As soon as he reached the appropriate age, Andrew signed himself up for military service with the Royal Engineers to acquire a better understanding of the technical details relating to munitions. That, and a diploma in engineering would bolster his public image once he became a household name. Three years later and Andrew left the military in pursuit of his dream once more, believing he acquired what he needed to advance towards his goals.

Eventually he moved to the States as a registered citizen and started up his own company using bank loans and whatever he could muster to fund his goal. In recent years, he has struggled to make it big, and certain future events may hinder his advance.

Andrew required medical attention after having been bitten by an animal during the early hours of the day.​

Background:
Born in Downtown Pittsburgh, Robert was born with somehow a silver spoon in his mouth. His dad was a Stock Broker and his mom was a Divorce Attorney, money was never a problem. He went to private school, from kindergarten all the way to University. His brother also followed his pth when it came to Education, but he decided to take a different approach. Both of them did. Their father wanted them to go to business school but Robert wanted to be a Surgeon and hos brother wanted to be a chef. They attended the same high school, different years but his brother went to Japan to do Culinary Arts. He went to John Hopkins to do Medicine.

When he was in the University, Robert gained a lot of knowledge when it comes to survival, how to camp and survive in the wilderness. He learned that from the Wildlife Club he joined when he was a first year. Basic Survival skills. Just what he needed to do in case he was trapped alone in a forest. But the most skills he learnt was alternative plants he could use when he has no medicine. That was a skill he would never forget.

He had a girlfriend of 4 years, but she went to New York to pursue Law. They do talk from time to time and occasionally visit her when he has time, maybe once a year.

Robert was on the duty roster and has 3 minor surgeries and an assist in a surgery planned for the day.

Appearance: Lincoln stands at an average height of 5'9, though only weighing a measly 130 lbs. He maintains a slim build, trading strength and muscle mass for speed and agility. As of currently, he has no distinguishing features.
Attire: Currently, Lincoln is dressed in a black button up coat and dark blue jeans, along with a pair of black dress shoes. Beneath his coat is a grey tank top.

Hobbies/Qualifications: Lincoln is quite inexperienced in this area, although his expertise does happen to include one, very important skill: Aikido. The martial art is something Lincoln has been practicing ever since a young age, and what he believes to be is an enjoyable form of exercise and interaction with others.
Birthplace: Nova Scotia, Canada

Relationships: Due to Lincoln's unstable childhood, he never truly had an opportunity to form lasting relationships with any of his family members. The closest he has ever been to somebody would have to be his brother, Eric. Unfortunately, Eric chose to remain in the province of Nova Scotia while Lincoln, unexpectedly to both his brother and the rest of his family, chose to seek a new life in America.
Personality: Alone, in the comfort of his own home, is the only time when Lincoln truly feels like himself. When the mask is finally taken off, Lincoln's curious and creative personality flourishes. His endless sense of creativity and desire to become something more than himself act a constant driving force within his life. His strengths include, but are not limited to: always having a creative approach to a problem, being very analytical as well as observational, along with the ability to persevere through difficult times.

In public, it's almost as if everything about Lincoln is subdued. His emotions and overall personality are all being held by the societal norms and expectations forced upon him from a young age, and he has yet to shake those limitations off. On the bright side, his senses seem to become more sensitive and perhaps even more enhanced in public. He has often regarded it as a cause of his mild social anxiety, though it has helped him become more observational of details. His flaws include, but are not limited to: being socially inexperienced, difficulty when it comes to communicating himself to others, as well as being extremely stubborn when it comes to defending his views.

Background: Lincoln was born in the small province of Nova Scotia, Canada. Growing up in a middle class family was mediocre...at best. His family loved him, yes, but they were, as well, mediocre...at best. School? It was alright. Friends? Could be better. It seemed that, everywhere he went and everything he tried to do within the small province, he was met with a wall. Not anything physical but, instead, a mental barrier. Whether it was because of his parents' endless attempts to drill "social etiquette" into him ever since he was a child or because of the constant shadow his older brother cast over him, he has yet to find out. Regardless, he eventually stopped trying to figure out why the wall was there and moved on to how to destroy the wall.

One day, during what appeared to be just another day, he discovered a crack in the wall. A way out. This escape would become attached to him so tightly that he, to his current age, would never be able to shake off, and the escape was writing. Excited in his long awaited discovery of a form of expression that he truly felt comfortable with, he immediately dropped out of college (previously pursuing a degree in law) and chose to instead become a freelance writer. His parents met his decision with anger and refusal, resulting in a large fight. It began with shouting, but quickly escalated to insults and even threats.

Deciding that he was finished with his past, Lincoln packed his bags and moved to America in hopes of continuing to express himself through his writing.

Why your character is at or near the Hospital: Lincoln needed inspiration for a certain scene in a book he was currently working on, and so he decided to head down a few blocks to visit the hospital.​

Appearance: Skyler stands at 5'1 and is thin, but has an athletic body build. She has long dark brown hair that she keeps up in a bun most of the time.
Attire: A long sweater with a fun cat logo and a pair of skinny jeans along with black hiking boots.

Current Inventory: Bookbag, two notebooks, a drawing pad, colored & regular pencils, Drawing charcoal, her laptop with the charger, her phone, house keys, bike Lock keys, a few extra hair ties, a water bottle full of water and a half-full bottle of ibuprofen
Storied Inventory: Her bike is chained locked on a rail outside. At home, she has mostly water and cereal because she needs to go shopping.

Vehicles: She doesn't own a car yet, but she's been saving up. At the moment she just goes everywhere on her bike or takes a bus.
Property: She rents a small studio apartment on the outskirts of town.

Relationships: Mother and Father: Skyler has a great relationship with her parents and she often tries to spends at least some time with them throughout the week, but it can be difficult with her schooling.
Her father recently was submitted to the Portland City Hospital because of back pain and trouble breathing. She often goes to see him before her volunteering hours.
Her mother lives on her own at the moment until Skyler's father gets out of the hospital. She often spends hours of her days sitting by her husband's side.

Personality Strengths: She is calm and tends to think about issues thoroughly before acting on something, but can also be on her toes and make quick choices. She is outgoing and cares a lot about people around her. Skyler is also very athletic and adventurous.
Personality Flaws: Though Skyler is usually happy and optimistic when she has low days, she gets stuck in a rut and will occasionally end up being depressed for more than just a few hours. She is easy to spook, even the little noises make her anxious and fearful.

Drawing Traditional & Digital: Skyler absolutely loves drawing and she'll often use it as an emotional outlet.
Fluent in 2 Languages: She learned Japanese from her mother and from growing up in the US she naturally learned English as well.
Speed Reader: Growing up Skyler loved to read, and while in high school she took a speed reading class.
Flexible: She took gymnastics in middle and high school
Basic Medicine: With her parents getting older by the day and her father now having back problems, Skyler has taken it upon herself to learn some basic medical skills, such as CPR, What to do in case of medical emergency, and how to treat, properly clean, and dress wounds. Though she has also been learning more while she has been working at the hospital as well
Athletic: Though not the fastest runner, Skyler can keep a decent pace for a decent amount of time, she loves playing sports, such as hockey, track, and tennis.

Background: Skyler was born in America, but was taught much of the Japanese culture and lifestyle from her mother as she grew up. She was expected to follow many of the Japanese traditions as she grew up, though her mother became more lenient on some of the rules and traditions as she grew older.

Skyler was born in California, but over time her family has moved multiple times through many different states because of her father's job. Since he worked in carpentry, they often moved to where he could find work and then a few months later they would again move to head to another location.

Appearance: Ralph is an African American who stands at 5' 10" with a weight of 187 pounds. He's somewhat overweight in appearance as seen with his belly, but built with muscles from backbreaking work carrying packages. His hair is short and dark, his eyes are brown, and he bares a goatee on his face. From seeing him up close, one would notice a minor scar near his bottom lip. If someone were to lift his right sleeve all the way up, they would see a tattoo consisting of a heart and two names: Ralph and Olivia. His left foot is bruised from dropping a package earlier ago on his foot.
Attire: UPS uniform consisting of dark brown short sleeve shirt with UPS logo, dark brown shorts, white socks, and black shoes.

Appearance: Tony stands at exactly 6’0 and weighs 190 lbs. He has a normal, healthy adult appearance. Not too fit, but at the same time not grotesque. He keeps his brown hair short and formal, and his facial hair short and tight. Tony keeps his appearance professional, which means no tattoos and any bumps and bruises are kept concealed until they are healed.

Attire: Currently Tony is wearing a steel grey suit jacket with matching suit pants, a simple white button down shirt with a white undershirt beneath that. Tony accessorised with black dress shoes and a watch plated with gold tightly strapped to his wrist. Finally, hanging from his dress shirt is a black and white striped tie.

Current Inventory: Folder filled with various legal documents, pen, car and house keys on the same key ring, wallet with a small amount of cash/bank cards/ ID, and finally his cellphone.

Stored Inventory: In his car Tony has a leather briefcase filled with more legal documents, a reusable water bottle which is current half filled, and an ice scraper for when his window frosts over. Personality: Tony is a very selfish, close minded individual. He is known to be very sarcastic and not very emotional. Tony is stubborn and thinks very highly of himself. With that said, Tony is not all bad. He is extremely loyal if you can gain his trust, and does enjoy helping others even if it is only to further his own agenda. Tony is a very friendly individual to those he cares about, and is very dependable to always have a friends back.

Background: Born and raised in the heart of New York City, Tony was no stranger to the rough and tumble of city life. Throughout his time in school Tony was a bit of a troublemaker, pulling pranks and openly cheating on exams. But he was very intelligent, which allowed him to go to his first choice college. To help pay for it, Tony ran scams on the side with his buddies. From insurance fraud to selling fake jewelry, Tony was always down to make a quick buck. After finishing law school, Tony tried to go legit and operated independently. It was not long before the call of money found him representing members of an Italian mob family. Tony made money hand over fist working for the family, so much he had a highrise apartment and a expensive car. That all came crashing down around him the day he had to defend the bosses brother, and the cards were heavily stacked against him. The bosses brother went to prison and the boss blamed Tony, putting a price on his head for his apparent failure. So Tony did what he thought any sensible man would do, he cashed out, took on debt from loan sharks and moved across the country. Now he lives in Portland not even close to as wealthy as he once was, which contributes to his poor personality. Tony became somewhat of an ambulance chaser and uses the knowledge of the law to make ends meet.

Attire: Midge is wearing a mint green sweater with a hole pattern going up the sleeves and chest, with a white undershirt underneath. She's wearing it with distressed skinny jeans, black boots, and her mother's necklace, as well as her silver flower earrings.

Background: Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico to Jun Ho Ryang and Carmela Ryang, she grew up in a house by the beach. She went throughout high school never really being paid much attention to, and achieved good grades. She'd never been in a fight in her life, and up until the end of the world, hadn't harmed a fly. When she was 15, she realized she wanted to be a nurse. After graduating high school, she moved to the US to pursue a career in nursing. Before she moved, her father taught her how to use a handgun so that in case of a break in, she could protect herself without him. While in college, she came to realize she was bisexual after kissing her friend Elizabeth at a New Years party. Elizabeth didn't feel the same way, breaking Midge's heart. Despite this, they stayed friends, and Midge was very concerned when Eliza got in a car accident on her way to class.

Liam Boyers was his step-father. Owen saw him more as a replacement of his mother, but he did love the man ten times better than her. Though they aren't close, Owen still respect and cares for the other man, supporting his fathers' relationship with each other.
Cassie Boyers was his mother. She left Kyle when Owen was around 9 years old, leaving the boy with him. Owen hasn't had any contact nor seen her since that night she left.

Personality:
Owen is the type of guy who likes to keep to himself. He despises conflict, and he often tries to avoid it if possible. At times, when he is feeling brave enough, he will try and stop a fight. He can be very timid and shy around other people, often afraid to let his own voice be heard in fear of getting shut down or ignored. Its hard to break his shell, but once you do you would learn that he's actually a sweet and empathetic guy. He doesn't want any harm to come to anyone, and he just wants what is best for everyone else. Once he feels trusting enough toward a person, Owen may become dependent and clingy to that person.

Background:
Owen was born in Seattle, Washington. This is where he grew up. When Owen was around the age of 7, he was diagnosed with epilepsy, due to his sudden seizures he would have on a weekly bases. His parents were beyond worried, and they began teaching the boy about his medication, stressing how important it was. Owen lived in Seattle until he was around 9 years old. At this time, his mother divorced his father and left the two alone. Shortly after the divorce, Kyle began looking for a new place for them to live, sick of the city of Seattle. Packing their bags, the boy and his father moved to Portland, Oregon. Shortly after the move, Kyle found the grocery store and began working here, supporting Owen as he grew up.

Owen quickly became the social outcast in school as he grew into high school. He didn't have many friends except for a few, and he preferred to be alone most of the time. When he was around age 14, his father became the new manager of the store and hired the boy to work here and save up for college. Owen hated the idea of working. He would much rather be at home, cooking, or be with his friends and practice parkour.

When Owen was 15 years old, this is when he met his fathers new lover, a man. After witnessing these two get married, Owen quickly learned that he, himself, was a homosexual as well. He began to get feelings towards other guys, and have no physical attraction to females. After he came out to one of his so called friends, the rumor went around school and Owen quickly became a victim of bullying. This only made the boy want to seclude himself further and he avoided any activities or clubs at school, only wanting to hang out with his few friends outside of school.

Patient. Owen had an accident that morning when he was out with his friends. Out of jealousy toward one of his friends, Owen tried to do a jump he had no practice with, and he ended up popping his kneecap out of place.​

Personality:
Generally speaking Mac is easygoing and not hard to get along with, a kind heart mixed in with a sarcastic tongue. Though when it comes to his brother or something he feels strongly enough about he can come off aggressive. Mostly he's just protective and adamant about his views. Mac tends to doubt himself and if he's doing the right thing when it comes to running the shop as well as raising Cole. He can be reckless, something he's reminded of constantly by others. This usually comes from the fact that his anger gets the best of him on occasion. Mac's an honest man, some might say too honest or blunt, but he's not one to shy away from telling it the way he sees it.

Background:
When Mac was ten it was the best and worst day of his life. His younger brother Cole was born, but his mother died during childbirth. Their father raised the two boys on his own. Cole and Mac were as close as brothers would normally be, Mac would ditch the younger boy when he could to go hang out with his friends throughout middle school and some of high school. Beyond that the three we're close having only each other to lean on.

Mac had been a College Baseball player, he had dreams of going pro and his coach's we're hopeful for it. His father however had always wanted him to work for him at his auto shop full time. Mac respected his fathers wishes and his father respected Mac's dream, and Mac did work part time but only when he could. The day his father died in an accident was the day Mac dropped everything. He quit the team, dropped out of college, and moved back home to take over his father's Auto Shop and take care of his younger brother Cole on his own. Mac being twenty one at the time and Cole being eleven. Mac regretted much with his father but the one thing he regretted the most was never telling his father he was gay, his father was the last one to not know and Mac never found the right time.

Luckily his fathers business had been doing well and they we're in good shape financially, which Mac kept up. Six years had passed since he'd become responsible for so much after losing so much as well. Mac tries with Cole but it's difficult to understand what the teenager is really thinking most of the time. It's difficult to play both the brother and the father at the same time, and he has no doubt it strains their relationship.

Barely crossing the mark at a height of 5'8", Zoe Johnston has a thoroughly average physique without prominent muscles or bones visible beneath her skin. Aside from some thickness around her abdomen and a slight muffin top, her build is unremarkably commonplace. Although they are typically hidden from view, she has a multitude of unique tattoos on her back and right bicep. Notably, the skin on her knuckles and fingertips is dark, rough, and calloused.

A charcoal black, leather jacket with stripped padding covering the shoulders will be unzipped to reveal a white muscle tee branded with the black decals of the American flag. Her slate, worn denim jeans are fastened by a simple, brown leather belt and an oval, gray buckle with a buffalo etched into the face of the metal. Wool, black fingerless gloves adorn her hands and a pair of leather, black boots are fitted to her shin by three, buckled straps overtop criss-crossed shoe laces. The only accessory of mark she wears is a pair of old dog tags, though she typically tucks them into her shirt and keeps them out of sight.

Zoe usually carries a .45 caliber M1911A2 pistol for self-defense, but decided to leave the gun inside of her car's glove box - for public decency's sake. She also has a compact multi-tool and a small flashlight stored in a storage compartment above the dashboard, with other roadside emergency supplies including a spare tire, a tank of deiseal, a winter coat, a disposable rain cover, and a battery-powered lantern with a pair of spare batteries.
Her household contains a mediocre supply of cheap food stuffs, a case of purified water, a set of basic tools for both house and automobile maintenance, and a limited wardrobe. Further reinforcing her self-reliant day-to-day lifestyle, Zoe has a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun for home defense. Traditional family hand-me-downs have left her in possession of an M1 Garand semi-automatic rifle, which she uses to blow off steam at local shooting ranges. In anticipation of the annual hunting and fishing seasons, Zoe has a fishing tackle box containing various hooks, fishing lines, and replacement parts. In the corners of her closet, she stores a variety of hunting equipment including a pair of two-way radios, a large backpack, camouflaged hunter's garments, multiple trail cameras, and callers for elk and ducks.

1. Target Practice: To sustain her sense of security and distance herself from the stresses plaguing her life, Zoe routinely visits a local firing range to practice shooting the guns that she owns as well as a variety of rented firearms, whenever she can afford such a luxury.
2. Licensed Elk Hunter and Fisherman: She takes full advantage of her skill with firearms to earn extra money on the side by selling the game she acquires during Oregon's elk hunting and fishing seasons, respectively.
3. Guitar Player: The stresses of life, Zoe have found, can be easily woo'd by the steady picking of a guitar's strings and a little bit of inspiration. Years of toying with an acoustic have opened another opportunity for her to use her skills to earn additional profit by playing for local bands in need of a guitarist.
4. Reading: Whenever she has the time (and patience) to divulge in her personal library, Zoe is particularly fond of mysteries, political thrillers, and historical texts.

Relationships​

To this day, Zoe reminisces on the loving bond she shared with her parents, Natalie and Benjamin Johnston. Despite repeated treks through Hell and high water, they managed to shoulder the weight without flagging. Their affection could be described as "tough love", but her parents effectively instilled values of family-orientation, fairness, and the rewards of a hardy work ethic.
Zoe had a powerful, seemingly unconquerable, attachment with a handsome, young man by the name of Alex Bahng, a long-time companion and an even longer history of the times whenever they were friends.
After settling down in Portland, Oregon, her routine visits to the gun shop led her to befriend the manager of the building, Michael James Dexter, and several of his employees. He had previously offered her a job in his shop, but she kindly refused for the sake of her presently-cluttered schedule.
A list of reasons exist for Zoe's migration to Oregon, but the most prominent is also her most beloved: her infant daughter, Selina Johnston.

Personality​

Zoe typically exudes an abrasive nature, in that she enjoys teasing or, once she feels confident enough to do so, outright insulting those around her. No matter what she says, however, it's simply her way of killing time or relieving herself of anxiety. She is particularly fond of doing so towards individuals who prove to be a source of irritation. However, those that she grows to respect receive her sardonic sense of humor and her loyalty to upholding her newfound relationship, at least as much as her persisting wariness of others will allow. Despite her sensitive need for security, Zoe is warm, welcoming, and generally kind in casual conversation with acquaintances or strangers. Above all else, she values fairness and prioritizes the well-being of her family - whatever the cost may be. Her transition into motherhood has only empowered these particular traits as the famed maternal instincts and unconditional, motherly love kick in.
Her most crippling flaw is the fiery side of herself: a finite temper and an extremely limited amount of patience, especially when under significant distress. If she's pushed in the wrong place, at the wrong time, her aggression can explode into a fury and physically confront the source of the stress. Her irritability makes Zoe a difficult presence to deal with for extended periods of time, though she is well-aware of her own behavior. Her struggle to rein in her own emotions only flares her inhibition and depressive external locus of control, creating a vicious cycle of self-destruction. Lastly, her absolute devotion to caring for her family, combined with her instinctive prudence towards those around her, can drive her to appear incapable of viewing the bigger picture of the situation before her.

Background​

Born and raised in the Solitude Plains Trailer Park, smack-dab in the middle of Skagit County, Washington, Zoe had a modest upbringing with two, loving parents who valued self-sustenance, family-orientation, and the traditional American way of life. Outside eyes could view the conditions of her childhood as dubious, but she appreciated her parents' tough-love whenever she realized her genuine capability to live without leaning on others. That is, until she had a fortune encounter with a fellow peer named Alex.
Soon after her sixteenth birthday, the harsher aspects of reality barreled into her life like a freight train whenever she was torn from sleep by the thundering sounds of Natalie and Benjamin engaging in a fierce argument. She saw the writing on the wall as these arguments became increasingly frequent, but her attempts to escape into a more pleasant existence only compounding her stresses: Zoe became pregnant with Alex's child and the eventual revelation to her parents was explosive, to say the least. They, being a young and infatuated couple, agreed that they just had to leave - anywhere that wasn't the place they had called home. Drifting southward over the course of a year, Zoe and Alex had barely settled just outside of the city limits of Portland, Oregon before the stressors weighing on their romantic link ultimately proved to be too much for them to endure any further. Mere days after the birth of her baby girl, Zoe was awaiting to watch her own child be taken out of her life, trying to make a home out of motel room and wrestling with the fallout of sheer dumb luck, her own poor decisions, and an overbearing feeling of failure.

Background:
Alexander came from a really poor family in NYC, New York. Growing up was hard for him, his parents and his younger sibling. Money was always a problem for them and Medicare was something that they didn't have. Where they lived was a small rundown apartment that was barely able to fit all five of them. It became even more difficult when his father passed away, that the rent was very difficult to come by. Heck there where times when he would barely see his mom at all, the only time being for breakfast and lunch, after that, she left to do whatever job she wanted. Eventually his mother also passed away when he was 12 years old and he was forced to go to a Foster home while his younger siblings where sent to different places.

Eventually he would be adopted by Thomas Wilson, a former pilot. It was from where he learned everything that came from being a pilot. At the age of 18, after graduating, he joined the Marines, where he became a helicopter pilot. Currently he has been given a vacation, where he is staying with Miguel Montenegro, who is his only friend.

While she is normally perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy. Calypso has an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Sadly she feels misunderstood by the majority of people making up her home, besides her father who understands her mischievous and crazy side. When she spent time with her father she would feel a fountain of joy and inspiration. She is often guided by her principles rather than by logic, excitement, or practicality. When deciding how to move forward she will look to honor, beauty, morality and virtue. She is led by the purity of her intent, not by rewards or punishments.

Weakness:
Loyalty. Loyalty isn't usually considered a weakness but for her it is. She would do anything and everything for someone she cared about and would die for one of her loved ones without a moment's hesitation. Her sister is her biggest soft spot and she had always wanted to protect her from the world. She also isn't a big fan of water and will avoid deep bodies of it at all costs. She also isn't a big fan of lots of smoke, just the way it suffocates you and gets in your lungs makes her feel horrid.

Strength:
something Calypso has been good at since a young age would be talking her way out of situations. She can get almost anyone to believe her and can get out of mostly every situation. Besides a few with her dad.. Shes disciplined and studious since she's undergone a lot of medical training which is a rather large strength. Due to her upbringing she tends to be cautious to trust new people unless they have shown to be trustworthy.

Background: Growing up in New York is an interesting upbringing. From the Broadway influences to the easy drug access things were never boring, especially when raising oneself. Calypso had it tough growing up in New York City, they were a low income family with a high income needs mother. Not that she would call the woman who brought her up a mother. She didn't blame her situation on her father as the only way she could look after her sister was through the money he sent to them. Her had father worked in the military for all of her childhood and didn't have to witness their living situation, but it was bad. Thanks to her mothers constant drug use the two Rigel children had to raise themselves. As soon as Calypso finished school she moved and took her sister with her to Portland where she worked and studied to provide a home them. Once things had finally settled down and they had stable jobs and a nice house disaster struck soon after. Her sister had been diagnosed with cancer and it wasn't going away, she was dying. But they weren't going to give up hope.

notes: fen's migranes are due to an imbalance in her serotonin levels. this is in no way fatal, and can be aided with medication. fen traveled to the US with the potential prospect of trying out a new, more effective medication, although this will never happen due to the outbreak.

Background:
Growing up in the City That Never Sleeps, Marco grew up watching dazzling Broadway shows and street performers. He was always fascinated with the clothes the performers wore and slowly developed a love for fashion. As Marco grew up, he started to draw more and more; forgoing high school parties and instead stayed home to design more clothes. Most of his friends thought it was weird and wanted him to come out more but his passion won him over. Countless hours were dedicated to creating amazing clothing almost to the point of obsession. His room was filled with papers strewn out on the floor and tacked onto the walls as if it was the home of a crazed artist.
So when Marco had to decide on where to go to college, there was no other choice for him than the Fashion Institute of Technology. Marco was well liked by his student colleges and his professors with his outgoing attitude and skill in the field. Through the recommendation of his professors, Marco had been offered a job as a lead designer for a yearly fashion show. This allowed his name to be spread throughout the social circles and soon, Marco was receiving calls for custom order clothing just in his junior year. But that show wasn’t the best moment in his life. The best moment in his life was when he met his future wife in one of his classes. Maria was her name and she would be his secret muse for the next year until he finally got the courage (and the help of his friends) to ask her out.
One thing lead to another and by the time the lovely couple had graduated, they had started to live together and were expecting one more person to join their happy little family. Nothing could make Marco any happier, an amazing job, a beautiful wife, and a child on the way; it was everything he could have asked for.
But fate pulled a cruel trick on the poor man. As he and his wife were driving home, Marco felt his entire body jerk violently and hit his head against the wheel and blacked out. When he awoke, the first thing he saw was the gray ceiling. Turning his head he saw gray curtains, a gray vase, and finally, gray flowers. Marco had become colorblind. He let out a cry that rang throughout the entire hospital, alerting doctors to his location. It was then his life turned upside down. The doctor explained to him that he was in an accident caused by a drunk driver. Marco had barely made it out alive but his wife had passed away at the site of the accident.
Letting out another cry, Marco wept and wept until he could cry no more. Everything had been taken away from him in a cruel twist of fate. Leaving the hospital, he returned home to an empty house. Walking through the house he looked at the pictures of his wife, the bed that was all his now, and the half painted baby room.
Not wanting to be consumed by sadness, Marco delved into his work not wanting to think about what had just happened. It took years of drawing, and work, and helpful friends to help him move on from his situation. Five years later, Marco moved out of the city into Portland in order to move on from his life in NYC; and although he had become very successful and worked with beautiful people, his muse would always be his first love.
Why your character is at or near the Hospital: After years of drinking and smoking, Marco decided to finally go see a doctor to get a checkup after much pressure from his friends.

Appearance: Javel doesn't have much "uniqueness"to his physical appearance. He stands at six feet, two inches. People assume that his hair is fake, due to its length. However, he's planning to get dreadlocks that reach down to the middle of his back. He has a medium sized lightning bolt on his right shoulder, with a large birthmark covering his left side. His parents kept him under close eye, so he has no scars on his body.

He's a very good listener and is not quick to judge unless you give him a reason to. However, he struggles with his self-esteem (you can usually find him away from the group and talking horribly about himself.). He tends to think about others before putting himself first, which causes him to hurt himself both physically and emotionally. Also, he doesn't do well with loud voices. He doesn't have any fears that he knows about at the moment, however, some say he's afraid of tight spaces.

Background: Javel grew up in a reserved house hold with only him and Liz. Their parents tried for another child, but ended in a miscarriage. Both parents were in the military, resulting in his father having severe PTSD and depression. He grew up in an environment of shouting and cursing from his father, which caused him to lose all respect for him. His mother ended up having an affair, which brought out the true nature of his father. Since then, he's been yelling at her in public and putting her down for his own mistakes. He made a vow to not become like him, ever in his life. Protecting his mother and sister was his priority when he reached 18. He could care less about his father. You can say his experiences made him stronger.

Background:

Chihara was born to Dayo Eze, a pharmaceutical scientist, and Subira Eze, a physical therapist. They lived in a small quaint house in Dundee, Oregon with Chihara's grandmother, Machie.

Chihara had a nice, normal childhood up until she was 7. For some reason that she still doesn't know to this day, her parents' relationship grew tense. Her parents would argue more and her dad and mother were out of the house more. It was at this time that she grew closer to her grandmother since her parents were always away when she came home from school.

When she was 10, her mother got pregnant and gave birth to her sister, Rayowa. After a year, her father found out that Rayowa was not his child so he divorced Subira.

Chihara, Subira, Rayowa, and Machie left Dundee to go to Portland. For a while, Chihara hated her little sister, believing it to be her fault but after a while she softened up. She helped her grandma take care of Rayowa when her mother started working again.

After 3 years, Chihara went to highschool and met her best friend, Cassidy. It was then that she started to do track because Cassidy recommended it.

She was accepted into a college in Indiana and she left.

She recently came to visit her family in Portland because she had a break off school.

However, an accident in one of the labs caused an acid to be spilled onto her arm, causing severe burns along it. It didn't stop her. After years of therapy while still working for her degree, she managed to regain most of her function to her arm, and worked as a Paramedic.

She is a very small girl and often gets mistaken for being underage even though she's been legally allowed to drink alcohol for the past four years. Her eyes are a deep dark brown almost blending in with her pupil. She rarely ever wears makeup, partly because she doesn't like to cover up her freckles, and partly because she doesn't have time. Background:
Hadley was born to Georgia Beyer and Vincent Fairway. Being just children themselves, her father decided he didn't want to take part in their lives and left before Hadley was born. This forced Georgia to raise Hadley by herslef with little help. Georgia balanced a full time job, school, and a child while Hadley was growing up. Hadley remembers nights when her mother would have a big test and she would sit by her side while she studied and gave her a gummy bear for every question her mother got right on her practice tests. Georgia tried her best to be around for Hadley, but she always felt like she fell short. Hadley admired how hard working her mother was growing up, and all for her benefit. To this day, she has a wonderful relationship with her mother and tries to remind her as often as she can that she is a great mother.

Her father's abandonment has taken a toll on Hadley's mental health. She grew up with the need to be perfect in every aspect of her life. She felt she needed to be the perfect daughter, the perfect student, and the perfect sister. Any aspect of her life lacking in perfection sent her into an anxiety ridden episode. Her mother tried her hardest to reassure Hadley that everything did not have to be perfect in her life. Unfortunately, the anxiety was so deeply rooted and she hasn't been able to get past it.

When Hadley was in middle school, her mother gave birth to a perfect pink baby girl named Piper on Christmas Day. Georgia was in a long term committed relationship when her happy accident was announced. Since then, Georgia and Piper's father parted ways but they still keep in touch for Piper's sake. Hadley's half sister was the best Christmas present she has ever gotten. Her sister is extremely loved by Georgia and Hadley. She is their prized possession and they swore to protect her at all cost. The club the three girls formed would never be broken by any outside force. Since the separation of Georgia and Piper's father, Georgia has stayed single, focusing on Piper and her needs.

In high school, Hadley decided to take a Floral arrangement class as an extra elective. She took it for an easy A but left it having a fiery passion for floral design. This class taught her how to be creative with flowers and Hadley learned that she was extremely talented in the field. She went to floral design competitions and won first place almost every time. She did her first full wedding as a 17 year old high school student. This was absolutely her passion and she wanted to continue creating beautiful designs and making events beautiful with her work. When looking into college she announced to her mother that she wanted to go to school for floral design. Her mother objected firmly. There was no money in that line of work. She would be destitute. Hadley took her mother's words into consideration and out of respect, she decided to go to school for nursing instead.

The day she got her acceptance letter to Oregon Health & Science University was a day of celebration. She was so excited to pack up her bags and start her education into the world of medicine. The four years she spent at OHSU were the best she's had so far. She felt a sense of freedom she didn't have back home, living with her mom and sister. Is was at OHSU that she met her best friend Ashlynn. They met in their first class, their first semester of freshmen year. The second they started talking on that first day of classes, they didn't stop. They were attached at the hip ever since. Wherever Hadley went, Ashlynn was sure to be there right next to her. Ashlynn was a spitfire. She always wanted to party hard and was always getting herself into trouble throughout their years at OHSU. Hadley was her voice of reason throughout their schooling. Hadley also met her current fiance Conner Kemsley at OHSU. He was in school to become a future Oncologist. They met through friends and hit it off instantly. They have been together for five years and he popped the question just a few months ago. Although she loves Conner, Hadley is having second thoughts about marrying Conner. She feels stuck and complacent and as if she's settling.

After graduation, Hadley decided to stay in Oregon. Partly because she got a job in the same Hospital after an internship, and partly because she's fallen in love with the city. Currently, Hadley works at Portland City Hospital a nurse. It's been years since she's done anything in the floral design industry and she's craving a creative outlet in her otherwise mundane life. She's been trying to sniff out a job around local floral shops and event companies. So far, no luck, but she isn't giving up.

Background: Kai was born in Kyoto, however when she was five her mother was involved in a fatal car accident and her dad decided to move the family to Canada. Her brother was two years older than her and the two were quite inseparable, the two mostly explored the woods near their home and didn't really try to befriend other kids at their school. When she was eight, she took to climbing and trying to sneak around or hide in places one would find hard to fit in if they weren't small or creative enough. Her small climbing eventually turned into climbing up walls or rocky areas or anywhere challenging. She was twelve when her father taught her and her brother how to handle rifles. She at first, wasn't fond of shooting animals, but eventually, she started going with them more when she saw Hayato enjoying it. She was 15 when she joined the track team, taking a liking to the sport since it helped her beat her brother in races. Throughout this time, she still practiced climbing and fitting into tight spaces, but her father had also encouraged her to do more 'feminine' things such as sewing and cooking. Although at sixteen her father suddenly announced that they were moving to Oregon, and she remembered her brother and father fighting. Her father forced her to leave with him the next day, leaving Hayato behind at the family house. After graduating from high school she visited her brother who was attending college on scholarship to become a doctor. He taught her what she knows about wounds, and after that, she frequently visited when she could. Kai decided to go to college to major as a teacher and volunteered at the local hospital. After she moved into her apartment, she rarely visited her father, as there is still a tension between them. Kai just recently found out he was in the hospital after a work accident and had decided to visit him.
