Reports arrived in Vathora at around midnight about an incident involving the Zuivensting vessel, an Edurian vessel owned by the Achysian company Akmoyoros International. The ship had left the port of Edurre earlier in the evening, headed for the Andemyrish port of Anttu. Not much is presently known about what exactly has happened - Edurian sources seem to report that the ship put out a mayday call at 23:06, and the Edurian Coast Guard is organizing the first response. 652 souls were on board, but Akmoyoros has not yet released the full passenger and crew list. A further update mentioned that Andemyrish Coast Guard vessels were also assisting in the rescue operations, and then a final update as of 1:17 confirmed that the ship had indeed sunk.

The company was uncharacteristically quiet in the first hour after the first report was received, but a press conference was quickly organized at their headquarters, where Arghas Iyrothos, the CEO, shared a quick statement. The statement was pretty cold and factual, informing the public that Akmoyoros International had opened lines of communication with the coast guards involved in the rescue operations, and that the quick response team of the company was sent to Edurre. The company also firmly refused to take responsibility for the incident, mentioning that it will conduct an investigation of its own, but making it clear that they consider either a manufacturing defect with the ship or human error to be behind the incident.

As we await further information from the scene, we also received a statement from Zaryol Margan, the Imperial Minister of the Exterior, which confirmed that Achysia had contacted both Andemyr and Edury in order to offer them their full assistance, and that ships and helicopters of the Imperial Coast Guard Service have been dispatched to the area.

Today, during an unrelated press conference, Kaeros Poryano, His Imperial Majesty's Ambassador and Legate to the Union of Florencian Republics, was asked to give a statement about the current situation from a few reporters. As everyone knows, a month ago, a popular Florencian newspaper reiterated the claims of Florencian nationalist conspiracy theorists, and accused Achysia and the Azoran Community as a whole of having supported a terrorist cell inside of Florencia. Both His Imperial Majesty's Government and the Azoran Community have so far refused to even comment on the matter, maintaining a strict policy of silence, despite calls within the Florencian All-Union Congress for an investigation, and protests organized by nationalist and religious Florencian groups in front of His Imperial Majesty's Embassy in Saint-Vera.

His Excellency, the Ambassador, has also refused to present an official statement of behalf of the Imperial Government, instead simply stating that His Imperial Majesty's Government refuses to respond to ridiculous and provocative claims made my second-rate sensationalist reporters. The ambassador also stated that the Embassy's refusal to make a statement until now are representative of his honest desire to ignore the agitation of extremists, and to continue the well established and peaceful relation and cooperation between the Union of Florencian Republics and the Empire of Achysia. His Excellency has also clearly stated his belief that the esteemed All-Union Congress will not let itself be swayed by the cries of lunatics, and his firm belief that any investigation will not find any sort of connections between the terrorists and the Imperial Authority for Security and Information. Before finishing the conference, His Excellency has also made it clear that His Imperial Majesty's Embassy to the Union of Florencian Republics was still considering whether to sue Enora Jareon and the Patriot for slander, something that would be decided after further consultation with His Imperial Majesty's Ministry of the Exterior.

Radicals Call for Investigation on Achysian Collusion

Popular Front delegates within the congressional Extraordinary Committee on Counter-Revolutionary Activities have closed ranks behind Verica Novaković and are now backing a resolution to investigate Achysian collusion with domestic terrorists and the Freedom Alternative Party. Few moderates within the National Republican and Shinjin Citizenry Bloc led Popular Front are opposed to Citizen Novaković's resolution, which has garnered bipartisan support from dissenting radicals within the Free Soil Party and Revolutionary League. This comes after statements from the Achysian autocrats to ignore internal reports and a current ongoing investigation by the GDI into Achysian collusion. That regime's Ambassador, Kaeros Poryano having lumped together legitimate claims from law and security personal or credible journalists with ultrarevolutionary conspiracy theorist Citizen Enora Jareon.

During a meeting of the committee on Wednesday Delegate Novaković called on her peers to "recognize that our Motherland is being threatened by the very headquarters of anti-republican values" and to "uproot these terrorists". This move has received official support from the Chancellor Adeler and a muted response from First Secretary Kontic who on social media expressed her intentions that: "The extraordinary council should stick to the facts and avoid fear mongering".

While some radicals from the Free Soil and Revolutionary League have joined with Popular Front deputies within the Counter-Revolutionary Activities committee, most moderate politicians have expressed skepticism. Though opinions do vary. Most all delegates are in agreement that some form of Achysian or Azoran involvement with the Red Hill Reactionaries is highly probable. Current statements from the GDI and local security authorities corroborate these claims. "There is no doubt the enemies of the free world would conspire with domestic terrorists....but there isn't a warranted cause for Big Government to drag our misguided reactionary friends in the Alternative Party into the court of public opinion", Delegate Tatanka-Ptecila of Ponka declared. Others like the Free Soil Party's Kear Ayasha of Berashoka criticized the radicals for pursuing an investigation "...far too prematurely, they [the GDI] are still actively investigating links to Freedom Alternative. It isn't up to congress to decide if these citizens are reactionary, but the rule of law and a [revolutionary] tribune."

There are 24 members of the Popular Front within the committee and an additional 9 delegates from other parties have stated their attention to vote for the resolution. This giving Citizen Novaković the needed majority to get the resolution approved when congress convenes next week, baring any possible recall of delegates or switching of allegiance. Should it pass the the committee will be free to conduct an investigation into both the Red Hill Five and Freedom Alternative Party's tentative links to the Achysian spy apparatus. The forty member standing committee in the Assembly of the Citizenry can compel witnesses to testify before congress either voluntarily or through subpoena to conduct it's investigation.

The Extraordinary Committee has been a permanent fixture of the All-Union Congress since the Hardliner Plot was uncovered more than four decades ago. Often times moderates or the anti-establishment criticize the committee for being an unneeded or unconstitutional expansion of All-Union power. Claims of the standing extraordinary committee devolving into a sort of rapturous and misguided witch hunt akin to a softer legislative version of the Scarlet Terror have held some weight from time to time. Regardless the committee still stands and exercises the powers awarded to it by the peoples' deputies.

WHY ACHYSIA AND FRIENDS SEEKS OUR DESTRUCTION

As our fellow citizen delegates in the Assembly of the Peoples begin the proper procedures and deliberations within our republican system to bring about the execution of justice upon the assailants of our revolutionary values now is a good time to take stock of the situation. For a great many deal of incidents and flashpoints have now been brought to the international public's attention that warrant the scrutiny of progressive eyes and investigation. We have long discussed how Florencia and her allies stand at odds against the Azoran powers and their lackeys elsewhere. A war fought away from prying eyes. Even the most moderate republican in any blue state recognizes that the forces reaction seek the domination of the citizenry through either obvious or subversive means. The military or intelligence communities would refer to this active and passive measures Those of us with steadfast loyalty to the cause of the public and social republican values recognize that our enemies unknowingly subscribe to a near all-powerful international cabal of the corporate, political, military, and celebrity power. And their aligned secret societies seek to stretch their dark tendrils and drench the free world in their symbiology, savagery, and supremacy.

ACHYSIANS IN BED WITH TERRORISTS

Perhaps that statement may be a bit of a stretch. One should lend a terrorist a bit more sympathy than to degrade their brutalist inclination by comparing them to the Achysians. To say that this impish and wicked nation has not demonstrated the values of evil on Earth would only be acceptable for the blind and deaf. One can look no further than their colonizing projects in the New World and Dharia. Of the total wanton rape, pillaging, and forced conversion. The second world war as well. No doubt Achysian parents must subjugate their children to continuous beatings and repeated abuses to produce such a blood thirsty community of animals that gleefully go about tarnishing the pages of history with the masochistic machinations. If one is faithful they might believe that the Achysian is naturally born from a void, devoid of any love or affection from the Gods.

And most recently the Achysian voidling has demonstrated their blatant disregard for the sanctity of human life. Yes, supporting the Red Hill Reactionaries, the Freedom Alternative Party, and most likely plenty of other controlled opposition characters here at home. Yet they have struck again. The, Zuivensting, an Edurian vessel owned by the Achysians has been sunk. Naturally our hearts go out to these innocent victims of this tragedy. A tragedy that most clearly and definitely has been orchestrated by the Imperial Authority for Security and Information. A false flag attack that was meant to strike fear into the hearts of Azoran citizens and warrant the AC regime's to expand their powers to subvert liberty. And most importantly rally further anger and emotion towards our union of equals. Yet this nefarious plot has failed completely. These Achysian terrorists having spectacularly bumbled the operation and for the benefit of those survivors of this unwarranted terror attack. The hearts and minds of this author and all of Florencia are with those affected by this unspeakable act of treachory.

FREEDOM ALTERNATIVE PARTY

These avowed un-patriots and counter-revolutionaries seek the destruction of our way of life. Why their putrid party hasn't been banned yet and the ringleaders faced with the full force of a revolutionary tribunal is an enigma to every sensible citizen. Yet they remain. At long last Citizen Verica Novaković will soon pass a resolution to bring down scrutiny upon these treasonous stooges of Achysia. The latest reports of the shooting in Shinyang City reveal that they lack the funds to even maintain their party, so unpopular they have to turn towards such outlets as organized crime. And by this we mean criminals here in Florencia, not the Empire of Achysia. Though of course these are both synonyms that can be used interchangeably. Many have done their research and the evidence exists. We know and they have even admitted in many cases that this party has recieved funds from Achysia. And in turn use this to attempt to replicate the Achysian dream of doom and gloom here at home. This buffish party will not be able to last long. The citizenry doesn't support nor tolerate them. And the continued toleration of them by the government only creates an image of weakness.


THE FUTURE

One would know that the buffish Azoran Community in unity with their Renistic counterparts in Tarsis are united against the forces of revolution and republicanism. The forces of reaction keep their hooks on the pulse of a nation: social, political, and economic power. And as the reigns of power remain with these brigands the citizenry struggle under the boot of their class enemies. Or the revolutionary classes of a regressive regime suffer what some would argue to be a much worse fate in that they are ignorant of their own domination, so blinded by bread and circuses they no longer remember there is more to humanity than the bestial vices.

Yet one can observe the exact opposite within the sturdy folks of Onaway, Abayad, or the Aranist states. And of course our fair federation of social republican values. Governments of the people can mark these enlightened republics where the individual is free of despotism and able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. This is the duality of progress and regression. Of revolution and reaction. Of freedom and tyranny. Civilization and barbarism. Such values cannot live in harmony. The inevitable march of history and common self-determination of a nation would incline towards the eventual downfall of the tripartite evils of big capital, inbredic dynasty, and their parliamentarian shills. These robber barons, savage peerage, and crooked governors recognize this great predestined fact. Therefore they react. The time indeed will come when they are swept behind into the dustbin of yesteryear. Like the lame buffalo at the rear of the herd these counter-revolutionaries will falter and get left behind. And like this wounded, emaciated, buff tinged animal the reactionary will flail, howl, or stampede with all his might to prevent their ousting. Yet the noble wolves of republicanism will stain their azure pelts scarlet with the blood of all those who stand in the way of revolution.

Florencian Situationist Association Vows Rave War Against Achysia

Recently the All-Union Congress has seen to resolve itself to investigate the possible collusion of Achysia with domestic terrorists and the plainly aligned Azoraphile buff Alternative Party. This despite the Achysian foreign affairs office dismissing these claims as conspiracy theories fueled by ultrarevolutionary groups like RevPraxis. They've also expressed wishes to bring forth a defamation lawsuit against our colleagues at the more radical slanted Patriot!. And one can't forget the protests we've seen organized by a broad coalition of groups that includes Vayonist Fundamentalists, the Athnetavardair Party, Citizen Jareon's RevPraxis, and of course the Situationist Association of Florencia. Though while most groups are picketing or hurling insults back at embassy guards, the Situationists like to do things differently. Namely hosting flash mobs and defying public decency laws. Quite a few women and men were temporarily booked by Capital District Police for streaking towards the Achysian Embassy after painting their uncovered bodies.

Since their humble beginnings in the latter half of the 1550s as an avant-garde expression movement, the Situationists have dug themselves into the political scene like a dear tick. Their popularity and support waxing and waning but never fading. What moderates regard as a sort of hedonistic approach to social republicanism and the Popular Front views as incoherent ramblings from a decentralized group, their anarchist brand of free love and free expression has always been popular with the youth. Always the scene for counter cultural expression and anti-establishment rhetoric, they've capitalized on recent events in the most appropriate way they know how — party and get high. Or as the association's leader SUN QUEEN put it, "Revolt against the spectacle of the commodifiers and pretenders abroad in a most playful way".

Since the growth of the movement during the Decade of Indignity and it's explosion into Florencian politics following their proclamation of the Pirate Republic at the alcohol fueled riot that was Half Dime Beer Night, the SUN QUEEN has traditionally been the figurehead of most all Situationist chapters. The name deriving from an anonymous pseudonym that penned one of the movement's more coherent manifestos. And the SUN QUEEN official social media account on Yote (it's verified) has announced that all individuals who seek to enjoy life and create their own situations are free to attend a rave two weeks from now. As the mysterious character stated "the spectacle being espoused by loud mouths here at home and abroad is fear mongering. The only mongering business the individual ought be in is cheer."

The rave is slatted to be held in downtown Macer City, Federative Republic of Decatur in the Liberty Plaza. Macer city has been a bastion of Situationist activity and art experiments since the aborted Pirate Republic. A vociferous minority of urban district and city council delegates either hail from the radically artistic and free spirited party, express sympathy for it, or tolerate it. Microbreweries and dispensaries alike are most likely foaming at the mouth for the throngs of anarchists wanting to fully enjoy themselves.

Popular EDM and alternative artists like MacMelon, Run At Me, and Agreeable Grunt are slated in the line up along with a number of local or regional groups. Liberty Plaza has traditionally been used to host music venues or markets, though the last minute nature of rave was barely tolerated by the city citizens' council. RevPraxis ultrarevolutionaries have already declared the SUN QUEEN's Rave to be a wasteful and useless venture. It's response on social media was to declare Citizen Jareon "a wasteful and useless venture".

Alternative Party Leader Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

After organizing a counter-revolutionary political rally, an Alternative Party leader was arrested hours later by the GDI. Pudon Leasron, the deputy chair of the Alternative Party national committee, has been brought into GDI custody on multiple charges of sexual assault. According to the GDI Citizen Leasron is believed to have engaged in sexual conduct with "both unionized and non-unionized sex workers through coercion or physical force".

It's alleged that Pudon Leasron, who often travels the country as apart of his job with the Alternative Party, has possibly abused and assaulted up to six women in four different republics. Hence why the GDI has taken point in the investigation and brought the deputy chair into their custody.

Pudon Leasron has been the deputy chair of the Alternative Party for about three years. He served in the Republics' Navy where he received a general discharge after four years of service and for the last eight years has done clerical or staff work for the reactionary party until rising to the role of deputy chair. He maintains a house in Antecosta, Commonwealth of Evazhelinas, where he was arrested. Antecosta city public records show that his wife of six years has already filed for a divorce.

Footage captured at home by local journalists, private citizens and GDI statements detail that he was arrested without incident. The 38 year old faces multiple accounts of sexual assault, though it's expected federal prosecutors will attempt to try him for rape at a Revolutionary Tribunal. Chairman Reanon has placed his second in command Leasron on administrative leave and expressed in a statement that "Our party is profoundly shocked to hear the charges labeled against our deputy chair. This type of misconduct has never and will never be tolerated by our party." Though she went on to stress that "we must remember that all citizens are innocent until proven guilty, it is our sincere hope the legal system will do Citizen Leasron justice." Some high profile Alternative leaders and aligned news outlets have expressed belief that the charges labeled against Pudon Leasron are based on false reports by the victims or fabrications by the GDI to defame the party.

The Azure Garter Workers Union, which represents nearly sixty percent of all unionized sex workers in the Florencian Republics, including two of the alleged victims of Ciziten Leasron, has released new guidelines which bars it's members from conducting business with those apart of or with connections to the Alternative Party. These new regulations expressing that "[the] safety and health of our union members is put at bona fide risk when engaging in acts with avowed and violent counter-revolutionaries". The Azure Garters have encouraged their members to exercise their right to free speech by protesting Alternative Party political events. It's expected other sex unions will soon release similar statements.

First Councilor Ryuk T. Diwali Dies at Age 92

The Vayonist Fundamentalist High Council announced the passing of the First Councilor of the faith this morning. The statement released by the High Council detailed that "First Councilor Ryuk T Diwali died last night at 11:17 PM in the presence of loving family and friends. He died at 86 from causes indictive of old age."

First Councilor Diwali has served as the head of the Fundamentalist Faith since his election to the post in 1594. He leaves behind a legacy of dedicated service to citizenry, state, and faith that can be appreciated by all, regardless of religious vocation. But to more than 20 million Fundamentalists around the world and of course here at home the First Councilor served as a guiding example of compassion and ministry.

The First Councilor began his long vocation to Florencia as a tanker in the 3rd Armored Division where he served in the Tarsic Theater of Operations more than 65 years ago. In the War Against Zhenian Aggression his unit was involved in heavy fighting for the liberation of the revolutionary classes. His valor and heroism on the field of battle was rewarded with several awards, including the Order of Glory 2nd Class, which he was given in recognition of exemplary leadership as a tank commander. It would be during his service that the previously atheist Diwali converted to Fundamentalism and was "wrapped up in revolutionary fervor granted by providence" so says a fellow tanker he served with. First Councilor Diwali was drummed out of the Union Army as a Sergeant following the conclusion of the war.

Taking on the forces of reaction from a 26 ton steel killing machine was not the end of his dedication to the Florencian Republics. He returned to his hometown in Oreana in the Trans-Ohwyeen Republic, were he married his husband Tae In-Su, began administering the faith as a priest, and was delegated a seat of within the citizenry council. He was very active in the Young Pioneer Scouts, which he had originally joined at the behest of his adopted children. He would become a regional leader of the Young Pioneer organization in which he instilled the values of vocational service, dedication to the revolutionary classes, and love of the outdoors. To list all of Citizen Diwali's positions that he held in service to Motherland and faith would be as long as any great statesmen of the Florencian Republics. To name a few: city council delegate, city council chairman, republican council delegate, and ultimately the secretary of the Trans-Ohwyeen Department of Veterans Affairs. He would hold this spot for two terms until retiring to a full time job within the Fundamentalist Sacerdotal Council, where he was then elected to become a cardinal within the High Council. When the previous First Councilor, Tang Sung-Hyun passed away in 1594, High Councilor Diwali became the First Councilor and hierarch of the Vayonist Fundamentalist Faith.

His husband Tae In-Su passed away in 1601 from complications as a result of cancer and the Diwali-Su family is succeeded by their two sons and daughter, the latter having followed in her father's footsteps of military service and currently holds the rank of command sergeant major in the Union Army armored cavalry branch.

It is expected that the post of first councilor will remain vacant and a successor will not be chosen until after a traditional Vayonist burial. Typically this would involve the High Council electing the most senior or qualified peer to the post. However, as has happened twice in the history of the two hundred year old faith, should an individual be identified within the faith to be a clairvoyant communicating directly with The One, they can be voted into the high office to hold the duel positions of First Councilor and Oracle.

Chancellor Buso Adeler has authorized the All-Union and republican governments to raise flags at half mast in reembrace and respect of his civil service until the Fundamentalist's have chosen a new successor.

Three Florencian nationals and two Salians were caught days ago off of the sleepy coast of An Sliabh, one of the northernmost towns in the Cídeacht, northern Sáillsland, in a large gray and maroon yacht as they tried to smuggle 350 tons of cocaine into the country via the Island's sparsely inhabited north shore, to meet their co-conspirators on the shore of An Sliabh, Conchovar Bethu and Vaion map Turch, who were to take the drugs from the All five men have been accused of conspiracy to smuggle class A illegal drugs into Sáillsland, as well as money laundering. The Florencian nationals have been charged with illegal entry.

The Florencian nationals, Khâdon Iluosta, Busa Bara, and Șin Sô were spotted by local fishermen, who alerted the authorities immediately via their ship-to-shore radio, as they did not recognize the vessel. Authorities arrived swiftly to intercept the yacht, and a short altercation occurred on the vessel, and Coast Patrol responded as backup. One officer, Íadal mac Éithne, was wounded in the altercation but is expected to make a swift recovery.

Coast Patrol, along with customs and local law enforcers, recovered the tons of cocaine, estimated at a little over 400 million Orys, with little difficulty. This latest capture is yet another link in a chain of smuggling related crimes attributed to Florencian nationals. The accused do not appear to be taking any plea deal.

Salian Chief of Defense Dórú Cóvathíach spoke to the press earlier today in Scrá concerning recent demands by the Florencian government for her department to extradite recently apprehended drug offender Khâdon Iluosta (43) who was caught trafficking a massive amount of cocaine earlier this week in the town of An Sliabh, in the Cídeacht along with two fellow Florencian nationals. Iluosta has a prior history with smuggling drugs into Salia, this being the second time the drug dealer had been caught by Salian authorities. In 1601, Iluosta, a wanted criminal, had been arrested in Scrá for cocaine possession, breaking and entering, and aggravated assault. Sought after by the Florencian republic, Iluosta had been extradited to Florencia, where he served time but was released early on a technicality. Cóvathíach spoke on this fact during the release:

"The Union of Florencian Republics has shown time and time again that Salian lives mean nothing to them. This is the second time that [Iluosta] has been arrested for drug possession with intention to sell, and this has become... well, this has become more than an international matter. This is a question of justice. Florencia has demonstrated that it is not capable of holding its own citizens accountable to the law. Salian justice is very clear on this matter: transporting and smuggling this amount of drugs will not be tolerated here, and as Chief of Defense I will not be extraditing this thug to Florencia again. Florencian justice is clearly bankrupt."

When asked to comment about the current state of the prisoner, Cóvathíach stated that she had not met with him and that she would not in the future.

The prisoner will be held in government custody along with his compatriots to await his trial.

Kakhôrna Threatens Travel Ban​

Amidst the backdrop of heightened tensions between Florencia and the Azoran Community, with a congressional extraordinary committee having just passed a resolution yesterday to investigate Achysian links to terrorism, a new flashpoint has erupted. Salian authorities have recently apprehended three Florencian cities for alleged crimes of smuggling drugs into their country. Khâdon Iluosta, Busa Bara, and Șin Sô have been indicted with the Salish government claiming they intended to smuggle close to 350 tons of cocaine. Extradition treaties with the Confederated Salian government will result in the transfer of Busa Bara and Șin Sô to the Contraband Enforcement Agency (CEA) so that they may be tried in Florencia. Yet Chief of Defense Dórú Cóvathíach has declared Salia will not honor the transfer of Khâdon Iluosta in which she gratuitously claimed "Florencian justice is bankrupt". Suppoesdly this is not his first time getting caught smuggling illegal drugs into Salia.

Regardless such inflammatory statements would go to only further stoke tensions between the Florencian Republics and Azora. Several congressional deputies took to the social media platform Yote to decry the actions of the Salian leader. Verica Novaković, who is currently spearheading the investigation into Achysian terror collusion unabashedly declared that "Our justice is revolutionary justice. Salian justice is only for those with a big enough checkbook." Many are calling on the Salian government and Dórú Cóvathíach in particular to apologize for her statements and most of all extradite Iluosta.

But Florencian leaders have more cards to play then throwing statements out into the echo chamber of social media. This morning Kakhôrn spokeswoman Taeva Qorinisi stated that the Chancellor is considering a travel ban against Confederated Salia. During the news conference press secretary Qorinisi revealed that "The safety, health, and justice of all Florencians is the primary concern of the Chancellor. A revolutionary citizen being tried by a reactionary court isn't justice and Chancellor Adeler is prepared to institute a bilateral travel ban to provision for the safety of all citizens." If this travel ban were to take effect the Foreign Affairs Department will be forced to bar all non-government or state business related travel to Salia. Likewise normal Salian citizens will be prevented from entering the Florencian Republics. Should Khâdon Iluosta be released into CEA custody to stand trial at an all-union court, the Kakhôrn will take the travel ban threat off the table. Press secretary ended the news conference by saying "The Chancellor sincerely hopes that we can correct this disagreement with our brothers and sisters in the Salian Confederated Republics so that proper justice can be administered."

Risto Tomić lit his cigarette and aimlessly flipped through various stations before settling on a Lyudic language channel. It was alternative rock and not particularly his style, but at least he could understand what this band was singing about. Ever since he left the old country and landed in New Sarkara he'd been trying to attend his Elyrian language classes, but he didn't particularly care for them. Being a dock worker provided a steady pay and his side hustle brought in enough dollars he could blow on women and booze. He glanced down at his watch as the radio began to drabble on about the Achysian collusion hearings. The twins were taking longer than usual and the radio was boring him to death. He wasn't a revolutionary so it didn't concern him, though the media made it sound like the feds are planning on dropping the nation's razor atop the necks of whatever the alternative party was. The reporter was wrapping up the late night news recap while Tomić boredly flicked buds out his window when a single muffled gunshot rang out from the nearby apartment block. That was apparently his que. Shutting the radio off and shifting the car into drive he could just barely make out the footfalls of his superiors as they jogged through the puddle ridden sidewalk. The two masked men abruptly hopping into the back was all the command Tomić needed to begin their getaway.

The Rakočević twins de-masked themselves and began to discuss where they should grab a bite to eat as their driver took the car onto the backstreets to avoid both suspicion and the cops.

"Mio" Rakočević tapped Tomić on the shoulder before cryptically commanding, "Hey kid, don't worry about dodging and weaving, NSPD ain't responding to a murder on this block."

Tomić was still an associate so he didn't get filled in on the details nor did he ask questions. With a shrug he turned onto a street that'd take them on the path of least resistance to get milkshakes. Though he was pretty damn sure that what the Rakočević twins had done was not just a simple collections run.

Deputy Head of Buffist Group Commits Suicide

New Sarkara PD responded to a credible suicide threat from a 101 call last night on the south end of town from one Lâdean Brilska, a known buffist adherent. Upon arriving at the apartment block tenants directed law enforcement and social workers to his flat and reported that they had heard a single gunshot. Lâdean Brilska was found dead from a gunshot to the temple in an apparent suicide from his registered handgun. Preliminary reports of Citizen Brilska's death revealed possible foul play, with bruising to the extremities consistent with a struggle. But further investigation and the toxicology reports revealed that Brilska had a number of depressant chemicals in his system including opioids and had ingested a large amount of alcohol, meaning these bruises were likely accidental and self inflicted. The case has therefore been ruled as a suicide.

Lâdean Brilska was a member of the buff aligned True Republican Front which has been described by the Free Florencian Law Group, which provides information regarding reactionary organizations to law enforcement, as "antigovernmental counter-revolutionary". The True Republicans are unofficially aligned with the Freedom Alternative Party in addition to banned or virtually none-existent extremist reactionary parties. Citzen Brilska was the deputy head of the organization in the eastern republics and responsible for administrative tasks within the front as well overseeing training for the Front's militia apparatus. He described himself and the True Republican Front as a "patriotic watchdog and social republican skeptic". Social media posts from Brilska reveled that he had gotten into a feud with Citizen Jareon in which he had declared he had gotten ahold of proof of various government conspiracies espoused by buffist reactionaries.

Brilska's estranged family members have revealed that he suffered from alcoholism and public documents show that he received a general discharge from the Union Army after seven years of service for both substance abuse and "not adhering to the values and standards becoming of a solider and revolutionary". Brilska did have a restraining order filed against him by an ex-boyfriend for stalking and harassment.

The leader of the True Republican Front and avowed supporter of the Freedom Alternative Party, Citizen Jareal is expected to be subpoenaed or asked by the Extraordinary Committee on Counter-Revolutionary Activities to attend a hearing and discuss possible links between her organization and the Dekatur Light Foot, which has been designated as a domestic terror group after First Secretary Kontic issued an executive order.

Following threats earlier this week from Florencian officials in the Kakhôrna to ban Salian citizens from traveling to and from Florencia, Chief of Foreign Affairs Dórú i Cóvathíach held another press conference to reveal the government's plans concerning the latest threats concerning the extraditing of drug offender and Florencian national Khâdon Iluosta, who was apprehended this month with close to 400 tons of cocaine in his possession.

"I would like, first of all, to assure the public that business will continue as usual," the Chief of Foreign Affairs stated earlier today, "threats such as this are words and nothing more. There will not be any ban of entry to Salian citizens into the country of Florencia. We don't scare easily. There is no historical precedent to warrant such threats, let alone to honor them." Cóvathíach spoke specifically about her department's plans to deal with Florencian threats: "We will not back down," the chief said. "Salian lives are lost every day to drugs traced back to Florencia. I am not in the position to pay Salian lives to fulfil the whims of a foreign power. [Iluosta] was extradited once, and came back to the shores of Salia with a crew and cargo. We must protect Salian lives first and foremost."

When asked by The Federated Press if she would comment on the request by the Kakhôrna to retract her statements condemning the Florencian justice system, the Chief of Foreign Affairs stated that she would not.

”And it all started as a joke me and my friends used to have”, a comment by Tedmuk Porgta, CEO of Betade, relating to the recent developments of one of the most popular celebrations on the summer calendar of Katamur. The Mini Salia Infiltration Celebration, commonly known online as MiSIC, successfully sold all tickets to the event in under 8 hours, more than halving the previous record of 24 hours in the 1609 presale. “We truly have underestimated the sheer enthusiasm for this event!”, Tedmuk Porgta, the main organizer of the event has voiced his surprise and promises for the outcomes of what is turning out to be the biggest MiSIC yet. “We promise for certain that the lineup will be incredible! We got stars from all around the world coming to our little slice of Salia and having the night of our lives!”. The popular Katamur-Kilalurak band Moyi has already been confirmed to be going to the event, with rumors of the Abayadi group Wa-Ha also possibly making an appearance. It has been confirmed as well that some Zhenian and Azoran stars are expected to come, those of which remain unnamed for the moment being.

MiSIC is very often regarded as one of the most controversial celebrations due to it’s well known abuse of Nzekberdu Island’s dubious state of national ownership, which places it into legal ownership under Salia instead of Katamur. Many have used this oversight in the past to perform legally questionable activities outside of legal jurisdiction of Katamur law enforcement. MiSIC is one of the most well known of these questionable acts, where copious amounts of illegal substance is shared and ingested by the party goers far from the arms of Katamuran police. “It’s a balancing act of course”, commented Tedmuk. “The point is to do something we’re normally not allowed to do. Then, come Monday morning, we go back to our lives like nothing happened. We’re making new life experiences, not ending them”. Tedmuk’s company that manages the event, Betada, has placed impressive effort in the healthcare of those who arrive and have only increased the efforts since. This hasn’t stopped many concerned individuals who disapprove of the event by voicing their frustration at the event. “It’s not right”, says a concerned viewer from last year's event “it’s not good for them to be taking that kind of stuff. That island should be placed back under us and have all them, who are practically kids some of them, properly prosecuted!”. The government continues to remain silent on the issue, putting more attention to events within the north eastern autonomous regions and it's recent developments.

MiSIC 1610 is set to start on the 12th of December and go on till the 14th. Tedmuk has already confirmed the inclusion of more tickets that will be released in the coming month.

After expending the rest of the magazine downrange the Chancellor of the Florencian Republics cleared his rifle before grinning at his subordinate.

"How'd I do Mak, do I still got it?"

The Chancellor's chief national security adviser Jaksa Makamara gave a bored glance towards the targets the Chancellor had been gunning for. The bookish Lyude never particularly cared for firearms and he felt the Chancellor purposely moved this morning's briefing to the Kakhôrna's indoor shooting range just to spite him. A quick cursory glance at the paper target revealed a grouping of five holes neatly clustered in a near quarter diameter. But Makamara didn't want to drag this conversation on any longer than it needed to, nor inflate the Chancellor's gun slinging ego.

"Fine shooting Citizen Chancellor. If I might ask have we made a decision on the travel ban?"

Adeler pretended not to hear his adviser as he passed the new, well almost new rifle off to one of his security detail. The Koshtelanev Collective's KSG-16 had finally passed it's testing and teething stage. Two weeks ago General Headquarters Army began to issue the KSG-16 to elite and high readiness units. Foreign export orders were expected to follow for the Koshtelanev Collective. Being a former Army man himself the Chancellor reckoned he'd give a test run of the the new rifle to see if it was a marked improvement over the KSG-13A2 he had trained with.

Lighting himself a cigar the Chancellor nodded towards his target, "That's a fancy rifle there Mak. Sturdy, cheap, but new. The boys will love it don't ya say?"

The security adviser simply went along with the Chancellor as the old soldier lectured about his time in the service. Once again, Makamara felt the Chancellor was purposely trying to wind him up with this long winded army reminiscence. Makamara had been in the Navy, and intelligece at that. He wasn't a cigar chomping grunt like the Chancellor had been. Stopping Adeler mid sentence the policy adviser would once again press his question.

Taking a thoughtful puff of his Abayadi cigar the Chancellor made the call. "Let's prove that Miss Cóvathíach wrong, shall we?" With that the security adviser excused himself to inform the press secretary about Florencia's latest foreign policy decision. And it was the right call, Citizen Makamara was confident the Salians would be making a fool of themselves now.

SALIAN TRAVEL BAN TO TAKE EFFECT IN TEN DAYS!​

The Office of the Chancellery has announced that a travel ban to the Salian Confederacy will be enacted in ten days, baring all non-essential government or business related travel between both nations. Chief of Foreign Affairs Dórú i Cóvathíach, who made such inflammatory claims like "Florencian justice is bankrupt" had stated to the public that "business will continue as usual" and that there would in fact "not be any ban of entry". The announcement by the Chancellor this morning proves such sentiments from the Salian leader to have been a lie.

The Kakhôrna press secretary, in speaking for Chancellor Adeler, expressed his reasoning for this nascent travel ban to be "a necessary precaution for the safety of the Florencian people" . It is the belief of the Chancellery that the Salian government cannot effectively protect nor fairly treat Florencians visiting their country, as a result of the confederate government refusing to extradite Citizen Khâdon Iluosta, who was arrested on charges related to illegal drug possession. The other two Florencians arrested by the Salian government have been returned to Contraband Enforcement Agency custody.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has released guidelines for all Florencians currently residing or visiting Salia to follow should they wish to return or move elsewhere. While this travel ban primarily aversely effects individuals visiting both countries, a particular hard hit demographic will be transfer students. There was no promise from the Foreign Affairs Department on when this ban may end, as the Kakhôrna press secretary declared "The Chancellor will see to the enforcement of this travel ban until the Salian government can affirm that Florencian citizens will be justly treated and protected." This puts university attending students in a precarious position that may either cut their abroad schooling short, or cause a host of legal or personal issues. Department guidelines has authorized public university's to recall all students and cease funding for abroad trips to Salia. The same is extended to Salians studying inside Florencia, who have the option to begin the process of leaving Florencia or choose to apply for either a visa or citizenship.

Abayad’s IRP retains control of chancellorship and government sweeping electoral victories

Abayad’s ruling party managed to retain control of its government with the help of charismatic candidates and unlikely alliances ​

Aman Dib won Abayad’s election last night for Chancellor with 56.7% of the vote, according to a full preliminary tally from the National Election Committee, while the IRP under Prime Minister Layla Qadir under a much narrower margin due to an unlikely alliance with the Abayadi Social Republican Party.

The victory, which requires confirmation by the nation’s Constitutional Court, gives the IRP guiding control of the nation’s foreign affairs organs for another six years, although in the previous Salid chancellorship, efforts were made to appoint members from all ends of the spectrum. However, Dib’s more sectarian talking points during the election suggest that other parties, especially ones outside of Abayad’s legislative coalition, may be left out in the cold.

Meanwhile, perhaps the more surprising victory took place in Abayad’s legislative elections. As promised by Party for National Understand (PNU) leader Mia Sharif, PNU deputies broke with their old coalition with the IRP after Dib was confirmed as the party’s officially endorsed candidate. This reversal eliminated the IRP’s majority, and caused many to predict a contentious and messy series of elections. Although they were largely correct, a dark horse emerged from the shadows to help the IRP secure its majority once more: the Abayadi Social Republican Party.

The Abayadi Social Republican Party (ASRP) has played a minor role for virtually all of its history, since its founding in 1495 AC. From its founding to the 1570s, it generally formed coalitions with the IRP, either in majorities or minorities. However, as a result of the IRP’s strategy of becoming more moderate to appeal to centrist voters, the ASRP declined to form any coalition with it afterward, instead sitting as a separate section of opposition than the RDP. However, after a resurgence in the party’s popularity following a decline in membership for smaller parties such as the Party for Abayadi Renewal and he Abayadi Mutualist Laborer’s Party, the ASRP was able to pick up enough key seats to bridge the gap and form a majority with the IRP coalition.

ASRP leader Maher Shakur said in a press conference announcing the party’s joining with the coalition, “the Abayadi people have spoken, and they want a government that truly cares for the people’s interests at the helm. Prime Minister Qadir has led us through sixteen years of stable and sensible government, and I see no need why that will end. The Abayadi Social Republican Party will see the interests of the people respected in this coalition!”

The Abayadi city of Aljira was largely calm on Friday as IRP supporters wearing black scarves celebrated in the streets. Upwards of 85% of the city is believed to have voted in the elections, compared to the 74.7% national average. Expectedly, Prime Minister Qadir won reelection in her home seat there easily, from where she delivered her victory speech:

“It is my pleasure to address my constituents personally and to announce to them first that the Institutional Revolutionary Party will be forming another majority government after yesterday’s round of elections! The tasks remaining before us are tremendous, and will require tremendous exertion from every citizen of our republic to succeed! They will require debate, they will require mediation, they require referenda in various regions across our nation. This is where you, the people, are needed! It is thus my special honor to announce our twin victories!”

It is unclear how these victories will affect Abayad in moving it onto a different course, if at all. Dib is considered by many one of the old-guard Hamalists of the IRP, meaning that he will likely pursue closer relations with Florencia and other aligned nations. However, despite speculation from his electoral foes, Dib is considered to be unlikely to request withdrawal from the South Tarsis Organization by the National Assembly, given how much a boon membership is to Abayad’s economy.

And she was their Oracle and First Councilor, the conduit of The One and first among her pious equals. It was too much for the 34 year old farm hand from rural Onaway to wrap her head around.

Her deputy, an aging and graying old elder like those on the High Council repeated his question. "Oracle are you ready?"

Wawestseka Kee was brought out of her portrait sight seeing, directing her gaze to the wispy bearded faithful and quietly asking, "Why me?"

"I'd say we were correct in following the will of the Gods." High Councilor Damian said with a soft smile. "The faithful haven't had an oracle in sixty years. The Great Prophet, may he rest in paradise, was correct in affirming that only the blessed meek and humble retain clairvoyance."

The most powerful woman of the Fundamentalist Faith shook her head, "That doesn't answer my question Councilor Damian."

"For many years now our faith has been in need of new blood. A new vision. The Grand Architect has seen fit to deliver us with a new Oracle. You are as foretold. Your acts of charity and compassion for your fellow man need no explanation. Your love exceeds the bonds for just the faithful, to all of our fellow brothers and sisters. And lastly you are proven to intercede with The Supreme Good. The guiding hand of the Gods and that which is most indiscernible flows through you. I need no more elaboration Oracle."

She sighs, resigned to her fate as is the Gods will. Walking towards the murals lining the wall she calls upon the will and knowledge of the divine to grant her the strength and spirit to follow their material commands. With that and a slight bit more growing confidence she smooths out the creases in her jacket. A simple, cheap, and perhaps a size too big suit was what she donned. In the spirit of those great religious and political leaders before her. The Fundamentalist Faith need no concern for splendorous displays of wealth and power from it's believers. Glory is beholden to the Gods and not man. And the people of the New World know this. After all that is why the glory of the Gods shines upon Florencia and Onaway, while the masses of Holy Elyria are kept in bondage by their false idols and capital worshipers. The fraternal spirit of the Veharian peoples broke the chains of imperialism and colonialism. Yet the ugly head of the underworld rears it's face from the palaces of Achysia or the parliamentary halls of Salia. Whole nations like Andemyr have devoted themselves to the destruction of their own culture and subservience to wealth. But the New World is different. Her humble beginnings and the unattractive suit she dons now is evidence of that. Perhaps that is why That Which is Good has brought her to the Divine Temple. To usher in a new beginning for Veharia and to free the bondage of masses in Azora by shinning the radiant light of the Grand Architect upon them.

Fundamentalist Faith to Have New Hierarch and Oracle

After more than 40 days of soul searching the Vayonist Fundamentalist Faith has announced the ascension of a new First Councilor to be the leader of the more than twenty million faithful in Northern Veharia and abroad. In a televised address to believers from the holy capital of the Fundamentalists in Alas City, the High Council of the faith presented a young Wawestseka Kee as the First Councilor and Oracle. She represents a confluence of many momentous occasions for Fundamentalists. Oracle Kee is one of the youngest heads of the faith, second only to the founder Prohpet Tortellos. She will be the first female First Councilor in more than eighty years, and the third Oracle in the religion's two hundred year history. Moreover she is the first Oracle-First Councilor to be of Onawayan ethnicity. In the televised address, and open announcement released to the press Oracle Kee asked for the hearts and prayers of fellow believers to aid the guiding hand of their gods and supreme deity to "intercede on her behalf to grant her the strength to impart the will of the Grand Architect".

Spontaneous expressions of jubilation and celebration were carried out in majority Fundamentalist cities and towns once news broke of Oracle Kee's rise to the highest seat of the faith. For many believers Wawestseka Kee becoming First Councilor and Oracle is no coincidence. Be it a purposeful decision by the High Council, or the will of their gods, Oracle Kee represents a revitalization of the faith and an attempt to lend a younger face to the monolith that is the Divine Temple in Alas City. For years now the hierarchy of the faith has been increasingly criticized for being out of touch with the younger generations and as the faith continues to spread in countries outside of Florencia the Florencian majority of the High Council has yet to change. Oracle and First Councilor Kee represents not only a change in course for the faith, but a change in demographic to represent the new international spread of the religion.

Wawestseka Kee's mother was a Vayonist Fundamentalist and her father a Nizhwaachewin. After an autocarriage accident that claimed the lives of her parents when she was 17, Kee claims to have then begun to experience visions of the Fundamentalist supreme deity. From there she began to grow a small parish in the Chiefdom of Nodawa. The High Council claims she continued to be a clairvoyant with the gods and demonstrate capabilities of performing miracles at her parish. This also without the additive influence of psychedelic drugs or LSD, which are commonly used to aid Fundamentalists in communicating with the "other side". Her supposed interactions with the One without the need of drugs is claimed by the High Council to be further proof of her clairvoyance.

Regardless of a secular scrutiny on Wawestseka Kee's capabilities, the infectious joy and celebration of the Fundamentalist faithful is a sight to behold. Since before the Revolution, Fundamentalists have proven themselves to be champions of progress and the principles of social republicanism. And Wawestseka Kee becoming the new head of the faith shows that the faith is once again revitalizing itself for a new age.

Salian Chief of Public Báidhín Ó Chonchobhair along with Dórú Cóvathíach called a press conference earlier this week to mitigate some worries of the travel ban enacted by the Social Republican government of Florencia. The travel ban, which was enacted to put pressure on Salian enforcement agencies in order to force the extradition of repeat drug offender Iluosta to Florencia took affect recently, forcing students from both countries to swiftly take flight to their home countries or risk being trapped by Florencia's international political machinations.

Ó Chonchobhair looked grave as he took the podium; "I understand that many of you are afraid," the Chief of Coin said. "And we cannot forget our students overseas, many of whom were not able to return home before the beginning of the travel ban... The National Acadamy of Salia will take in all Florencian exchange students and do its best to acommadate their studies during this trying time."

Ó Chonchobhair appeared to echo similar statements made by Chief Dórú Cóvathíach earlier in the month, as she said: "... We must not forget our students... an enemy of Salian students is an enemy of us all. We must also not forget that Florencia is holding her own people hostage, and for what? A drug lord caught in a ragged boat off the coast? Does Florencia truly value international peace and its own students less than one man?"

Chief Cóvathíach also affirmed that Iluosta would be taken care of, not harmed, exposed to justice, and tried under Salian law."

"We stand united on this issue," Ó Chonchobhair said to The Western Times. "Chief Cóvathíach and I will consider harsher retaliation if this foolish game is not abated soon." When asked to comment on plans for the future concerning the travel ban, Chief Ó Chonchovhair stated that this information is forthcoming.

Salian national Llyddu map Drewyth was arrested today in Bukit Singa, Ayeran, in his hotel room earlier this morning. Ayerani officials released that he was captured following an anonymous tip from hotel staff. Map Drewyth had three suitcases filled with amphetamines and oxycontin.


It is believed that he was connected to the recent Katamuran rave party, popularly known as MiSIC (Mini Salia Infiltration Celebration) characterized by massive drug usage taking place on the internationally disputed island, Nzekberdu. Bukit Singa Chief of Police Sukawati Wundur told the Federated Press:


"We do believe that the perpetrator was connected with drug rings in Katamur, drug rings which have been on our radar for much time... The perpetrator will be tried and more information will be discovered about his recent dealings, involving where he acquired the (drugs) and who his contacts are."

Map Drewyth has been wanted internationally for 4 years ever since his name was mentioned connection with drug crimes in southern Dihara.


In the wake of recent Salian/Florencian travel ban caused by controversy surrounding drug dealers, this capture takes special international significance.

Destruction Befalls Our Great Social Republican Motherland​

Fellow Citizens and Patriots! The Reaper has sown the whirlwinds of death and our fraternal union of republics, bounded together in brotherhood and liberty has finally bitten the bullet. Centuries of revolutionary struggle has brought the great citizenry of Florencia to their breaking point under the dark talons of oppression from the Ichorian Dragon.

With horrified expressions we have witnessed the wholesale destruction of the Salian Republican Confederation. Despite their government's subversive measures of oppression that included such far fetched and farcical ideas like putting chemicals into the war that turned the frogs gay, the Salian did not deserve the fate that befall them. To say nothing of the immense cultural contribution from the Salian Republics to the benefit of greater humanity. Indeed it is even theorized that a single Salian man invented the entirety of the Elyrian spoken tongue. Or perhaps crafted it on leisure time when not conducting himself like the chronic drunk so stereotypical of his stock. And with disgust and contempt we observed the systematic and racist extermination of Soletta in it's entirety. A young nation of kind souls that was needlessly targeted and unapologetically immolated from the pages of history.

And indeed we have yet to see the true fate to befall our progressive revolutionary comrades in Abayad. With bated breath, one most hope that the torch of Hamal may be carried onwards, burning brighter than ever into an unsure future. And let us not forgot the Achysians, despite their inclination towards despotism this decrepit autocracy acted in the best interests of all international citizens. A den of snakes it may be, yet communication out of their Empire has been sparse. What comes next for these countries one can only conjecture. It ought be the hope of all freedom loving persons that these countries may rise out of the darkness the globe has succumbed to.

Yet now we come to Florencia. The Great Social Republican Experiment. Kensios's Commonwealth of Toil was truly incepted all those years ago through revolutionary patriotic struggle. The destruction and destitution that now racks our Motherland will never undo the memory and ideals our peoples fought so hard to preserve. So ensnared in paranoia and blinded by their own depravity these dark forces seek to purge the entire globe of free expression. And now as the flames subside, the Ichorian Dragon looks on as it's lackeys desecrate and violate Mother Florencia like rapturous vultures. The brave men and women of our military, indeed the most advanced, best equipped, and developed in the world could not stop the onslaught. And now the nations of the world whose hearts have hardened and cultures have stagnated clutch, rip, and tear at the Florencian Republics.

And as the Reaper knocks on our door and beckons us forth to the great beyond we must not forget. All patriots and citizens of Florencia must hold their heads high. This Union of free republics was crafted from the blood and sweat of hard working men and women. Indeed the same could be said of the greater world. Plague and pestilence has been ushered in by the Dragon, who rests upon a throne perched high above and judges a great community of nations, yet the vibrant memory of liberty shall be carried forth by all whose hearts still yearn for a better tomorrow.

This will not be the end of Florencia. Nor of the liberty espousing ideals of Social Republicanism. Like a Phoenix we shall rise out of the ash and flames to bring about this better tomorrow. Like the Lion of our expansive tundra, the revolutionary classes shall stalk and conceal themselves from their query until the opportunity arrives to deliver a deathblow to the forces of reaction.

Hark the sound of free men and women's voices. For they shall be heard above the rabble and drabble espoused by the Dragon and it's uncommitted and obscure henchmen. Today may mark the death of language. Of creativity and perhaps naivety. Of our armed compatriots in the revolutionary military establishment who resisted with all their might. Yet out of death births life. For as long as the ideals we hold so dear and close to our hearts remain, then free men and women may go forth and forge a better path in the future.

Citizens and Patriots! Be proud of our commitments. Be proud of the great bonds forged that dot this entire globe. Be proud of our hard work! Indeed this may be the conclusion for our great cooperative regime of peace and love, yet history is not yet complete. One day perhaps, we shall return.

May the Revolution live on.
