Edit: The thread is now up! The Zelrian War
[border]We never knew this would happen. Some of us suspected it, we had even met some other alien races where combat was a part of their culture, but... These things, they're- War is all they know. It's not just part of their culture, their society. It's everything they are. That alone, we would've been able to deal with, but the reason we'd been able to pacify the previous races was because we already had superior technology to theirs.
These guys - The Zelrians, I believe they called themselves. A race of lizard people - they were much more advanced than the previous ones. For once, we were the ones that had to adapt our technology to survive. Negotiation wasn't an option like we gave the others. They attacked first, swiftly and without mercy. And they have not stopped, to this very day.
Was there anything we could have done to prevent this interstellar war? Maybe. Even if there was the slightest of chances, it has long since passed. The only thing we can do now is fight.[/border]
Hey, guys ( )
So, I tried this idea a while back, to try out a dice mechanic I thought was going to be fun. That... Didn't really turn out well xD So I'm gonna reboot the thing, without the dice, and just do a regular group RP.
The idea is, you guys are playing as the crewmen/soldiers on a military starship called the Starcutter. I'll be playing as key crew members such as the captain, but for the most part the crew is completely free.
I have a fairly basic plot planned out, but this RP will mostly be character-driven. The roleplay will revolve around the crew members and their interactions with each other, as well as the conflicts that will happen between the Starcutter and the various hostile forces it will encounter. Whether that be the Zelrians, another race that the current government has a hard time controlling, or a specific group of people with a vendetta against one of the crew members. That will be largely up to you guys, though I'll be participating as well of course ( )
What do you guys think?
