Greenberg, Massachusets is a city on the verge of chaos. This crime-ridden metropolis, located in the center of the state is in the middle of the biggest crime-wave it has ever seen. The primary source of this recent spat of crime seems to be the city's many gangs, who have always been a problem in the past but they seem to have become more and more brazen in recent months. As the police struggle to crack down on the crime affecting Greenberg, a serious of mysterious disappearances have started happening around the city. You are a resident of Greenberg that is drawn into the investigation of a missing college student named Horace Grayson, who was last seen leaving a library clutching a book that he took without checking out.
Eventually, this investigation leads you to the horrific discovery that monsters from an alternate universe called Samsa are starting to leak into our world and even more horrifying, the two worlds are starting to merge together, combining Greenberg with the city-state of Angelicos.
Meanwhile in Samsa, a group of divenly appointed heros were struggling against the evil Shadow Empire and were about to confront it's shadowy and quite mysterious Emperor when his Majordomo, who was hiding with his liege behind a legion of Shadow Empire soldiers, managed to cast a powerful spell, causing the merge for an unknow purpose. Now, it is up to these two groups to find away to reverse this merge and defeat The Shadow Empire once and for all.
