The Vampire Carnival

(hoozah!)


ardetha smiled at him, "im eager to see another piece of your wonderful work". as they approached the swamp she sighed with relief getting tired of caring the body as its scented changed to something horrid with the blood pumping through its body. "lets try and get this done shall we?" she hefted the body and tossed it into the swamp making sure to avoid its splash, she watched as the body sank slowly and was soon out of sight. she stretched finally free of its weight.
 
He slightly blushed as she once again complimented his work, though that made him wonder where Science was. He usually didn't come with him when they fed so more than luckily he was waiting for him back on the Carnival. He turned to her with a nod as he watched her toss the body into the swamp and soon followed, tossing the lifeless body into the swamp watching it land into it with a huge splash he slightly backed away. "Shall we get back to the Carnival?" He asked her with a smile
 
ardetha turned to him, "yes we should and maybe this time we can enjoy our walk back without holding lifeless bodies?" she giggled then sighed looking up at the bright pale moon. "i surely will never get enough of this.."

He smiled at her and chuckled a bit at her joke "Yes I suppose but on the bright side we got a good exercise. My muscles are impressive are they not?" He said in a joking manner as he did a stretching pose before he gave a chuckle and looked up at the moon "The moon is rather shining beautify" he said as he continued to stare up at it
 
ardetha blushed as she looked at him, "w-well you are quite handsome skillx". she always did think he was handsome, in fact he was the only person she had ever thought that of and it was nice to let him know instead of being shy about it like she always was. "i hope you dont think me to straight forward", her face was still flushed and she smiled shyly stroking her long hair with her hands.
 
His eyes widened at her comment, he thought of him as handsome? He didn't think of himself as much especially with the scars on his face which part of him was proud of since they were a result of his hard work on his inventions. He took a breath and he looked over at her "I would never think of you as anything but a very kind loving woman Ardetha, did I not say something similar when we first met?" He questioned her remembering back to that day with a smile, he remembered being rather shy when he first saw her and even more so when he tried to speak to her. But after a while being around her, he had gotten less shy and even improved his social skills. He smiled up at her as she played with her hair and tilted his head "Forgive me but are you feeling comfortably nervous right now?" He questioned innocently

she looked down and smiled with a light laugh, "yes yes i do remember, you were so shy that i was afraid you would never be able to speak to me" looking back she remembers it well, she was dirty and hungry when she came to the carnival. she met skillx not to long after and he was always fumbling over words, she thought it was cute and his shyness made it easier for her to be able to speak to him. coming back to the present she blushed once more at his words, was she nervous? shes been around skillx for a long time now so how could she be nervous? "i-im not quite sure..i guess im not used to opening up my feelings..you have always been handsome in my eyes ive just never had the courage to tell you i guess."
 
He smiled and chuckled a bit, yes he was rather shy and he stuttered through every word when he talked to her. However throughout the many years they've been together they developed a rather close friendship which Skillx was very happy over and stared at her with a red face as she complimented him once again "T-Thank you" he shyly said as he bit his lip "I admit your courage, you show it everyday" He said as he approached her slowly "I could never stand in front of others and sing, I have a terrible singing voice" He said with a small chuckle
 
ardetha shrugged, "what can i say? i love singing it was what once helped me through life and to see people close their eyes and enjoy what they are listening to..its just..it makes me happy. even those days where i was trapped in the dark and you had to help pull me out singing was always a good rebound." thinking about those days made her shiver and hold herself, she was tired of that darkness.
 
He let his eyes widen and slightly blushed as she explained why she loved singing and how he helped her when she went through a tough time before he cleared his throat "W-Well I couldn't just stand there and let you continue to be sad, I love your smile and your laugh as well. I admit I would do just about anything to cheer you up, you are one of my dearest friends" He said as he gave her a smile and offered her his arm "Shall we continue this conversation whilst walking?"
 
she blushed and smiled as she took his arm in her hand, "as you were my first friend here, and well..your really still my only friend here i never have opened up as much with anyone else as i have with you and well..." she bit her lip nervously afraid of what might happen when she says this. "i think you can be the first person i can tell why i get so dark and sad those days. unless you dont want to its ok if you do not." she blushed deeper looking from his face down to the forest floor as they walked down the leaf strewn path.
 
Kroenen was quite busy this night, it seemed the humans were more rambunctious then normal. He would walk with a military stature his hands behind his back, and his back straightened. Walking on the back stands he merly paced watching the actions of the crowd. Kroenen listened closely to the singing preformance's, it was personally his favorite part, one cause it made his job enjoyable, two it was soothing to the ears, and three it made the crowd quiet down and calm themselves making his job easier. Kroenen walked out of the tent over to a smaller one, he entered it and it had a desk with a lantern atop of it and some papers. A rickety old chair was behind it, he sat in it as he leaned back starring at the ceiling of the tent. Listening to the paced breathing of his, he then began to think for the moment being.


For the continuing of the night guards came in reporting there...well reports on kicking humans out or some rowdy ones on the outskirts. The last report was that some of the members of the carnival attacked humans for blood. This was his least favorite part because he wished why dont they just have a guard nearby just in case? The guard said he merly got sent away, This made Kroenen stand and leave the tent. Not in a furious manner but a bit of a worried one. He walked to the last known area with his military stance, his hands clasped together behind his back. He examined the ground following a small blood trail, He eventually saw in the distance the two "members" and began to walk towards them. A relief in the back of his mind, he walked to them his breathing could be heard from a distance and if you was to look over you could see he had no issue walking in the swamp.


Approaching them his Trench coat was open showing another Leather coat and two bladed batons. He would give a polite and settle nod to the two as he moves his right hand from his back motioning gently towards the carnival. Basically saying that he wishes to be a escort for them, since he cannot speak, he keeps his head bowed waiting on a response.

He smiled as he felt her hands wrap around his arm and began a slow pace down the pathway "I am glad that you find such comfort in me" He said blushing a bit as he turned to her and noticed her blushing though he didn't quite know why. He was about to speak when he saw a person in the distance, as they got closer he realized it was merely one of the guards, though he knew he did not speak Skillx wasn't one to skip on his manners "Hello sir" He said as he gave a slight bow understanding his actions as he turned to Ardetha "He wished to escort us back" He turned to the man nodded his head in a way to approve of what he wanted to do

ardetha could hear the man before she could see him and she smiled warmly at the guard, "thank you kroenen for the escort." she decided to hold what she was going to say for later to embarrassed to say what she was going to in front of the guard. "maybe we could speak more back at the tent?" 
(get to sleep sir! creative minds need there rest for more rp!)

He smiled as Ardetha gave her thanks to the guard and they continued on their walk as he turned to face her once more "Of course we can continue this conversation in the tent" He told her with a smile as he breathed in the fresh air. He simply loved nights like this, though he felt slightly guilty not thinking that the other fellow vampires didn't get to fed. However if need be they always had packets of blood in storage, most for emergencies.
 
she smiled gratefully at him as they were finishing their walk to the carnival, "you seem to be enjoying this night." she could see the lights of the carnival coming up through the trees, the other vampires were enjoying themselves as usual and some were sitting outside enjoying this beautiful night as well.
 
He smiled as he looked at once more "Yes, I adore nights like this. They are so calming and very good nights to think on. It was on a night like this that I got my idea for Science" He looked over seeing the flashing lights of The Carnival and smiled even bigger "They seem to be enjoying the night as well" He said as he eyed the many of his fellow vampire and occasionally humans outside enjoying the wheather as well
 
"it does seem to be that way doesnt it?" she giggled and as they reached the carnival she unhinged her dress to fall back down to normal length. "where do you think we could finish our conversation?" she looked up at him her back to the same ocean colored blue after finally feeding for the first time in awhile.
 
He smiled he they entered through The Carnival gate after thanking the guard for escorting them, he turned back to her smiling as he saw her natural colored eyes "We could go to my lab" He said, his room otherwise known as his lab was basically the work station he used when he created his invention for he still didn't have his own lab. "That is if milady doesn't have a problem with that"
 
she blushed but didnt mind, she nodded to their guard and thanked him as well, " i dont mind at all i think it will be a good place to talk to you." she was a bit nervous as she has never told anyone in the hundreds of years of being in the carnival told anyone much about herself and why she gets the way she does. but she trusted him and knew she could tell him anything.
 
He smiled at her "Excellent" He said as he led her to the giant Carnival tent all of them lived in and made his way down the metal hallway he constructed and rounded the corner to walk down the hallway and swiped his thumb over the door scanner as it opened and he led Ardetha in to see Science laying down on his bed "Hello Science, I was wondering where you went" He said he cleared a space for Ardetha to sit down
 
ardetha tucked her dress under her thighs as she sat down looking around his creatively decorated room, she looked over to science and she stroked the cold metal he was constructed of. "hello dear science, seems you shall be joining on this night to hm?" she was smiling at the cat and then watched skillx to see where he would sit himself, her nervousness growing in the pit of her stomach.
 
He smiled as she sat down and turned around to clear some space off his working desk that was filled with scrap metal and designs as he hopped up on the table, his room was rather messy. However one of the walls were covered with giants gears and and the rest of them had prototypes of his inventions hanging on them. He also had a few designs hanging on the walls but no one could steal them since those were ones he had already created.


He looked around and smiled "Sorry it is rather messy in here" he blushed lightly before he leaned forward a bit "So what is it that you wanted to tell me?" He questioned innocently
 
She looked around in awe still but came back when he spoke, "o-oh I was just...well...I thought you should be the first person here to know my secret." She blushed deeply and her hands balled her dress up on her lap playing with the material in a nervous manner


(Again do forgive short replies as I am now on my phone and they look much larger on here than a laptop)
