The Tale of the Pink Pearl
Adventure awaits!

Had you told Zelheir that they would permanently take on the visage of Dahlia and sail the seas and skies in some old, royal airship with people they barely knew, they… honestly would have believed you. Weirder circumstances had happened before.

It had been a few days since the debacle in Therone. With the help of a couple of hires, Dahlia had managed to secure the old Therone airship and bust it out of its old warehouse. They weren’t using it anyway, so what’s the harm, right?

It wasn’t long after Bob had lifted off before the crew discovered that they weren’t alone on the ship. A couple of stragglers somehow found themselves on the ship during the commotion of stealing it. It didn’t look like they were keen on leaving the ship any time soon nor did they look like they intended to turn them in, so Dahlia didn’t find any harm in letting them stay. Introductions were easy enough. They passed the baton for each name, what they could do and why they were there - Dahlia just vaguely gestured to the princess, saying something about accompanying her on some grand adventure she wanted to go on.

Dahlia would say that they had a fine crew on their hands, but she didn’t have much of an experience to really know that. They had a couple of engineers, the pilot, the ship’s spirit, the ship’s ghost and a couple of thieves who had nothing better to do than to magically appear onto a stolen ship. As far as she was concerned, they all seemed capable of protecting and helping the ship with their abilities and honestly, that’s all she could ask for. Oh, and of course not betraying them - but a band of thieves wouldn’t betray each other too easily. Not when all of their heads could be served on a silver platter.

Now, the Pink Pearl was a fine ship. As was expected of something that was a royal ship once before. Because of its age and lack of maintenance, there were a lot of the components that they would have to fix - which meant that they soon had to land somewhere that wouldn’t land them in hot water with the still on high-alert Therone soldiers.

Stealing an airship was one thing. Getting out undetected was another thing entirely. You couldn’t blame anyone for the entirety of Therone noticing a massive ship taking off from that one warehouse that was locked down by the royal family. And… if they so happen to have the princess with them, at her behest, then that’s another matter entirely.

Dahlia had ordered for Bob to set sail to Perelates. It was one of the few places where she could rest easy as long as she kept her pockets shut and her eyes open at all times. But hey, at least the guards aren’t going after you every second. And for a stolen ship as grandiose as theirs, it would be a good idea to take it there for repairs and maybe a new paint job. It really needed a retouch. The paint was practically coming off!

Anyway, as long as they don’t stir up trouble with the Crimson Talons - probably the last group she would ever want to be hunted by - everything should go smoothly. They had enough money by the grace of the princess’s gracious donation of funds that she had taken from the Therone treasury to bring along. Dahlia had to be thankful that the girl could take so much with her that it should be enough to cover all of their expenses.

Perelates was close. She knew what Jake and Alreen would set off to do, as well as their local spirit Hildr. They’d need to get to work as fast as possible. She wasn’t very keen on staying for too long. She had to find a fence too. She had brought a stash of interesting valuables she had nabbed for this particular trip anyway, for additional funds.

Dahlia called everyone to the bridge of the ship to announce a few things. Her form shifted ever so slightly at the excitement of being able to get out of the ship again. Finally, on dry land.

Watson Capulet.png
The world changes like the turning tides, or perhaps with the never stopping wheel of time. If the analogy was of water, Watson wanted to dam it up and make it still and timeless. If the analogy was the wheel of time, Watson desperately wished that he could still grasp onto the hilt of an axe and chop the wheel right in half. Fuck you, wheel.

It had taken him a few months to get used to being dead, but after that, Watson had fallen into the sleepy life of tending to his plants and reading his books in one of the abandoned rooms of the Pink Pearl. He learned that only interacting with the few people that resided on the ship was pretty much fine for Watson. He liked it. If he was lonely, he could talk to his plants while he watered them, or read his books. The plants, in particular his potted cactus, understood him. They never said anything idiotic and they listened patiently. The books, well, they made Watson feel stupid even when he knew he wasn't stupid, but that wasn't the book's fault. It was a good life... well, afterlife, to be accurate.

But then everything changed. He knew it when he felt it. Thieves had taken over the Pink Pearl.

"WHO TOUCHED MAH ANCHOR??" Watson remembered bellowing when he felt the shift in the atmosphere. And now here he was-- up in the skies once more, with the Pink Pearl lively and bustling. Watson didn't know if he was okay with other people in the Pearl, who may potentially trample the overgrown vines and plants in his room. But Hildr's go-with-the-flow attitude had definitely rubbed off on Watson, so he was in some way okay with the crowds of people. Sorta... kinda.

Now with Dahlia's call, Watson let a pent up breath escape through his teeth. He was in the middle of tending to his plants with a tiny pair of shears, and it was taking a great deal of concentration since he still wasn't able to move things around well in his teddy bear form. But Watson responded to the call, and unpossessed the teddy bear, allowing it and the shears to flop to the ground in his room. He then rose through the planks of the roof and onto the deck, where he appeared behind Dahlia.

"Godspeed to you," Watson greeted her, probably completely botching what 'godspeed' meant. "Something you wish to discuss? For I'd like to ask that when we stop, we grab some fertilizer. Either that or you all need to use the loo more often. My plants are malnourished."

”fucked, fucked, super fucked... WHAT THE” a particularly irritated woman spoke to herself running her hands over some of the airships internals she lamented the horrible state this vessel was in made her say some rather unsavory words luckily only those that understood dragon would have heard them clearly. This was Slreen the resident dragon and mechanic of an Impressive but very poorly maintained vessel. Of course, Alreen had never exactly bothered to hide the fact she was a dragon making even her human form made it abundantly clear, sporting an impressive set of horns that emerged from her silvery hair, as well as a tail on occasions, though her outfit was less substantial as she preferred to keep it to a minimum adding anything fancy to the form generally just made it more annoying to shift between for Alreen. Though it seemed there ever strange captain had decided to call a meeting, a welcome distraction from the various things that pissed of the dragon. Everything was a lot smaller here though not like her previous home but Beggars can’t be choosers so she’d have to deal with it least, and maybe she’d get to eat the thieves if anyone of em decided it would be amusing to try and snag some of her treasures, of course, it was a small pile at the moment hardly enough to even sleep on comfortably but it was all she was able to take with her post-eviction. Heading up to the bridge alreen saw that another ghost guy was already there great.. oh well not like she was last here so she didn't care much. "right then captain what we doing then?"

When the princess was still cooped up in her tower, fantasizing about her grand adventure, she didn't really take broken showers and noisy engines into consideration. While it was indeed her idea to steal this royal vessel, a large part of her wished that it was more functional. She supposed at least the ship came with two extra spirits... ghosts... intangible humanoids. Then again she also wished they were tangible. It would have been so much better if she could touch them. Oh, the joy of touching... How she missed it! She haven't had much luck with the other crews as well. Perhaps she was losing her charm? She must be losing her charm...

With a single sob, the princess used a dainty finger to wipe the lone tear off her face. Being out in the open sky, standing on the Pink Pearl's bowsprit to be more precise, never failed to unlock her dramatic side. "Oh right, I should be somewhere." She reminded herself before adjusting the shiny tiara on her crown. Her dear friend requested the entire Pearl's presence in the helm.

So, without further ado, the princess made a beeline for the designated assemblage. It wasn't long before the door to the ship's bridge opened with enthusiasm and in came the resident royalty. "I need a dress!" She proclaimed, her back quickly finding the nearest wall before she slid down with one hand over her forehead in a dramatic fashion. "Please! I've been alternating between this outfit," she gestured at the relatively mundane (compared to her former royal garbs) tunic Dahlia gave her when they made a run for it, "an equally shabby-looking one, and my nightdress! I just feel like I'm losing my charm." Her glistening pink eyes wandered towards each current occupants.

Of course the princess was fully aware that her charm didn't depend on her clothing. She was just as charming with our without them, as a number of people have told her.

Finally, when she was done with her impromptu drama, the princess leaned against the soft teddy bear with a pout. She had plenty of oversized stuff toys back in Therone. In fact, she had plenty of plenty things. Oh, how she missed it! Alas, adventure calls for sacrifices. "Please tell me we're finally landing someplace at least."

Celica Lune

"I'm awake!" Celica claimed loudly from her room, full of wild energy as if she hadn't slept for only two hours. Her eyes were wide, and a huge grin was on her face like she just drank a liter of caffeine. She doesn't drink caffeine. The Banshee was way too happy about being aboard an airship, "Well, can you believe it? A FLYING SHIP!" She screamed once again, just as she did the night before, but this time to no one in particular.

"Why are you so noisy?" A voice spoke, tired and irritated, a common question given to Celica by Isla, her ginger-haired doll. "Can't you be like... Normal for once?" To which, the receiver of such questions mockingly mouthed in repeat only to further infuriate her own doll.

"Oh please, Isla. As if you're not used to it. Let her be." Said Yen whose voice hed a rather thick accent that she could never recognize. Their owner, nodding to his statement, while Cookies merely barked. Yen wanted to say more, as he always loved to infuriate the other rag doll but Celica had spoken first.

"Aaaaanyway," she started to interrupt the would be argument of her two dolls. "I heard ze captain calling! Time to go and find Axel. BYE." Celica closed the door of her room with great force and skipped her way to the City Elf's room, which was, to be honest... Just in front of hers. A quick rap on the door and she yelled, "Axel!" And because she is impatient she repeated again and called in a sing-song way, "Oh, Axel~"

Sigh. "Since you're taking too long, I'm coming in!" Her voice was nothing but cheery, and then BAM! She kicked his door open and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Axel, the Captain of the ship is calling everyone!" She then gave him a sweet smile, swaying her body back and forth with an energetic wave. "Goodmorning."

Hildr

Floating upside down atop their once-again residence, a slightly transparent ship spirit frowned, deep in contemplation. Hildr was pondering on a serious, life-changing, momentous matter that furrowed their ash-white brows and took up all of their intangible mind. An issue that would topple all other issues, a topic that would rule all other topics, a problem that would capsize all other problems. And of course, the matter-issue-topic-problem in question was: eating. Or more specifically, how Hildr could eat. It was a difficult dilemma that could drive the most illustrious professors in the field of consumption into circles, never mind an uneducated spirit who had never gone further than a hick village in the mountains. A hick village in the mountains that worshipped that same spirit for some time, foolishly enough.

Before a cloud could form over their head, Hildr shook off that memory, refocusing on their current worry. So really, how could they eat? (Without waiting ages for their body to materialize, that is. They weren't certain how long that would take, but with their luck, it would be centuries before it'd happen.) Flying in twisting loops that mirrored their state of mind, their eyebrows scrunching close enough to be a unibrow, they were finally snapped out of it when they felt people moving towards the captain.

The meeting! They had almost forgotten that Dahlia had called all residents to the bridge. The Pink Pearl was nearing Perelates at a speed that spoke of docking there, so it likely had something to do with that. Hildr pursed their lips. It wasn’t like they were going to be able to truly visit it, anyway. They paused in their sullen thoughts. But if someone was willing to bring a chunk of ship along... The ship spirit’s eyes lit up, feeling eager for the first time to land.

Diving straight down, past the exterior of the ship, to the spot Dahlia stood at with multiple other members of their hastily assembled crew, Hildr beamed at the others with a smile that was a tad too affectionate. Scanning over their ragtag companions, they gleefully counted all the possible porters.

Letting out an attention catching “ahem”, Hildr started to appeal to the audience. “Would anybody be willing to bring a plank along with them? I’d be ever so grateful if you could!” Putting their hands together, they continued, “It wouldn’t even take that much effort. Just a small piece would be enough for a pitiful spirit to see the magnificence of the wider world! You would be doing a good deed worthy of,” they wracked their brain, “a powerful ship spirit’s favour!”

"997,"

Somehow, someway...perhaps by divine intervention Zekken wound up on a sky pirate ship. While it would have been completely within his nature to challenge everyone to a duel to the death, he wasn't a warmongering, bloodthirsty idiot. He was a practical warmongering, bloodthirsty creature. The challengers (victims) were becoming bland and wholly uninspiring. Perhaps there would be mightier warriors abroad. Now that he had a sky ship...well, now that he was aquantied with an owner of a sky ship, he could continue his search. Even better, by associating with notorious criminals perhaps the warriors would actually come to him this time.

"998"

He supposed the people on the ship were not overly annoying. They all had various roles that helped move things along...actually he was completely dependent on them while traveling.

"999."

Annnnnnd the Captain called a meeting. Was there an unbeatable dragon of doom bearing down upon them at this very moment. Zekken could only hope that some world ending creature had singled them out for no reason other than pure chance....perhaps even two of them.

"1000," Zekken said with a sigh of satisfaction now that he had successfully polished Blood Spring. "Well let's see what this is all about."

Zekken made his way to the bridge wit a yawn and a bottle of sake. The skies didn't look as if they were filled with dread and doom. No one seemed alarmed either. His dream of an apocalyptic battle would have to wait.

Peaceful, dark abyss . . a pacifying sensation many others longed to experience. Deep inside the ship, a few doors down lied a man with nothing but a shadowy orb encircling him. A muted meditative state he preferred to rest in especially for the seemingly endless journey at sea. What were they trying to do? Sail around the entire ocean, and return to the opposite side of the same country?

Axel slightly furrowed his brows at the thought attempting to break his barrier. Yet, it was easy to drift away. Dark swirls of shadows surrounded his body, the cloudy envelope presenting infinity as an option. A forever abyss some desired to feel- BAM!

The dark orb quickly dissipated into shadowy whisps of air, revealing a disheveled city elf halfway lying down on his bed with legs suspending down his bed's side. Right in front of him, a familiar explosive personality waved good morning with a smile. She as usual, more than ready to start the day.

Axel slightly raised himself upward, his hand holding a side of his head with his tousled hair finding its way through his fingers. And there he stayed, eyeing Lune in all her morning glory. "Good morning," He lowly growled with heavy eyelids indifferent to the time of day. This wouldn't be the first time she had ever woken him up from meditation. Normally, he'd instinctively shadow step behind the intruder and land a strike. But Lune . . he'd gotten used to Lune.

Poof. His body disappeared right before her eyes, reappearing just as fast behind his wall's shadow. "You haven't eaten yet, have you?" He gazed outside his window, buttoning his shirt before moving a hand through his hair. In truth, he'd been awake for a while now. Yet there wasn't much to do on a boat when he didn't feel like interacting with others. Alas, now he'd officially rested up to the point where discussion was open. Bit groggy from his session, but prepared nonetheless.

His eyes glanced to Lune, momentarily studying her reaction as he fixed his sleeve. "Alright," He mumbled walking toward her, "Time to hear Cap's news." And with that the two made their way up to the others. A strong morning brightness made the elf slightly squint against the early sun till he smoothly veered off to the side. Then, he leaned back against a wall with both hands in his pockets. Axel's attention was fully on the captain by now, ready to take in what the rest of the group had to offer.

Colorless Spectrum Colorless Spectrum

Anyone near Jake's room would most certainly think there was some sort of fire or magical spill in there if they went off of the smell that emanated from there alone. And they would only be half wrong. True, the noxious fumes that were largely contained within the confines of the room would be undoubtedly incredibly poisonous to anyone without his constitution. And yes, there may or may not be balefire raging inside, but it is largely contained. A poor table had been licked a little, that's all, and it didn't matter that much, anyway, since the greenish black that came as a result actually sort of improved it's look.

One might wonder, to what end were these horrible things performed? What vile ritual had caused so great a backlash? Could it be the work of a monstrous warlock? Perhaps someone who sought to bargain with demonic entities? Or maybe...one of the Sons?

No such luck for anyone who might be thrilled by the prospect of these possibilities being a reality. No, instead it was a simple magical misshap, the kind that happens when an ambitious runesmith tries to weaponize a piece of an energy monstrosity with only the most rudimentary of understandings regarding it's inner workings. Of course, he had taken some precautions. In fact, those precautions were probably why the balefire was contained in the first place.

Jake sighed loudly, finally managing to extinguish the flame, and sat back down. His shirt was ruined-tattered rags remained only, failing to cover most of his torso, which had slight burn marks on it. Albeit, one might notice, they were slowly being healed. He opened a rickety drawer, looking for a new one....and found no such thing. Of fucking course. When every other day some accident happened, most of the time the clothes did not survive. He was grateful none of the Balefire got to his trousers-now that would be bloody embarassing. Hopefully he'd be able to get replacements soon.

Speaking of replacements...Zelheir had mentioned something about wanting to see them all at the bridge, didn't she? That probably included him, too, didn't it? Ah, shite. Oh well, there would be all the time in the world for experiments later. Possibly experiments with Zelheir. Not that the others had not piqued his interest...

Actually, this entire premise had greatly excited the young man. Sighs, sounds. Wonderful people. And free reign! Complete freedom! For all the shortcomings, this was exactly what he'd signed up for!

He tore off the remaining charred rags, once again cursing under his breath, and stepped out, heading to the bridge. It wasn't long before the enthusiastic man burst through the door. Shirtless, tired, and with the burns still well visible on his chest, but with a smile joyous enough to rival a proffesional clown.

"Ladies! Gentlemen! Ephermal entities! Good morning to you all. It is a delight! Now, it would not do to presume, but I shall presume all the same: This impormptu meeting has something to do with us finding supplies, yes? Because let me tell you, supplies are running low. I've done my best to jury-rig the ship best I knew how but I'm still lacking several components. Add to that materials, runes, ink...and some shirts for crying out loud!"

He took a moment to give every occupant in the room a long look, a trick his father had taught him for commanding attention of an audience. Unfortunately eye contact with the princesses's gorgeous pink orbs was an ill-conceived plan, and the words he was about to say were stuck in his throat. Seeking to quickly rectify this issue, he rapidly changed targets of attention...only for his gaze to stumble upon Alreen and her...outfit. Or much better put, her lack of an outfit. Still speechless(and undoubtedly looking incredibly stupid, now), he quickly fumbled with his belt to retrieve a piece of paper. It was empty, but it was all he had on him at that time.

"Eh-hem. Pardon the pause, I merely had a thought. Anyway, yes, as I have written here on this paper, I must denote that we seem to be on a stolen vessel. This is a problem, but not of the moral variety. I simply find it difficult to think of how we could find a port willing to trade with us, but still trustworthy enough not to attempt to swindle us. Therefore I find it worthy of note that we must consider acquiring our needs via less...scrupulous means. I am not saying this as a suggestion, merely presenting it as a point of consideration."

Dahlia patiently waited for everyone as she took out a coin and began flipping it between her fingers. She knew better than to expect everyone to heed her commands, especially since she hadn't exactly proven much to earn the title of captain. But considering that none of them have anything better to do and all of their supplies running low after the escape, it would be reasonable that they'd at least consider her words.

Watson was the first to appear... behind her. Dahlia's form tensed only for a moment before a smile was branded onto her face. "And greetings to you too Watson." She couldn't help but laugh at his inquiry. "No worries, the supply trip is exactly the reason why I called everyone in here at this hour." Dahlia didn't exactly excrete the same things most of the humanoid species do so she doubted hers would be of much help to his plants.

Alreen appeared next but before Dahlia could even offer more than a wave of her hand, the princess had soon made her dramatic appearance. "We should really buy you a magical fainting couch that follows you everywhere." Dahlia pointed out, humor clearly painted in her words in response to her dramatics. She shifted her weight to the side, a smirk breaking onto her face. While Dahlia will not lie that half of the reason why she's doing so much for the princess had been because the princess has grown on her (and that she was easy on the eyes), money had also been a big factor in their working relationship. "Fret not, dear princess, land is only a few more miles away. After that, you can go shop to your heart's content... or well, your money's content." Regrettably, as with most things, it came with the restriction of having to pay to get things.

Not that it ever stopped Dahlia from... acquiring things for free.

Hildr appeared next. Ah yes, the ship's spirit - how unfortunate it had to be bound to its body for it to move. Dahlia looked around before spotting a loose board to the side. It didn't look too important but Dahlia only broke off a small portion. "This should be enough, right?" She asked the spirit though immediately pocketed it. "We'll just pass your around depending on where you want to go."

Zekken came next though said nothing, along with the duo Celica and Axel. She gave them all a nod of acknowledgment as they came in. She did wonder what kind of tricks Celica and Axel could give them. They worked together for such a long time and Dahlia knew that their loyalty to the ship was flismy, at best. But as long as they all benefited from each other in some way, then everything would turn out fine.

Jake's entrance was eye catching as always. Dahlia relaxed in her position as she listened to the engineer's speech about supply gathering. She nodded along with him and once he had finished, she immediately started. "And you presume right Jake. This meeting is about the supply run once we land on the shores of Perelates. For those of you who don't know, Perelates is an island known for its... back alley nature. Thieves like us can make transactions without worry of law enforcement cracking us down. As long as you stay in the Crimson Talon's good side, you should be perfectly fine."

Dahlia waved her hand dismissively. "Now, I don't want to know all about what you want to buy. You have your own money and hands, I'm not your mother. Go do whatever you want." For the first time during her entire speech, her smile dropped and she crossed her arms. "But if you're gonna go get something for free, make sure you aren't seen... catch my drift? I don't want the Crimson Talons on our ass this entire trip. Those people can tear this flimsy ship into two with their cannons."

"Jake presents a good point of being swindled. But hey, are you really ready for life at seas if you can't handle a little Perelates trading?"
Dahlia snickered. She clapped her hands together, turning her attention to the princess. "Of course, considering our beloved princess is the one who came up with this bright idea, it would only be right for her to fund us... no? Just for fixing the ship, of course!"

"Now, rule one, don't cause trouble. If you are, make sure you don't get tracked back here. We meet back here at sundown. Any questions?"

Standing with a fair deal of annoyance in her expression, Alreen' s attention was grabbed by the ship's resident spirit Hildr whom was making a request for someone to bring along part of the ship so she could follow. Alreen of course in her own draconian way had already worked out this might be the case. "Don't worry bout it Hildr I got ya covered on that part" Alreen announced confidently somehow pulling out a carved wooden bracelet from god knows where. “Made form part of the ship should allow ya outside and make it easy for everyone.. and errr can ya not like pull apart more of the ship cap I mean th-”Alreen would have said more if not for the arrival of the vessel other residents mechanic... jake... well mentioning the lack of supplies... not that he was the one that damage about as much stuff as he’d claimed that he’d repaired staring directly at him as he looked like a deer in headlights as Jakes gaze at Alreen.

“Jake just the warlock I wanted to see” she’d address him directly once he’d gotten over whatever was distracting him and finished suggestion of how exactly they were going to obtain their supplies. “You do realize your so-called marvellous jury-rigging has blown at least three of counter flux conduits, and caused a fracture in the flight core, that iv so graciously had to go and seal up three times since this flight started“ her comment was a mix of amusement and annoyance in the process getting uncomfortable close to Jack so she could look the guy straight in the eyes. She had a bit of a love-hate opinion of There resident mutant warlock.. while his experiments with the ship so far had been interesting more than Alreen could think of doing with it... the damage and extra work she had to do in fixing any failures were less so. Out of the blue Alreen long pointed tongue would lick jacks face before retracting itself back into the dragon's mouth as she back away form the guy. “aaaaand you're screwing with balefire honestly all of you are gonna kill someone at this rate” Alreen added with a more overall address to the assembled crew. “But he is right we have been running out of parts there only so much I can do with outdated and second-hand junk” adding in finally focusing in on what the captain was saying.

So they where gonna actually make a stop, Perelates was the perfect place to get parts Alreen had on occasion when her previous home drifted by, took some things of course in a manner that wouldn’t put her on any records anyway. “Right then where picking up parts then and don’t worry about scamming thing I’ll just eat the idiot that something like that“ alreen replied to captains speech giving a nod to the rule set in place ”don’t worry bout that either I’m sure we can deal with that stuff”

Watson Capulet.png
The ship was certainly brimming with liveliness. First came the Dragonborn, charming even despite the displeasure on her face. Then the princess, thotty and bewitching as always. Hildr came next, chipper and bright as always. Her request made Watson a bit envious... perhaps he would ask to take the anchor and explore the town. Of course, this wasn't going to be the time to steal it away and take his freedom... it'd be too much of an inconvenience for the other pirates. The handsome war spirit or whatever the heck he was came next, holding a bottle of wine. Didn't he know that drinking before 4PM was a bad idea? Eh, if he had some sort of aggression when drunk, Watson was immune from it. He was incorporeal, baby! The dynamic thief duo arrived next (and Watson secretly shipped them). Finally, the maniac doctor came, and with him came Alreen's harsh words, which honestly wasn't inaccurate. Jake's ruckus had frequently disturbed Watson's peace and quiet.

"Princess Emhyr, what uncouth untruths do you speak of?" Watson squirmed from underneath Cel's arms. He had completely butchered the meaning of uncouth, in an ironically rude way, "Are you saying you have no charm in the bedroom? For with one look, I know it to be untrue. Your looks would attract eyes and hearts alike even without clothes!"

"N-not that I'd want to see you like that or anything," Watson said. Thank goodness nobody could see when a teddy bear was blushing. He also attempted to push Cel off of him, even though he secretly didn't mind the pressure of her body on him, "Also get off of me! You're going to ruin my stuffing!"

"Hey, Jake, no simping," Watson reminded the psycho-doctor rather hypocritically. It was pretty obvious from Jake's gaze that the doctor was getting quite flustered by his teddy bear body. Why a giant, fluffy bear body with an innocent bow tie around the neck would titillate someone was beyond Watson. Regardless, Watson despised simps, even if the simping was directed at him. He didn't even consider the possibility that he had made a horrible incorrect assumption.

With the stop to pick up some goods, it tempted Watson to want to venture off of the ship. It had felt like forever since he left the landscape of wood and the plants. Maybe it was time for a breath of fresh air... wait, he couldn't breathe. Regardless, Watson racked his brain on the best way to ask to get off the ship. Maybe nicely? No, that gave the possibility for the answer to be no, and Watson knew he couldn't accept such an answer. Maybe rudely? No, that wouldn't work either. He couldn't make a bad impression on the newcomers of the ship... as unwelcome as they were. Maybe in a direct way?

"Since we're going on a shopping excursion, I'll also take my leave of the ship to get a breath of fresh air," Watson declared, "Hildr, I'll be borrowing the anchor. Would that be an issue?"

Getting off the ship was going to be an exciting journey for Watson. He could check out all the adult stuff he had missed out on while studying in college. Perhaps he could go to a pub and get drunk! Maybe he could go shopping for clothing! He could sit at a table and enjoy a cup of coffee while not worrying about his schoolwork! He could ask the street kids to teach him skateboarding!

No... how the hell was a ghost supposed to do any of that stuff? Maybe he'd just get his fertilizer and come straight back. Or maybe he'd accompany Cel to buy her a dress or something. Damn, being dead sucked.

Celica Lune

Celica followed Axel's lead, giving an energetic wave to anyone that looks their way. When Jake came and gave a hearty greeting, the blue-haired woman was quick to answer with her own. "Good morning to you too, weird elf-eared man." She genuinely can't remember his name but even if she did, she'd call him just the same as she did a second ago.

Celica merely rolled the balls of her feet while Jake spoke of the things that he needed, jumping when he exclaimed about the lack of shirts. "Excuse you, sir! My outfit is perfectly presentable." She gave a smug look as her hands gestured to the two-piece outfit that revealed a lot of her pale skin and colorful tattoos on the right side of her body.

Dahlia continued on to talk of why they wanted all of them by the bridge. And from the first few mentions of back-alley and thieves, Celica was already excited, she did snort at the mention of the Crimson Talons because, why would they need to be afraid of them? If the other ship crew was gonna blast them with cannons then they'll just have to blast some back and add a few dynamite sticks or maybe some Molotov in there.

Celica saluted to Dahlia and gave out an excited, "Aye aye, Captain!" before she tugged on Axel's sleeves and whispered loudly, "Axel let's go with them and get some stuff for the ship and ourselves!" Her eyes twinkled at the thought and underneath the morning sun. "Hehehe, if we get the chance we could also blow stuff up."

"Let's go with Mister Jakey-wakey." She added before skipping over to the Elf Mutant. "HIIIIII!!!!"

More people poured into the bridge after the princess' dramatic shenanigan. First was the Pink Pearl's spirit itself- Hilda! Er... 'Holdy? No, their name definitely had an R... Hordy? Hardy? Horn- oh whatever! The ship's spirit!' The royalty watched as the captain chipped off a part of the ship only to be told by the dragon that she got it covered. The next one was another spirit- technically. The spirit of war! 'What was his name again? It was one letter.... X? Was he X? Nah, that's another dude. A very cursed dude... Y? Z? Probably Z.' The princess nodded to herself proudly. You might think that a being with seventeen first names would excel at remembering names, especially if they belong to people she has been sailing with for a couple of weeks now.

Then entered the mutant who spoke like he was one of her father's besties in the court. She caught him gawking at her for a bit, so she wasted no time and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Unfortunately, the moment was fleeting and he soon continued his flowery speech. It was only afterwards when the resident banshee piped out about her fashion did the princess notice hers and the shadowy elf's presences. The pair was rather inseparable, which would be a shame if the princess was against team effort.

The captain's news elicited an excited shriek from the runaway royalty, causing her to tighten her hold onto the poor teddy bear in extension. The ghost retaliated by attempting to push her off him, but his earlier words betrayed his action. "Oh joy! I think I found my new best friend!" She squeezed their cheeks together while the brightest of grins adorned her features. "As a token of my appreciation for your kind words, I choose you to accompany me in my quest. You and I will find the BEST dress in Perelates! A dress fitting for someone as royally gorgeous as me!" She then detached herself and twirled around at the center of the room, undoing the belt around her tunic in the process. Once it was undone, she bunched the clothing up just beneath her chest to expose the large mouth occupying the space on her abdomen. It then spat out a bag of gold which hit the wooden floor with a loud clank.

She smiled at herself proudly and rested her hands on her waist. "Will that suffice? I can spare a few more bags." The mouth on her abdomen grinned, its shark-like teeth glinting against the morning rays.

A bellowing voice caught the crowd's attention. Jake's speech started off well. Powerful introduction, smooth wording, but then he began explaining his grocery list. "Excuse you, sir! My outfit is perfectly presentable," Lune defensively presented before shamelessly gesturing to her body. "No, it's not," Axel mumbled, not bothering to glance in her direction. Jake paused. His focused gaze obviously plastered on a select few before taking out said grocery list. Pardon, notes it seemed about their current situation.

Swindling was nothing new to the duo. It was a daily case scenario at this point for Axel, indifferent to whether business with others was trustworthy. Most of his negotiations were based on the assumption that the other party wasn't trustworthy. Though, he himself often managed to keep his word.

"Therefore I find it worthy of note that we must consider acquiring our needs via less...scrupulous means. I am not saying this as a suggestion, merely presenting it as a point of consideration," Jake factually concluded as a sly smile formed on Axel's face, "Now we're talking."

Then a much calmer voice chimed in. The captain nodded in approval as she delved into Perelates's back alley nature. An exact hint of charisma sugarcoated over her words, while she segued over into the princess funding their venture. To conclude her speech, Cap laid down the final details explaining safety guidelines and curfew. "Crystal clear, Cap," Axel gave a single nod at the seemingly composed leader as some sort of discussion about the dragon girl eating idiots began to surface off to the side.

That's when Lune tugged his sleeves. His head turned to the banshee excitedly urging them to tag along. There was that familiar twinkle in her eye at the thought of blowing stuff up, a look he learned to easily say no to- "Alright, alright," He conceded, not really putting up resistance in the first place.

Axel followed Lune over to the ship's engineer. His cold confidence naturally exuding with each step he took, all building up to- "Jake," He mentioned rather seriously, "I'm guessing you have a list of required supplies. What can we assist you with?"

Clank. The familiar sound rang through Axel's mind. A bag of gold no doubt. His attention momentarily diverted onto the princess, though he had a delayed observation of the mouth on her stomach. Once his eyes landed on the opening, they lingered for a bit. He studied the smiling mouth ready to part for more bags of gold.

World's safest bank if you asked him.

"Cap, you as well," He blurted, pulling his gaze away from Cel's stomach mouth then onto Dahlia, "Need anything in particular?"

"A shopping trip," Z asked himself rhetorically. Not only did this have nothing to do with his previous fantasy of a terrible dragon, but it was on the opposite end of the spectrum. Frolicking, trying on dresses, and an air of unpleasant pleasantness corroded his mind until he needed another swig of sake. Context be damned (they did explain it was for supplies), the phrase shopping...coupled with the warning of being on "good behavior" only furthered his nauseation. Z concluded he would make like a Watson and stay on the ship while they went shopping. If he was the type to throw a temper tantrum now would be his moment to shine. He simply snickered and folded his arms as the rest begin to partake in their daily shenanigans.

However, as the Captain continued to speak, the reprecussions of causing trouble actually piqued his interest. There was a mention of the Crimson Talon, no doubt an organization as opposed to a person and they sounded pretty strong. Strong enough to give a captain of this crew pause. A crew that happened to have Zekken in it no less.....he wanted to kill them. Nevertheless, he was smart enough to know this could interfere with their plans and he would be left ship less and landlocked yet again. The freedoms of searching out strong persons was something he never knew he needed, and now that he had it there was no way he would let it go. However, it couldn't hurt to find out who they were. Maybe even have a short brush with them. Maybe even piss them off ever so slightly. Maybe even declare an all out war to the death were both sides suffer casualties of the grandest-....pull it together Zekken......rip it apart. TEAR IT ALL ASUNDE-, his thoughts were interrupted by the princess literally throwing up a bag of money. She was someone else he wanted to kill. He coudn't help but wonder which one of them would come out on top if they were to fight to the death. The though excited him...almost as much as the Crimson Talons.

"I've change my mind," Zekken stated not caring that no one would be aware that his mind needed changing. "I'll be going with you guys on this shopping excursion. There's nothing I need in particular, but I'd be willing to tag along as a body guard if needed." He then turned toward the Captain. "If no one needs a guard, I will venture out on my own." The last part wasn't meant as a threat, but given his....quirks, Zekken being left to his own devices could be a problem.

The wall of the bridge suddenly shifted, as though a humanoid-shaped section of the surface itself had slid to the side. Soon, the shape took form as Kai—the reclusive, camouflaged cannon boy—ended his depth-perception spell. His current robes perfectly matched the colors of the wall, a bit of careful work allowing the fetchling to put up a near-seamless disguise in tandem with his only illusion.

“I’d like to add a second rule,” he declared. “Don’t be too open or dramatic out there. Loose lips sink ships, so do what I tend to do better and blend.” He gave Prinny—likely the least experienced of the new crew aside from himself—a noticeable pointed glance, directing at her what was otherwise a general tip.

With his own rousing pep talk over, the pretentious tinkerer leaned back against the wall with a sharp exhale, his posture going lax. “That said, I’ll be coming with you, as Cel probably needs gunpowder, and I need some quality bombs from Cel... and, of course, we’re all starved for some fun by now, so... rule three: have a bit of fun...?” He glanced at the captain and shrugged, almost expecting them to agree with his amendment.

So it does seem like everyone has their own interests to get. Jake and Alreen are the only ones who are out there to find parts for the ship while the others will acquire their own wants. Dahlia didn't have any qualms with this. She was no engineer either so there isn't actually anything she could buy to help the ship. Though she could probably get them sorted with their destination... she'll have to think on that.

She smirked at the appearance of the bag of gold, sounded nice and heavy. Dahlia could reckon that it was definitely enough for everyone's needs unless the princess decided to splurge. She made no move to grab the gold and she waved them off. "Well then, grab however much you think you'll need." She stretched her limbs upwards and her form slowly began to shift into that of a white haired male. He pressed his hand to the side of his neck and stretched until there was a resounding pop. These humanoid muscles and bones were a little bothersome sometimes but it's so satisfying to do.

He raised a hand towards Axel. "No worries friend. I will acquire my own things." He shed off the coat he wore as Dahlia and hung it on his arm. The captain nodded at Z and Kai. "Then both of you shall go with the princess. Alongside Hildr and Watson, yes?" He looked over to the two spirits for confirmation. That should be enough people to guard the princess with. Considering she's a well-known face, it would have been nice if they were able to hide her face somehow. She was the most widely known out of all of them. For now, however, he pulled out a cloak from his knapsack and wrapped it around the princess.

"As much as it pains me to hide your beautiful face from the world, we must be careful at all times." He raised the hood over her head and smirked as he leaned down to place his chin on her shoulder and whispered. "Though, then again, I might not be able to control myself for longer." Immediately after that, he detached himself from her and patted her on the back as he moved back.

"I agree with your rules Kai. Though, please, not too much fun. Not if it can be traced back to the ship." His eyes lingered on each of them as he said those words. "And as for you four, I reckon that you will be together for gathering parts? I believe they can be located to the east of the plaza. Though I'm sure you all can find your way around."

"If that's all, then all of you may go. And remember, you'll know who I am because of this."
He tapped on an avian brooch clipped onto his shirt. The captain gave them a two fingered salute and a wink before exiting the bridge.

With the departure of the captain and the docking of the ship, the crew is now free to do whatever they wish under the watchful eyes of the Crimson Talons. The docks were filled with a variety of figures - from what looked to be pirates exchanging words and booze to merchants with their hoods up ordering their crew to quickly get their merchendise down to the plaza where the main hub of trading was going on apart from the shops that were permanently on Perelates.

Hildr

“Wonderful!” Hildr threw their hands up in the air, trying their best to stop themselves from letting out a chain of delighted cackles. “I am ever so thankful for your kindness, Captain, Alreen. You have yourselves a worthy ship spirit’s favour on your hands.”

And as Watson-the-possessed-bear spoke, they spun around to beam at him. Another unsuspecting porter! “That would not at all be an issue. In fact, I would even thank you for doing so,” The ship spirit declared, exceedingly happy with all the teleport sites they had gained. Twirling in dizzying circles in the air, they imagined all the places they could explore and the food they could drool over, if not eat. That put a little bit of a downer on their mood. They shook their head. No matter! Sooner or later, the information would come in handy when the time to eat finally came.

Before Hildr could float themselves out of the ship interior with their eagerness to leave, they saw princess strangle Watson’s bear and spit out a pouch of clinking coins from their stomach. Without blinking—spirits didn’t actually need to; Hildr only did to keep with tangible-people customs—they stared at the stomach-mouth. It was actually kind of adorable; they wondered if there was any sort of technique where a corporeal mouth could be grafted onto an incorporeal spirit. Maybe that could be discussed with one of the science-loving fellows aboard. That Jake was one of them, wasn't he?

Then the wall melted and the spirit’s attention was again whisked away. Kai, who had unstuck himself from the ship wall, remarked about dramatics and Hildr almost winced. Almost. The fetchling couldn’t shame someone if they pretended they had no shame. The ship spirit nodded sagely.

As Captain, now a white haired man, allocated Hildr to Princess’ team of somewhat-intangible peoples, the ship spirit didn’t have the heart or attention-span to tell him that they would be switching between multiple ship chunks. So instead, they agreed and saluted like any proper crewmate with a brain, “Aye, aye, Captain!”

Watson Capulet.png

"Damn it all to hell," Watson exclaimed when Cel decided to have him tag along. Then he remembered he was in the presence of a noble and he quickly corrected it, "I m-mean, I'd be delighted! Absolutely ecstatic about the opportunity!"

Somehow out of that, the odd tinkerer named Kai and the war spirit Zek were somehow also going with them. Did there seriously need to be three bodyguards to guard one single princess? And were the three of them really a good fit for the job? The tinkerer suggested to refrain from being too open, but Watson had a feeling that he put more emphasis on having a bit of fun. And as for Zek, nobody who drank wine during the middle of the day could be sane. Watson didn't want to see what his drunken rampage would look. As for Watson himself, he doubted that he could do anything other than bonk someone on the head with the anchor. Oh well. Cel seemed like the type of person who would enjoy a bit of chaos. Perhaps Watson should stop being a party pooper and just join in with the vibes. He didn't have the opportunity to do that when he was alive. This was the time to take advantage of being dead.

With a start, Watson realized that Cel was no longer by his side. Instead, she was a few steps away, barfing up bags of gold.

"What?! What!?" Watson shouted in dismay, "What are you doing?! You're not a child, why did you eat coins!? Why did someone of your stature eat coins? Is it some new probiotic diet?"

This time at least he used one fancy word correctly. He had no idea what probiotics were. It sounded sophisticated, so Watson used it in his sentence.

Watson waddled over to the bags of coins and stared at them for a while. Then hesitantly, he levitated a few coins in the air. His teddy bear body was nearly perfect-- the word being nearly. There were a few holes, some of them from tripping over loose nails in the ship, others due to ripping himself on some of the more spiky plants in his room. Using the holes in his body, Watson began to stuff himself full of coins. It was hypocrisy at its best.

Finally, once he was full of money, Watson waddled over to the area where the anchor was cast. He fished it up and undid the rope that attached the ship to the anchor. Immediately, the ship began to drift away from the docks as there was nothing to ground it. Watson wasn't going to worry about it. Besides, Hildr gave him permission to take the anchor.

Watson departed his soul from the teddy bear he was possessing, allowing himself to return to the form of a student, his golden hair shining in the sun and his baby blue eyes glittering with adventure. He hoisted the anchor over his shoulder and tucked his teddy bear underneath his arm. Since he could only hold the anchor in his incorporeal form, he instead just made the teddy bear float, with the semblance of it being held.

"Well, if that's that, let's be off," Watson declared, "I'm going to stop by the dry cleaners along the way to get washed up. I probably stink."

The ship had drifted a distance away from the docks, but Watson paid it no heed as he simply floated over the distance onto land. He looked back, waiting for the lady in his care, Cel herself, as well as her other two bodyguards to follow along. He didn't worry about how they were going to get across to the docks-- they probably would find some way.

Celica Lune

At the sound of the clinking coins, Celica was quick to move towards the Princess with wide eyes at the sight of the coin pouring out of the abdominal mouth. "Amaziiing!" She squealed at the sight, very interesting for her. The banshee inched closer and giggled to herself, "Sharp teeth, very cute." She smiled before scooping up a few coins with her hands.

"Axel! Look at all these glistening gold." She ran to her good old partner in crime with a childlike glee in her tone. "Pretty princess is offering these fancy coins to use." She placed the coins in her pockets, missing the coldness of the metal.

Listening to Kai talk, Lune gasped momentarily at he mention of her name. "I'll make you the best bombs Kai! We can share since you also like them." She felt like she was in cloud nine at the idea of being able to make bombs, she couldn't wait to start and finish their shopping trips so she can go ahead and do what she wants most.

She wasn't really listening to Dhalia, but it'll be fine. She has Axel with her after all. "Ma'am yes, sir!" She saluted before skipping away and calling her group slowpokes. She went over to Watson and gave the big teddy bear a hard squeeze before leaving to the other way. "Let's go, let's go!"
