The Ink Shop
In a time when musical talent is hard to come by a group of producers got together. They tried to think of what would bring talent back into the industry. A competition? That was the first part of it. They made the announcement and it went nationwide. Send a video in of you passionately singing or playing your instrument of choice. Easy enough, right? That would explain why they got nearly 10,000 videos of hopeful youths.

The producers narrowed it down slowly over the next few months. Eventually they had it down to 18 people they wanted to see make it in the industry. The 18 were contacted, told to make another video. The 18 complied and they eventually narrowed it down to eight of the youths.

The eight were given the opportunity to come out to California for the next year and participate in a reality show competition. The one the producers picked at the end of the year would have fame beyond belief, they'd have anything and everything they wanted. The producers wanted America to see what true talent was.

--

Our story starts on the first day of the show. Enjoy!

Faye

This was the chance of a lifetime to save her mother from crippling debt, this was her chance to make a future for herself, a chance to make her dad proud. Faye chose to leave her sick mom for this opportunity. You'd think that the producers of the show would do her the favor of NOT riding with her 'future step brother'. Meaning her mom wanted to marry his dad but they weren't actually married. He wasn't her brother, either. A brother of hers would be motivated to better himself, not lay around all day smoking. It stunk up the upstairs where their rooms were.

"Thank you, sir." Faye shone a small smile at the driver of the car as she climbed out of the backseat. The bellhop was already taking care of the bags for them so all they had to worry about was finding the room. "Right. Might as well head up, right?" The 5 foot even silver haired girl spun around on her converse clad feet and walked to the front desk. "Hi, uh, Faye Jackson and Maximus Jones. Part of the, uh, Harmony reality show." Faye felt her cheeks heat as she stumbled over her words nervously. This was completely out of element. They were each handed a key card. "Thank you." A nervous smile flashed across her pretty pink lips before she walked to the elevator and got inside. Top floor of a Beverly Hills luxury hotel. Who would have thought a pair of kids from Detroit would end up here just because of a competition?

Faye didn't fit in already and she could tell. Everyone they passed looked so fancy and there she was in black high waist shorts and a pink crop top, a small pink backpack hanging off her shoulders. Her heart was pounding loudly in her ears as the elevator made its way to the top floor. Faye walked off the elevator onto the 10th floor and walked down a small hallway to 1003.

Once inside the suite her eyes widened. "This is fancy." Everything was sleek, modern, and looked expensive. There was a large sectional, a flat screen TV bigger than any she had ever seen, a rather large kitchen, a dining room, and from the looks of it a second floor. Maybe that's where the actual rooms were. "Holy crap..." Her bright blue eyes widened as she looked around at the impressive suite. "I still can't believe this." She walked to the back of the suite and slid open the sliding glass door leading out to the large balcony overlooking Beverly Hills. "This is so cool!" Faye hadn't smiled much since her dad passed. For the first time she had a big grin plastered on her face.

Rin

"Thank you." Rin bowed her head slightly towards the driver before the confident 5 foot 5 beauty stood from the car. She was in a fitted knee length red dress that complimented her thin figure, her hands in sleek black gloves. Her hands were well taken care of, as were most violinists. She pushed some of her silky raven black hair past her shoulder as she slid her black violin case onto her back before making her way inside the luxury hotel. Luxury was something she was used to at this point so it wasn't as impressive so much as part of her lifestyle. "Nakamura, Rin." She stood there with her resting slight frown on her face as she waited for the key card. "Thank you." With that said Rin's black heels tapped against the marble of the lobby until she got into the elevator.

Once to the top floor she walked off and made her way down the hall. They were going to be filmed as soon as they stepped through that door. That was an odd thing to her, but whatever got her closer to the prize. She slid the key card and walked into the gorgeous suite and she noticed two others had already arrived. "Oh, other people. You must be the other contestants." She flashed a small smile at the green haired boy before she glanced out the glass to see the silver haired girl. "My name is Rin, it's a pleasure to meet the two of you." Was the girl wearing a pink crop top? She was oddly adorable. Rin fought the urge to bow at the two of them, it was a hard habit to break.

Maximus

This was already an out of this world experience. Maximus had never left Michigan so flying to California was weird. The plane hurt his ears and he had to sit next to Faye. It was awkward around her but he did his best not to pay any mind to it. In the last few years he and his dad had lived with 6 other women, his dad always tried to force a friendship with the girlfriends kids. After 3 or 4 times it got old so now he just chose to ignore them. After this he hoped they wouldn't have to see each other again, he'd go off and be famous and never have to go back to that house again. That was the goal here, a fresh start.

The car ride felt like forever. They finally got to the hotel and got out to get their key cards. Maximus looked around curiously as his 6'2" figure walked across the lobby to the elevator. The elevator carried the pair to the top floor and their feet carried them the rest of the way. Once inside Faye started oohing and aahing over everything and honestly? He couldn't blame her. They didn't have all of this fancy stuff back at home. Would a fancy kid have messy flippy green hair and smoke? No, probably not.

"You're going to end up a meme at the end of this, Faye." He turned around when the door opened behind him to a gorgeous girl in a red dress. "Oh. Hi." He shone her a cheeky grin and gave her a small wave. "Yeah we're contestants. I'm Maximus and that girl drooling over there about how cool this place is is Faye. I uh, I play the guitar." He glanced at her back and noticed the out of place gloves. "Violinist I assume?"

Flinn

Flinn's parents were being very understanding with this whole 'contest' thing and thought it would be good publicity for him. They would not let him ride a public plane though, so Flinn flew in on his parents private jet to appease them. The car met him at the airport and escorted him and his bags to the hotel. The whole time Flinn quietly sat in the back seat alone with his thoughts and hopes for the future. May everything go well and may the best win. That was what this competition was about. Flinn was confident in his abilities but if others out there were better then him then they deserved to win. He would gladly shake the winners hand and congratulate them sincerely. This wasn't about winning, it was about giving people confidence and find love in music.

"Thank you very much, good sir." With a handsome smile the 6'6" lanky man stepped from the car. He straightened the brown jacket he had pulled over his white t-shirt, smoothing out his shirt so he looked presentable. His long blonde hair blew with the wind as he walked inside, his hand smoothing the gorgeous locks back down. "Flinn Winthrop my dearest," he flashed the young lady that handsome smile of his. She turned red as she handed him the key. "Thank you." With that said Flinn made his way to the suite.

Being filmed was nothing new to Flinn, he had done several interviews with news stations about his charities and volunteer work, MTV even toured their home years ago. He wasn't used to being on camera 24/7 though, the thought was a little unsettling. People could watch them whenever thanks to streaming. It was worth the experience, right?

"Oh, others. Hello." He walked in just as they were doing introductions. "Flinn Winthrop, pleasure to meet you all." He flashed them that charming smile and observed each of them. A violinist, presumably. The gloves, the case. She had a regal presence about her. The boy had green hair and surely played something loud. And the girl on the balcony was small, women like her tended to sing. "I am a pianist." Flinn noticed in the corner of the room was a large piano and he felt a smile spread on his face. "Well now that is just perfect."

Sutton

Sutton and Ky had found some subleasers and trusted their cat with her parents before they shipped off from Las Vegas to Beverly Hills. It was already a change of pace for sure, just from looking out the window of their van. It was only a five hour drive for them and they decided to make a day of it. They left in the middle of the night and stopped at late night diners and truck stops on the way. When day light hit and they were finally in Beverly Hills, Sutton couldn't help but laugh as they pulled into the hotel valet. "Toto we're not in Kansas anymore." She let out a loud snort and unloaded her bags from the back of the run down van that was covered in graffiti. The poor kid working the valet looked at her like she was insane.

"Here kid." Sutton tossed him the keys with a wink before slapping two twentys on the podium and waving him off. Sutton knew her appearance made people make assumptions, especially in this area. The 5'8 pale girl covered in black ink and piercings didn't exactly fit in with the Paris Hilton types. Today her midnight hair was pulled into a high pony with her side-swept bangs left hanging across her face. Her ears had giant black plugs in them and her makeup was dramatically dark. Her outfit consisted of a pair of shredded black jean shorts with fishnets and a Ramones shirt on top. "Come on Ky." Sutton reached out with her coffin shaped nails and grabbed Ky by the hand before yanking him with her to the front desk.

"Kyo and Sutton Myers. For the show." The woman behind the counter swallowed and handed them their keys with a harsh side eye. "Yikes man, if your not careful people will think you're not a good desk lady." She snatched the keys and rolled her eyes before turning on the giant heel of her boots and heading for their room. Sutton wasn't new to the land of luxury but even she had to admit this hotel seemed uppity and extra, especially for a reality show.

Once in the suite they found a group of people slowly forming. "Well well well look at this crew already." Sutton finally let go of Ky and made her way over to the group, tuning into the introductions taking place. "I'm Sutton, Sutton Myers. I play the bass."

Ky

Ky was still on the fence about this entire situation, ever since his parents passed he wasn't sure he ever wanted singing to be anything more than a hobby. It was something he enjoyed and truly loved but it was also an industry that he associated with being so controlling of your life. Being any form of famous meant that your life was controlled by those who managed you or your fans, he didn't think he wanted that. But Sutton did and he owed her. So when she wanted them to try out together, he didn't say no. And then they both made it through both rounds of try outs. So here he was. Five hours into the van trip to Beverly Hills with Sutton screaming to every emo throwback song of their childhood in the drivers seat.

Finally they got to the hotel and he watched silently as Sutton spoke to the valet while he helped load the bags on the trolley for the bell boy. "Yeah yeah woman calm down. I would have found the door on my own accord." Ky grumbled as he was pulled towards the front desk. Rolling his eyes as Sutton spoke to the woman behind the counter, "I apologize ma'am, we've tried to get her committed but they just wont listen." Then he was being pulled away again.

They stepped foot into the suite and Ky took a moment to take it all in. It was a lot. Almost too much for a reality tv show but he did assume that 8 people would be sharing this space. "Sutton just please do-" dont abandon me. He spoke as soon as she let go and ran off. Ky loved Sutton, she was family, but man she was a loose canon and he wasn't exactly fond of social interaction. "Great." Ky stood for a moment and took a few deep breaths. The male was feeling uncomfortable already and Sutton's idea of a TV ready outfit wasn't helping. The 6 foot tall male liked to usually stick to plain clothes that he was comfortable in but today Sutton made him dress up a bit. He was wearing a pair of gray skinny jeans with chains on them and a button up black shirt with a chain necklace on. His shaggy black hair was pushed back a little and he had the smallest bit of guy liner on.

"Why are you so loud?" Ky joined the group and glared over at Sutton before sighing and giving a wave and gentle smile to the group, "Hey, I'm Kyo Davis-Myers but please just call me Ky. I'm a vocalist, at least thats what they tell me."

Bethany

Summer had been stressful, between working full time at the daycare and constantly hiding from her family Beth had a lot on her plate. The money she made from her job went towards paying the rent on a storage unit that she kept her drum kit hidden in for practice. Thankfully being the youngest and last to leave the nest meant her older siblings were all living their own lives, her dad was also pretty busy so it was just avoiding her mom. Which was something she had been doing for years now... but now it felt worse. Beth was the last baby to leave and it was clear her mom was struggling with it. But this was something Beth had to do. Even if it wasn't for the competition she would be leaving for Notre Dame! Which is still where everyone thought she was going...

Today was the day. Beth said goodbye to the whole crew as they dropped her off at the airport, supposedly on her way to college. No one had the slightest clue that their 5'5 blue eyed little girl was actually on her way to compete in a nation wide talent search as one of the top musicians in the country. Especially not as one who plays the drums... well metal on the drums. Even when Beth told her few friends they thought she was joking. Beth didn't look like that type of girl. She was short, sandy blonde hair, blue eyes and sunkissed skin. She was a band nerd who also ran track and kept the top GPA in her class. She often wore soft colors and plain modest clothes. Heck! Beth was the only daughter of a preacher!

Once in Beverly Hills, Beth got ready for the day in the airport bathroom before catching a cab to the hotel. She was wearing her long sandy colored hair in a fishtail braid that swept over one shoulder. An orange shirt with her high schools mascot on the front and her lucky number 11 on the back. A pair of plain bootcut jeans was on her short legs and a pair of worn in cowboy boots on her feet. Comfy, modest, confident. The cab ride was short but it was enough to make her nerves climb back up her spine. Was she good enough for this? Would everyone be nice?

"Bethany Thompson." Beth checked in, her Texas accent twanging as she spoke. "Thank ya ma'am." She found her way to the elevator and made her way to the suite. Inside though she nearly passed out from shock. This place was insanely nice! Suddenly she felt really stupid in her boots. It seemed as if everything around her was glittering with wonder as she stood in it like a fish out of water. Further inside the room were some people and she swallowed hard as she made her way over to them. They were all introducing themselves. Some of them looked kind of scary but seemed nice enough she supposed.... you didn't really get a lot of diversity in Beth's private school. Especially not colored hair and tattoos.... "Howdy. My name is Bethany, I'm a drummer. It's nice to meet y'all!"

Cameron

Cam had quite the long flight from Boston to Beverly Hills, most of which was spent with his headphones in his ears and completely zoning out to the music around him. This was the first time Cam was flying or really traveling at all really. A lot of his childhood vacations and family trips were spent in the surrounding areas more than really heading out there. With a family as large as his it was hard but hey they were Italian, there was a lot of them.

In Beverly Hills he was escorted to a cab set up by the show and ushered off to the hotel where his eyes about popped out of his head. All this for a reality show? Wasn't this sort of thing usually in some place that looked plain on the outside but was amazing inside? If this place followed the trend of the inside being nicer than he was in for even more shock. The 6'4 tall male ducked out of the cab and grabbed his suitcase from the trunk before it was quickly taken from him by a hotel worker. "O-Oh thank you." He smiled earnestly and gave a small wave before heading inside to get checked in. The grimacing woman behind the counter gave him his key and shooed him away quickly as if someone had already put her in a terrible mood.

"Well here goes." Cam stepped into the elevator and straightened his glasses and his white button down that hugged his body. His shirt was tucked into a pair of brown corduroy slacks and he was wearing a black belt as well as black bowler shoes. His wavy brown locks were tucked behind his ears and the arms of his glasses. He looked like a teacher honestly which he suppose made sense.

Inside the suite was exactly as he assumed; more impressive than the outside. Everything glittered and gleamed. It all seemed so extravagant. In his life he had seen things like this in photos from his father but never in person. "Hello everyone!" Cam walked over to the group and gave a smile full of beautiful pearly whites, "I'm Cam, and if I count correctly it appears that I'm the last to show."

Faye

Faye could feel her cheeks heat for a second. They were on a reality tv show now and that kind of slipped her mind with everything going on today. A meme though? That was a bit of an overstretch. Soon enough Rin came in and introduced herself. She was tall and beautiful and she looked like she belonged in the fancy hotel. "Nice to meet you." Faye gave her a small smile before looking at the gorgeous blonde boy that came in. He had a charming aura and personality to him and he looked right at home here just like Rin did. Were Maximus and Faye chosen by mistake? If everything else were put together and perfect like these two then they were in for a long year.

Suddenly she perked up when the new pair joined them. They were tatted and pierced and looked like several of her friends from home and that made her feel a little better. Suddenly she didn't feel so out of place. Despite Faye graduating from a private school Detroit was full of a wide range of people. Faye was the cheerful girl friends with everyone type. She could do this, just two more people left to meet.

Next was a sweet looking girl who had a Texas accent. She was a drummer surprisingly, she looked like a sweet girl that would sing. The last person to join them was Cam, and he had a big smile plastered on his face. The smile was so big she couldn't help but crack a small smile. "Faye Jackson, nice to meet you guys. I don't know about you guys but I'm itching to see the bedroom situation going on upstairs." She giggled quietly before running up the stairs. The upstairs was a long hallway that had two doors on the left and two doors on the right. Assuming all the bedrooms were the same she walked into the door to her right and looked around at the large room. The two beds next to each other were large and plush looking, the large closet on the wall opposite of the beds and a sitting area right before the balcony.

There was a door to what she assumed to be a bathroom and Faye walked through it. The bathroom was large, probably bigger than her living room back home. Everything was marble and gorgeous. There was a large shower and even a tub with jets in it and twin sinks on the marble counter. This place had it all. Would this be their life when they won? "This is insane." A door was on the opposite side of the bathroom, probably attaching to the other room.

Rin

The group of people was an interesting one. Colored hair, tattoos, piercings? This was far from her norm. Rin went to cocktail parties, galas, and other classic events. Rin was considered to be a socialite when in all reality she was just trying to make her parents proud. That's all she ever did. She wanted to do this to make herself happy for the first time in her life. This was just a stepping stone towards her goal, it was only a year. She could survive this. "Oh, yes. I am a violinist." Rin slid off her black violin case just as Faye ran up the stairs. "Not a half bad idea, I'll join you."

Rin's heels tapped against the stairs as she made her way up the stairs. Faye was already in one of the rooms looking around so Rin smiled to herself and walked to the other room at the end of the hall. The room was a carbon copy of the other room. Slowly she walked to the bed closest to the balcony and laid her violin case on the soft bed with a small exhale. Her chocolate eyes glanced up at the ceiling and noticed the cameras in the corner. They were even in the bedroom? The bathroom had to be the only safe place from them. "Interesting."

Gently Rin opened the bathroom door and looked over the ceiling. "The cameras are everywhere but the bathroom. Make sure you don't undress in your room at all." With that said she exited the bathroom and sat on her bed in order to take off the heels.

Maximus

This group looked fun. Despite there being rich kids there it didn't seem like they'd have many issues. Faye and Maximus wouldn't have to deal with each other much hopefully with all these other people here. And staying here for a whole year? That's the longest he's stayed at one place since his mom died. The thought made him crack a smile. Hopefully this year would go slow. "Nice to meet you guys." Soon Faye was leaping up the stairs and he gave a small eye roll. Did she try to act this cheerful or did it come natural to her? Either way it got on his nerves. "Right, rooms. Good idea."

He followed up the staircase and went to the room at the end of the hall. Once inside he couldn't help but grin at how nice everything was. Even the bathroom was over the top! He laid back on the bed closest to the door and stretched out. He looked over at the camera and raised his brows. They were going to watch them sleep too? How creepy.

Flinn

The group was an odd mixture, there was no denying that at all. Honestly? It made him feel determined. Anyone in this group was worthy of winning the title and that fired him up. All his life Flinn was consistently on top and won everything, he was tired of not working for anything. He wanted to be pushed and strive for the best. This would be an extraordinary year. "This year is going to be great guys, I can feel it." Flinn was practically seeping with his excitement. What would they be facing together this next year? All they knew was the winner would be the next star of America.

Flinn followed upstairs and went to the first door to the left. The room was quaint and looked quite comfortable, same as the bathroom. The camera in the bedroom was a little odd, but didn't shows like big brother and other reality shows have those too? This would feel normal to the group soon enough.

He walked to the balcony and looked out to the hills and other homes of Beverly Hills and took a deep breath in. The air felt different here than it did in New York.

Cam

Cam ended up following as the others up towards the bedrooms and followed Flinn into the first room on the left. His choice was made on first quick impressions obviously but Flinn seemed a lot more easy to handle than the other kid. "I have to agree man. Even if this becomes hell, at least it will be luxurious hell." He gave a small chuckle before flopping into the empty bed and staring at the ceiling. This would be a good experience.

--

Quickly after their arrival they were ushered into the living room by the hosts voice over some intercom system in the suite. Once there they discovered a TV that held an image of the television host of the show. They were given a quick run down of the way things would work. Each week they were expected to complete a piece for judging purposes. Sometimes these would be solo, sometimes they would be groups or partners. This week was the challenge of coming together to complete a cohesive piece. Sometimes they would also have added challenges which would be vastly different from each other each time.

--

That night they all just decided to relax but the next morning they would be concentrating on starting their project. Cam was naturally an early bird thanks to his day job. He woke up at about 6 am and quick shower before getting ready for the day. Today he opted for a more relaxed outfit and wore a pair of black tract pants and a large gray crew neck sweater. Downstairs he started a pot of coffee and made a bagel before heading out to the balcony for his simple breakfast.

Sutton

Sutton had ended up taking the room with Rin due to no other thing rather than that was the room she walked into first. Honestly all the girls seems fine enough though so it didn't really matter to her. She was probably the one that they were trying to avoid.

The first night was an adjustment. The room was actually pretty similar to the one she had in her parents house so that wasn't the issue. The issue was that Sutton was a party girl who was used to not sleeping and running around the Las Vegas Strip all night. So when everyone started to fall asleep she found herself laying in bed staring at the ceiling for hours. It wasn't until she heard rustling downstairs and smelled coffee that she rolled over to look at the clock and realized it was already past 6 in the morning. "Oh fuck..." Great. Sutton sat up and looked at herself in the mirror across the room. Why did she do this to herself?

Sutton collected herself and made her way to the bathroom, brushing her teeth and taking a quick shower before getting dressed. Today she didn't do any makeup, too much work after a night of no sleep. She pulled her long black hair into a bun while it was still wet and dressed in a pair of black and white checkered leggings with a giant Thrasher T-shirt. Once dressed she made her way downstairs were she peered onto the balcony and found Cam, "Ah early bird gets the worm eh? Mind if I steal a cup of that coffee you made?" Without really waiting for an answer she made her way to the living room and poured a cup before returning to the balcony.

"You people that can get up and look at the sun like it's your friend are certified psychos I think." Sutton sat and sipped the dark liquid while glaring at the sun that was still rising into the sky.

Ky

Ky was not thrilled about the concept of having to be a group effort sometimes, not because he wasn't a team player but because honestly he was planning on purposely doing badly at this competition. He made that decision quickly after meeting the others. He felt guilty even being here.... at first he told himself it was okay because it was for Sutton but now he realized all he was doing was taking someone elses shot at their dreams. He was to scared to hurt his friends feelings that he ended up doing something insanely jealous. But now he was here and he couldn't back out, but he could make sure he wasn't any real competition to the others.

Ky had ended up roommate to the boy with green hair, Max. Seemed a bit moody but hell so was Ky.

The following morning Ky woke up with a groan to the sound of the shower. He had been able to fall asleep fairly early despite the stark difference from his usual schedule. Even with getting enough sleep he still didn't want to be awake this early. The last time he woke up before noon was.... well to drive here... but besides that.... high school? Maybe?

Once whoever was in the shower was done Ky took his turn and got ready for the day, wearing a long black t-shirt and light wash skinny jeans that were much more his style than the day before. Downstairs he raised his eyebrow at Sutton and Cam out on the balcony. "Did you not sleep? And are you drinking coffee without Kahlua?" Ky put his hand against his heart and gave her a fake sob, "They grow up so fast into poorly functioning but kind of growing up adults it's just insane!" He rolled his eyes and walked over to their large kitchen and began rummaging for food. Eggs. Safe and easy.

Bethany

Bethany was feeling really Rapunzel in Tangled about this whole thing and it caused her to have some killer nightmares. Every time she was under stress she had nightmares of what happened to her at Sunday school and honestly she was feeling pretty terrible about lying to her family about college. But they would never understand this opportunity. Her father thought anything that wasn't the church choir was "devil music"! Eventually she would get over it but night one was a rough one.

The next morning after their introduction to the show was a little rough but Beth was determined to make the best of their first full day! She woke up and waited for her turn in the shower. She took her time getting ready, her sandy blonde hair was dried and left in gentle waves that reached her mid back. The makeup look for the day was her typical bare face with some light eyeliner with mascara and pink lip gloss. Her outfit was a pair of boyfriend jeans that were cinched at her waist with a skinny brown belt and she wore a sunflower babydoll cropped shirt on top. Once she was completely ready she bounced down the steps, simply showering had already put her in a better mood.

"Morning y'all!" The small girl chimed from the bottom of the stairs before making her way into the kitchen where she found Ky cooking. "Eggs? Just eggs?" She sounded almost hurt. Growing up with 7 football playing older brothers meant every meal was a feast. "Oh heck let me help ya okay?" She went to the fridge and started yanking out ingredients left and right, cooking for lots of people was a hidden talent, she loved to help her mom in the kitchen. It was her way of giving back. "So I'm thinking, eggs, pancakes, sausage and toast. I'll also cut up some fruit."

Rin

Writing songs every week? Fine. Writing songs with other people? Also fine. But weren't they supposed to be competition? It didn't seem right to get all friendly and close with each other when in the end their goal was to beat everyone here. Oh well, she'd worry about that tomorrow. Soon the group of potential stars went to their rooms. Sleep had never really been an issue for Rin. Her body was usually so exhausted at the days end she usually just crashed. Today was no different, the plane ride from DC to California was tiring.

5 in the morning Rin's eyes opened to the sound of an alarm. Time to head down to the gym. Rin grabbed her pre packed gym bag and quickly changed in the bathroom into a pair of black leggings, a tight red tank, and black and red sneakers. Her long black hair was tossed into a tight ponytail and she turned on her bluetooth headphones before she walked to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. Quickly she ran down the stairs to the gym to do her daily routine.

It was about 6 by the time she finished. Rin took a shower down in the ladies locker room and finished getting ready for the day there. Navy blue shirt with ruffled sleeves and tight black jeans paired with navy heels. Her makeup was light like always save for the black winged eyeliner.

By the time she walked back into the suite most everyone was up. "Good morning all." Rin made her way across the kitchen and grabbed a banana, a handful of grapes, and another bottle of water for a light breakfast. She ran through her blown dried hair and leaned against the counter as she watched Bethany prepare breakfast for everyone. "Bethany do you come from a big family?" Watching her work was pretty impressive, it had always just been Rin and her parents back home.

Faye

Was anyone else nervous about their weekly assignment? Faye knew she had a nice voice and all but writing and composing? That wasn't her forte. Maybe it was a good thing they were doing this as a group at first? She'd learn the ropes. And thankfully she ended up with Bethany as a roommate, she seemed down to earth and bubbly. Unfortunately neither one of them slept too great. Bethany tossed and turned throughout the night and Faye just couldn't sleep, her mind kept drifting back home. Her mom was going to be starting chemo again soon. Faye and her dad were there for everything last time, now she only had her boyfriend. Guilt weighed on her every time she managed to fall asleep. At least the bed was comfortable.

She waited for everyone to get done with the bathroom before she took a quick shower. Faye didn't wear much makeup save for mascara to make her long lashes pop. Today however she applied some concealer to hide the sleepless bags under her eyes. Her outfit for the day consisted of black shorts and a forest green off the shoulder short sleeved shirt and black flip flops.

Once she got downstairs she could already smell breakfast. "It smells awesome guys." Faye flashed a smile at everyone as she walked into the kitchen. "I'll help with the dishes, I'm not the best at cooking." Or writing songs. Or being there for her mom. That last one felt like someone punched her in the gut. Maybe she should just go home? No...her mom told her to go do this. She had to make her proud, she had to make her dad proud by at least making it to the end of this.

Maximus

Maximus slept like a rock. From the long plane ride to the three hour time change he was exhausted. Unlike Faye he wasn't worried about their home life. Honestly? He hoped he'd never have to go back. That life wasn't for him and he was tired of it. He stayed in bed a little later than his roommate Ky did. This was way too early for him, he much preferred to roll out of bed right about noon. He supposed he should get up and work with everyone on the song though. That and he couldn't fall back asleep.

With a heavy sigh Maximus stood from his bed and took a quick shower. He tossed his wet shoulder length faded green locks into a tight bun on the back of his head before tossing on a pair of black jeans and an avenged sevenfold t-shirt. With that done he headed down to the kitchen to see everyone up. Well, save for the blonde rich kid. "Sup guys." He sat down at the bar in the kitchen and raised his eyebrow curiously. "Man are you cooking for an army? I've never seen so much food for breakfast." Usually they just fended for themselves back home.

"So what is everyone's musical style? We'll have to agree on something for a solid piece." Although they were amateurs they were here to be transformed into stars. Well, at least one of them were going to be a star. They might as well have a properly composed song.

Flinn

As much as Flinn wanted to sleep he had too much on his mind. Composing a song for 8 people was going to prove to be a challenge. About half way through the night he gave up on the broken sleep he was getting and hopped in the shower. He tossed his hair in a loose bun, tossed on a pair of brown slacks and a white t-shirt with a brown jacket. Quietly he headed downstairs to the grand piano in the living room. He found some blank sheet music and slowly began to piece together a section for his piano part. It was hard to do without everyone but at least he had an idea of what he wanted to play, something fast paced and energetic.

Soon enough people were headed downstairs to the kitchen. Flinn was too engrossed in the music he had pieced together. It wasn't until people started to talk did it pull Flinn from his trance. "Oh, good morning everyone." By now his hair was dry so he took it out of the ponytail holding it together, his hair falling smoothly past his shoulders. He stood from the leather plus bench he sat at and made his way over to the kitchen. "I've been thinking about the song and, honestly, I think it should be more energetic than anything. I don't think a slow song would work for this size of a group."

Sutton

Sutton gave a fake laugh at Ky as he spoke, finishing her cup of coffee quickly as she heard more and more commotion inside. It didn't hurt that the smells coming from the kitchen were near heavenly. "Well well well this is a new sight." She re-filled her coffee mug as she eyed Ky and Beth in the kitchen. "You get around all these cute girls and suddenly you're willing to cook? I'm absolutely hurt." Sutton gasped dramatically and took a seat on the counter out of the way of the cooking.

"I'm with Faye, I'm down to help clean up every day if we keep getting this star treatment."

Two of the boys brought up the song and Sutton leaned back against the cabinets a little, humming to herself as she listened and thought. "I play in a pop punk band. Ky sings in the band too. But it's not like we've never played other stuff either." She shrugged and sipped her coffee, "I do have to agree though. It's juvenile but energetic songs would be easier to meld it all better too. Especially since we'll be having a mix of classic and electric instruments. At least I think it would be, I don't write too often outside my own part."

Sutton hopped off the counter and began pulling down plates and mugs for everyone.

Ky

Ky raised a brow as Beth offered to help but didn't tell her no, he simply just took the additional eggs she got out and continued cooking for the masses he supposed. Behind him they were gaining quite the gathering and he supposed it was finally time to at least be slightly social. "Morning to you all as well." He spoke lowly and didn't turn his attention away from the pan in front of him, piling scrambled eggs onto a plate as batches finished cooking.

On the counter to the side of him Sutton popped up and started being sarcastic and he simply rolled his eyes. "Well at home I have a troll to deal with so excuse me if feeding mere humans is easier than you." When he was finished he turned off the burner and continued to listen. Flinn and Max brought up some valid questions but before Ky could speak for himself Sutton was already on it.

"Sutton is acting as if shes not classically trained as well. She simply wants to play something more upbeat." Ky gave her a glance out of the corner of his eye. They were eachothers best friend and worst enemy sometimes. "Though I would have to agree with Flinn. As far as style goes I really think we should veer towards main stream styles and sound." Ky took a plate from Sutton and began filling it with food before continuing, "Not to offend anyone here before we can all really share but any form of pop would be really easy to combine all our sounds." Once his plate was full he leaned back against the counter and took a few bites, suddenly going silent. Though that was kind of his style, only talking when something was to be said.

Cam

Cam listened with a chuckle as Sutton and Ky bickered out on the balcony. He had noticed yesterday that there seemed to be a few pre-exisiting relationships before people came here so he couldn't help but be curious about the others as well. Ky went inside and Sutton followed soon after and Cam could smell the scents of a home cook breakfast. Suddenly his bagel and coffee wasn't doing the job anymore.

Cam grabbed his cup and headed inside and found everyone in full motion. "Good morning everyone, I hope everyone slept well." He set his mug in the dishwasher before leaning against the counter and watching the cooks while listening to the conversation. "Oh speaking of families." Cam began as Faye asked Beth about her family, "I was wondering what was up with everyone here. I mean we kind of spoke last night but we never really talked about it talked about it." As he spoke he heard Ky complain at Sutton and he raised a brow, "See clearly you two know each other, but I wasn't positive how. That's awesome though that you have someone you know here! It has to make things a lot easier I bet."

The others were also talking about their styles and Cam shrugged, "I play the electric keyboard but I play a lot of jazz style music more than anything I guess."

Bethany

Beth hummed as she moved around this kitchen, cooking was comforting because it meant good food and good food was comforting. "Huh?" She was pulled out of her mindless humming when Faye spoke. "Oh! Yeah! My family is pretty big. I have seven older brothers plus myself and my parents. So I help my mom cook a lot, at least when the boys are home. I'm the youngest so I was kind of the last one to leave the nest. Plus my dad is a preacher so we have a lot of events and stuff." As she spoke she trailed off, guilt taking over again. At first it felt nice to speak about her family but when all her lies sunk in she felt terrible again. When Max gave her a bit of a comment she smiled and rolled her eyes, "Well there sure are a lot of people here right? It would be rude to cook for myself. Cool shirt by the way." Her accent rung out as she spoke before turning back to the stove.

As others joined, Beth was thankful for the casual conversations around her. She tuned in when Cam mentioned family, "Right, you two seem close." Beth nodded at Ky and gave a small wink, "Do I sense romance or am I completely off base?" She chuckled and finished cooking before looking at Faye, "And you and Max know each other right? I couldn't help but notice that he introduced you yesterday while you were on the balcony."

Beth got a plate and joined the others eating, when the brought up style and opinions she smiled sheepishly. "I play metal."
