Sutton Myers

22

Las Vegas, Nevada

Electric Bass

Sutton grew up around music and rock, her mother was a talent scout for a concert venue on The Strip and her father a bad-ass in the rock world. A lot of people take one look at her and assume from her appearance that her childhood was hard or rough simply because they're ignorant but her childhood was amazing. Sutton grew up next door to her best friend Ky and his parents who were like her second parents. They were always encouraged to follow their dreams and express themselves but were also always brought up to be respectful and responsible. They were good kids who liked loud music! It wasn't until Ky's parents passed away in an accident that things changed. Ky moved in with them, it was bittersweet. Sutton and him remained close but his view on the world changed and the two of them grew kind of jaded as a pair. Now they still live together in a shit apartment near the Strip and work at a bar together where their band plays.

While having famous parents means that if Sutton really wanted a place in the industry she could have it, she didnt want to ride on her fathers coattails forever. Winning would mean proving herself as more than just Metal Myers' daughter and more than just a good bar band. If she wins her all time goal is to use her deal to take her band to the top with her.

Sutton is sarcastic and goofy, most of the time joking even if it does sound kind of mean. She likes to have a good time and enjoys being the center of attention.

Kyo "Ky" Davis-Myers

23

Las Vegas, Nevada

Vocalist

Ky grew up a happy only child who lived next door to all his favorite people, his best friend Sutton and her parents who were friends and bandmates of Suttons father. His mother was a singer, father a guitarist. Ky never got the hang of the guitar, basic chords but thats about it. But singing? Man the boy was talented. Acoustic rock, classical, classic rock. All of it the kid would sing. He was a kid with good grades and lots of friends until he hit his thirteenth birthday. That was the day that everyone sat at his house waiting for his parents to come back from a TV interview. It was the day that Ky got to learn his parents were in the hospital thanks to the TV rather than a phone call. It was also the day they died. After that he got really reserved... he hated the industry for a while. Blamed it and himself for them dying. If they hadn't been famous, if they hadn't been rushing to get to his party... maybe they would still be around. Sutton's parents adopted him as per the will left behind by his late parents. They were great to him but he couldn't help but always wonder what life would have been like if they were still around...

It took a while for Ky to get out of his funk of hating music but Sutton helped him learn it was his best way to heal. she pulled him out of the house and into the shittiest apartment they could afford from their bar tending jobs and made him start singing again. Then they started a band... They had a decent following. A following that pushed them into this show. Ky was terrified to be a part of something like this... he wasn't sure he ever wanted to be more famous than a local punk band. But he would try, after all Sutton and her family did for him he could buck up and do this with her.

Ky is quiet and reserved and responsible, basically Sutton's handler most of the time. He enjoys intelligent conversation without being a pompous ass.

Faye Alexandria Jackson
19
Detroit, Michigan
Vocals (mainly sings pop or anything with a fun beat)

Faye, despite her background and home life, remained a bright and cheerful girl. She always looks on the bright side no matter what the circumstance. She's described as a caring girl with a big heart, she would give the shirt off her own back for anyone in need. Faye is big into volunteering at not only local women's shelters but animal shelters as well. Some describe her as a saint. She doesn't get along too well with her moms boyfriend or his son, though.

Where should I begin? Faye's life hasn't always been a struggle. She was the only child born to Alexandria and Thomas Jackson. Faye had always been described as a daddy's girl. They spent all their time together; whether they were fixing a car or singing to his records or the radio they always did it together. They weren't rich by any means but they lived a decent life. Her mother was a nurse at a local hospital and her father made cars and Faye attended a private school to give her a proper education.

When Faye was 15 her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer and was unable to work. They survived the grueling chemo and radiation. After nearly a year the cancer went into remission, but her mom was never the same after that. Faye hoped things could go back to normal though.

Unfortunately things would never go back to normal. At 18, right before graduation, a freak accident struck the family. Her father was putting the finishing touches on a car and after a malfunction with the machine holding the car it fell and crushed him. By the time they got the car off of him he was already gone. Faye felt numb and all alone after her fathers death. Her mother was still sickly and struggling to pay bills after the death of her husband.

Not even six months after her father passed her mother moved a new man and their son into their home. Faye protested to no avail. Two months later, after barely speaking to her mother, the cancer came back. Faye was already working two jobs to help out on top of going to college to help the family, there was no way she could work more. That's when she seen the advertisement for The Search for Harmony. What did she have to lose?

Doing this she hopes to win the money and the prize of being the next star. It was hard to leave her mom but her father did everything for the family, Faye wanted to be just like him. He was her hero.

Bethany Thompson

19

Houston, Texas

Drummer

Bethany was the youngest child of a preacher and his stay at home wife, she was also the only girl out of 8 children. Needless to say, Beth was sheltered growing up. All of her older brothers played football and graduated with honors. They kept boys away from their little sister and kept her safe. They all went to church together every Sunday like the perfect little family. Beth was in the marching band, drum line. Always doing well in school. Always listening and obeying. On the surface she was happy, pretty and popular. Under that she was dying to leave Houston. Living in a family of perfect people while lying to them feels terrible. When Beth was 13 the Sunday school teacher took particular interest in her.... and none of her family thought it strange. But it was strange.... he did things that Beth knew was wrong but she was told her family would hate her if she told about how she was impure. That was when Beth stopped believing in God. That was when Beth asked to stop going to her fathers church because she "wanted to do the teen church group at school" when in reality she was hiding in the band room and listening to the rock music she wasn't allowed to at home. Beth loved her family but their ideas of what was evil were naive and mislead, true evil was at their church. When Beth graduated high school as the valedictorian and was given multiple scholarships to colleges around the country she set her heart far away on Notre Dame. At least that was the plan until she saw the ad for Search for Harmony.

Beth loved playing the drums in marching band but she discovered using the actual drum set was so much more fun, and calming. And she was damn good at it.

So she tried out... and got passed the first round... then the second. Then Beth made the bold choice to take a semester off from university and to lie to her family one last time.

Beth wants to prove that what she loves isn't bad and that she can make her own life without needing to sacrifice her own interests. If she were to win she could make a living on playing music... if not she goes back to school for an education.

Beth is a judgmental inquisitive girl who is mostly nice to others. She is basically your typical high school popular girl. As long as you ignore the fact that she is super into metal music. She enjoys people in general although she is timid around older men due to her past.

Rin Nakamura
20
Washington D.C.
Violinist

Rin is a very serious, no-nonsense girl. She is hardworking and dedicated to whatever she puts her mind to. A certified genius and the daughter of a Japanese diplomat the girl had many expectations to live up to. She had no time for playing, laughing, or fun. That was her life, though. She thoroughly enjoyed studying, learning new things, and playing her violin. She doesn't care much for socializing, so the whole reality TV thing isn't quite her cup of tea.

No Japanese family wanted a girl, not at first. The first born was meant to be a son to carry on the family name, the second was to be a girl so everyone could look out for her and set her on the right path. Unfortunately for Rin she was the first, and only, born. Her parents couldn't have anymore children. That left Rin all alone to carry out her fathers high expectations. No fun, no friends, no play. School was easier than home.

By the time she was old enough for school they had moved to DC. She already spoke 6 languages so attending an American private school wasn't a set back by any means. By first grade she was reading at a college level, it wasn't long before she became a 'genius'. Her father was very proud of that. Rin? She didn't care much. The only thing she really cared about was playing the violin. She poured out her heart into the music she played for hours on end.

By 20 years of age she already had a doctorate in chemistry, and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She pretty much lived to meet her fathers high expectations, as most children did in strict Japanese households. She had her music and she could play classics like Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms or modern songs like Lindsey Stirling, one of her personal favorites. That's why when she heard the rumors of the auditions she suddenly wanted to try out. If more people seen how beautiful the violin was then they'd want to learn too. Right? More classical, beautiful instrumental music. That's what Rin wanted to hear.

Rin hopes to be able to play her violin to America and to get them to love it just as much as she did.

Maximus Quincy Jones
24
Detroit, Michigan
Guitar, preferably electric.

Is stoner a personality? Because that's Maximus. At least, that's how he spent the last five years. Before that Maximus was pretty outgoing. He used to care what people thought of him, he never touched drugs. Now he didn't care what happened to him. It wasn't a great way of life and even he's well aware. His mom would be ashamed of him.

Maximus, previously 'Max', used to be a fun child. He used to be star of the football team. He was outgoing, handsome, and he had scouts lined up to recruit him. His life was good. He graduated and got in his car with his mom to move him into the dorms. He saw his dad drive the car in front of them with all his things packed. His mind was racing with the thoughts of his new life. He thought about going home for the holidays. He pictured himself out on the field in his first college football game.

He never made it to the dorm. He never saw the car coming that blew through the stop sign, t-boning the car his family was in. He never saw the car getting slammed into the tree, the car pretty much crushed. He didn't remember getting pulled out of the car or the ambulance ride to the hospital. He did remember that he was driving but that was it. All he knew was his mom didn't make it out of that car alive. He knew that he couldn't play football anymore, not with a busted knee and throwing arm.

The past few years his dad went on a wild girlfriend tangent, probably to fill the void of loneliness they both felt. Maximus also felt responsible for his moms death. Maybe if he wasn't thinking so hard he would have seen that car speeding down the road straight for them. Maximus lost his friends and started to hang out with a less than friendly crowd. He also turned to his mothers old guitar she left him, he even got his own electric guitar. It was the only thing that made him feel decent.

Maximus hopes that winning this will create a new sense of purpose for him. He wants a fresh start.

Flinn Winthrop
23
New York City, New York
Pianist

Flinn was a quiet man. Although he kept to himself he was perfectly capable of starting and holding a conversation. After all, Flinn was the only son and heir to a very wealthy couple on the upper East side of New York City. Winthrop was a very well known name throughout the upper class community. He conducted himself with grace and a sense of nobility, he was very well mannered as well. Many people looked up to him and his position in society. Flinn didn't waste his wealth either, he was a very charitable and kind man.

One look at Flinn and you see a man with it all together. Wealthy, handsome, talented, wise, educated. No one had seen the child that sat alone on Christmas, who sat alone on several birthdays. Who had to go months alone in a house with butlers and maids without his parents. At first all he did was yearn for his parents attention. His words always fell on deaf ears, though. His parents never listened. They made false promises and disappointed him time after time, but never listened.

One day little 6 year old Flinn sat at the grand piano that was hardly touched in their entryway of their home and started to play. He fell in love with the sound the keys made. From there on out he was always obsessed with the piano. It would explain why he went on and got his Bachelors of Music and played for the upper class community. He also tutored poor younger students pro bono. He didn't send the videos of him playing to the audition though, that was his students. He was very surprised to hear that he won anything since he didn't sign up for anything.

Winning this Flinn hopes for more people to find their passion in music, to feel a little less alone in this big scary world like what it did to help him.

Cameron Vianella

24

Boston, Massachusetts

Keyboard

Cameron was raised by his older sister and her husband ever since he was five years old, his father being a soap opera actor kept him constantlt busy and on the move so it was easier that way. His mother was alive but not in the picture, she gave birth to her third child and decided it was too much "adult" stuff for her to handle and ran off with an ex boyfriend to Mexico. Oh well, they all still had a good life. Cam felt like his nieces and nephews were more like his siblings than anything and they got to grow up in a happy although strange home situation. They were all musical people, his sister loved singing and her husband was an amateur guitarist. And Cam fell in love with the keyboard. Soon his sister found he was actually talented at it, not just a kid banging away at the keys. She saved up money so that Cam could take classes and eventually ended up at a private arts high school. Despite how talented Cam was and how hard he worked, nothing really came out of his education after high school. Cam went to the community college and got a degree in elementary education and now works as a elementary music and english teacher by day. At night he follows his passion and plays jazz at a local java house.

Cam hopes to win and live his dream so that his sisters hard work wasn't for nothing. They've always had their fathers income thankfully but hes getting older and closer to retirement.

Cam is goofy and fun, a sweet guy overall considering his job.
