Laviere Fontessle de'Solis

Nickname/Alias: Ayre/Lavy
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Height: 6'
Appearance description: Ayre has a slender and slim build. With his clothes on, he may appear skinny and, a tiny bit, wimpy. But he actually had a rather complete set of muscles hidden underneath his royal garment. His face was fierce and cold by default. It made everyone who saw him for the first time think he was unfriendly, arrogant, and unapproachable.

Personality: Despite his rather troublesome default expression, Ayre is actually a calm and soft person. He's the type that would share his meal with a stay cat or dog if he accidentally met them, or unknowingly got dragged to play with children because he couldn't bear to say no to them. True, he looks arrogant and cold. But not once did he look down on others. People around him just often misunderstood him and avoid him instead of trying to get to know him better. If he opens up to someone, he could be a very talkative and cheerful person, always out to do some mischief and have fun. Too bad that personality hasn't shown up for years, buried in the deepest depth of his heart.

History: The Kingdom of Solis is one of the most powerful kingdoms on the continent. Due to how firtle and vast the land it occupies, a lot of greedy neighboring kingdoms always tried to wage war with Solis to snatch even a bit of this land of gold. Not to mention that Solis was the number one producer of gold because of how many gold mines were on its land. It was inevitable that wars would always happen around its border. When another powerful kingdom in the continent (YC's kingdom) also started to show interest in Solis's lands, to avoid waging a large-scale war that would only make both kingdoms suffers, these two kingdoms agreed upon a deal. They would send some tributes to each other every year and sent a prince to the other kingdom. In turn, they would let the other benefit from their land. This would form a mutually beneficial relationship between them.

Ayre, as one of the princes in Solis, was regrettably chosen as the one to be sent to YC's Kingdom as a 'symbol of peace'. Or, in Ayre's terms, a hostage to remind the kingdom of Solis not to break the agreement and wage war. Of course, YC's kingdom also sends over a 'hostage' for Solis to keep. This was proof of how little the trust these two kingdoms had for each other. But that was not Ayre's concern. What important is that he had to leave his hometown and spend the rest of his life in a foreign kingdom. For other people, this might be unacceptable. But for Ayre, who wants nothing more than to escape from Solis, this arrangement simply couldn't be any better. Who cares if he would have a much rougher life in YC's Kingdom? For him, the eldest prince of Solis, the only child of the previous king who died during his prime with his deceased first wife, the eyesore in the eyes of the current king, the queen, and his step-siblings, nothing could be better than getting away from a place that didn't want him. Thus, he willingly accepted the fate of a hostage prince.

The sun was shining brightly in the Yamato Kingdom. It was currently mid-spring. The air was warm and cool, filled with the smell of bloomed flowers brought about by the spring breeze. It was so comfortable that it could make one physically and mentally relaxed. But the warm sunlight and the cool, comfortable breeze didn't reach the wide and tidy master bedroom at the corner of the third floor of the palace. The big windows were currently shut close, only allowing a little bit of light to barely make the room visible. On top of the big and soft bed with its canopy curtain closed, a young man with black hair was peacefully enjoying his sleep, swimming in the beautiful dreamland. He was wearing a loose pajama shirt that would reveal his collarbone and a part of his white chest, complete with the discernable line of muscles. With his black hair softly scattered around his pillow, the young man's fierceness that would be displayed by default on his face were gone, leaving an image of a gentle and soft contour of his face.

This young man was Ayre, the prince from Solis who had come to the Yamato kingdom to be a political hostage. Despite his status, judging from the rosy look on his face and how he was able to carefreely sleep in despite the sun being out for quite some time now, it was clear that he was enjoying his current life. In his sleep, Ayre was dreaming of his peaceful life, passing through the beautiful garden of Cecilias straight to a table full of delicious snacks and tea. With the melodic chirpings of birds as background music, Ayre slowly enjoyed his sweet peaceful time in this garden, feeling that the world couldn't be any more fulfilling and wonderful. But this beautiful and peaceful image shattered when a giant in a form of a woman with light brown hair and a cold, fierce face wearing a maid outfit suddenly appeared and overturn the table full of delicacy and wreak havoc in this garden. The giant woman's somewhat nagging and cold voice burst into his eardrum, almost making him go deaf. Then, Ayre's eyes abruptly opened.

The pair of light golden eyes were a bit hazy and confused as they stared at the bed canopy. Then, as the fog cleared up, those golden pupils shook slightly before two white hands with long and slender fingers covered them up. With the palm of his hands covering his face, Ayre let out a sigh. What the hell did I just dream about?! He gloomily asked himself, feeling both annoyed and bitter. He recognized the giant woman in his dream. It was his personal maid, Asuna, the girl who was in charge of giving him everything he need. Ayre didn't get along too well with her. Sure, she did her job efficiently and follow his order well. But, although he didn't know the exact reason, Ayre knew that Asuna didn't like him. She might even hate him. Proof? Well, the fact that they have been working together for almost 5 years but still have such a bad relationship that was almost to the point of being strangers is enough as proof.

That girl didn't act like how a maid should act at all. She's cold, barely giving him a glance each time they met, and would only give him the minimum treatment. Ayre couldn't understand what he had done to make this maid dislike him so much. Is it because of his face again? But, between the two of them, Asuna was clearly the one with the fiercest and coldest look. The most ridiculous fact was that she didn't seem to act that way toward other people. Although she didn't jump about and go buddy-buddy with others, mostly just stay quiet at all times, her face when she stayed quiet was at least gentle and soft. But as soon as that face was within a certain radius around him, it would suddenly turn fierce and cold, as if Ayre had killed her whole family or something. Ayre didn't know if he should laugh or cry. This was the first time he had been subjected to such a huge hatred right of the bat. And he didn't even get to know the reason due to how closed-lip that girl is. And now, although his life in Yamato kingdom as a political hostage is very peaceful and fulfilling, just like the dream he had, this girl seems to have become a symbol of chaos that wrecked his peaceful life in his mind. Even in his dream, she didn't let him go. Ayre felt like crying when he thought about it.

Slowly burrowing his face into the pillow, Ayre let out another sigh. He had noticed that the sun has been high up in the sky now. In a few seconds, Asuna would barge into the room to wake him up, open the curtain, let the spring breeze come inside the room, and prepare all the things he need for his mourning routine, all while having a cold and emotionless face. Ayre didn't want to wake up just yet. But that 'giant woman' from his dream would come any second now to really wrecked his peace if he really fall back to sleep now. He didn't want to be woken up with a glass of cold water. Nope. Nu-uh. Thus, Ayre turned his body to the side, facing the still closed double door made out of high-quality woods, waiting for Asuna to come. He would not leave the bed until then, savoring the last bit of comfort before she come.

Asuna woke up in sweat. She had one of her bad dreams again.... This time she was screaming and pleading for help when her father, I mean the king was being taken away into his deathbed. Asuna was supposed to be the empress but she was supposed to be in Solis Kingdom, while infact, she was working as a Royal Maid for the past 3 years.

Asuna quickly shrugged it off and went to get ready as it was almost noon. After coming out of a hot steamy shower she swiftly put on her regular Black and White dress, ready to see that idiot's face again. The only motivation she had in the morning was to put icy cold water on his red face. She rapidly got out of her small room and headed towards Ayre's room. She absolutely envied that idiotic person. Ayre was living the dream life instead of her. She had to bring him freshly baked bread, a glass of juicy orange juice and had to full fill all his needs. It was like being a maid! Well, she was a maid. She just wanted to run around the Royal Garden, living carefree, but of course deep down she also knew... it was impossible. She always wondered what her life would be if she went to Solis Kingdom. Would her father be living a happy life in his kingdom or she would be trapped as a prisoner there...?

Before she knew, she had already reached Ayre's room. She let out a quick sigh and muttered under her breath "Here we go again".

Ayre quietly watched as the door of his bedroom slowly swung open, letting the warm sunlight from the hall come inside this dim and dark room. His eyes squinted a little, trying to adjust to the sudden brightness. As soon as his eyesight returned to normal, Ayre quickly spotted the figure of a woman with a black and white maid outfit blocking some of the light from the hallway. She was as cold as usual. She was clearly not the one with a cold face as a default. Yet, why does he feel like it's the only expression she could make around him? Without waiting for her to splash cold water into his face or get any closer to his bed, Ayre took the initiative to open up the bed curtain. Still laying sideways facing the door, Ayre support his head with one hand as he greeted his personal maid, looking 100 points like a lazy bone who want nothing but to spend his days on top of his bed. "Good morning, Asuna. Wait, or is it noon already? You're quite late today. You missed the chance to spray cold water to my face."

Ayre's voice was hoarse and deep from just waking up. His pair of golden eyes were especially bright at this moment. Although his expression didn't change much, the slight upward on one edge of his lips along with the playful glint flashing on his eyes, it was clear that he was teasing Asuna. But his tone made it seems like he was seriously commenting on this. As if he felt bad for Asuna for missing her favorite part of waking him up each day.

During the past few years that they were together, despite Asuna's unchanging treatment toward him, Ayre did make some attempts to try being closer to her, not wanting to always face that cold look all the time. He, who had always been silent when he was still living in his kingdoms, the outcast who had no friend nor anyone who want to be close to him, had taken the initiative to befriend someone for the first time in his life. Yet, it only seems to have the opposite effect. But compared to when they first met where both were equally silent, not saying anything other than when necessary, Ayre had clearly talked more often than before. Even so, Asuna was really like a block of ice. She didn't change at all. If anything, she even seems to hate him more. I wonder why that happens? Ayre thought to himself.

Slowly, Ayre sat up on top of his bed, tidying up the open lapel of his pajama shirt. "What's for breakfast today?" He asked quietly. Ignoring whatever kind of cold or piercing look Asuna might throw at him from his earlier teasing comment. He's in a good mood today. Not having to be drowned in cold water first thing in the morning was clearly a good sign that today might be a good day.

"Oh, you're up" Asuna said a little disappointedly "Consider yourself lucky that I slept late last night."
Asuna came in and examined the room with her wide sharp eyes it was tidy, as always. Asuna sometimes considered forgiving Ayre but every time she looked at his face, it reminded of her father's death. Asuna's secret was only known by her, and her father. Asuna loosened her tight face but then saw Ayer's goofy and happy face which made her face stiff and cold as ever again. She once thought about leaving the Kingdom and living a peaceful and freelife in the forest. She never left as she knew, Yamato was her one and only home. The only reason and cause of not going to Solis was of her father. Now her father's dead she has no reason to stay but deep inside she also knows, Yamato is and was her only home. After a moment she snapped back to reality and answered Ayre, "Fresh Orange Juice, Baked Bread, Milk and a Fruit Bowl" "Ah, the usual, nothing special today Asuna?", Ayre asked yawning. Asuna's silence was enough for a answer. He's in a good mood today, he's lucky I overslept she thought to herself.
After another sigh she asked "Any plans today Master Ayre?", with a little sarcastic stretch on 'Master'.

Well, at least the usual breakfast should be as delicious as always. Ayre thought happily, humming in a low voice as he got off his bed to stretched his body. He gave Asuna a side glance when she deliberately said 'Master' in a clearly sarcastic manner. Despite the still cold expression on Asuna's face as she said it, Ayre thought it didn't sound too bad on his ear. Should he ask her to call him that more often? Ayre amused himself with this thought for a while before moving toward the window, deliberately avoiding answering her question right away. His slender fingers parted the closed curtain of the window a little bit, just enough for him to see the beautiful garden full of blooming flowers down below through the gap of the curtain. He hummed again, seemingly considering what he should do today. After that, he let go of the curtain and let it close back up, resuming the dim and dark environment of the room.

"The weather is really good today. I think I'll take a stroll through the garden and have tea later on." Ayre's still slow and low voice filled the silent room. Just saying that would be enough to give Asuna the general idea of what he wanted her to do. After all, this was not the first time he had made such a request. Telling the chef in the kitchen to prepare delicacies such as cakes and teas was one of the things she probably would do after she was finished with things here. "Alright then. Go do whatever you need to clean the room. I'm going to wash up." Ayre walked toward the bathroom to start his morning routine, not turning around again to glance at Asuna. Soon, the bathroom door was slammed close and the sound of running water could barely be heard coming through the rather thick wooden door of the bathroom.

Asuna looked at Ayre sharply and immediately understood what he wanted. She waited for Ayre to go to the bathroom to wash up and rather swiftly opened up the windows. She didn't realize the room was so dim which resulted in a massive pain in her eyes the second she could see the sunlight. She let out a short scream and hoped that Ayre didn't hear that. After a few minutes of rolling her eyes she got back to work. After that she moved on to folding Ayre's clothes which was her favourite part. She always liked the soft silk fabric running against her soft delicate hands. She noticed that the slight noise of running water stopped coming, she quickly folded the clothes, got out of the room and closed the room. She definitely didn't want to see Ayre naked, this thought made her cringe even more and change the subject.

She hurried down the hallway and corridor. Her face was blood red due to the Sun. She wondered how Ayre would survive in the garden. She hurried down to the kitchen to tell the chef to prepare Ayre's breakfast. The kitchen was a bit far from the main palace but Asuna was used to long walks around the palace and enjoyed it. Before she knew it, she was there. She told the chef with a sweet smile usual with a cup of tea and cake and he understood. This was here everyday life here. Everyday was nothing but the same. She waited for the chef to finish for a few minutes and muttered Thank You with a small smile and started ascending towards the corridor. This time, she was here before she knew it. She took a good look at the breakfast, checked if everything was perfect and knocked at the door, waiting for an answer.

As soon as Ayre went out of the bathroom, he uncomfortably squinted his eyes due to the sudden brightness of his bedroom. Asuna has done her job. The curtains were opened wide, slowly moving with the gentle breeze that came in through the opened window. It has made the whole room feel fresh, warm, and airy. The beautiful scenery of the garden with its blooming, colorful flowers were clearly displayed from where he stood. His room was already clean and tidy as he like to keep it that way with or without the help of servants. Thus, Asuna's workload in the morning was not too heavy. After all, he was an idle political prince with nothing better to do. He likes to clean his own room, put things back to where they belong, and keep everything nice and tidy just to spend some time out of his boring, peaceful life. Apart from doing the laundry and some other miscellaneous things, there was almost nothing else Asuna had to specifically do for him. She just needs to help him with his request most of the time, such as notifying the kitchen to prepare delicacies whenever he wanted them. In Ayre's opinion, her job wasn't that hard compared to the other palace's maids. So why is she always still acting as if this job was the worst job ever? Is it seriously because she was serving him? Is he really the only problem here?

Ayre let out a bitter laugh. Trying to understand that girl's thought was as hard as trying to find a needle in a stack of hay. It's near impossible. Yet, Ayre never seems to be able to stop trying to understand her. This part was also something Ayre couldn't fully understand. Deciding to forget about his previous thought, Ayre brushed back the wet stands of black hair from his forehead and walked towards his closet. Ayre casually picked up a simple white shirt and black pants. Despite it being the simplest out of all the clothes he had, the shirt was still adorned with some frills and laces around the chest, neck, and wrist area. It has a high collar. Ayre tied up a cream-colored silk cloth around the collar. He looked like a typical nobleman now.

When he finished putting on all his clothes, a knocking sound was heard from his door. "Come in," Ayre called out, knowing that it was probably Asuna. She should be back after notifying the kitchen now. As he had guessed, when the door swung open, Ayre spotted his personal maid with a tray cart filled with his breakfast. Ayre moved to the simple seating area near the window where he usually eat. He beckoned Asuna to put the dishes on top of the table in front of him. Then, he glanced at this cold-faced girl as he spoke. "Come eat with me. You haven't eaten yet, right? It's boring to eat alone all the time."
