Silently, she stepped out onto the deck and stood beside Brandon at a short distance. There was a piece of her that was thankful that he wasn't talking, she enjoyed being able to look out at the busy city in silence. It amused her to look down and see how the people below just looked like ants, as said by Jung Ho and Jung Min.


Sung Min


He didn't whether or not he should answer her. He was scared, not of her or if she would hurt him, she was scared that she was going to gain their trust and then leave them. Sung Min also thought that Tai Kyung was trying to build a replacement for his mother. Sung Min didn't want someone to take his mother's spot, that's his Umma. His Mommy. The thought petrified him but he had to be somewhat nice. His father and him had that stare off in the car. Sung Min was hoping that his dad had sided with him but his dad was trying to be polite. Sung Min knew that he had to now. Hesitantly, Sung Min pointed at the mixed berry flavor without looking at Rebekah.

Brandon looking out at the scenery, smiling a tiny bit, listening to all the sounds and taking in all the scents and new things to him. He noticed Lu Chu come up beside him, but said nothing since it was a nice silent moment between the two of them and he had no reason to ruin it nor break it since it was quite calming out here.





Rebekah


Rebekah notices the ice cream he's pointing at and smiles a tiny bit. "Oh, that does look really good... I can see why it would be someone's favourite." she said softly before looking back over the ice cream flavours trying to decide what to get. "..Maybe i'll get it.. just to try it." she said softly to herself.

As the wind blew past her, she let out a sigh of relief. Everything was peaceful, she didn't have to concern herself with her nosy paparazzi anymore or the crazed fans that would do anything just to be near her. It wasn't that she hated her fans, she just strongly disliked the overly obsessed fans. They were the reason why Min Su died. Sometimes, being famous wasn't what it was cut out to be, it was a curse more than a blessing.

Shrugging his shoulders, the little boy just held his book bag closer to his chest. He glanced at his father, who was making his way back with Sung Hee. Sometimes Sung Min resented Sung Hee because she acted like their mom wasn't dead sometimes other times, he pitied her because he knew that deep down, she knew what was going on but was too afraid to confront it.

Brandon heads back inside and decides to check around the kitchen, checking the time, he realized it was roughly close to dinner time so he decided to see what she had in the fridge and decided to make dinner, taking out some vegetables, some uncooked chicken breast and some herbs. He got out a frying pan and turned on the stove, whistling softly.





Rebecca


Rebecca stands up a bit, hums softly, a bit pleased with her choice of ice cream, hopes that she'll like it, if she doesn't, she'll probably still eat it and try a different flavour next time.

When she glanced over her shoulder, she realized that Brandon was cooking. At first, Lu Chu was concerned that he wouldn't know what to do and that her apartment would burn down but she slowly eased her tension with a sigh. Slowly, she walked back into the apartment, closing the sliding door behind her before leaning against the kitchen counter to observe him.


Lu Xun


"I'll have a neo-napoleon cone, a green mint cone, a mixed berry cone, and", he looked over at Rebekah for her order.

Brandon puts the frying pan on the burner so it could heat up before starting to cut the vegetables up and wash the uncooked chicken breast, whistling softly as he does so before putting the vegetables in the frying pan and then flipping the cutting board to cut the chicken before putting it in the frying pan too.





Rebekah


Rebekah bites her lip and looks away. "Uhm... mixed berry..." she said softly while rubbing her arm slightly.

"Have you cooked before?", she asked him, interested at how he was maneuvering around her kitchen

Brandon shakes his head. "Nope... But it feels natural... kinda of like i've done it before but... I haven't... Probably something Tai Kyung put in..." he said softly while cooking.

Rebekah rubs her arm, looking around, lost in thought.

Of course, her cousin would remember that she doesn't really cook for herself since she rarely has the time. "Do you need any help?", she asked, hesitant to step into the kitchen.

The worker handed them the ice cream cones one by one, first was Sung Min's, then Sung Hee's, then his, and then Rebekah's. Lu Xun thanked her with a smile before chuckling at how fast his kids were eating their ice cream before turning his attention to Rebekah and handed her the cone.

Brandon looks at her while stirring the stir fry. "Sure, if you don't mind helping me.. Could you get me the terriyaki sauce and some basil, oh and get some green onions." he said while smiling a bit.





Rebekah


Rebekah takes the cone carefully, looks at it before licking it gently, looking quite surprised at how cold and good it tastes. "Oh wow!" she said softly, her eyes twinkling a bit as she continues to enjoy her ice cream.

Nodding her head, Lu Chu quickly went to work. A strange calmness overtook them and she enjoyed it. The last time she felt like this was years ago. Lu Chu grabbed the terriyaki sauce from the sauce cabinet next to the fridge and then the green onion and basil from the tiny herb garden she had in pots arranged on the marble island. "Here", she said, placing it beside him. Cautiously, she looked at him from the corner of her eye before observing him cook.


Lu Xun


"Looks like someone else likes the same flavor as you, Sung Min", Lu Xun chuckled while Sung Min bashfully looked at his feet. He checked his watch and ushered everyone to the car, "All right, lets head home. Sung Min, we have piano lessons and Sung Hee has to practice her singing and we want Rebekah to be comfortable at home, right?". The twins nodded before clasping their hands together and walking towards the car with Lu Xun following behind them, but he walked slower for Rebekah to keep up.

Brandon takes the terriyaki sauce and pours a bit into the frying pan as well as a bit of basil and sprinkling it in the pan. "Can you cut some of the green onions for me? That's the last ingredient I need for this stir fry, also do you want rice or noodles with it?" he asked while getting out a pot and filling it with water before putting it on the other burner.





Rebekah


Rebekah still working on her ice cream as she follows after the twins, walking along side Lu Xun, grateful for him walking slower to keep pace with her since she was shorter then him and therefore had shorter legs and couldn't walk as fast. She eventually finished her cone as they got to the car and took some napkins out of her pocket to clean her hands.

"Rice would be fine", she answered while cutting the green onions on a cutting board. Lu Chu felt odd cooking with someone else, whenever she had guests over, they would sit down and watch her cook or she would entertain them while cooking at the same time. This was something new.

When he unlocked the door, Sung Min and Sung Hee got comfortable in the back seat while Lu Xun sat in the driver's side. He chuckled his ice cream and cleaned his hand with wet wipes before passing two to the kids. Sung Hee's face was covered with ice cream while Sung Min didn't make as much of a mess like Lu Xun.

Brandon lightly pushes into a piece of chicken to check to see if it's cooked all the way through before pushing it around once more and moving to check on the rice, stirring it occasionally to make sure it didn't stick.

Rebecca looking out the window, lost in her own sort of thought process, she sighed lightly as she rested her elbow near the window and propped her chin up on her palm as she looked at everything passing by.
