Susan went for a simpler outdoor dress, a white flowery dress with a straw hat. It was costume a step down from what the finery she used to wear, still bearing the sign of nobility but that of a lower order that she was. It was unlikely someone as high as she was would be interested in circuses and her usual clothing choices may give her away if there was someone present who knew about her. With it she had her usual matching umbrella and a pair of fans, one of which she held in her hand blowing air in her face as she waited and listened to the briefing by henry.
She looked on at Gwen, studying for any detail that can be telling. Though a deal was made and their session the previous night was fruitful, she could not say she trusted the Irish woman. Clever yet to emotional and prideful, she could discount that Gwen may try to something to cause trouble for Susan. Susan was tempted to set her own plans against Gwen but she is self-aware enough to know this could be her own paranoia. The best course of action was to wait and see, something that Susan did not like to do but in the end of the day she had to focus on the task at hand.
She entered the carriage with Henry, if he is the source of communication she wanted to be close to him as possible, so she could stay in the loop. He already had a plan on making Henry, Lady Walker's assistant even boyfriend, so he would remain close. She sat next to the travel bag barely acknowledging it as she settled in and took out a book to read during the journey. She already knew what it was.
