Futuristic The P.U.N.K. [Cyber x Steam x Bio Punk Epic RP]

OppositeInverse

The Origin of The End.

"Alright... Pay attention so I can get you up to speed. This is going to be an intimate story about some shit that happened, that in turn would lead to other shit. So here we go. Basically once upon a time the world was the world. Greenhouse gases, global warming, lust, and international financial thirst for supreme power... AKA the old everyday boring ass autonomous routine yada yada yada bullshit. Okay, here's where things get interesting. One day SOMEBODY decided it would be a good idea to see the world tear apart, and I do mean atomically & anatomically. So BLAM! Shit lead to a big boom that pretty much disrupted the common practice of the free & third world lifestyles as we know it. Dubbed as The Blast. Oh, and lots of people died too... like... A LOT a lot.

giphy.gif

In the wastelands that followed after, the rest of collective mankind came together and figured well shit, why not build anew without borders and divide? Romantic thought really, but of course as you know it... people have agendas, and agendas change. What was left of humanity and hell, even animal kind started to migrate in unity and attempt another go at this thing we like to call life. Life is precious, and it was something the blast humbled us with. We gathered every fiber of mental, physical, and spiritual gifted power we had and collided together to replace what Earth knew with what will be. From the ashes of death and cinders, we started to use that ingenuity towards a new hope of life that wouldn't just get us back on our feet, but cause us to soar past our predecessors. From that, The Commonkind of Neo-Terra was officially dubbed. For the lame asses that prefer to be colloquially lazy, they preferred the term New-Earth. Dumb. Anyways, we literally rebuilt civilization in our image from the ground up. And man... did we ever outdo ourselves with that shit.

BelatedFilthyHectorsdolphin-small.gif

So then came time to start to consider some type of authority and responsibility over delegation and power for the future of mankind right? And come on, you thought just because we got a new slate history wasn't going to repeat itself!? SHIIIITTTT. You read about the past, you know what happens next. The laborers feud with the refined, and the wealthy-headed feud with the scientists, and the authoritarians go at it with the free-spirited. But this time it was different, for the first time in seemingly forever it wasn't just about power, no. Ironically it was actually about progress. HOW the world should move forward as opposed to WHO controls it. Shit got interesting. So basically humanity started to realize it's better to have social and economical cliques meshed together in all sectors of life, but as I said... the HOW was the big pickle. There were some who believed that the reason the Blast happened was an inevitable response to the rejection of proper law, order, and resource. They believed that mother nature was always intended to fuel the planet in innovation, not ignorance. These are the ones you know today as the Steam Society. Then... there were those who believed that it was always going to be an ever advancing world with mankind being the progenitors and drivers of the fate on Earth. That Blasts and even resources wouldn't have to be depended on if humanity would just embrace their own limitless potential of prowess and work to unlock the human applications as much as they worked to improve technology and resources. You know them today as the Biosapien Republic. Annnnd then of course you know the last one, the ones who immesnely believed that mankind could only get so far from a planet who would eventually burn out and dry of resource, whether mankind sped that up or not. Who also believed that as much potential that the body has, it will forever be mortal beyond the forces of the universe. Those that believed in the concept that technology and computational software and hardware was a force that literally could result in quantum limitlessness by any means of application. The goddamn Cyberkin Nation. The rest of the population had split at these ideals and decided to form civilization on these three principles, and whatever citizen of Neo-Terra felt more of their vibe would migrate to said way of life. And so, these three factions were born to inhabit the world and set up their customs and new lifestyles a they saw fit.

But, from all that shit, more shit would happen. The same problems as before started to occur in each of the communities. Some found themselves on the low end of labor, or happiness, or order... and you know what that means. Chaos. Unending. Crime was bred for the first time since the Rebuild. And just like that, we were back at the same old shit. Just a shinier and new mask over the same face of mankind. So of course, Three Presidents were elected to run the global operations and welfare of each of the three factions, and they came together with their brightest and best minds and staff to develop the P.U.N.K. : The Polyphasic Unified Nexus Kernel, a network of universally mandated protocols and procedures for all of Neo-Terra to abide by to keep the peace and develop an unbiased, just way for all to live in a relatively equal pace and environment. P.U.N.K. was intended to be a staple of each faction, to they molded the supreme icon to represent it. A Bio-Genetic system that is linked to an AI mainframe powered by and encased in a Steam fortress in a location only know to the most high of authority. P.U.N.K. also uses its assets under The Three to employ and derive enforcement for the sake of keeping order in our new world. Told you, a bunch of shit. But that was a long time ago, in a place far far away...

giphy.gif

Damn, you still awake for this shit? Well, since you're up... it's only one thing that's left to say. Who the fuck are you in all of this? Once you figure that out, come find me. I got a feeling some more shit is going to happen. The Blast all over again type shit.

The Republic of Biosapiens focuses on the use of bio-technology and genetic engineering rather than computer technology or natural resource. Genetic manipulation, body modification and eugenics are all common themes in their literature, history, and resarch as well as traditions and customs. Their drawbacks are social decline and political repression, as well as not readily being as applicable as The Steam Society nor the Cyberkind. What they lack in ingenuity and labor they damn sure make up for in creativity, evolutionary standard, and metaphysical supremacy. They are usually solitary people, and don't bother to indulge in the affairs of others unless absolutely necessary or pushed to. Their use of geneticism allows them to be more physically adept and versatile then their two other civilized counterparts, and mass producing many medicines, vaccines, and cures for a number of things the other two communities can't get their hands on. However, they also some with making some pretty dangerous and risky species and diseases as well... so there's that. They usually have to rely on either of the other two civilizations for energy or commerce, but they find themselves often on middle ground with each of the two factions. They prefer more of the conventional old-world aesthetic for their infrastructure, mainly living near naturally lush places or underground.

The Nation of Cyberkin is solely based on the notion founded in the science of cybernetics, which views nature as a series of interconnecting technological systems. Specifically, the Cyberkin deals with the link between biology and computer technology, and explores humanity’s changing relationship with computer hardware and software systems. Virtual reality, Artificial Intelligence, prosthetics, cyborgism and advanced technologic application are all a part of this community's customs and practices. They are among the more populated and consensus based publicity of Neo-Terra, yet with such density of citizens it only exploits the problem that its culture already faces: supply and demand. Despite the Cyberkin being the most technologically advanced, they are in constant need of supply of energy and power, and with their many users of their lifestyle, can become flooded, densely trafficked, and even corrupted over time with such frequent & fast paced way of living. Cost of living as well. Even if there was a surplus, its likely to dwindle due to the many ever-constant needs for more supply, or the private sectors and markets that wish to use them for more exclusive or independent purposes. They are the prime supplier of hardware, cyber technology, digital and software networking, and components of vast assortments in all of Neo-Terra. Their infrastructures and cities are advanced and ascendant beyond convention. Which also incites an invitation from all sorts of types and occurrences in their culture. Especially the underworld types.

The Steam Society merges the new beginning of advancement with the old history and design aesthetics of the predecessors that came before them in the prior Centuries, namely the 19th and 20th. Their civilization is the culmination of style, artistic movement, and the idealistic culture of prominence vs progression all rolled into one. The basic tradition of The Steam Society is the introduction of old concepts and technologies into an enhanced application, or vice versa. It focuses largely on the age of steam, where natural resources were the equal trend and demand to that of modern internet and advanced technology, and the perceives inventiveness of industrial & mechanical engineers. This community has the hardest workers, and the toughest & brightest fields of humanity that Neo-Terra could ask for. Their investment into ergo-steam and natural resources makes them much more lasting and grants them greater longevity then the other two civilizations, as they don't need to rely on external resources or artificial means to provide and thrive for their welfare and lifestyle. They have the most durable and longer lasting weaponry, vehicles, infrastructure, and fuel / energy. Along with those things, these are where the freshest supplies of food, water, and sustenance comes from. The technology and fashion is commonly known to be more aesthetically appealing, and ultimately more stoic than that of The Cyberkin or Biosapiens. They are much more ordered and "refined", and make it known through the intersocial networks that they are as such. Usually the more prideful and potent minded of the three factions. Where they lack in endless application and total versatility, they make up for in resourcefulness, longevity, and natural charisma & supremacy.

GOODNESS.... you're STILL HERE!? Get a move on! If you're interested in this opportunity, then reply already! Further rules and instructions will come with the next phase.

- Shithead, Again.

I'm interested but I cannot confirm it. Can you send me a post without the code, or at least without the background? The static is making the text difficult for me to read, even when I highlight the text.

Dems the rules. Cartoon / anime pics take away from the immersion of realism placed in the universe. It can also be drawn it just has to be a semblance of realism.
Are you serious? No it doesn't and your talking about realism in a rp like this? Come on...whatever man guess i'm out then.

Word of advice: Don't tell the GM about their idea or inspiration for an RP just because your individual self didn't get your way or what you want. That immature and tactless response represents a facet of what's wrong with trying to RP in a "safe" community now. People have the right to express and conceptualize their creativity and ideas how THEY see fit, which is the beautiful thing about RPing. It allows people to be free and have like minded individuals come together, so when someone like you throws a menial tantrum for the sake of not having something you expected not go your way, you're doing nothing but showing classlessness and disrupting the rest of us who think it's a fantastic idea

(Thanks to the rest of you who expressed great interest and I hope this person doesn't deter you from what will be an EPIC Rp )

oh god yes

working on a character now-- for the writing sample bit, would it be alright if I submitted an introductory post from another RP? I assume it's fine, just figured I'd make sure.
