Sinead Sullivan

Sinead awkwardly bit her lip as Angel chuckled. He was smiling, but his eyes were saying something different. When asked for more information on Steve, she twisted her body towards Angel and looked him in the eyes, taking in some of the anger within him. "Steven Marsh. You won't know him. He used to work with me," she confirmed.

Sinead had an idea of the things Angel had done in his line of work. She also knew she had felt nothing whilst watching James beat Steve up. She knew what she was thinking right now was wrong, but what happened to her and could have happened surely outweighed anything she now felt. She felt Steve didn't deserve to be spared, not after how cruel he'd been to her. "I know which neighbourhood he lives in," she revealed. If she was reading Angel right, she knew she was basically sealing Steve's fate, but Lucy was right when she said men like Steve deserved to be tortured. She wanted Steve to be properly punished for laying a finger on her. "I want him to be sorry for what he's done."

Sure, his ears were still ringing like the bells in a fucking church but he was pretty sure that he had heard the man right. Olivia? He had absolutely no freaking idea about what this man was talking about. Had something happened against the Romano's that made him think that his family had something to do with it? Is that why the fired at Shannon openly the other night? It was all starting to make sense...well, sorta. There was a pained look in Finn's eyes, his bluff being called as L brought up his father. "Why would I need to tell you about my father? He's dead." Finn asked gruffly, trying not to let the emotions that he was feeling seep through. Finn had always felt in some way, it had been his fault his parents had died. It really wasn't a rational feeling, as the man was then a young boy who really had nothing to do with the gang.

Finn gulped down the lump in his throat before glaring at the man to hide his pain. "I hate to break it to you, but I have no idea who Olivia even is? And even if I did, it seems like she wouldn't be important enough to directly target anyway." Finn's breath was still shallow and uneven as he tried to struggle with wrapping his head around what was happening. The man had thrown the knife across the room...He wasn't going torture him? Finn wasn't going to let his guard down, but something was definitely not right. He moved around in his restraints and hissed out another curse word.

Maggie continued to breath in and out, keeping count in her head so as to better herself. Even if it didn't last long. She accepted in Conor's words with a tiny sob. Regardless of the fact that she might never have been able to stop them, guilt and anger at herself continued to wash over her.
She payed attention to Conor as he emptied the pub. He was breaking fast, just like her. But he was angrier. His outburst scared Maggie, who was no longer watching him. She shook, another sob escaping her with a shake of her head.
Maggie released herself from Cassie's comforting hold to move around the bar, her body now sat in one of the many stools. She kept herself upright with her elbows over the top, but she felt like she was going to give way while she took in his words. Her words didn't leave her till after he made his promise. It made a sick feeling she didn't like, run through her. 'I don't know~. The guy with the bandana, from the shooting...he said nothing, he just pulled him into the van, and he-.' The arrival of Lucy and James cut off Maggie's speech. She was happy to see them, and turned in her seat, gladly accepting Lucy's hug. With a tiny nod at her words, she pulled away and looked back at Conor. She was still crying, just less profusely. The more time that passed, the clearer her head became. 'They didn't say anything. The driver might have sworn at me when he kicked me. But~ inside the van. He, just kept hitting Finn-.'

Lorenzo noted the man’s small pause, the parental comment struck a small cord. He’d strum it later. For now, he let the man speak freely, talking about as he didn’t know Olivia, frankly he didn’t care. He didn’t have to know her, wasn’t apart of the job.

It’s quite alright young man, just testing to see if that rung a bell.” Setting his chin on his arms, which were rested on the back of the chair, he sighed. “My father was a real pain, always had to have a say. So you said your father died? Do you remember him at all?”

Conversation was always how he started this. Then you’d move into the negotiation, then the convincing. “I’m just trying to make conversation Finn, this room is quite confidential. I’m not here for any information, just a chat.” His tone was warm, almost comforting as Tuscany itself.

James entered the pub at a slower pace than Lucy, almost walking casually as some of the broken glass crunched beneath his shoes. Conor was angry, Maggie was deeply upset, so James knew this was a time for him to be his cold and emotionless self. Of course he was worried for Finn, but showing that would only add to the already heated atmosphere. When he heard Maggie describe the kidnapper as matching the description of Emmet's killer, James briefly glanced to Lucy. James had looked into that man's eyes that night and he was certain they'd belonged to Angel. He could only take this as confirmation the man was back in the city. Whilst knowing this was useful, his suspicions were perhaps best kept to himself whilst Conor was already furious. It would only be another name for the Sullivan boss to shout out.

"Maggie, I'm sorry they hurt you too. Are you injured?" James calmly asked, though his face showed concern. "Can you describe the vehicle?" It probably wouldn't help, but any information was better than nothing.

"The van will be long gone. We need to start asking questions. Threaten a few Romanos. Fucking march into Vinnie's shitty casino and kill the lot of them. Not stand around asking what some bloody van looked like," Conor argued.

James took a step closer to Conor, but kept his hands clasped together behind his back. "Are you going to calm the fuck down yet?" he coldly asked. He wasn't afraid of the bigger man and he accepted Conor had a lot of issues that needed to be let out. Now wasn't the time for it. James was still with the Sullivans because he could detach himself from his emotions. Right now he knew that was his duty, regardless of how much he feared for Finn. "We need to think of a better way than marching around shooting at people and getting ourselves killed. I'm not going to sugar coat this - they could have taken Finn to any one of many locations. More than likely only a small number of people know and they won't tell us, especially not if you've got a gun to their head. It's a shame none of us have friends within the Romano family. It would make it easier to obtain leverage."

Conor listened to James. He wanted to punch the man for seeming so indifferent, but deep down he knew that was why he needed him and why Emmet had employed him in the first place. Conor began pacing a small area behind the bar, calming his breathing as he tried to relax again. He was processing James' last words and wondered if he was trying to suggest involving Alex. Only Lucy and James had known about his relationship with her, though he figured they thought it was a thing of the past, but he couldn't ask for confirmation out loud.

When it was announced that Finn was in the location, Nicolo knocked back his drink and began to walk alongside his uncle towards the interrogation room. He nodded at his father's words and gave him a small smile "I can handle it" he assured his father.
Once down in the room, Nicolo stood at the back beside the door behind Finn. The lighting in the room was ideal as it managed to cast a shadow where Nicolo was standing so if Finn were to look around, he would only be able to make out the outline of Nicolo and not any defining features. Nicolo carefull listened to and watched Lorenzo as he spoke.

When there was no response to her statements, Alex kept walking towards her apartment. She was annoyed, upset and very unsure of what to do. She couldnt believe that he had see them together, they had always been so careful especially after the incident with Angel.
Alex unlocked her door and got a glass of whiskey before sitting on the couch to think everything over. While her loyalties were conflicting and at times made her seem disloyal to her family, she was not a snitch and nor would she help the police in any way. As far as she was concerned Alex knew that he was a dirty cop and could not be trusted, he could still tell her father after she gave him an alcohol shipment. Or who is to say the blackmailing would actually stop once he got what he wanted. As Alex finished her glass, she was suddenly struck with an idea. She bit her lip as she thought about it in detail, knowing that if she was to do this then she would be on her own.

Finn raised his eyebrows and wanted to say something snarky in return to his "just conversation" bullshit. If this were just conversation he wouldn't be restrained and the man wouldn't be cowering, well figuratively anyway behind them. If this was a conversation then they should be talking man to man. Instead of vocalizing his irritation however, he sighed and knew it would be easier to cooperate with the man instead of trying to go against him. Finn had not seen Nicolo in the room as of yet and had no idea he was even in the room. "Yea...he's dead. Do I remember him at all? Sure I do. I was 14 when he and my mother passed." The pain in Finn's eyes was evident, and a small sigh escaped his lips at remembering his parents. He really did miss them.

Finn wasn't sure what the man was getting at. But it definitely didn't seem like he was about to be tortured by him. It was strange. This entire situation made him feel even more uneasy without the expected torture. So what was this man trying to do? If he wasn't here for information then why was Finn even involved?

Giovanni "Angel" Gambino

Angel frowned slightly when Sinead mentioned how she wanted to see Steve suffer. Even though he originally planned to corrupt her, there was something unsettling about seeing such a sweet girl speak so devious. He looked back to her field dressing and the dried blood that seeped through it. Why would someone want to hurt her? He looked back into her eyes, her anger now matching his. "Oh, he'll pay alright." He looked back at the road, pulling off from the curb. He was indifferent about wanting her to see what he was going to do. If she saw what he was capable of, there was no way she'd feel the same about him. He turned back around, heading toward the Sullivan household.

He parked a block away, as he usually did. He rested the idling car against the sidewalk, his eyes staring off down the road. Angel had lost his apatite, the only thing on his mind was Steve. "Where does he work?" Angel eventuality asked after a couple seconds of silence. He kept his eyes on the road, his fingers intently gripping the steering wheel.

Sinead nodded when Angel said Steve would pay. It felt like she and her family were always being hurt and those responsible never answered to their crimes. This was one time where someone who had done wrong towards her would be punished for their actions. When Angel set off, Sinead rested her head against the window and looked outside as a million thought seemed to occupy her mind. She snapped out of them when she realised Angel had turned the car around and was heading back in the direction of where she lived.

When Angel stopped by the sidewalk, just a block away from her home, Sinead kept her head turned away from him and facing out of the passenger window. She heard him ask where Steve worked. "He doesn't work around here, that's for sure," she drily answered him as she pushed the button down to lock the passenger door from the inside. She'd sneaked out of the house and she hadn't gone through the effort to be back there already. She sat up straight and turned to look at Angel. "He won't be at work now. His house is back that way," she said, looking over her shoulder. "I'll know which is his house if his car is parked outside." Sinead wasn't sure she wanted to see what Angel would do to Steve, but she was certain she couldn't just go back home and pretend everything was normal. "I know you want to go and get Steve now. I shouldn't have let you see me this way," she told him, her voice finally softening. "I'd be a coward if I ran along home now."

Lorenzo nodded as Finn spoke, listening to the short story he told. Once complete, he stood up and flicked on of the restrains free from Finn. “14 is a horrible age my friend, my condolences...”

He’d continue this process for awhile, freeing the man every inch his depression deepened. “So you must’ve had a mother around then right? My mother was a terrific cook, I imagine you Irish have some good mothers as well.”

Vinnie finished his drink. Despite owning the hotel and not handling money over for his drinks, he still tipped the bartender and gave him a grateful smile. He then got up and headed in search of Leo.

Leo had just been about to check on the reception team when Athena entered the hotel. He smiled brightly as he walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek. "Hey there," he softly said. "Are you good?"

"Get a room," Vinnie's voice interrupted the couple. His expression showed he was only teasing. When Leo turned to face his boss, it gave Vinnie the view he had intended on seeing - Leo's bruised face and cut lip. The older man took a step closer to look at the injuries. "I'd heard rumours you'd been mugged. That's quite a number they did on you." Vinnie smirked and let out the briefest of laughs. "Didn't they realise they didn't even have to hurt you? I'm pretty sure you'd have just handed over the cash if they'd simply asked. Seems a bit extreme considering you won't fight back and all they wanted was a bit of money." Vinnie was a suspicious man and he wasn't believing this story, but he wouldn't force the truth out right now. He turned his attention to Athena. "Were you with Leo when it happened and did you get hurt?" he asked. Nice guy or not, if Athena had been harmed and Leo hadn't stepped in, he wouldn't be best pleased.

Lucy moved to sit beside Maggie, keeping a comforting hand on hers, she squeezed it softly as she explained what she had seen, who she had seen. Lucy's eyes widened softly as Maggie explained that she recognized the person who had kidnapped Finn as the same man who was at her father's shooting only a few months prior. One name sounded off in her head and her eyes widened slightly. Her eyes moved to find James, both seemed to have glanced each other's way, confirming they were thinking the same thing. This caused Lucy's free hand to clench into a fist as James continued to question Maggie, Lucy wasn't surprised when her brother argued that it wasn't time for questioning, only action. This caused Lucy to frown up at him in disappointment. James took a step closer to Conor and she wondered briefly if there was going to be a confrontation between the two. But Lucy knew James could keep his cool, so Conor would be the only one to start it. Relieved when her brother listened to reasoning, it was clear of whom James was speaking of when he was talking about Romano connections.

There was a beat of silence and Lucy took her opportunity to speak. "James is right about that, about everything really. The Romano's want us to bite Conor, we are the little fish in the pond waiting to be baited by the worm." Lucy looked to the mess her brother had created in the pub and sighed. Lucy knew that her brother had once been involved with Alex. Whatever they were now wasn't necessarily important to her now, though her brother's happiness was. Lucy had been scolded by her brother and by James for lying to them. But was her brother still hiding the fact that he was in a relationship with the enemy's daughter? There was only one way to find out...but it wasn't to ask directly. Her other cousins were around and she knew that they wouldn't be as...understanding as Lucy would be about it, especially with Finn missing. "Can I have a word with my brother?" Lucy asked suddenly, not wanting to beat around the bush any longer with all of this. Her cousin's life was in danger and Lucy wasn't going to let secrets kill him.

Finn watched as the man freed him from his restraints. Finn couldn't wrap his head around what the whole purpose of this abduction was, but he wasn't going to let himself relax completely. Perhaps thats what they wanted, to get him when his guard was down. Mind manipulation was definitely a dangerous tool. But Finn remained casual like, his short and shallow breaths continuing to cause his lungs to ache, broken ribs cracking slightly with each expansion of his chest. He said nothing to this man's 'condolences' knowing that if the Romano's had known about his family, surely they would have destroyed them anyway.

His mother was brought up, and Maggie popped into his head. His sisters frightened face and tears was the last thing he would remember of her. He felt in a lot of ways, he had failed her as a brother. Ruining his path to success, moving her to Chicago, which wasn't a complete mistake for they were always surrounded by family. But she was placed in the line of danger too many times to count and Finn hasn't been able to protect her from any of it. Finn had made a promise to protect her...and he failed. "...Mother? No." Finn's voice sounded suddenly defeated as he answered L's question. "She died with my father."

Lorenzo watched Finns’s eyes, the window to the soul he liked to think. But, he could tell that his words were working. His emotions were becoming more visible, which was a good thing.

Again my apologies young man.” Gently flicking the next restraint, he could see the force around his chest loosen, breathing would be less labored now. He patted the man’s shoulder gently as he sat back down, his emerald eyes once again studying his project.

How did this happen? I mean you’re the only one around, you must’ve been very fortunate.”

Angel had been clenching the steering wheel, tearing the fabric under the pristine stitching. He turned to Sinead, the similar deranged hatred in his eyes that he held when he executed a target. It was obvious he had one thing on his mind and the last thing he wanted to do was argue. Angel cut her off, as she explained how she could track him down. "Get out," He coldly snarled.

While she went to leave his car, clearly not pleased with his response, he pulled her back to him into a passionate kiss. As he pulled away, she could see the hatred in his eyes had been diluted. "I won't let someone hurt you and walk away, but I also won't drag you down to my level. Please, just go home, where you'll be safe. You're no coward." He kissed her again before letting her go. He figured the longer he had this pent up anger, the more likely it was to be taken out on someone around him. He wanted her to be long gone by that point.

As she left, he stepped back on the gas. He remembered the name Steve as a former employer of hers, very vividly. He always had a feeling that creep had an obsession with her. He was gonna' make an example out of the little freak.

Conor stopped on the spot and looked to Lucy as she spoke, saying James was right. Maybe he was, but it still didn't stop Conor from wanting to put bullets in Vinnie just like the Romanos had done to Emmet. He didn't care what happened to himself after that, as long as the Italian was dead. But he knew that was his anger talking to him and right now he had to think about Finn. Lucy then asked to speak with him and he saw James silently nod his head. Conor sighed and motioned towards the staff room in the back area of the pub. Assuming she followed, he closed the door behind the both of them and leaned against the wall. He folded his arms and looked Lucy in the eyes. "I get it, I smashed some shit up, but I'm calming down now. Finn's both family and one of my best friends, I just can't bear to think of him suffering," he told her. He had a feeling James' last words had caught Lucy's attention and this conversation was going to involve Alex. This didn't sit well with him, but he would hear his sister out.

Sinead glared at Angel and practically stared him down when he told her to get out of the car. She looked away from him and harshly pulled the pin knob up to unlock the car door. She was about snap at him and storm out when he pulled her back to kiss her. The passionate kiss managed to soften her a little and remind her she loved this man - trusted him. When he told her he didn't want to drag her down to his level and that she wasn't a coward, she quickly nodded her head, giving in and backing down against him. She knew he was right and she needed to fight against the developing part of her that wanted to be something else. Angel kissed her once more and she softly stroked his cheek for a moment. "Be careful... you still owe me dinner," she gave in. She opened the car door and stepped out of the vehicle. She was about to close the door when she turned back and looked to Angel. "He works at the Sunrise Bar now," she simply told him. She closed the car door and walked back towards her house, not looking back to Angel so it was easier for both of them.

Lucy followed her brother into the staff room, sitting back down in a chair as he closed the door behind them. Raising an eyebrow as he spoke, she crossed her arms lightly and nodded her head in understanding. Once he was finished she offered her brother a small smile. "I understand your reasoning for being upset Conor, I want those fuckers to burn just as much as you do for what they have done and continue to do. But I also know that I would be more likely to do so...as it seems that you are still attached to one." Lucy's accusation of her brother's current dating status was just a casual one, She looked to his face and looked for the smallest hint of honesty in his eyes. Once she found what she was looking for she sighed, "Now its probably no place of mine to lecture the Sullivan's very own Boss, but I feel as though in the long run, these few words will help you." She paused briefly and looked to the door where the rest of their group was waiting for them.

"You scolded me for keeping secrets, secrets that ended up killing the only father we will ever had. And I respected your words and promised you that I wouldn't lie about the things that were said to me any longer. However, how can I honor such a promise when you are lying as well?" Lucy's voice was harsh, but she knew that in order to get her point across she had to be. "I get it, you are young and in love I'm sure. I understand how you feel, that you are willing to do everything and anything you can to be with that person...but we need your help. I will not let another one of our family members die because of the secrets we keep! Alex is the key to finding Finn, and if we want to see him alive...you must be honest with me...just me. I'm not asking you to reveal your relationship to Sinead, or Carrick or mother...not even James! But I remember when you could come to me for anything, you can confide in me Conor. Finn was relieved when the man released the restraints across his chest. The pressure that had been pushed on his chest was now released and he could breath a little easier. Well, as easy as one could with broken ribs, but it was definitely better with the restraint gone. Finn was really good at reading people, but this man was throwing everything off. His voice was sincere and he took the time to help him, seeing that he was struggling to breathe. This definitely didn't scream Romano. Normally they were ones to torture, take names and information, and release to let their victims internally suffer. It seemed like this man had no thought of even doing that. Finn's brows furrowed together and he grunted out when the man offered his apologies again. Finn certainly didn't need them.

Finn was almost quick to correct the man, when he asked how it happened and that he was fortunate if he was the only one around. He wasn't the only one around, his parents name survived by both himself and Maggie. But this bastard didn't need to know that she existed. Giving out that information would only lead to her kidnapping, that much he was sure, and he wouldn't dream of dragging her into this. She had so much to live for. Shrugging his shoulder, he let his head hang tiredly. "It was an accident...I was never really given the gruesome details of it, always was told I was too young to hear it."

After coming up with a plan and the details on how to deal with the sergeant, Alex felt more uneasy than she had when she first got home. She looked around the apartment and for the first time since she got there, she realised how lonely and quiet it was. After finishing her drink, Alex got up and put on her jacket, grabbing her bag on the way out the door. She didnt know if she was going to a pub or just for a walk but she needed to do something to relax her mind. As Alex walked she bumped into an old friend from the diner and the two talked for a while, Sarah informed Alex that her dog molly had pups and she was looking for a nice home to send them. The concept of having a dog excited Alex, it was just what she was looking for to have company in the house and when it got older it would be good for safety measures, not that she needed it for that. Alex agreed to take one of the puppies and to call over to Sarah's the following day before they both went there separate ways. Alex realised that talking to someone had calmed her down and she decided to walk back towards her apartment to give Nicolo a ring to see if he would come over.

Lorenzo nodded, standing up from his chair, and pushing it gently to the wall. He tucked his hands casually in his pockets, still watching Finn. He didn’t find his answer satisfactory, plus he wasn’t ready quite yet for the next release...

You seem grown to me, and I can gladly give you an outline of what actually ensued if you like?” Letting those words sit, Lorenzo’s oddly warm tone gradually sank into some other breed. “The police never figured it out, and never will i’ll tell you know... But that’s not the main show that left you and your sister abandoned is it..?” Lorenzo began to circle the chair, his footsteps the only sound besides his voice.

“The Sullivans have always had trouble with the Romano’s I hear. Expecially your parents. Well when their daughter is a half-breed, it would make sense.”
Now the last part was possibly a extension of the truth, but his words never sounded like lies. “Both sides wanted them dead, as well as you two. But, once they sent your parents six feet under they decided that was enough trauma a child could take... You on the other hand look fine to me, no inner demons you want to let loose?” Stopping as he was behind Finn, he snatched his shoulders. Both for effect, and curiosity.

It wasn't long until Athena saw Leo walking over to her directing with a bright smile on his face. After being greeted with a kiss on her cheek, she looked to the man. "Hey." she said, flashing a small friendly smile. Athena nodded at his question, "Yeah, I'm fine." She answered, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Suddenly the sound of Vinnie's voice met her ears, turning to see him with a teasing expression on his face. The young woman smiled softly, "Hey Vinnie." Athena greeted, watching as the man inspected Leo's face. Vinnie proceeded to let out a brief laugh to Leo whilst she fiddled with a loos string on one of the the cuffs of her jean jacket.
Afterwards, Vinnie has focused his attention on Athena. The girl slowly looked to Vinnie as he questioned her on the details of if she had been present when the event happened and if she got hurt.
Thena bit her lower lip nervously, "U-Um. Yes and maybe?" Athena spoke, a nervous laugh escaping. The man probably didn't think this was funny. For some reason, the girl has never been able to lie straight to the man's face. Even as a child. Withholding information, yes. But looking into his eyes and lying? Never.

Conor raised his eyebrows when Lucy suggested he was still attached to a Romano. His mind was cast back to the night Lucy and James found him with Alex. He nearly lost his family that night, but his sister forgave him and kept his secret. He looked her in the eyes and he couldn't lie to her, his own eyes would have given him away anyway. She then continued to speak, about how he'd told her off for keeping secrets, but he felt he'd been very accepting of the confession she made only a couple of days ago. It was fair that she wanted him to be as honest as he'd told her to be, but he'd felt keeping this secret had to be for the better.

"I am in love with Alex and I won't disrespect you by denying it to your face," he spoke up, his voice level with her. "I lie to our family because it's safer. The less people who know, the less chance there is of Vinnie finding out, because I dread to think what kind of Hell he would unleash if he found out. I didn't set out to fall in love with the enemy's daughter, but I did and I can't ignore those feelings now I have them," he desperately told Lucy. "Being with her helps me to clear my head, just for the briefest of times. I don't feel so suffocated when I'm with her."

Lucy said they needed his help and that Alex was the key to finding Finn. Despite everything he'd just said about Alex, family still came first to him. Lucy and James both knew that, which is why they knew they were placing him in an impossible position. "James knows. He wouldn't have made his comment back there if he didn't," Conor dismissively told her. "I want Finn back here and we have to do everything we can to secure that. If you guys want us to use Alex as leverage, I know it makes sense. I know to beat the Romanos we have to think like them, and I guess if it were the other way around, I'd be asking the same of you. I want Finn back safe and well, just as much as everyone else does. But I'm aware if we use Alex like James suggests... there's going to be a very fine line separating us from them. Sinead always used to tell dad and me to remember that compassion is what keeps us grounded - what separates us from the Romanos." Conor awkwardly bit his lip. "Now, I couldn't have managed the last few months without the man, but if we do this, James needs to bear compassion in mind. He's successful because he can detach himself and make sacrifices or shitty decisions we wouldn't. But Alex is not the same as Vinnie or Angel. Neither are the Sullivans."

Conor spoke to her, telling her the honest truth about how he felt about Alex. As much as she wanted to be happy for her brother, it was terribly hard to do so. Not because of who Alex was related to, because Lucy was sure that this entire feud was turning into something more than just names, it came down to each individual person. But there was really now way for Conor to ever truly be happy with his relationship, the hardships of having to sneak around would surely come crashing down on him. Lucy nodded her head along as Conor explained his concerns for having James handling Alex. Lucy knew it was hard for herself to understand as to why Conor felt this way, but she saw a side of James that almost no one else did. James was cold and cut off from his emotions when work needed to be done, and this was definitely a time that something needed to be done.

Lucy sighed softly thinking about how exactly she could resolve this problem. It would be risky, but Lucy knew that in order to find Finn, it would have to be done. "I can do it." She spoke up suddenly, the long silence between the siblings as Lucy struggled for a plan was broken. "I mean, James will have to help me but...I can interrogate Alex." Lucy shifted in the chair she sat in, noting the apprehensive look that her brother was now giving her. Months ago, Lucy had loathed the girl, and wanted nothing more than to see her six feet under. But time had changed her, she no longer felt vengeful towards her. Now she felt as though on some level, they could relate, having both lost parents due to a war that neither of them had started.

"I won't hurt her Conor, the way I see it, the girl is just as innocent as the rest of us. Her father's actions do not reflect her.." Lucy stood up, walking up to her brother and placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know this is hard. Trust me. But Finn is our family and we can't leave family behind. If you trust me, let me talk to Alex and I can try and gather some information on to where Finn could be. "

Finn's eyes shot up to stare openly at L as he offered to give the young man a brief outline of what had happened to his parents. His heart began to beat heavily in his chest, as dread filled his thoughts. No one had ever offered a lick of information on what had happened to his parents, for no one really seemed to know. L confirmed this when he spoke of the police never finding out and most likely never knowing. Finn's fist clenched slightly as he listened the horrible words that came from the man's lips, looking down at the ground as he circled the chair Finn sat in.

Finn kept his eyes glued to the ground, not wanting to give the man the satisfaction of seeing him in such emotional distress. Tears began to brim the inner corner of his eyes, quickly fanning out and spilling over. The man snatched his shoulders suddenly, asking him if he had any inner demons. Finn was confused. The way the man talked about his family made it sound like...but it just couldn't be. "What the hell do you want from me?" Finn asked, his voice thick with tears as he thought about his parents having died because of him. "How the fuck do you know all of this? What does any of this have to do with me?" His words grew hoarser with anger and sadness, the tears were rapidly flowing down his cheeks now as his shoulders began to shake.

His breathing became even more shallow than before and caused him to cry out in pain as his broken ribs stabbed into his lungs. He clenched the armrest of the chair and squeezed his eyes shut, as if that was going to help him block all of this out.

Lorenzo patted his shoulders, gently flicking the next restraint free. This one released the upper portion of his body, including his arms. His mobility would still be limited, but he felt the man should be able to adjust himself accordingly.

Like I told you Finn, I don’t want anything from you. I just want to chat...” Tsking, he stopped abruptly in front of him, crouching down to become eye-level with him. “I knew your parents Finnian. They were good people, and it’s a shame you’ve never met them...” Clearing his throat, as if he was getting emotional, he placed a hand on Finn’s knee. “But as much as I loved your parents, it’s just painful for me that I have to do this to do...”

Walking away from Finn, and past Nicolo as if he wasnt there, he retrieved the knife that he had thrown earlier. Wiping it on his slacks, he made his way back to Finn. He handed him the knife, then tucked his hands casually in his pockets. His emerald eyes weren’t warm nor cold, but a gloomy medium. “You get a choice... You can kill me, but I have to many answers for your unsolved questions. Or you can use that on yourself, which I wouldn’t recommend and highly not advise.” He sighed, his eyes dipping into sadness. “It’s not my call Finnian, and if I did I wouldn’t have you here. Just know that your parents will respect either descion...”

Vinnie sent Athena the warmest of smiles when she greeted him. She was a sweet girl and one he cared about as though she were his own daughter. When he'd questioned her about whether she'd been hurt, he studied her face. Leo wasn't great at lying, but his fibs were passable. Athena, on the other hand, was terrible at it. She was clearly nervous and her laugh gave her away before anything else could. She told him she was with Leo and she maybe got hurt. Vinnie didn't like what he was hearing and he was never one to hold back if something irked him.

"Do you know what happened to Olivia on Valentine's Day?" he rhetorically asked. "Someone stabbed her and left her for dead. It was a message from the Sullivans - one that could have endangered more people I care about had I not received it. I can only protect people if I know they need protecting." Vinnie placed his hand on Athena's shoulder and pointed to the nearby corridor away from anyone who might listen. "You stay here, for now," he coldly ordered Leo. "I need to speak with Athena in private." Once Vinnie and Athena were away from anyone else, Vininie folded his arms and looked Athena in the eyes. "For whatever reason, Leo has taken it upon himself to lie to me. It's up to you to tell me the truth. What really happened that night?" he asked. His voice was stern but still gentle enough.

There had been a part of Conor that was hoping Lucy would have an idea that didn't involve Alex, but when she spoke up it became clear that this was their only plan. He walked over to his sister and pulled up a chair opposite her. It was mostly because this whole thing was getting to him so much that he needed to sit down. Lucy said she would do it, along with the help of James. He slowly nodded his head as listened to her, his eyes cast down towards the floor. This kind of betrayal was sure to put an end to his relationship with Alex, but if it meant getting Finn home it was a sacrifice he was going to have to make. One of many sacrifices he'd been force to make from the day he was born as the Sullivans' first son.

"I know you will need James' help and I trust you when you say you won't hurt her." He stood back up, unable to settle his restlessness. Lucy also stood and placed her hand on his shoulder. "I know you're right, Lucy. This has to be done to get Finn back. We just have to make sure this doesn't backfire and we don't stoop as low as the Romanos have done to us in the past."

Relief was obvious on Lucy's face as her brother told her that he trusted her. After the lies she had told and the consequences that followed it, she wasn't sure if she would be able to gain back her siblings trust. It was a breath of fresh air knowing that they were so forgiving...much like there younger sister had preached over and over again. Family was what kept them all human, without it...humanity was lost. The Romano's were not a family who stuck together, that much was clear. And it was shown in the actions of their leader. Lucy nodded her head when Conor told her he agreed with her. "If we treat that girl with anything put patience and respect the Romano's will have won, for we will have turned to the side of chaos. Our family promotes peace and dammit I would like to see it before I die, so perhaps all of this will be for more than just getting Finn back. " Lucy's words hung in the air for Conor to interpret as he pleased. Lucy was simply saying that this could be the beginning of the end for the feud between the Sullivan's and Romano's. Perhaps Lucy was approaching Conor's relationship all wrong. It was clear what also had to be done.

They needed to get Alex Romano on their side. If the girl was anything like Conor made her out to be, she would be able to see that everything her father is causing is not necessary. "Alright..."She sighed out, looking towards the door again before turning back to Conor..she stepped towards him and offered him a long and comforting hug before stepping away. "We should get back out there." Lucy stated simple before heading towards the door. Pausing briefly, she kept a firm grip on the door handle before turning slightly to glance back at her brother. "And Conor..."A small smile spread on her lips. "I'll make sure to put in the good word for you, if she truly loves you...she'll understand."

With that, Lucy opened the door and locked eyes with the group who was now hushed and staring at them, waiting for an answer. Lucy simply walked out of the staff room and moved back to sit beside Maggie, allowing Conor to address the group.

Finn's eyes snapped back open as soon as he heard the man's words. He had known his parents? Who was this man? Finn's eyes found L's as he crouched down eye level with him. ...Its a shame you've never met them...Finn couldn't, no, wouldn'tbelieve what this man was telling him. It had to be some sort of lie, something to trigger some sort of information out of him. What information could they possibly want from him? Finn's mind was in a state of panic as he scrambled to think about what this man wanted. Biting his lip, he kept his mouth shut as the man walked into the back corner behind him, Finn took advantage of the fact that he had released his upper body restraints, and turned to see what he was doing. That's when he noticed Nicolo. Not really seeing his face, but he saw the outline of a man in the dim light. Finn's head snapped back forward as he waited for L to make his round. Once he returned in front of him, he shoved the handle of the knife into his hand and spoke.

It was hard for Finn to fully grasp what the man was saying. His tears ceased for a moment as he thought hard, concentrating on this so called, "choice." It was a joke really, either way Finn wouldn't get anywhere with the information that he was receiving, either he would have to kill this man and receive no more information about his parents, or...L wanted Finn to kill himself? Finn's eyes squinted just thinking about this. He wouldn't be able to tell his sister, or cousin's of this information. It would die with him. Finn began to feel frustrated and his eyes searched his kidnappers. "Not much of a choice it seems." He said gruffly. "Why should I do either of these things?" The tears began to escape again and he quickly blinked them away, gripping the knife and watching the blade reflect the dim light of the room.

Lorenzo watched as Finns’s eyes flashed to Nicolo, something he knew would eventually happen, but he ignored it. Finn’s actions were critical at this stage, and his full attention was given to it.

It’s really not my friend and i’m sorry for it... My hands are tied here...” Implying that Nicolo was forcing him to do this, his eyes were the most telling part of Lorenzo’s act. They showed true sadness. Sadness conjured only from one event in his life, an event he longed to end himself for...

But your family so i’ve heard isn’t safe... And depending on the outcome it might virtually shift that.”
