Nicolo smirked when he mentioned the ultimatum "yeah that too could be effective" he agreed. Nicolo grabbed his jacket and followed his father out of the door , he smiled when his father gave orders to the two goons. Glad that the prick James was finally going to get what he deserves. As they made their way towards the casino, Nicolo turned to his dad a curious expression on his face "So why did you want the casino anyway?" He asked curiously, realising that he hadnt asked his father this question before.

Alex smiled at Conor "ah you never lost them handsome looks" she commented with a smirk. When he asked where she wanted to go, she gave him a little shrug "Im supposed to bebe at a work party but Im already late so I dont mind" she said. When he asked how she was Alex turned her head to look out the passenger window "Ah im alright" she lied through her teeth, Alex didn't really know how to answer that question.

Vinnie Romano

As they sat in the back of the car, with their driver taking them to the casino, Nicolo asked Vinnie why he wanted the casino. "I think the answer to that can be really quite simple. I didn't have it and I wanted it, so I took it," he told his son. "I've spent enough time there to see how much money it's bringing in and some of the regulars there can be very useful in the right situations." He sat back and smiled to himself. "It's one more place for us and one less for the Sullivans to get their grubby hands on."

As the car stopped outside the casino, Vinnie stepped out and waited for Nicolo to join him. Before they entered the building, he turned to look at his son, now away from prying ears. "How are you holding up?" he asked, obviously referring to his feelings since Gianna died. "You and Alexandra tell me you're doing alright, but I need to know that's the truth."

Conor chuckled as Alex told him he never lost his looks. "Missing out on work parties? You're not giving up the drink are you?" he half-joked. "How about a nice relaxing stroll and sit on the beach?" he asked her. He would have suggested the pier, but he already knew James and Lucy were planning on heading there, so that was completely out of the question.

When Alex told him she was alright, Conor let out an exaggerated laugh. "Are you Hell alright," he replied, briefly glancing to her before looking back to the road ahead. "I spend most of my days telling people I'm alright, so I can spot that lie a mile off. Tell me, honestly, Alex. No bullshit."

Lucy laughed at James' response to Conor changing things around at the pub. It seemed to be true, that was one thing her brother had gotten from their mother was the ability to keep a room looking up to date and fresh. Lucy surprisingly did not enjoy redecorating as much as one would have thought, as long as it was kept in good condition, it was good for her. She took a drink and felt, James' hand on her back rubbing light circles. Turning around to face him, she smiled softly. "Let's go sit down hmm?" Noticing that he seemed to be getting stuck in his thoughts. She waved to her cousins, letting them know that she was going to go sit and walked towards the table.

Pulling him in the direction of the quiet corner of the pub, she sat down in a chair and waited for him to take a seat before speaking. "You know...You could have gone tonight." She took another drink and set the glass down on the table before leaning back in her chair. "I know I said I was afraid of what could happen to you...but I don't want that to keep you from doing the things you wish to do."

When Lucy suggested they went to sit down, James turned to her and gave a reluctant smile. "Are you sure?" he asked her. He didn't want to feel like he was dragging her away from her cousins and he really didn't mind being lost in his thoughts, as long as nobody else minded it. He sent her cousins an apologetic look, before allowing Lucy to pull him to a quiet table..

James took a seat next to her and placed his glass down on the table. He looked to her face as she spoke to him and he sighed. "I know I could have gone tonight, but I chose to come out with you instead. Work is all I ever do, so it just takes me a bit of time to be able to switch off from it," he tried to explain. "I just want to spend a normal evening, doing normal things with the woman I love. The last few weekends have been really shitty for you and I don't want you worrying about me tonight. I want you to have fun." He took a drink from his glass and smiled. "I am enjoying myself, Lucy. I know I'm not as talkative as I should be in a group, but I'm still having a good time, I promise."

Lucy blushed slightly, he had clearly caught on to the fact that she worried about James. He wanted to her have fun, but what he didn’t know was that she was having a good time. “I am having a good time, love. Its just since this is really only our second official date, I would like to spend it with you.” Lucy flashed him a beautiful smile before looking towards where her cousins continued to talk.

“I’m sure those young rascals aren’t going anywhere.” She laughed, making herself sound like she was a grandmother compared to them. “I am glad that you decided to take some time from work and focused on you tonight…I would’ve been awfully lonely tonight if ya hadn’t.” And it was true, Lucy didn’t have anything else going on and if James hadn’t mentioned going on a date and went on the job, she would have been stuck at home reading and snuggling with Lady. Which didn’t sound to terrible either, but she is happiest with James.

James smiled as Lucy explained how she was feeling and that she was glad he'd taken time off to go on a second date with her. "We can't have a gorgeous lady like you feeling lonely on a Friday night... or any night. If you really want to spend this date with me, how about we finish up our drinks and pay that visit to the pier? I shouldn't admit it, but I'm kind of looking forward to it," he said, flashing a boyish kind of smile. "Like you said, those three rascals look settled enough for the night, and Harry is smart enough to keep an eye on them if there is any kind of trouble," he said, referring to typical pub fights rather than any sort of gangster troubles.

As he finished his drink he looked into Lucy's eyes and smiled. He would never get tired of looking at her beautiful face. It was in that moment that he felt like one of the luckiest guys alive. He sometimes wondered if he deserved her at all after the bad things he'd done, but the fact she knew about much of it and still wanted to be with him made it all seem right. "Come on, love," he said, standing up and fastening his jacket. "Let's go see some clowns," he said, with a playful wink. He would give her chance to tell her cousins they were heading out, before linking his arm with hers.

Lucy smiled widely and laughed as James gave her a boyish looking grin and expressed his excitement for going to the pier. “You should always admit it, I think its adorable.” She laughed again, looking to her cousins again as he mentioned them. She knew they would be in good hands with Harry here, giving a nod in response to James’ words.

She finished her drink in another small sip and set the glass down on the table. James smiled at her again and it made her cheeks turn the slightest bit pink. Only his smiles seemed to do that to her, and she loved it more than anything else in the world. Lucy stood after he did and she gave him a playful glare as he mentioned clowns and winked. “Prepare for me to turn into a 7 year old all over again Mr. Porter, it will not be pretty.” She teased before moving to say goodbye to her cousins, “Be good and stay out of trouble ya here? We are going to the pier if you need us.” With that, she linked arms with James and they walked out the door together.

The night air was still chilly and she moved closer to James as the darkness of the night gave them some sort of privacy.

Aidan shot a friendly smile at Maggie as he heard the girl speak to him. "Hey Mags, nice to see you." He mused. It was nice to see a couple familiar faces. The boy had taken a bit of a break from the business side of the family for a bit per his parents request. But nevertheless, seeing family brought a smile to his lips. Upon attaining his glass of Scotch, he took a sip before turning his attention back to Maggie.
He listened as she told him the two siblings had come across certain circumstances that required them to settle in town. He nodded, "Well, it's great to see you two again." He smiled.
Aidan noticed Finn seemed to be a little too cheery tonight. Aidan had always known Finn to be positive but he was almost overwhelmingly so.
When Mags spoke on not knowing what to do with Finn, an amused smirk grew on his face. The boy did seem to be a bit out of it. "That's Finn for ya." He chuckled.

It was then that Lucy complimented Maggie on her hair. Which in turn, caused the girl to blush. He laughed softly, she was always a shy thing.
"Oh Mags, take a compliment." He playfully smiled.
He turned to Finn as he asked him about himself. Aidan lightly grinned, the last bit causing a chuckle. Aidan was always known to cause trouble, whether in school or everyday life. But that was a given with this family. Trouble seemed to follow the Sullivans.
"I've been good. I finally got my own place. No more living with the parents. Mom was a crying mess when I left even though I only live six blocks away." He voiced, chuckling. Everyone knew Aid was a bit of a Mama's boy and Aid was the light of his mother's life.
The boy smiled, running hand through his short, wavy curls.

Athena Archer

Leo then told her how his day had been on the drive.
That's understandable. I'm always worrying for the Romanos." Athena said, with a light nervous chuckle escaping her mouth. It was true though. Her nerves were an all time high when it came to the Romanos, always worrying that something bad might occur.

Once they had bought an overload of cotton candy, the two found a bench to sit and eat. To make it less-complicated to eat. Athena sat next to Leo, in her hand a cone of pink cotton candy. She turned to Leo as he asked which ride she wanted to try first. "Hmm. I don't know." Athena murmured, glancing around. She heard the happy laughs of children playing.
A light smile formed on her lips. Her eyes caught sight of one of the most popular rides of the pier. "Oh, how about we try out the Pacific wheel?" Athena suggested. The wheel was lit up by colorful lights and so far, the only Ferris wheel to ever have colorful lights continue during the ride.
Athena glanced at Leo as she took a bit out of the cotton candy that she held. He mentioned attending a Halloween party in a few party. Leo told her that he would go as a vampire undoubtedly.
"I'd dress as a pirate or maybe a cowgirl." Athena spoke with a light smile appearing.

Alex laughed "like id live if I went too long without Alcohol, I think my body would just give up" she laughed. "Yeah the beach sounds lovely" she smiled. She hadnt been to the beach in years, she used to love going down there with the family but as they got older everything began to change and they stopped doing family outings. When he told her to cut the crap, Alex turned to look at him and sighed before shrugging her shoulders "I dont know, my heads just a mess. I just feel like everything bad that happens always somehow comes back to being my fault. I don't know I cant sleep, I cant eat, I just I dont know" she sighed "and Angel constantly making digs and having go's at me is not helping" she muttered quietly.

Nicolo nodded at what his dad said "yeah I suppose thats a good enough reason, very beneficial for us" he commented in a buisness like manner. When they reached the casino, Nicolo walked beside his father and raised an eyebrow when he pulled him aside. "Ah its hard and I miss her and yeah when I see her stuff or enter the house its just different" he said with a frown "but Im doing ok, Im keeping busy" he said honestly. Nicolo then frowned "Alex on the otherhand Im not sure. Im happy she's not that heartless bitch anymore but I really dont know how she is"

Angel leaned his weight on the hood of the car, staring off at the city. "I dunno. When my life feels clustered, and I'm dragging too many problems; I come out here. It makes me feel small," Angel pointed out to one of the many buildings. "See those. Every light belongs to an office cubicle, where someone's just about to go home," he looked down at Sinead, first at her lips and then back at her. "They've probably got a wife waiting for them at home, maybe some kids."

He cleared his throat looking back at the city, "It makes all our issues seem so pointless. The Sullivan's, the Romano's, the drugs, the guns, yatta', yatta', yatta'. Y'know, it doesn't matter." He looked back at her again, his lips inches from hers. "Come with me. Leave this all behind. You're too good to be mixed up in this crowd. I wanna get you away from all of this. A woman like you doesn't deserve this kind of... misery."

He found himself leaning in once more, drawn to her like a fly to fire. At first it was a reassuring peck, but his passion for her quickly engrossed his emotions. He soon found himself wrapping his arms around her and lifting her off the ground. His heart had seemingly beat to life for the first time.

As they walked, there was a chill in the air, so James allowed Lucy to get as close to him as she wanted. Not that she needed an excuse, he was happy for her to be up close to him regardless of the weather. He spent so much time driving around the city it felt weird to see everything whilst moving much slower. He thought he'd memorised every part of the city, but new things were now popping out at him. It was also strange to see the distance of the pier lights for so long, they usually became a reality in no time at all.

Once the did arrive at the pier, he stopped and turned to Lucy. "What do you want to do first? I'm up for any and all of it. You can lead the way, love," he told her. The atmosphere was great. Flashing lights, sickly sweet smells, people happily enjoying themselves. There were also people dressed in costumes, but James sighted no clowns as yet.

Lucy walked beside James in the night as they took in everything that would have been normally passed without a glance in the car. It was nice walking and seeing everything at night. There was a bit more people on the streets than usual but they all seemed to be making their way over to the pier as well. She stayed huddled close to James as the familiar pier lights came into view causing her to smile happily. Halloween was in full effect here and she knew that at some point she was going to have to face her those clowns sent from the deepest and darkest pits of hell. Maybe they should bare the last name Romano...

The pier was full of life tonight and Lucy was actually excited to be apart of it all. James stopped and turned to her, informing her that she could lead the way to whatever she wanted to do. A childlike grin appeared on her face as her wide eyes took in everything. "I don't even know where to begin here!" She laughed and looked around. As far as she could tell there wasn't a damned clown in sight, and that pleased her even more. "We should try and win a ball for Lady hmmm?" She asked him, recalling that he had promised to bring her back one. "I bet those muscly arms are good for more than just messing up some bad guys." Lucy teased him and squeezed his bicep before leading the way towards one of the booths that had the ball that Lady would be ecstatic to have.

James Porter

When Lucy reminded him about winning a ball for Lady, James enthusiastically nodded his head. "Yes! Lady deserves a new toy," he agreed. When Lucy commented on his muscles and gave his bicep a squeeze, James playfully grinned. "Oh yeah. They've got so many uses. So, if you ever need picking up and carrying off upstairs..." he remarked, with a playful wink. Lucy led him to a booth named 'High Striker'. It was one of those strongman things where he would have to hit the round puck with a mallet at hard as he could. "Oh, great. Now you're going to realise I'm all talk," he said, pretending to be nervous. He handed over some cash before taking the mallet. He struck the round disc with the mallet and managed to get a pretty decent result. "How's that?" he said, turning back to Lucy and flexing his muscles. When the guy working the stand pointed out the prizes he could choose from, James shook his head and picked out a ball which was a prize for a lower score. Lady had been promised that ball. Tossing the pink ball between his hands, he looked to Lucy and smiled. "I hope she likes it. I don't think I could take Lady's disappointed little face," he joked.

James then looked over his shoulder and pointed to the flashy Ferris wheel. "Come on, that's next!" he enthusiastically told her. "I reckon it's got a great view of the lake." Of course, he expected Lucy would already know that. He'd just not had chance to do this kind of thing in a very long time, if at all. Even when his dad had taken him here when he was a boy, James didn't get much fun out of it as the man was usually conducting business with James brought along to wipe away any suspicion.

Leo caught Athena's smile and returned it as she mentioned the Ferris wheel. "Yes! That is the best idea," he agreed. He put some more cotton candy into his mouth and ate it before speaking again. "Why should the kids have all the fun, eh?" he rhetorically asked.

"Oh wow..." he began, as she told him which costumes she would wear. He collected his thoughts as he screwed up the empty cotton candy packaging. "Seriously, you would make both an amazing pirate and an amazing cowgirl. I think you should do it." He waited until she had finished her sweet before standing up. "Come on, then. Let's get on that wheel!"

As he led Athena towards the ride, he caught a glimpse of the familiar man standing by the hotdog stand. He was grateful that the man hadn't seen him and he quickly turned his head and veered off their path slightly. The last thing he wanted was for his father to ruin their date or even try to drag him into his shifty business. "Sorry, um...." he muttered. "You okay?" he asked her, trying to distract from thinking about his father.

Sinead Sullivan

When Angel explained this was where he liked to go to get away from his problems and cluttered life, Sinead understood where he was coming from. Her escape was playing the piano or singing. When he started speaking about the office workers and them probably having a family, a normal life, she looked into his eyes. She found what he was saying quite beautiful and romantic, whether or not that had been his intention.

Angel then mentioned how their lives among the gangs was pointless. She slowly nodded her head and felt her heart skip a beat as she realised how close his face was to hers. Then he told her to leave everything behind and go with him, to escape the misery that was their lives. She tried to collect her thoughts and process what he'd just said to her, but then he gave her a peck on the lips, which soon turned into a passionate kiss. When he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her off the ground, Sinead felt the warmest and happiest she had in a long time. She'd always dreamed of being swept off her feet by some handsome man and here it was, now a reality.

When the kiss ended and Angel released her so her feet were once again touching the ground, she tightly wrapped her arms around him for a short time, still trying to make sense of things. Eventually, she let go and took a step back to look him in the eyes. She folded her arms tightly around herself as she felt nervous about the idea. "I would love to come with you and to have a normal life. A life away from all of this awfulness," she told him, quickly nodding her head. "I just... I can't just leave my family like that. They would never understand - how could they? I love Conor and Lucy, they're..." she began, but couldn't get the rest of her words out before she started crying. She suddenly felt so torn. Angel was offering her the life she wanted and she felt like she could happily spend it with him. But her family would never understand. They would want her to be happy and if that meant leaving the city she was sure they would support her. But they wouldn't support her and Angel, she was under no illusion about that.

Maggie shook her head at Aidan's comment with a bashful smile. She was never gonna get used to things like that. Never~ She turned her attention to her brother, then back to Aidan. She too, was interested to find out what the "slightly" younger Sullivan had been up to. All of her hoped it was something much better than what she had come up with. The thought of such a beautiful boy like Aidan throwng his talents away pained Maggie, literally. For just a moment, she was frowning at the counter. But that quickly diminished itself, as her eyes flicked back up to Aidan in pure interest. She smiled continuously upon hearing his situation, and gave a short laugh at the mention of his mother. Although Maggie had unfortunately not visited her for some time she was able to imagine the poor woman's distress. It just made her laugh some more. Her cousin was lucky to have a mother, unlike some, and one especially, who saw nothing but the good in her quickly growing child. 'I'm sure you'll visit your poor ma' won't you?' , she asked, smiling.
'In fact, you think perhaps she might appreciate some extra company one day? It's been a while~.' She went out on a hopeful whim, but despite the mild seriousness of the question kept her somewhat cheeky smile. Maggie let her eyes wander over the pub for a moment, to quickly observe the space, make a mental note. Nothing seemed to be out of place in that moment. In the next, her orbs returned to AIdan.

Angel frowned when Sinead stepped back. The last thing he wanted to see was her upset. "Hey, it's okay," Angel stepped closer to her, lifting her chin so she was looking at him, "I know you need to be here right now. It's just a nice thought, that's all." He gave her a reassuring smile, "C'mere," he pulled her in, hugging her tight. He hated to see the beautiful girl cry, it tugged at his heart strings like nothing else could. "I care about you, so much. I hate the fact that I'm forced to despise you and your family. In reality, Sinead, I love you."

Down in the city, he had to be something. He had to be the meaniest, the toughest, the sickest man in Chicago. He had to be the Grim Reaper. Up here, with her, he didn't have to be anything. He could laugh, he could cry, he could be human.

Conor chuckled when Alex mentioned she wouldn't survive without alcohol. "I think they call that an addiction. You probably need help. As do I..." he said, knowing how rarely he went without alcohol himself. Even Vinnie's sickening punishment, which still haunted Conor, didn't manage to put him off beer. When she admitted her head was a mess, Conor nodded sympathetically. "You lost your mother, you're bound to feel like that. My head's a mess too. We really aren't that much different, are we?" he told her.

He parked the car up near to the small beach. He didn't make an attempteto get out of the car, instead turning to face her to focus on the other things she had said. "I think you'll find that everything bad that happens in your life comes back to your father. Whether you love him or not, he's the root cause of the shit you're going through." Conor wasn't intending on making Alex feel bad or speaking ill of her father, but he couldn't have her blaming herself for everything bad in her life when Vinnie was to blame. He frowned as he thought about Angel. "Why is he having a go at you? Wasn't having me beaten and tortured satisfying enough for him? Why does he need to start making your life Hell too?" he asked. Of all the Romanos, Conor had believed Angel was an okay guy. That was until Alex told him it was Angel who planned for Conor to be beaten and dragged to his torture.

When Angel lifted her chin, Sinead looked into his eyes as he spoke to her, trying her best to stop anymore tears or upset from showing. When he reassured her and hugged her tightly, she closed her eyes and fought back any further crying. "I wish you didn't have to hate my family and that they could know you, Giovanni..." she began. She fell silent as she realised he'd told her he loved her. Hearing those words made her feel warm and happy, but even more conflicted. When it came down to it, she knew she loved him too. Since that breakfast they'd shared weeks ago, he'd never been out of her mind. Even when she didn't see him for weeks and all she heard about him from her family were negative words, she still felt a strange warmth whenever she thought about him. Their date to the theatre last week had certainly sealed the deal for her. "I love you too," she told him, before kissing his cheek as they continued to hug.

When they parted from the hug, Sinead held both of Angel's hands in hers and replaced her sadness with a bright smile. "Leaving with you is a nice thought and something I would like to do, but I need more time," she told him, biting her lip as she slowly nodded. She glanced away for a brief time before looking back to Angel. "Why do you have to keep hating my family? Stop working for Vinnie and let him fix the problems he's created for himself. The man is a monster," she told him. Deep down, she knew it wasn't so easy for anyone to just walk away from Vinnie. She was well aware Kate was on Vinnie's hitlist for walking away from the Romano business.

Thinking so much of her own family and how difficult leaving them would be, she looked to Angel curiously. "Do you have any family?" she suddenly asked.

Sandro Davide

As he sat near the hotdog stand, Sandro lit up a cigarette and let his eyes wander around the pier, but remained oblivious to his son, Leo, walking nearby. He kept a casual expression on his face, making it look like he was partaking in a spot of people-watching, but in reality he was waiting for one of his contacts to find him so they could secure the deal. Sandro had stashed away the cash and wouldn't hand anything over until the weapons had been loaded into his own car. The man in question soon arrived and took a seat next to Sandro so they could discuss the handover. "It's a nice evening, Walter," Sandro began. "Is everything good to go?"

David O'Donovan

Untitled.png
David and Peter had parked James' car up a short walk from the Ferris wheel and from where they knew the weapons were going to be exchanged. Peter would be stealing Walter's car, along with the weapons, and David would follow behind in James' car. Leaving the dented Chrysler behind for now, David and Peter began walking towards where Walter's and Sandro's vehicles were parked. Two men stood guarding Walter's vehicle, which had the weapons packed into the drunk. As if it were the most casual thing in the World, David and Peter each walked up to one of the two men and aimed their guns at their heads. "Are the keys inside the car?" David calmly asked one of the goons.

Angel knew Sinead wouldn't just get up and leave her life behind. It was an idea he meant to just fantasize in his head. Even he knew he couldn't just disappear. Angel let go of her hands, scooping up a couple of pebbles by the headlights. "Any blood relatives? No," Angel leaned on the hood, skipping the pebbles down the hill, "I'm an only child, never knew my dad, and my mamma' moved back to Italy after I dropped outta' high school. The only relative who ever cared about me was my uncle - may he rest in peace." He looked back up to Sinead, shrugging lightly, "In a way, Vinnie is really the only family I ever had. He's the only person who believed in me, even when I didn't. His daughters are my sisters, his sons are my brothers. I mean, he's basically the father I never had. I know if he had to choose to save me or Monte, he wouldn't think twice; but sometimes I like to think he'd at least hesitate," Angel realized he was trailing off, knowing Sinead hadn't asked for his life story.

"Anyways," he said, clearing his throat, "I really don't have a choice, but to be sworn enemies with your family. Other than that, i'm great with the parents," He said in a joking manner. "In a way, these are my problems too; and if Vinnie is a monster - than I sure as hell am as well." Still sitting on the hood, he grabbed Sinead's hand; pulling her to him so she was between his legs. He rubbed her hand with his thumb, looking to her hand and then back up to her. "But let's forget about this mess for a little. I know you can't just take off and leave with me out of the city, but how about just back to my apartment?" He asked with a smile.

Lucy's cheeks turned red when he mentioned his arms had many uses, offering to carry her upstairs with a wink. She smiled and followed him over to one of the booths. He pretend to be nervous with her as he informed her that he was all talk, laughing Lucy shook her head. "You can do it!" She said happily and watched him. He had been able to get a large prize but refused as the ball was the only thing they needed for the young pup who waited patiently at home for them to return. "She will love it James, I just know it!" She smiled happily and looked as he pointed to the ferris wheel.

She clapped happily and nodded her head. "Of course! lets go!" Lucy was enjoying the many different reactions that James was having to everything going on. He was so much more talkative when around her and it was something that she treasured. Not many people got to see this side of him and she was lucky that she could. "Come on!" She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the ferris wheel. After buying a ticket to ride they were then waiting in line. "The ferris wheel has always been one of my favorite things to do here." Lucy revealed. "You can see city lights for miles and miles, and its just so beautiful." She said. Once they were ushered onto the little chair. She tucked the ball in between them before linking her arm with his and taking his hand. "And this is the only area that wouldn't be clown infested."

Finn laughed slightly as Aidan mentioned his mother being a crying mess since he left. Finn had never really gotten to know what that felt like. He and Mags had been taken in by a close family friend when they were younger. Looking to his sister as she responded to Aidan, her response made him a bit sad. The poor girl didn't get to have parents who would constantly fuss about her and make a scene if she were to move out. She didn't have the option of bringing a boy home to meet the parents to gain their approval. Sure, Finn was around, but he couldn't be the parent that she might have wanted. He was her brother.

Finn looked to Aidan and gave him an easy going smile, nodding along with what his sister had said. "Yes yes, you have to visit her Aidan. Although it seems a bit ridiculous that she is crying even though you are only six blocks away, you must remember that she raised you for 18 years in the same home. You were with her all the time. Its a big adjustment. And women definitely get a little more emotional about that stuff...No offense Mags." Finn looked to his sister and chuckled. "I know this one flips out if I leave for a day or two, especially if I don't call right away."

Finn moved down the bar for a moment and just scanned the area, much like his sister had done a few moments before. He was paranoid in all honesty. He wanted to make sure the bar stayed in the condition it was in now. He would be disappointed if anything were to happen, even if it was out of his control. After a moment of quietly observing, he turned back to his sister and Aidan and smiled again. "Conor keeps this place rather nice hmm?"

Sinead listened as Angel explained that he had no blood relatives. She always knew she was lucky to have the family she did have, even if Carrick didn't like her and her mother was often off-hand with her. Her blood relatives and the likes of Luca and James were always there for her. She hated Vinnie, but that didn't make Angel's feeling towards the man any less valid. Everyone needed someone they could call family and someone to believe in them. She flashed him a sheepish smile and nodded her head. "I hope he would at least hesitate too," she agreed. She didn't mind him telling her about himself. Even without the things she told him, she figured Angel already knew a lot about her purely through the Romanos' conflict with the Sullivans.

Sinead sighed as Angel said he didn't have any choice about being an enemy of the Sullivans. She smiled at his joke about being good with parents. It went without saying that wouldn't be the case with Emmet and Shannon. When Angel suggested he was a monster, Sinead looked away. She didn't see a monster when she was with Angel. She looked back to him when he took her hand and pulled her so she was standing between his legs.

When Angel asked her to go back to his apartment with him, Sinead hesitated a little. It wasn't because she didn't trust him, as he'd proved by now he wasn't trying to kidnap or kill her like she often feared Vinnie would do. She'd just never been asked back to a guy's place before so it caught her off-guard a little. She looked to him and shyly smiled. "Yes, let's go hang out at your place," she agreed, her smile growing brighter. She picked her wine glass up from the hood of the car and finished drinking what was left before getting back into the vehicle.

James laughed as Lucy grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the Ferris wheel. It worried him at first that he might become weak, but now he loved the way Lucy was able to bring him out of his shell and allow him to have fun. He'd always kept his feelings bottled up so he could be cold and indifferent, as if being that way was the only way he could do his job. But now he realised loving someone didn't make him any weaker - if anything, it made him more determined to protect Lucy and her family. He listened as she explained this ride was a favourite thing at the pier and she had him excited to see the view of the city. James let Lucy slide into the seat first and then he sat next to her. "Definitely no clowns here. Unless they're circus clowns - I imagine being acrobatic means they can climb Ferris wheels," he teased her. He shuffled closer as they linked arms and kissed the side of her head.

As the ride started, James found himself looking across at the city with great excitement. He enjoyed pointing out the places he recognised and how different everything seemed from where they were right now. "The lake looks amazing with the streetlights and the moonlight reflecting on the water," he spoke aloud, perhaps not even intending to say that. "Funnily enough, looking at the lake is making me crave the ocean. It's been a while since I last drove out to any coast. We'll have to do that some time," he suggested to Lucy.

James rested his head against Lucy's as they continued to go round on the wheel. He was finding it all quite relaxing and he wasn't sure he'd want to get off when the ride did end. As he looked out to the side, James had to double-take when he looked downwards. Across from the rides and crowds, he saw the cars parked up. More to the point, he saw David and Peter holding their guns up against the heads of two other men. He'd stared for long enough that when he decided to look away and pretend he hadn't seen anything, Lucy would have noticed what he'd been looking at. He'd taken the night off and he wasn't ending his date with Lucy. He decided they were big enough to look after themselves.

Lucy smiled as the ride began and they were carried up and around the giant wheel. Taking in the beautiful sights, she looked with James as he pointed out some of the familiar areas of the city and mentioned that looking at the lake made him crave the ocean. She too hadn't been to any of the coastal regions in quite some time, so when he suggested they should go at some point, it made her smile widely and nod her head. "Oh that would be lovely!" She told him as they continued to stare out at the beautiful night. Their heads rested together as they continued on and she looked out to wards the pier and down below at the crowds.

She couldn't remember the last time that she could just have fun without having to worry. She tried, of course, to do this last week with her siblings, but some whack jobs with guns had decided to ruin it. The night was still young however and as she glanced over James' way, she saw him staring intently at people down below. Raising an eyebrow, she could make out David and Peter and guns that were pointed at someone's head. James looked away after a moment and seemed to hope that Lucy didn't see a thing. Well she had.

"Seems like they are busy tonight hmmm?" She asked lightly and looked out in the other direction of the wheel, not wanting to see someone get killed if that's what their intentions were. "Wonder if those boys ever get any time off, seems like they are always busting someone's ass." She chuckled to herself, trying to make light of a situation that didn't seem to be very good. Lucy was still certainly enjoying herself, and would not let that sight spoil her fun.

Maggie looked up at Finn while he spoke to Aidan, nodding along to his words. 18 precious long years would do that to anyone. She guffawed slightly at him, and gave a playful shove of his shoulder for his comment. 'You can bet your ass that I do Finnian Sullivan.' She gave a small shake of her head and briefly turned her attention to a wet glass behind the bar. She picked it up to give it a once over with the dry towelette in her hand. She glanced at inn, noticing Finn's subtle actions and nodding to herself silently. 'He sure does~.' She had to admit, for a pub, in a town like theirs, Connor's ability to keep this establishment up to the best standards he Of course, it wasn't without the help of Harry, Cassie and Finn and others.

Angel nodded with a smile when she agreed, releasing her hand. He moved for the driver's seat, before pealing off of the hill. Driving into the city was a little depressing for Angel. It was so nice to be outside of the zone, it was almost like stepping into a plot of radiation. Having Sinead by his side, however, made all the difference. He pulled into his usual spot, a couple of blocks from his apartment.

As he walked down the sidewalk, he intertwined Sinead's hand with his. He smiled down to her as he walked. "Look at this, a beautiful woman going home with a two-bit gangster. I must've done something incredible to get this kind of karma." The streets were pretty empty at this time, although children's laughter could be heard echoing down the road. Angel hated the nostalgic sound. Not that he had a problem with kids, it more just gave him the creeps. He tensed up a bit, but still kept his cool, pushing it to the back of his head. As they neared his apartment block, he was able to hear voices from behind the wall. Angel quickly raised his finger to silence Sinead as he hushed his steps. "When they come around the corner, i'm gonna blast 'em," the voice whispered from behind the wall. They sounded fairly young, but Angel was already on high alert. He slowly pulled Sinead behind him as he reached into his coat. Gripping his pistol in it's holster, he crept ever so slowly towards the wall. He assumed this was going to be an attempted revenge-whack for slaying Albert. "Of course it has to be now..." Angel thought to himself as he gritted his teeth. "Now!" The voice yelled. Angel was caught off guard by how high pitched the voice was. He was soon met with the barrel of a Super Soaker. The kid brutally let off slugs of water into Angel's perfectly clean, white shirt. The kids' faces instantly reddened as they had seemingly not hit their intended target. "Sorry, mista'." The kid with the water gun said, looking to the concrete. Angel had his shoulders by his head, as he looked down to his soaked shirt. He was too relieved to be the slightest bit aggravated, letting out a sigh. The kids quickly ran past them, disappearing down the street. He looked to Sinead chuckling lightly as he shook his head. "One thing I should mention; this complex is infested with kids."

He reached his apartment on the fifth floor. Sliding his key into the undisturbed house, he let Sinead move inside first. He flicked on the lights to reveal a fairly modern house. It had a brilliant view of the city, it's windows capturing every light it possibly could. "Make yourself at home." Angel said as he put the wine bottle in the fridge.
