So, Arturo and Troy were there when hell broke loose that Halloween night. Kind of. They were actually outside, far across from the house party that nearly everyone from school was going to. Arturo and Troy were trekking around town, trick-or-treating for free candy because, heck, people were giving away free candy, and their 90s Robin and Superboy costumes were worthy for any cosplay contest at San Diego Comic-Con. And they were about to go inside the house for the party—well, at least Troy wanted to, for the free food that was there, because all that walking made him hungry, even though he’d eaten dinner less than two hours ago.

While the two argued with each other about crashing the Halloween party, they heard something else literally crashed from inside the house. They didn’t know what was actually happening inside the house, but whatever happened sounded bad enough to make the area have actual snow falling a month too early. Troy wanted to check it out, but Arturo insisted it would be a bad idea, especially when the police would show up soon... and after Troy tore down a mailbox nearby just by bumping into it just a tad... So, they just carefully ran away from the scene without anyone noticing.

Arturo told Troy to investigate the party on Twitter during the weekend, but Troy didn’t really understand how social media worked and his computer nerd pal was too busy with his own stuff to teach him. All he learned was that Kash’s house was destroyed. Yikes.

Now it was Monday. School resumed as if the unnatural disaster from the Halloween party didn’t happen. At least it seemed that way. Troy and Arturo pedaled on their bikes to school like every other weekday, except the latter looked distant along the way. Arto had looked more distracted since last month. He’d already theorized a connection between his mother’s disappearance (as well as others in town) and the night of the weird stars, but he was stuck—he still had no clue what really happened.

Arto was so absorbed with his thoughts while walking in the hallway, but he managed to hear what Troy was saying when they opened their lockers, probably to catch his attention.

“Yeah, so when I’m eighteen, she’ll be twenty-two. It’ll be okay between us.”

Arturo knit his brows together as he stared at the short freshman. “Dude, she’s your sister.”

“My adoptive sister,” Troy corrected, stowing away a couple of textbooks in his locker. “We’re not related by blood at all, so it’s perfectly fine and legal… I think.”

“I don’t know…”

“Hey, if you had met, you’d understand how I feel.” Troy paused, thinking for a couple of seconds. “On second thought, don’t meet her. I don’t want any competition.” Too bad whoever his adoptive older sister might be dating in college wouldn’t think of Troy much as a “competition,” Arturo almost blurted. It was a little harsh but still true.

Angela and Alexander Cariou ✦

"Shit, shit, shit, shit shit", Alex muttered to himself as he hopped around his room trying to pass his leg through the opening of his jeans. He was late, incredibly so. Something that, despite his hatred for all things academic and his tendency to skip, he wasn't used to. Most days, Angie would wake up early to pick out her outfit and makeup for the day and would wake him up. With Angie gone and completely unreachable (not that Alex had tried to reach her, he wasn't suicidal), however, the responsibility had fallen onto him. And, of course, he'd managed to screw that up too.

The rest of the house had already gone to work or school by the time Alex had managed to dress himself and shove his supplies into his backpack. By the plates in the kitchen and the mess in the dining room table, it was made clear that he'd missed breakfast. After briefly considering just not going to school just so he could eat breakfast with the added bonus of not having to deal with the aftermath of the party and the gossip that was sure to follow his fight with Fletcher, Alex grabbed a slice of bread, toasted it for a fragment of a second, and ran out with the food still in his mouth.

The worst part of being late wasn't his attendance record suffering, or the problems he'd have back home for being "irresponsible and yada yada". It was missing the bus and any friends who would've been willing to pick him up. The school itself wasn't too far, but the 25 minutes it took to jog from the house to his school were enough to wind anyone down. Regardless of physical ability and overall good shape. By the time he'd reached the campus, he could feel the sweat beads running down his back and into his clothes. He didn't even want to think of how bad the smell was. As soon as he stopped to catch his breath, it happened. What he'd feared since that god-forsaken party. People -- some of whom he'd never even met- started asking him about what happened. Eager to get all the juicy gossip before the rest of the school did. Alex tried his hardest to evade all the questions, throwing around the usual "we were drunk and nothing happened excuse" before he saw a friendly face not too far from where he was. Lex, who he at least knew wouldn't ask too many stupid questions about the party they'd both gone to.

"Lex, my man! How's it going?" he exclaimed as he left the others behind and walked up to him, roughly laying a firm hand down on his shoulder as a greeting.

The sound of his voice resulted in a disapproving glare from Angie, who'd reached the school not too long ago in the most fabulous, over the top way only she and Oliver could pull off (she had to remind herself to come to school with Oliver more often, it would be a long time before she was tired of being driven around in fancy cars everywhere). In retrospect, Alex bringing home Aria, while incredibly infuriating, had brought along many positives. Mainly, the perfect excuse to stay in at Oliver's so they could talk more about that group of his. A group that after a couple of calls with the higher ups and other team members, she was happily a part of. While the rest of their classmates had stayed at other's homes, partying and talking about the fiasco that was Halloween, they'd been hard at work. Reviewing Oliver's cellphone footage from the party to figure out who had powers and what those powers were capable of. They hadn't gotten as many powers as they wished on camera, but those they did were more than impressive. And now, their plan could finally be set to motion.

"He couldn't have chosen anything more basic? It's like he needs me to dress him," she commented dryly. Pointing at her brother and his disheveled appearance. Another advantage of staying at Oliver's - having a friend as stylish as she was who could help her pick out what was best for the day. She'd chosen an outfit darker than what she was used to, only because she felt it gave her an extra aura of mystery that would go along with the greatest accessory of them all; gossip from the most talked about event in their school's history.

While others preferred to keep the details from that night as secret as possible, Angie basked in the extra attention she'd been getting since then. Playing along and feeding into everyone's conspiracy theories, no matter how crazy and outrageous. At some point, she'd even suggested that Aria had been the one responsible for spiking the drinks and make everyone start seeing shit. No bases, no evidence, just a really strong need of seeing her enemy in the dirt. Not to mention, the more everyone focused on those theories, the least people focused on what actually happened and they could continue doing their work in peace, completely undetected by those who had no idea what was coming for them.

"Right, so," Angie pulled out her phone as she spoke, discreetly showing Oliver their list of suspects. "Who are we going for first? Alaina's a friend, sorta, and Ricky's friends with Alex. I say we go after people we've got connections with first, then focus on the others."

"i explode shit."

Once he'd said those words it was like a weight had been lifted off of Ricky's chest. The silence that followed with Atticus deep in thought for whatever reason made Ricky feel like for once Atti would take something serious. But as a usual, everything was a fucking joke to him. The other boy burst out in laughter, and Ricky found himself staring dumbfound at his bushy-haired friend.

While he was usually relaxed and nonchalant, Ricky was evidently far more on edge, and disturbed at his response, especially since they were now parked in the school parking lot.

"I'm not fucking bullshitting you, Atticus! Why don't you understand that?!" Perhaps it was muscle memory from shaking down one too many buyers trying to steal his dope, or having to fend for himself in the house of all men, yet the anger had gotten to him. Ricky's hand was wrapped tight around the neck of Atticus' t-shirt, with a desperate yet feral stare piercing into his eyes. He could smell burning coming from the hand on Atticus' shirt, and smoke resonating from it. Ricky had to fight the explosive urge, and quickly reeled his hand back, leaving a dark palm-print where his hand had once been.

Fuck. He'd gone about this all wrong. Atticus was a jokester, and he needed a real performance to be convinced. Ricky wasn't even sure if the burning fabric would be convincing enough to make him believe.

"If that's not proof enough, I don't know what'll be. You know I'm not allowed to carry lighters at school anymore." Ricky purposefully averted facing Atticus' eyes. Fearing the worst reaction, whilst hoping for the best. He found himself tugging his bag up from his feet, and forcing it around his back with far more aggression than usual. "I also need to know the awkward guy you met at the party. What's his name?" He asked, eyes still anywhere but Atticus. He might as well see try and find who the others were that truly shared his circumstances and Atticus wasn't helping.

"i'm normal."

The weekend had been a positively eventful one for Oliver. While Angela had been a little bitch on the weekend by staining his thousand dollar suit jacket, that could easily be fixed with a trip to the dry cleaners. Though hesitant at first, he'd come around to the idea of having Angela join forces with himself, and Cade when it came to handling their mysterious affiliate. For Angela it was an opportunity to make a much higher earning than that lousy lounge job, even though Oliver himself had offered Angela a singing job at one of his family's hotels. Some misplaced idea of modesty had never allowed her. As for him, it was merely just another way to handle his ill-chosen competition, and perhaps even have the opportunity of taking in a guinea pig of his own if he could manage. All in all, it was surely going to be fun plotting with his best friend.

Same as any other week day, Oliver had awoken at 5 in the morning, sharp. He did his usual hour-long fitness routine to wake him up (stretches, "weights," half hour run), cleaned and dressed himself up for another hour, before dining down into some of Maid Aurora's finest English breakfast. By the looks of it, Angela had enjoyed her own night too. He had Aurora fix up one of the guest rooms for her, and adorn it with all her favourite scents, candles, and lighting. Breakfast was no different as Oliver had her favourite dish made hot and ready that morning.

Like Angela, Oliver found it important to have Beethoven's symphonies playing in the background of the limousine as they drove to school. What better way to stimulate brain function than listening to one of the greatest? It was a fact scientifically proven, and any advantage over the dashing Eve Brooks was enough for him. Not that he'd ever publicly praise her. There was a reason they were arch rivals. Two geniuses just didn't click with Oliver, and only one could truly be the top.

"Shoo, peasant! This isn't that kind of morning." Oliver waved off the handful of kids at the door of the limo as he and Angela finally arrived. Whilst he enjoyed being filthy rich and popular, sometimes he wished he was broke so he didn't have to deal with all the attention... Sike. He adored the sweet girls that loathed over him, teachers that reached out to him for help, and the greatest friend in the whole, wide world at his right side through it all.

"He only likes to dress... comfortable." He answered Angela with evident cringe in his tone. Alex was odd to Oliver, and he could never truly read the other Cairou. Not that he needed to, he had enough things to worry about than someone under the protection of Angela. He'd be fine.

At Angela's beckon, Oliver was already at her side, looking down at her phone as discreetly and nonchalantly as he could (which was actually a lot more difficult for him than he'd imagine. Outside of the spotlight? Terrifying.) "Isn't Alaina Cade's little sister? He'd rip my heart out if I even looked at her the wrong way. And the Santanna boy is far too much a weasel for my pimp fashion." Oliver sighed, eyes re-reading the names they had identified as likely powered from the party: Aria, Poppy, Sam, Ricky, and Alaina.

"Sam Maeger seems a... " His lips creased slightly as he spoke, "Meager little fellow. Do you get it? Because his last name is-- Anyways, I think we should start with him. He knocked himself cold at the party so he mustn't be very daunting. Little fellow's probably already inside of the school." He said with a glance closer to the entrance.

atticus bailey
The school parking lot was packed with teenagers just arriving at school, both the ones whose parents had money to buy them cars and the ones who were forced to go to school on foot or, ultimately, with some type of a human-powered vehicle. Whether that was a bicycle or a skateboard or an inflatable elephant named Kandy didn't at all matter in this situation. What did matter, however, was that they were all minding their own businesses, and thankfully so, because in between laughing and his friend being dead serious to the point of holding his collar in his fist, Atti didn't even notice that the mentioned collar was starting to physically catch on fire.

It was either the unusually warm energy radiating from Ricky's hand or the smokey smell engulfing the interior of the old car that made Atti's laughs grow quieter until coming to a steady but awkward stop. As the realization of the possibility that this whole thing wasn't a prank hit the blonde boy, the smirk on his face slowly disappeared, and a seemingly neutral expression of amusement and curiosity emerged.

"Okay. No." Atti blurted out. "You're either a really good magician, or my mom burned this shirt while washing it, but seeing that you're kind of not smart enough to be a magician and that this shirt hasn't been washed for like 3 months, you...actually are superman? DUDE?!" The sentence the blonde boy said might have sounded like a completely perfect example of a whirlwind of emotions and tones, but that was only because it was exactly that. He wasn't actually talking to Ricky, but basically thinking out loud, trying to decide if he would give into his friend's superpower paranoia, or if he would remain healthy and not fall for the prank.

Ricky pulled his bag and put it on his back, giving Atticus time to process what just happened before he started speaking again, this time moving onto the topic of Lex.

"I'm not telling you until you explain to me how you did this," Atti claimed, holding his shirt around where the burn was.

Poppy

Location: Bus--->School

Mood: Distracted

Interaction: N/A

Poppy was in her own little world on her way to school. She payed the other passengers no mind, her headphones blasting music and her eyes glued to her phone screen. She was catching up on messages and social media for the day. She had just finished updating her snapchat story with some new pictures of products her half-brother picked up for her. She was adding the usual "HMU if you're interested" and "OG Pinapple 4 sale today only" that she did almost every monday. IT was the easiest way to be descret with her business. It kept her phone from blowing up all day during school as well. Her friends have been adimate on telling her that it was a bad idea to be so open but what did they know? The way she saw it, it was only stupid if it got her in trouble. So far so good.

While she was scrolling through Twitter drama, a text pinged in from Colin;

Are you at school? was all he said.

Poppy frowned when she read the notification. No hello or anything? That was strange for Colin. He wasn't the good morning text type but he also wasn't the kind to worry when she was running late. Deciding to hold the snark until she found out what his deal was.

No. I'm still on the bus. Be there is 15-ish. What's up?

She didn't have to wait long for a reply. It was like he was watching the conversation. Also very un-Colin-like,

I'll meet you at the bus stop

Poppy didn't get a text back, she figured he just wanted to catch up about what happened at the party. She hadn't heard personally but she knew there was a rumor going around that she had something to do with what happened at the party. Poppy wasn't popular to begin with, only really interacting with "clients" and a handful of acquaintances at their school. She wasn't as concerned with image as someone like Oliver or Aria but still, to be know as someone that supplies creeps with date rape drugs was not a role she as interesting in filling. Her money was on Cade. He had never asked her for anything like that, he just seemed like the type. Poppy crossed her arms and gazed out the window.

It was close to Poppy predicted arrival time when the bus squealed to a stop and the doors hissed open. Through the window She could see Colin. The red head caught her eye with an worried expression which caused butterflies to swell in her stomach. He wasn't the bad mood type and didn't waste any time with hellos.

"What happened at the party, Poppy?" he asked as they started to walk with the crowd towards the crowded school.

"Good Morning Colin!" she said with a smirk, "Nice to see you too." She stopped when she caught Colin's serious expression, "Ok fine. What is got you so spooked, dude."

Colin stopped walking before they go the the main doors and pulled her to the side of the crowd. He pulled out his phone and started a video, only half aware that he was being careful that no one could see what he was showing her.

The video started in a chaos of distorted noise and color, almost as if it started recording as soon as he pulled it out of his pocket. He was at the party with his arm draped around his boyfriend, singing at the top of his lungs and jumping up and down in the crowd. This went on for a few seconds before the video went completely dark and was filled with the shouts of the party goers. It didn't take long for Colin's boyfriend switched his phone flashlight on illuminated parts of the video. IT seemed that he was leading Colin through the crowd to get out. They passed through the kitchen and out the adjoining door. The video ended as soon as they got outside. Poppy furrowed her brow in confusion and looked at Colin,
"Ok, Cute snapchat but why the doom and gloom?" She asked the suddenly frustrated boy, "Look again, In the back". He started it over and scrubbed through to the middle. The chaos of the video started again and played through. Poppy looked at him with a 'what the fuck are you talking about' look that caused him to let out a frustrated grunt and scrub through the video again, this time pausing. He held the phone out to her and pointed, "That's you. In the kitchen" he hit play, "Watch".

The span of the video that she was visible was short but telling. Somehow, her best friend had managed to capture the exact moment her hand disintegrated and she dropped the mug. Colin rolled the part back and she watched again, this time snatching the phone from him and studying it closely. Her hand seemed to burn with the amount of smoke that was pouring off her arms. The mug fell through the obscuring smoke and shattered. Then she screamed. she watched the part again. Smoke, Shatter, scream. She was sure it was a hallucination but then how was she watching said hallucination on a phone? She looked at Colin with the beginning of tears riming her eyes, "have you shown anyone else this?" she asked, her voice cracked with anxiety. Colin shook his head, "No, but other people have posted video of the party on-" Colin was cut off when Poppy turned on her heel and dove into the current of students filing into the building.

She needed to be alone. She needed quiet. She felt like she was going to have a heart attack. She had dismissed the entire fiasco as a bad trip someone else caused. That lie she was telling herself was unraveling. Why did Colin decide to show her right before school? What was he thinking? She pushed through the crowd and veered off towards the cafeteria. She wasn't hungry, the area in the loading dock was where she hid out to smoke while on campus. It's where the staff took smoke breaks so as long as she went alone and with her id hidden, she was able to hide in plan sight. She exited out the other side of the cafeteria back into the crisp air of November. She slipped behind the electrical conduit boxes and took a seat on an overturned milk crate. With trembling hands she lit a cigarette and tried to calm her nerves. She didn't think she would make it to her first class. With the new information Colin had shown her, she was planning on combing social media for more videos of the party. Surly more than her friend had been videoing at the time. Everyone had high def cameras in their pockets now, odds were that someone else caught what she was doing. Because of the smoke wafting around her head, she didn't notice the wisps of blue smoke rising from the tips of her hair like incense sticks.

Well today was already not off to a great start. There were a lot of rumors and talk about what happened at the party. Mi-Young was praying that there weren't videos. She was also hoping to not run into Connor and that boy today. She really didn't know what she would say to them. Well the boy, Sam was it?, she didn't care about him much. It was more Connor she was worried about. She saw the way he looked at her. Her hand absent minded gripped the strap of her back pack.

It wasn't long after that thought that she ran into Even and someone she didn't actually know. A freshman maybe? Mi-Young didn't really talk to Eve much nor associated her-self with freshman unless they had any worth to her. She knew Eve from middle school since she was friends with Connor at the time. At this point Mi-Young couldn't remember why she didn't care for the girl. Probably didn't help that when she hit high school her whole purpose was to become popular and make sure she'd have the career she wanted in life. Which, as of this moment, she wasn't sure how that was going to pan out.

Mi-Young glared at the girl's comment about her "looking like hell". Her? Looking anything but perfect? I think not. "Whats it to you freshman?" She snapped.

TL;DR lunch

cara black
i'm so tired of this place.
Before Mike could even begin to answer Cara's rambled questions, the teacher briskly walked in instructing them to start working as well as calling Cara out for sitting on the desk. Giving her usual eye roll, she sat patiently in her chair and the lesson began.

The blonde could only keep her eyes open for so long as their teacher's monotone voice droned on, mentioning names of places and people that Cara didn't really care about. History was her best subject, and she was one of the top students in her class, but that didn't mean she enjoyed it. Initially, she was excited about the class, having not known her teacher. Her previous teachers were wonderful at their jobs, keeping the audience's attention and on their feet. Not this teacher though. Her current history teacher had the appeal of moldy apple, barking mean words at students, and failing others who simply couldn't understand her way of teaching. It didn't help that she was more boring than reading the whole dictionary backward for fun.

Cara's blue eyes kept fluttering closed as she attempted to listen to the voice that echoed through the classroom. Something about John Adams being the first president to do something. It wasn't long before the voice was getting louder and louder, and suddenly right in her ear.

"Cara Black, do you want me to send you to the Principal's office?" The history teacher was leaning over her desk, glaring at with dark lifeless eyes. Cara hazily shook her head and apologized, ignoring the snickers from fellow students. Honestly, she didn't care that she fell asleep and she'd do it again if she wouldn't be sent to the principal's office.

Soon the class was over and it was onto the next as it always went. When it finally became lunch, Cara found herself sighing in relief as she was able to get herself some caffeine to wake herself up. Mike ended up finding her again, as the two had different classes before lunch to finish their interrupted conversation. "So back to our conversation," Cara started, sitting down at a table with just a cup of coffee. "Does your flirting actually work with women? Name one person it worked on." As Mike went on to answer, the blonde found herself looking around the cafeteria for another blond; Oliver. The two... had a thing that started roughly a month ago and although his rich attitude was a bit annoying, she still cared about him.

The two agreed to keep it quiet for Cara didn't care for the drama that would come along with it, and well, Oliver had his reputation to keep. Cara really didn't care about reputation, but she understood it was important to him. Eventually, she spotted him but quickly averted her eyes, so as to not catch anyone's attention.

"And for the record, your flirting doesn't 'work' on me." She shot at Mike, taking a sip of her coffee. "Did you learn anything else about the party?"

Lex Delgado

Electrokinesis
Lex had walked hurriedly out of the front of the school as soon as Connor had caught up with Fletcher. He felt pathetic bending to his will so easily. Ideally, he wouldn't have to stand up to Fletcher. Neither of the two stepbrothers had asked to be put in this situation, moved from their hometown and all their friends because of a love affair. The spineless boy felt as if his aloof stepbrother had no place pitting all of his frustration on him, although he wouldn't dare say it to his face. He still couldn't bring himself to hate him after the months of silent hatred he had endured because of something that was ultimately out of his hands. Even so, Fletcher's possessiveness of his father was cause for concern. He's a grown adult...

Truly, all Lex wanted was a friend. Fletcher was the only other person in the world who could understand how he felt and he hated his guts. It was cruel and unfair to him to be denied the support he had been denied by his selfish and oblivious mom and stepdad. He was completely incapable of finding it in himself to be upset with either of them. But that didn't make sense. In no world is this no one's fault. But then, who was at fault? As much as this arrangement hurt the two boys, who was he to deny whatever sort of love they had found? They seemed happy enough, although the two couldn't be acquainted for any more than a year and a half.

At the very least, they could have waited to go through with all of this after Lex was out of the house. At least this guy was pretty well-off. Better late than never to be lifted out of poverty, right? Lex snuck a glance at his dark-haired stepbrother, who had been sporting his infamous RBF all morning. Why does he have to be so difficult? Everyone would be a lot happier if he'd just suck it up. The thought caught Lex by surprise. Even in his head, the boy had grown accustomed to suppressing his more disgruntled thoughts about others.

He was thrown out of this thoughts as a hand was placed on his shoulder, causing him to flinch. He turned around and stared into Alex's eyes for a few moments longer than what was socially acceptable, unable to form a simple greeting. Even when he was trying to distance himself from Fletcher, the boy's negative energy always found some way to follow him. As curious as he was as to why the two had thrown hands during a literal crisis, he was over trying to get into his jerk of a stepbrother's head. There was no understanding him. He had seen Fletcher with his own eyes and, as intoxicated as he was, he was definitely not drunk. Most of his classmates he had heard from online had chalked it up to some sort of drunken rage, but Lex, in addition to those who saw Fletcher later that night, should be able to tell that was not the case.

Lex wanted to apologize for his older stepbrother's behavior, but that would mean nothing coming from him. In the end, it was easier to aggressively avoid the elephant in the room. "Hey, man. Some party, huh?" As soon as the words escaped his mouth, the boy's resolve shattered, his face instantly flushing.

Yes, of course. Bring up the party. Great move. A simple "Good morning. Some weather!" would have sufficed. Leave it to him to walk right into that one. With Lex, there always seemed to be a disconnect with what he wanted to say and what he did say. Once again, his mouth had gone rogue, disobeying the orders his mind so forcefully issued. Stupid!

michael kaiser reid.
the pleasure's all yours.
Michael, in all honesty, could care less about rules or the teacher, but when the teacher'd walked in, he'd quickly rushed to his chair so as not to be yelled at for misbehavior. It was never a pleasant way to start off your morning, you know.

When she began to lecture, Mike whipped out his spiral notebook (the green one) and began to take diligent notes. Sure, the teacher would chew him out if he didn't, but he also genuinely wanted to listen. The unit was over early America, which, even coming from Ol' Crow Beak Walkins, was still pretty...well, interesting.

He'd never admit that, though. Naturally, he'd just say that he was taking notes so that he doesn't flunk.

The class ended with only a couple students having been scolded-- Cara being one of them, so Mike couldn't help but snicker and hold an L on his forehead to tease her.

The rest of the morning was...well, not intensely anything. He had mostly smaller classes full of girls who were no fun or guys who he had no interest in.

Finally, lunch came around, he found Cara making her way over to a table. Their conversation had been cut short, and usually he didn't just talk to one girl for this long, but he really wanted to know what she had to say, so the guy, bidding grins at the people who greeted him, walked over to her, having not grabbed his tray or anything.

There was no greeting that she gave him-- just a little "so" and the start of a question. To said question, he grinned and chuckled. "Well, Aria, for one, and hairless Jessie back when she had hair. Lots of girls besides them, too-- just look around you. I'm a charming guy, babe. Even if you're too proud to admit it."

He pulled his wallet from his pocket as she continued to talk. He sighed at how little money was in there, but he looked up at Cara to grin. "Keep telling yourself that, babe. It'll work one day." He laughed. "And yeah, I learned a couple of things. Apparently Aria 'healed' Fletcher because he and Alex got into a fight or som'n like that. That one creepy incel kid got knocked out by a light fixture and had to get staples in his head. There was snow, and there was fire. Oh, and there was weird light." He shrugged. "Guess that that's all that I know."

He looked around the cafeteria. "I saw that they had the fro-yo machine back open. Wonder how they cleaned that thing after that freshman put his whole fucking tongue up its spout." He snickered. "Leh'ssee...they've got the usual soy burgers, rubbery hot dogs, and dry ass chicken. The special today is the 'Southern Fried Special', which is just stale fried chicken and mushy grits..." Mike looked at Cara again with a chuckle. "I can see why you chose the coffee, but I guess that I'll opt for the desert chicken."

He looked in the direction that she had been looking before so quickly averting her eyes. "Who were you looking for, Cara Cat? Your boyfriend?" he teased. "He probably won't be too happy about seeing us together. He might get jealous that we look so good together. If he tries to come over here and fight me, should I beg for mercy?" He guffawed, thinking that this was...well, just teasing and that there was no truth for this.

"i explode shit."

As he sat there, brows furrowed and breathing heavy, Ricky found himself staring ahead at the school whilst Atticus was verbalizing his own internal dialogue (something he did way too often). Initially it seemed Atticus was only formulating more and more reasons why he didn't have any powers, but by the end of the self-talk, Atticus finally decided that Ricky was some sort of "Superman." His lips formed into a smirk at that, finally they were getting somewhere.

Glancing over at Atticus' shirt, Ricky rolled his eyes before pushing the door of the car open. They were already pretty late as things were already, and explaining something even he didn't understand would for sure be a call home. Ricky didn't need his aunt getting phoned, nor his father in Washington any more disappointed than he already was. After shutting the door behind himself, he shoved a hand down into his back, tossing a dark, short-sleeve tee in Atticus' direction.

"That's my favourite gym top so don't ruin it." Ricky said simply. His mood was evidently far better than during the car ride, someone finally on his wavelength (or nearly there) was starting to put him at ease. "I'm not super sure how it works, but it's like I can charge up the object. Turn it into a ticking time bomb or something." He tried to explain it as best as he himself understood it whilst they walked towards the entrance. "I tried it out on a flat surface-- a metal door from the junkyard. And when I concentrate super hard, it's like I can make miniature 'explosions' too. So it's like I slice through it. All hot, and shit."

He let out an exasperated sigh following the lengthy explanation, and found himself staring down at Atticus, trying to read his expression once more. Considering the fact that it'd been tedious trying to understand it all initially, Ricky assumed it might've been difficult for his friend to grasp it too, and instead interrupted any potential response. "Look, I'll be at your locker by lunch. I'll show you whatever you need, but Lex has got to show. I'm sure you can make that happen." With a forced smile, and firm hold over Atticus' shoulder, Ricky disappeared into the swarm of kids entering the school. He wasn't entirely sure why he'd been so serious during his final exchange with Atticus, but something about the stress of it all was definitely getting to him.

***
Ricky had found himself subconsciously searching for Alaina throughout his walk to History. Ricky would've never thought things would become strained so early in their relationship, yet he found the revelations of this weekend forming a giant bridge between the two of them. "Whatever," he thought to himself, and shook off the top.

Following History, he'd made a handful of inter-class sales, before phys. ed. While he definitely wasn't anything of a star athlete (loads of weed, and liquor did that to 'ya), Ricky found his concentration far worse than usual. Dodgeball certainly wasn't as fun as it once was.

Finally though, the bell signalling lunch finally rang out. He was the first to change clothes, and get out of the gym. Seconds later he found himself leaning against Atticus' locker, panting in short breaths as he awaited the other boy. In the meanwhile, he'd drawn his phone out, and settled on the contact of Alex. While he hadn't seen Alex since the party, he was sure his best friend was okay, but unable to see him that morning, he'd have to check up on him now. He simply sent the text: "yo, where u @? i havent seen u all day. aria good? ;) im @ atti's locker, but call if u need."

He glanced up a final town, before turning to Instagram in wait.

Expecting this big explanation which would surely shift the way he observed the universe and everything in or out of it (undoubtedly the influence of far too many movies Atti spent his valuable time immersing himself in), the blonde boy looked at his greasy-haired friend with curiosity practically bursting out of his eyes, his mouth forming some kind of a half-smile, half-skeptical type of facial expression. Of course, Ricky wasn't going to make it easy, not saying a single word before exiting Atti's car.

The boy put his hand in his backpack, and Atti wasn't sure what he was going to pull out. Maybe it was some kind of an ancient stone he found in a nearby forest, which, unknowledgeable to him, gave him the beforehand mentioned superpowers and would also give Atti superpowers. Or maybe it was some dusty scroll passed down his family for generations and generations like shown in the thought-provoking, but quite riveting, unpretentious, yet considerably tender critically acclaimed Disney movie 'Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior'.

Or it was just a sweaty gym shirt. Ugh. It actually caught Atti by surprise, making him flinch backward, kind of hitting his head in the window. To be honest, he wasn't even that scared of shirts to begin with, but if you were expecting a rock, and it turned out to be a shirt flying towards you, you surely would've flinched as well.

Whatever. He played it off cool (according to Atti standards of cool), getting out of the car, locking it, and then quickly catching up with Ricky, who had already started walking.

"Dude, I don't need one of those 'my friend has fucking superpowers, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt' t-shirts. I need an explanation." He pleaded, what whispering what yelling, his backpack on his back, and the specified shirt in his hand. He didn't want to completely out Ricky to the entire school (like people would actually believe him), but at the same time, this was big news, and suddenly Ricky decided to be quiet.

Um, excuse me... A time bomb? Hello? "This shirt won't explode, will it?" He whispered, leaning closer to Ricky's ear so others wouldn't judge him if they heard what he was saying. Of course, deciding on the sigh of his friend, the shirt was pretty much safe.

The two boys now found themselves near the school entrance, and Atti pretty much suspected he wouldn't find out everything he wanted to know right then and there. His suspicions were confirmed when Ricky stated that he would show him what he wanted to see in the school bathroom during lunch (maybe not worded in that exact way). Before Atti could say anything to protest this, Ricky sacrificed himself to the horde of horny teenagers with anger issues, making his way into the school.

---

After a couple classes of not paying attention and thinking about things like Ricky's explosion power or Lex saying that Atti also had powers, the blonde boy was done trying to come up with an explanation and wanted—no, needed—to talk to Ricky as soon as possible. Actually finding out how his friend acquired this ability was the only thing on his mind, except maybe the possibility that he also had superpowers.

Entering the hallway where his locker was located, he could already notice his friend in the crowd of people. Probably the boy's oily hair reflecting the uncomfortable lights.

"Okay, I'm done waiting. I want you to show me your powers." He exclaimed. Well, actually not exclaimed. Kind of exclaimed?

in the hallway, duh.

Aria
She watched as Cade walked into the kitchen, acting as if nothing weird was going on. Alaina seemed jumpier than usual, which caused Aria to look at her sister with her eyebrows knitted together in question. Both of her siblings were acting weird, right? It wasn't just her imagination -- and of course they would be! Who knew what had happened to them at that party?

Cade asking about the party was even more suspicious. She had seen him by the drinks right before all hell broke loose but right now, she didn't say that aloud. For the most part, she stayed silent, taking another bite of her apple but now, her stomach was twisting so much that she didn't even feel like she could finish it.

"Wow, you? Going to school?" Aria echoed. She crossed over to where the trash can was, popping it open and dropping in the barely eaten apple. "I'm surprised you would want to come to school after being gone all weekend." Maybe a bit of a hypocritical point seeing as how she had also been gone all weekend, but her brother was acting weird. Aria was suspicious.

"I'm going to ride with Lanie, but I'll see you later." She said, giving her brother one last smile, before she headed out of the house to head out to her sister who was waiting in the car for her. Even if the twins had grown apart these last few years, at least Aria knew that she could always count on her sister for a ride to school or to be there if she really needed her. It was... nice, but it also always filled Aria with a little bit of guilt at how much she had tried to push herself away over the last couple years.

She hopped into the car, pulling the door closed after her and glanced over at Lanie. "He was at the party," she stated as she pulled her seat belt on. "I saw him by the drinks, but I didn't see him after the lights went out."

Look, there was something weird going on and Aria was suspicious.

Connor
Well, Connor couldn't deny that some people definitely did have it out for Fletcher. He was... annoying, to say the least, to a lot of people. Fletcher's blunt attitude almost always ended with someone getting offended or hurt, so it wouldn't surprise him if someone had focused on him solely. But how would they have drugged him if all he'd had one was one can of beer? Had he like... set the drink down or something?

"Well, who the hell hates you more than anyone else? They're probably the ones to blame." Wait. Maybe Connor shouldn't be encouraging his friend's ideas of someone purposely doing this to him, but he knew that Fletcher was right. He wouldn't have just punched Alex for no reason and from the way he had sounded on Twitter (because, unfortunately, Connor hadn't been there for the fight), he definitely hadn't been in his right state of mind. Connor actually believed the panic.

What could he say? He was the kind of guy that probably a bit too trustful. Believing people blindly until there was evidence against them. And even then, he'd probably stand by his friends.

"Yeah. I mean, I think something hit me." Connor said. Everything had happened so fast, but the moment of pain searing against his forehead still stuck in the forefront of his thoughts. Absently, his hand brushed against his forehead and across his eyebrows but just as he had felt over and over this weekend, there was nothing there. "I don't know. It hurt for a moment and then there was just... nothing. I don't fucking know, man. Something happened at that party."

Something that science and reason couldn't explain.

Quinn
There was more to this than Eve was willing to admit, wasn't there? At least, that's what it felt like when Eve did her best to brush off Quinn's questions. Here she had wanted a detailed explanation of everything that had happened but instead, she was left rolling her eyes with basically no better explanation.

But she could think more on it and try to pry more information out of Eve later. When she wasn't being rudely insulted by an upperclassmen.

Okay, okay, so yeah, maybe Quinn had started the insulting, but still. Her jaw dropped open a little bit when Mi Young questioned what it was to her because, obviously, it didn't mean anything to Quinn. Except that she had been at the party, right? Of course she had been at the party. Everyone had been at the party except for her and it was stupid to assume that someone of Mi Young's... status wouldn't have attended. Which means that she probably knew more of what happened.

God, someone needed to stop Quinn before she unknowingly blew the cover of her parents and everyone they worked with that were invested in this whole powers thing.

"Well when you so rudely bump into me, it becomes my business." Quinn snapped back with a sickly sweet smile. "Isn't that right, Eve?"

Ahh yes, Quinn was a master of also dragging anyone around her into whatever issues she may have started.

Elliott
"Dude, I can't believe you're back to school already after that." Elliott was really impressed. Like, he wasn't even just pretending right now, because holy hell that sounded painful. And rough. He was glad that his friend had been alright and had just ended up with a few staples, though.

"The worst thing that happened to me was my costume popped when I was trying to leave." He explained with a heavy sigh. Rest in piece, Reptar. That costume had served him well over one Halloween and it had gotten the proper burial... in a trash can. In a trash bag that Elliott had saluted after he had tossed it into the trash to be taken to the dump.

And then Sam asked if he wanted to go with him, and Elliott had to blink for a couple of minutes in surprise. Little Elli wasn't super used to being invited to to do things... unless it was with like Alex and Ricky, but they didn't count. Not really. Well. Okay so they kinda did, but they were like, his only really close friends here.

"Yeah, dude, I'd love to come with." Dude. That was what people in high school said, right? Yeah, probably. Elliott gave Same a bright grin. "I forgot to eat breakfast this morning, so I needed to head over there, anyway."

Sam smiled awkwardly, his heart pattering in near-excitement at Elliot saying that he wanted to come with him to get breakfast. His eyes brightened, and he laughed, half-nervously and half-relievedly. "Thanks, man!" he said, his voice cracking on the word man.

He started towards breakfast, kind of toting Elliot along. Sam's grip on his straps loosened slightly as he walked. "So, man...uh, sorry about your costume...but hey, at least you got to wear it for a bit, huh?" He chuckled. "Uh, my robe got covered in blood...and, uh...well, my gums got cut by my teeth so those were ruined, too..."

He turned into the cafeteria, and he gave the lunch ladies an awkward smile as he grabbed a plastic-wrapped muffin and a carton of nearly-expired chocolate milk from the counter. He almost went to sit down, but he decided that that was a waste of his time, and he instead ripped open the muffin, scarfed it down in three bites, and guzzled his milk down in ten seconds flat.

He shoved his muffin wrapper and the plastic that had gone around it into the empty carton and tried to shoot it like a basketball into the trash can.

It missed.

He looked over at Elliot awkwardly, chuckling. "Uh...looks like...heheh....I'm not cut out to be a basketball player..."

He walked over to the carton and picked it up, then tossed it in the trash can.

He...well...uh...needed to get to class...but now he was in a super awkward position...

Like, did he go say goodbye to Elliot even though he'd only been in here for a maximum of...maybe two minutes? Or did he stay in here while he waited for him to eat...? Or did he...?

He walked over to Elliot and cleared his throat. For a minute, he just stood there, staring at Elliot with a weird smile on his face, and finally, he piped up and said, "Hey, uh...Elliot...man...uh...hey..." He rubbed his neck. "Uh... hey... yeah... uh... class starts in... a couple of minutes... so... uh... maybe... uh... I think that... uh... it's go time, man."

Nailed it.

Aria ( Winona Winona ); OPEN

As far as Alaina was concerned, nothing happened at the party. It may have been a bit childish of her to pretend that nothing had happened, but what other explanation was there? For both the events at the party and the spooky shadows that came out of her. No. It wasn't happening, and Lanie wasn't going to sit there and speculate about what could be going on when there were more important matters at hand. Like her math test today. That was important.

Lanie gave her sister time to come join her in the car, and she started it and was fiddling with the radio when Aria spoke. Lanie's finger hovered over the button to change the station for a moment before she pressed it with more force than was necessary. "Was he?" She leaned back in her seat to put her seat belt on, trying to keep her voice light and unbothered. "I didn't see him. But then again, Cade is like a shadow. You'll only see him if you want to."

And for her, the matter was settled. She shifted into drive and left their house, spotting Cade in her rearview mirror heading for his car. She turned the corner and he was gone from her line of sight, leaving just her and Aria. And the radio. Lanie glanced over at her twin, pursing her lips, feeling as though she should say something. But what was there to say?

She reached the school and realized that she hadn't been paying attention at all. Oops. Pulling into a parking spot, she parked and glanced over at Aria. "Good luck today." Was all she said before she reached behind the seat, grabbing her bag and getting out of the car. "Lock the doors." She called back as she headed into the school. The day dragged, and by the time lunch rolled around, she was tired of the looks and whispers. Everyone was talking about the party.

Fletcher Hayes

No Powers
Who doesn't hate me? Well, hate was a strong word-- and an accurate one, too. Fletcher hadn't managed to piss off everyone at school in the brief time since he'd transferred into Wilmont. In fact, the main thing he was known for was just being a general asshole. Sure, he's said plenty of mean-spirited things (intentionally or not) to his peers, but it wasn't as if he had done anything super incriminating. In the end, the boy was stumped. He couldn't name a single person he knew of that could despise him with the fervor he already hated the world with.

Still, he couldn't get his mind off the idea that someone really did want to see him suffer enough that they somehow ninja'd their way into slipping something into his drink, which he barely set down in the moments before chaos ensued. Connor's belief in his idea despite everyone else's skepticism had the opposite effect on Fletcher, causing him to doubt his own hypotheses of mysterious vendettas and spiked drinks. Connor, who Fletcher didn't really have much trust in, wasn't the most reliable source. He was well aware of his own tendency to thrive on opposition from others.

He lowered his voice as the two entered class, continuing their discussion while the teacher's back was turned. Connor's rendition of what happened to him made more sense than his previous statement about being shot in the face, leading Fletcher to realize his friend wasn't claiming to have been capped right between his eyeballs. "Damn right something happened at that party. I don't know what they were trying to do to all of us, but I don't fucking like it." He had no explanation for what happened to Connor either, although his best guess was he had been drugged too and had experienced some sort of unpleasant physical sensation on his face. Hell, why not assume everyone at the party ingested something? Hallucinations like Fletcher's could explain all of the bizarre claims being made about whatever went on. In the end, everyone's account on what happened seemed to contradict ten other people's claims. But how could drugs explain the storm? Or Kash's wrecked house? Or Jessie's head!?

Eve blinked once. Then twice. Then thrice. Was Quinn really starting a fight right here? She looked over to Mi-Young who was clearly just not having a great day-- which Eve could honestly relate to-- and then back to Quinn who was ready to push more buttons. Slowly slipping her arm out of Quinn's, the brunette held up her arms defensively.

"Listen, I'm not here to fight, but if that's what you two want to do, go for it, man. I've got more issues on my hand, like y'know, beating Oliver Roche for school president." She rolled her eyes at the mention of his name, knowing that the rich bitch had probably sent everyone a gift basket with a note saying 'Vote for Oliver!' or some shit. It wouldn't surprise her if he just gave everyone $100. Briefly glancing her watch, she noticed that there were 3 minutes she had before she could make it class on time. "Also, class starts in 3 minutes and both of you are not destroying my attendance. Peace out bitches." She managed to mutter rather quickly before giving off the peace sign and hurrying to her classroom. Eve had managed to make it in time, giving a nod to the teacher who smiled brightly.

Eve's morning classes went by as usual; Eve answering nearly every question and getting it right, as well as having to help some poor kid who just did not understand how physics worked. Eve often grew tired of having to wait around for that kid's brain to finally make the cogs move and understand that surfaces push against each other to just simply exist. Whatever, as long as her grades were perfect, she'd be fine. As lunch rolled around, Eve's eyes surfed the crowd of students, wondering if she'd be eating lunch alone again. Not taking notice of anyone in particular, she shrugged her shoulders and decided to head to the library, where she often spent lunches.

It was just her and the books, like usual. Being alone didn't outrightly bother Eve, in fact, she liked it. However, she also understood that loneliness is not for the faintest and while reading books was a fun pastime, she sometimes wished there was someone with her. Someone like... no. She had to get Fletcher out of her mind. He probably didn't even like her to begin with, just using her to get better grades. Furrowing her eyebrows as she sat at the desk in the library, she pulled out her history homework and began to get a head start on her assignment.

Angela and Alexander Cariou
There were many things Angela wanted to do in school. Many activities and moments that got her through the day and gave her a reason to get up and try to finish the horror that was High School. Speaking to Sam Maeger - the school's resident incel - was not one of them. Most of the time, she went out of her way to avoid talking to him. Despite how nice he was to her on Twitter, she had nothing to do with him. Not to mention the hit to her social life that would result from even a simple conversation with him. Still, though, Olliver made some good points. Cade would kill them if they went after his sisters. She didn't care much about Olliver's comments against Rick's appearance and entire demeanour. (Really, could he sound any more like a Bond villain? And how could he talk like that and still sound so normal? The wonders of money, she supposed). But it was true that if she went after Ricky herself there was nothing stopping Ricky from going to Alex with information she didn't need her nice and wholesome brother knowing about. Not yet.

"Ought to be easy enough," she commented, intertwining her arm with Olliver's as they made their way inside the school to search for their target. No reason. She just liked seeing the gaggle of lovesick girls go red with rage whenever she showed how close she was with her best friend. "Leave this one to me. Someone like him would probably appreciate the... female attention. Especially mine." God, first talking to Sam, and now actually considering flirting with him. What had she become?

Finding Sam was easy enough, the cafeteria almost being as crowded as the front of the school made it a good place to start searching for him or anyone who could have information of his whereabouts. He was talking to Elliot, another of her brother's friends. A lovely little setback, as if they didn't have enough of those already. Fortunately, pulling him away from Elliot wouldn't be too hard. She made sure to adjust her bra and and more of a swing to her walk, just in case he needed some extra persuasion to leave his friend and go with them.

"Sam, right?" her sickly sweet smile shone through with her friendly facade. "I thought I saw you at the party! You had a very... unique costume. I didn't know you had such a good taste. Everyone's costumes are so... bleh, these days, aren't they?"

Of course. Of - fucking - course the party would be the first thing Lex would bring up as soon as he spoke. Why wouldn't it? Not many interesting things happened in the town, it was natural that the biggest scandal wouldn't just sizzle away like normal gossip. All Alex could muster as a response was a forced, awkward chuckle and a nonchalant shrug.

"Guess so, man," he said, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head. The most uncomfortable silence followed, one that felt so long that Alex wondered why a teacher hadn't come out to lecture them for missing the school day. Eager to find a way out, he scanned the entrance for a familiar face. "WHAT?" He suddenly screamed, gaining the attention from a couple of classmates nearby. "YOU NEED ME FOR WHAT? OKAY, BE RIGHT THERE!" he wasn't shouting at anyone in particular, but he doubted like Lex would ask anyways. "Sorry, gotta go, I need to...you know." Not waiting for an answer, he jogged inside the school. For the first time in his life being the first person inside the classroom.

The school day went by without much drama, other than the occasional gossipmonger looking for information about his now "legendary" fight against Fletcher. As boring as the day was, it moved by fairly quickly. And before he knew it, the lunch bell finally rang and everyone moved to the cafeteria. When his phone buzzed in his pocket, he ignored the Aria comment (yes, it had been nice , but he didn't need Ricky teasing him for that more than he already did) and said he'd be waiting by their usual table.

Lex Delgado

Electrokinesis
Lex nodded confusedly to Alex, letting out a sigh of relief as Alex took off. The naive boy silently thanked whoever had supposedly called for Alex, failing to catch on to his obvious excuse to end the conversation. He took out his phone and scrolled through his messages with Atti, double-checking that he had, in fact, committed to showing his new friend his powers. Unfortunately, that conversation was very real. Lex was too far gone.

He bumped into not one, but two students as he absentmindedly looked downward at his phone while he walked through the halls. He reread his DMs with Atti over and over, immensely regretting his prior admission. He held firm to the idea that Atti shared the same superpowers he did, although it was a bit odd for him to hold out on despite Lex's insistence. After all, what reason would he have to hide it from the only other person who shared his problem? And that's all it was. A problem. Some would consider this strange ability to manipulate electricity a blessing, but so far it only made Lex's life more complicated.

Class resumed as usual, the only difference being all of the chatter about Kash's disastrous Halloween party. It was a bit shocking to Lex how casually his classmates were describing this horrifying experience. People could have been seriously hurt, like Sam, who made it known online exactly what had happened to him. Well, as exact as anyone could be in those circumstances. Thankfully, it was too dark and chaotic at the party for anyone to notice Lex being awkward and lonely while he drank in the corner. He almost felt bad to be worrying about what everyone else thought of him more than if everyone made it out okay.

By lunchtime, he had grown tired of eavesdropping on everyone's depiction of what went down, every single version of the story lacking any form of explanation. Lex couldn't help but wonder if it was his own powers to blame, yet too much had happened that had nothing to do with the limits of his electric abilities. The idea that he wasn't alone with his powers became more apparent as he recalled Atti seemingly shooting a bolt of lightning from his body on his own. Lex was positive the electric current from his own body hadn't reached the other boy.

He stood outside his classroom, mentally preparing to control his powers enough to not hurt Atti in the bathroom, which was a bit small of a space for his liking. His powers weren't nearly as stable as he wanted and the abundance of fairly conductive water in the bathroom left little room for poor aim. He texted Atti "come to the bathroom by the gym. i dont think anyone will be there right now." He hurried down to the location he had specified, then anxiously stood inside the bathroom with his arms crossed. He peered out the door every so often, prepared to act natural and wash his hands or something if someone other than Atti entered.

Sam's eyes nearly bulged out of his head when he saw Ange approaching him, and he looked about himself, covering his mouth so that the blush coming up on his cheeks wasn't obvious.

And then he noticed that she...was...uh...

Shit...approaching...him...

He braced himself for a harsh laugh or some kind of mockery, putting on an awkward, forced smile.

When mockery didn't come, his eyebrows raised, and he dropped his hand, laughing nervously. "A-Angela?" he asked, his voice wavering. "Hey...yeah, I saw you, too!" he said, trying not to sound too over-enthused.

He let out a nervous chuckle and rubbed his neck. This was a... girl...

Talking to him....

And not just any girl, either. A relatively popular-- well, relatively popular girl... talking to... uh... well... him... without... laughing?

And she was hot?

This was...wow.

Maybe there was a such thing as superheroes. Maybe his newfound power was actually getting girls or something, not magnetism.

Psft, a boy could dream...

He stared quite obviously at her and smiled awkwardly. "S-Sooo...you really liked my costume? Thanks! I'm glad you get the reference. Most people don't... Nosferatu is the best though, haha!" He rocked back and forth on his feet slightly. "I liked yours, too."

"i explode shit."

Ricky rolled his eyes at Alex's refusal to respond to his teasing jibe. Still, he was now aware of where to meet up with his friend, though the voice of Atticus cut through his concentration. Ricky quickly frowned at Atticus' words, and pushed himself forwards off of the locker. His hand clasped firmly over the shaggy-haired teen's lips, eyes glaring down at him in dismay. He could sense the attention of those nearby shifting towards him though, a much taller, darker figure, with an unpleasant history bouncing forwards against Atticus. A terrible misunderstanding that Ricky was not trying to deal with at the moment.

"You can't say stuff about the," He moved even closer now, and whispered, "powers out loud." He warned, and slowly retracted his hand. "Didn't you see how the world reacted to area 51 on Twitter? They'd kidnap me and use me as a lab rat. I don't want that, Atti." He said with a deeper tone, one he tended to use when he was on edge. Atticus knew that, and hopefully understood the seriousness in his voice. With another look into the crowd, the students were either back on their phones, making out with one another, or whatever else high school kids got up to nowadays.

"The washroom?" Ricky asked, and glanced down at Atticus' recent notification on his phone. A further squint of the eye revealed the messenger was someone by the name of Lex-- the person he'd been trying to track down this whole time? "Meet me there then. I've got a plus one I need to bring with me. Don't fuck around too much while I'm gone Atti, I'm serious." And with another quick smile to the boy, Ricky disappeared once more into the ocean of students. He felt much closer to having a chance at understanding what was going on with him, and perhaps finding someone else who felt the same.

Ricky cleared his throat from his standing position behind Alex, his facial expression far from his usual nonchalance.

"Alex. You of all people know that something was off at the party right? And not just because it was Kash hosting it." Ricky started, and tried his best to maintain eye contact as he spoke. To show Alex that he was being dead serious. "You have to come with me because there's something I haven't told you about the party-- or a night years ago that messed me up. I learned my lesson trying to explain it all, so I'd rather just show you." He let out a short sigh after his words, trying his best to read Alex's expression.

Though he was sure Alex would've taken it serious either way (considering his tone and urgency), Ricky would go on to mention Aria. For sure if she was in the mix, he'd be more aware of the seriousness of it all. And while it was slightly manipulative, and more the former Ricky than the person he was trying to be now, there was some truth behind his tone. Ricky had witnesses Alaina succumb to her own dark abilities, and if that night had altered people's genetic code and bestowed them such power, wouldn't it have done the same to Aria who was of Alaina's blood? Plus there was that whole thing with her holding bare light, and while Ricky hadn't thought of it then, he didn't see any actual flashlight at the Halloween party.

"Aria might be in trouble too man, or dealing with what I'm talking about too."

mood he's actually been so pissy recently, dang.

"i'm normal."

Oliver's morning classes had been nothing but a cakewalk. He couldn't help but notice the undemanding nature of today's A.P. Calculus class, and he found himself giving his arch (yet respected) rival, Eve, looks of confusion. Perhaps even the teachers had heard of the events at Kash's party and taken it slightly easier on the kids. Oliver didn't like it, and made mental note of berating said professor when he got the chance. But that wouldn't be today. Angela and him had their first goal given to them by the organization, and their first target was easily Sam Maeger. After dropping his belongings off in his locker, Oliver found himself back onto the first floor of the school and headed towards the cafeteria and Angela.

As usual he skipped the cafeteria line, one of which was serving food that was hardly edible anyways. Thank god he was on a flush anyways, and instead of solid food, he'd only taken sips of his ginger-lemon water. That was how he kept his skin so luscious, doing flushes like this every so often. "Ah..." He said after a refreshing sip, and capped off the transparent blue water bottle. It was while he was searching the crowd for Angela though, that his eyes nearly sifted past Cara, and her empty-headed friend. The taste of metal was what snapped him awake, and Oliver quickly realized he'd taken a bite out of the inside of his cheek in frustration.

In spite of his prior obligations to Angela, Oliver found himself strutting forwards in the direction of Cara and the Reid boy. No part of Oliver actually liked Cara, and so his need to interrupt her lovely lunch with such a handsome stud was a mystery to him. He only just adored the feeling of her skin against his, the lavender smell of her blond hair, and that soft, and gentle voice she had during pillow-talk. Staring in those blue sapphire eyes was something he'd missed, and even the unrestrained sass she had when he pissed her off. No. Oliver shook the thought. He was only just going to check on her, to ask her where she'd been on Halloween. Friends... with benefits did that.

"Your mercy means nothing to me, Michael." Oliver said dryly. "But no, I'm not here to fight you either. That would end horribly on your part." A subtle smirk formed in his lips at that, and Oliver found himself worming around the table and seating himself to Cara's side. Reputation or not, Michael Reid would not win him. With a glance to his side, Oliver's smirk grew into a smile at Cara. "You're stunning as ever, Cara." Oliver started, and with a glance over at Michael added,

"I was actually wondering if you were free tonight? We could talk about your absence from the party over dinner." While he hadn't voiced it, like their past nights out, Oliver strongly hoped that the night would end with Cara at his place, and Netflix playing audience-less in the background.
