95% of the world's oceans and 99% of the ocean floors are unexplored. Even in a world that has managed to embrace magic and embrace technology, it hasn't advanced enough to explore the entire ocean floor. It is difficult, dangerous, time-consuming, resource-expensive, and mana-inhaling.

There is 15,000 miles across with 12,100-36,200 feet of vertical oceanic exploration to do. This is a pipe-dream in your lifetime. You have heard the call of the open waters to stop your mundane life and do something new or crazy. A once-in-a-lifetime experience. A big group consisting of a group of friends, a captain's crew and his co-workers set out to answer some questions

  • What's under the depths?
  • What life is in the ocean?
  • What history of humankind (and other kinds) have been buried under the depths?
  • What other species live in the open ocean?
  • Are there any civilizations under the water?
  • Can new material and magics be discovered under the water?
As well as their own personal questions regarding their relationships, friendships, motives and passions in life. Whether they want to meet new people, gain some new magic, learn some new skills, seek some thrills, or just go on a long trip with their friends, they're all here and they're all ready.
Marine biologists, Ichthyologists, fantasy artists and authors, Ship and Submarine engineers, underwater welders, conspiracy theorists, and underwater enthusiasts will all benefit to what's found under the watery depths. A trip amongst a group of friends and co-workers could very well culminate in groundbreaking discoveries to magic, technology, biology, or all of them. At minimum though, you will take a nice cruise to see the ocean, swim a little, dive a little, love a little, laugh a lot, and answer the ocean's powerful watery call. Through uncertainty and fear, you will step into the depths of the unknown with a crew by your side and hopefully emerge as an even better person as before, just like how civilization will improve for the better with every foot of the ocean explored.

Country: Ishrion
State: Isrita District
City: Redstone
Time: 10:00
Weather: Overcast, Small chance of rain, 64 Degrees

Redstone is a major city known for its strategic location by the coast of the Pacific Ocean. In the center is a major airport and at the coast is a major sea port. Both Air and Seaships, both commercial and merchant set sail from these ports. Both the skies and the seas of trade are centered on this amazing city. Minerals, food products, oil, engines, and valuable metals for invention and innovation are brought in here. With that in mind, Redstone is a city of business, innovation, creativity, and discovery. Not only that, but Redstone houses a major railroad for timely delivery of goods to other provinces within the massive country of Ishrion. Despite the immense amount of industrialization and smoke, there is plenty of magic at play to prevent smoke buildup and the subsequent problem of deadly smog. All of this makes Redstone one of the few hubs of Ishrion, a place where foreign nationals travel on business or just to get a new start, a first impression of an entirely new world. A world of industry, progress, science, and human work ethic

However, for one certain group, as amazing as Redstone is, they've seen it all, grown bored of the huge city, seen everything there is to see, eaten at all the cafes and restaurants, visited all the museums. This group, whether they're motivated by money, spite, curiosity, thrill-seeking, or boredom, are looking for something more. Those voices must be in cahoots with Poseidon, because they're all leading to the open sea, the place of dangerous yet alluring beauty and mystery. The will of a certain man brought them all together. 1 contract, 1 death waiver, 1 promise of a cut from what could be some of the greatest treasure ever found. Humanity is so obsessed with getting higher and higher, to touch the big ball in the sky known as the moon............and that's a grand endeavor indeed. However, why not go lower than usual. Lower INTO the earth. Why go to space when we don't even know what's right under our feet?

Published all over papers everywhere. Mr. Johnathan Edward Weiss, a world renowned for his travels to dangerous places to discover the mysteries of the life there, has teamed up with former Navy crew, historians, subaquatic engineers, and brave volunteers to set out on this grand journey. This isn't travelling to other countries by sea. No, that's far too easy. They'll choose some coordinates with the help of seers, water wizards, and sea creatures, and dive there as deep as they can in hopes of discovering what could very well improve humanity for the better for centuries to come..........

................Right now though, it's about time to meet up and board up. The people of Redstone are bustling in the street in what's being called the Redstone Discovery Festival to commemorate the sending off of the Weiss Crew on his ship, the USS Knight Owl. The festival had everything, thrown by the king himself, and featured feasts, vendors from all over Ishrion, grand tournaments and races, demonstrations from grand wizards, airshows, parades, warship tours, carnivals, rides, the works. However, for the group who's being sent off, they don't have a lot of time to enjoy such luxuries. They must get to the Redstone Seaport so they can be sent off.

(And we're off. Post at will)

Thomas made his way down the dock toward the USS Knight Owl. He pulled out a pocket watch to see what time it was. It appears he was a bit early, though that's how he like'd it. Better to be early then late. Tom glanced back to the city. He knew he may not see it again as there is always danger while out on the open ocean. One thing he won't miss was the smog. He sighed as he put his pocket watch back and focused his attention on the ship. The ship had a nice look to it, clearly being one of the newer models. Wasn't too large, which was a good thing. Larger ships require more people to maintain it. He then tried to focus his attention on anybody boarding. He wasn't familiar with anybody on that ship, which worried him as that's where conflict usually arises. One person he couldn't wait to meet was Mr. Weiss.

Zoey took in a deep breath of the fresh sea air, her favorite place had always been by the water no matter how much she hated the idea of falling in and never coming back up for another breath of air. She walked down getting closer to the docks then checked the time, she wasn't a moment too soon or a moment too late but right on time like always. She smiled as she finally reached the USS Knight Owl. She was quite excited to meet everyone though she did her best to hide it as she stopped to look at everyone near the huge ship.

Jasmine Amiri
Redstone Port Docks- USS Knight Owl

Jasmine Amiri was already on the ship. Mr. Weiss had tasked her out to give a tour of the ship to some of the newcomers. who would be going on the trip with them. She was one of the first hired on as part of the research team. She had a few hidden skills that would allow her to get a bit more hands-on than the average researcher. Currently outside was a small group of people. Most of them were armed, so that told her that members of the combat team had already arrived. Jasmine had them crew drop the gate and stepped at the helm, to the cheers of the public. There were guards at the gate. Jasmine stepped to the side and a much taller man stepped beside her. Jas was more than happy to step aside and let him take the helm. She couldn't do tours to the entire public. Weiss stepped out like an artist at a music concert, arms wide out and basking in the praise.

"Welcome all to the USS Knight Owl. I am Johnathan Edward Weiss, the captain of this delicate vessel. I thank you all for supporting this valiant effort and I thank all volunteers for their support and their willingness to lend their skills for the betterment of not only this mission, but for humanity as a whole." More cheers from the crowd and Weiss engaged with them all for a minute or two. He then stepped back. "Now, we'll begin boarding. All crew for this trip, I need to see a form of ID and your boarding pass. Afterwards, the beautiful Jasmine Amiri will give you all a tour of the ship." Jasmine blushed at the compliment. She wasn't particularly taken with Weiss, their relationship strictly professional, but she did like compliments from pretty much anyone she didn't actively hate. Nothing wrong with that, right?

Jas stepped forward to the guards. "ID and boarding pass, please?" she said. It was more of a command, but it sounded like a question. She tried to focus, but her stomach was churning. SO MANY PEOPLE. She kept her head down to avoid her thoughts getting out of control. They just flash it and go put their stuff down in a room. It would function like a dorm, with 2 to a room given the amount of people on the ship

The closer she got the more excited she got, Zoey had been dreaming of this since the moment she found out she could go, and she could stop thinking about it. Zoey walked up so she was standing behind the combat looking people and her hand instinctively went to the gun holster that held the gun her mother had given her. She tended to do this if she was nervous, excited or scared, it was like a reflex. She then checked and was relieved that she hadn't forgotten her ID or her boarding pass.

Thomas slowed to a stop behind Zoey as a line formed. He then pulled out his boarding pass and his ID from his bag. The only things in his bag was books, essentials, and stuff to tinker with. It seems the armed personal were going on first, which made sense. He let a long sigh as he was quite impatient. He just wanted to get on that ship and get to work. To make time go quicker, he decided to take a book out. It was a book on the history of Redstone.

Zoey sighed and to pass the time she started to hum a lovely tune as they were able to take a step forward and she tapped her foot excitedly as she started to fiddle with her hair and checked her bag to make sure she had everything.

Geralf twirled his cane, whistling whist casually strolling toward his destination. After another successful jumpscare of someone who had gotten too close, the skeleton ran his fingers through the discarded coins he put in his pocket. "A penny saved," he hummed, reaching the end of the street towards the magnificent vessel. "is a penny I get to spend later on." Chuckling, Geralf stopped messing with the additional coinage and strolled up toward the growing line of people. "Pfeh, no time for this." He grunted, sidestepping everyone with a rude 'excuse me'. Some were surprised to see a fleshless person, apparently about to accompany the voyage, go past them. With a useless clearing of the throat, Geralf ended at the front of the line, ID and boarding pass already in hand. "The correct papers, as directed," He presented, displaying his ID, complete with picture of his skeletal face.

It was a funny story, if anyone asked how he managed to get the picture completed, but not one Geralf enjoyed telling. As much as he loved talking about himself, the skeleton had retold this tale way too many times, and had grown rather bored of it. Suddenly, Geralf noted his mistake, "Oh wait, hold up, that's the wrong one." He quickly switched out the other ID for the correct traveling one, "Sorry you had to see that one." Geralf apologized, having displayed his card for the greed rehabilitation classes at first. "It's not like I've got that much of a problem, mind you. II mean, who can resist shiny things?" He joked, waiting for the a-ok from the personnel guarding the entrance.

Zoey grunted when the skeleton pushed passed her and she planted her hands on her hips and in a strong British accent said, "Why the bloody hell would you think that's alright to push by people like that?" She was upset and now crossed to arms over her chest.

"HEY! YOU TWO!" The guard snapped at the skeleton man and Zoey, which caused a bit of an air of uncomfortable silence. It wasn't helped by the other guards placing their hands on their weaponry. The guards had a simple job. "Let's not have these problems. Have some respect. Mr. Weiss isn't running a zoo here." He stepped aside and pointed in. "Now go."

As they'd go in, Jasmine Amiri followed them, starting the tour immediately by giving them a brochure of all the rooms and features of the ship.

Upon seeing Zoey upset, Jasmine approached her with a smile, trying to break the ice before it goes to be a problem amongst the crewmates. They really couldn't have this going on. This, however, was heavily against her nature. Weiss was mentoring her on the art of Public Relations and Business. They were to be co-workers, so they needed to get along well. Weiss trusted her in not really an admin position, but a trusted position. Her word actually meant something. "I am Jasmine Amiri. 23, on the Research Team as a scholar. I know this ship up and down," she said with a polite smile. "I can't wait to work with you...........eh..........." She racked her own brain for all the IDs that she checked. "Zoey, right?"

Mr Weiss entered the ship and addressed the ship crew. He held a sense of pride about him and stepped with a swagger. He was clearly in a good mood. "We will be departing circa 1 hour. Go ahead people, mingle a bit, get to know your new co-workers. We will have to work fairly close together to get all the information we'll need to complete the mission. Everyone gets room and board, are free to fish and bird hunt for their meals if they so desire, and relax until it's time for action. We have plenty of facilities as well as a helipad that brings out supplies every few days or so."

Zoey jumped when the girl came up but then said, "Nice to meet you Jasmine, and yes I am Zoey. Hey, you guys have a library, right? Is it big?" She looked up as Mr. Weiss entered and listened before not letting Jasmine answer. She relaxed and walked around listening to everyone and writing a few things down as she gathered info about everyone. She had never fit in yet many people had told her she was beautiful and she should be proud of her great beauty but her feeling out of place didn't help.

After Tom got on the ship, he made his way to his room to drop of his personal belongings. He didn't mind another person being in his room as long as they don't snore loud. He arrived at his room, dropping his bag on his bed. He'd unpack later as he wanted to get acquainted more with the ship and the people. He walked out of his and made his way down the hallway. He stumbled upon the library. Maybe meeting with people could wait. He walked into the library looking for a book relevant to him. To his satisfaction, he found a book on Machinery that he was not familiar with.

Finding nothing to do, Zoey went to where the library was said to be. She opened the door and gasped, for as long as she could remember she had always loved books. She went to a book on the sea and the creatures in it but then just wandered the library accidentally running into someone in the section about machines which she also found a liking in (Though she wasn't a professional)

Jasmine went over to the library. She was overwhelmed with answering questions and pointing people to their rooms. Let the guards handle that. The library was her safe haven. She had her own little room that she could go in when she didn't really want to be bothered. Upon seeing Zoey and someone else, she walked over to them. "Hey Zoey, hey........er........I never got your name, but what do you think of the library? It's my pride and joy. It has a lot of books that you don't find just anywhere." Her eyes were shining as she said it and had that aura of confidence about her. Jasmine had an entire section of the library filled with her personal books. She found that she couldn't really recommend a single book to a person, so the entire section was deemed "Jasmine's Best Picks." Magic, Engineering, Science, Adventure Novels, Sci-Fi, Biographies of navigators and grand wizards.
"If you don't mind my asking, what are your motivations for joining Mr. Weiss on his mission? I'm here because I love the ocean. Not only that, but he's my mentor in Business and I know I can help him by doing something he himself doesn't know how to do." She was referring to diving. Weiss only had the bare minimums of swimming. He could save himself from drowning, but that was about it.

Tom was surprised by someone bumping into him. Before he could speak to her, another woman approached. "My name is Thomas and I think your library has a great collection of books. I'm here because I want to see how far we can push are technology in pursuit of exploration." Thomas replied. Since Tom was a child, all he wanted to do was invent. When he was younger, his pursuit for exploration was to the moon but as he got older, there's a place 20ft from him that he could explore his whole life and plenty still could be discovered. That was the ocean.

“Aw such as beautiful city. Such color and and activity brings life to the eyes for even the simplest of men.” Viktor often enjoyed festivals such as these. It gave him inspiration to draw a magnificent picture. Though sadly he was limited in time as today was a special day in the young man’s life. The day he would set sail and discover places that no one has ventured to before. He had even prepared himself by participating in magic classes just in case he would find himself underwater without the proper equipment. Saying goodbye to his parents was a little difficult, but if he was going to land a spot in history he needed to move on. Though he always kept his lucky necklace that was given to him by his mother. He dressed himself nicely for the boarding. A freshly pressed tuxedo that was complimented with a black tie and white undershirt. Making a good first impression was important and the way someone dressed often told a lot about one’s character. Or so he liked to believe. Once he had boarded he began chatting with some of his new companions. Some seemed to share his interest and had proper mannerisms. Others seemed to be either snarky or rude. Eventually he decided it was time to discover the more interesting places that the ship held. He had heard that the ship possessed an interesting library filled with both novels and theories. He also figured that’s were most of the research team would be due to obvious reasons.

Upon entering he discovered that only a few people had actaully bothered coming down. Most were probably still in their rooms attempting to acquaint themselves with their new home and surroundings. Others simply may find the Library to be boring and view the more flashier parts of the ship. Either way Viktor found himself pleased to be able to read in peace. Though there was a specific person that had caught his interest due to her already well known name. “Is that Miss Amiri I see? It is such an honor to be working by your side since we’ll both be apart of the research team. And how do you two lovies do? I see you two also enjoy expanding your knowledge as much as I do. Viktor LombaDantes at your service” he said taking a small bow. He did not know the man or the other woman that was around Jasmine. Though if they were in the library they must be interested in learning as much as he was.

Zoey squeaked and walked over to the new person she smile sweetly, "Hello, I'm Zoey." She said hugging the books she held to her chest. Again she kept thinking about the other things her mother had said like true beauty comes from within. She didn't believe her at the time.

Zoey instantly loosened up a bit as she said, "That's really cool! I'm on the research team though I kind of go between being an engineer and researching," She rubbed the back of her neck as a smile formed.

She paid little attention to the festival as she made her way along, lugging her two bags along. She refused her brothers offer of having company for the walk after saying goodbye her family and friends, more focused on the job at what was now an exciting, albeit stressful, job at hand. For Sarah, this wouldn't be her first time taking care of a large amount of people, she was a foctor for christ sake, but the thought of do8ng that job underwater was a little daunting. Surely nothing would go to wrong and she'd only be dealing with the types of injuries you'd expect for something like this, but she still had to wonder. Brushing her bangs out of her face, she continued on.

When she arrived at the correct location, she dug the needed papers out of one of her pockets, presented it when prompted by the guards outside the USS Knight Owl, and boarded. She couldn't help but notice though she was a little late, nobody was waiting outside. "Alright then," She muttered, once again brushing some hair out of her face, but it wasn't the end of the world. Walking around and unfamiliar shop all alone was a great way to get some insight. Well, not really, Sarah felt a bit awkward. She passed quiet a few people, most of which who ignored her, but a guard was kind enough to show her to the bedrooms, and which one was hers. The thought of sharing was on her mind, but she felt like she wasn't going to be in there much anyway.

The same man was also kind enough to show her to the infirmary, then made a joke about the doctor wasn't there yet. Sarah walked in, and sat her bags down, because she could put them away later, and turned to him. "Well, she is now," She told him, a proud smile plastered on her face. The guard just chuckled, and nodded before walking off, leaving her to her own devices. Sarah then syarted looking around at what all they were equipped with, pulling her hair up into a messy bun.

Zoey didn't really want to stay in one place for too long so after a moment she rushed by Tom and went to her room she checked a paper, it said her roommate was a doctor, that was good at least considering how clumsy she was. Zoey dropped her bag on the bed at the right side of the room before opening it and un packing, everything looked perfect so she sat down at the little desk. She put her long black hair into a messy ponytail before opening the books she had grabbed and grabbing a notebook and pencil. At least she could do research to help her calm down and relax a bit. She loved books, machines, writing, and researching, those were the main things she did everyday though she typically would hang out with her brother, but the memory of her younger brother made her flinch because she had left him behind to go on the ship.

Geralf seated himself in his "room". In actuality, it was just an empty closet, which he intentionally chose. This was a decision with the aim of spending as little as possible. Closets weren't originally offered, but after Geralf made the obvious "skeleton in the closet" joke, they had caved. "More spacious than I expected." he noted, able to comfortably sit in the plush chair allowed there for the duration of his stay. "Not much to do in here." Geralf complains, turning the ceiling light on. Heading towards the library for some boredom relieving reading material, Geralf finally manages to knock away a fly that was annoyingly buzzing around his eye socket. Watching it fly away, it just so happened to fly past the infirmary sign. Finding something else to pass the time, Geralf knocks on the door and opens it. "Hey doc, I don't feel so good." he jokes with a mocking tone.

To her surprise there was some empty shelving, with no labels. Nothing was being stored there at the moment, which was wonderful because of what she brought in the larger bag. Inside were some plants, most of which were simple things that she could make into teas that helped nausea, anxiety, insomnia, and other problems all within the same area. Plus, they were refreshing to have around, and provided a small bit of extra oxygen. So, opening the bag, she pulled out a few of the small planters, and sat them down in the middle shelf, leaving the others empty for the time being. She then heard a voice behind her.

Holding up one hand, her index finger extended telling him to wait a minute, despite the mocking tone, She was focused on the plants. Seconds later, small sprouts began pushing their way to through the dirt, at least two weeks of waiting done in a matter of seconds. With a smile, she turned around to face whoever was standing in the door way. Only to have the smile turn to a curious expression. "Well, well, well, you're quiet the sight," She chuckled, walking over to the skeleton man somewhat slowly. She wasn't really scared, or surprised, more interrested than anything. "What do you want?"

Jasmine looked at the book. She only knew the basics of engineering, only having read books on it and not getting hands on. "Oh? There is plenty to look at then. More specifically, you'd be interested in the Control Room or the Diving Room. There is where we keep our submarine manuals and the ship operation manuals. Those would be very useful for this mission. The submarines here are designed with both Magic and Technology to go deeper in the ocean than ever before. This ship also has some different magitech from other ships, designed to take quite a bit of punishment while still retaining speed." The quicker he got himself familiar with the workings of the submarine and ship, the better. All the teams were very important, but the engineer team had direct influence on whether or not they could dive at 100%.
