THE LINE OF FIRE
When the lines of war and crimes start to blur, what happens? This role play focuses on the Vietnam war during the periods after 1965 when the US started sending in infantryman to Vietnam. There are four interlinking factions and stories, each with conflicting views and ideals. This role play, from then onwards changes into a more free form role play, as the role players can indefinitely change the ideals, or even create more factions. This is a more realistic role play, which focuses on the effects of war on soldiers, and how they react upon it. Please keep in mind that this is a realistic role play, there are no fantasy creatures, zombies or any sci-fi doodads.
These are the four factions, their stories or ideals are subject to change, hell, even all this are subject to change, depending on the player's interest or ideas:
1. United States Marine corps: a group of commandos, who specialize in jungle warfare, are sent into the wild, but the whole operation went fully wrong when their chopper was attacked by the Viet Cong. Left in the wild and with limited radio connections, they try to survive and cripple the Viet Cong as much as they can before dying.
2. Viet Cong: After the initial shock and awe attack by the United States army and the declaration of war. The villagers and all the people are given a gun and told to fight for the army. A group of people are chosen before they're given minimal training and left to face the horrors of war alone.
3. Khmer rouge: a group of people were chosen by the leader to act as scouts, and were told to use guerrilla warfare to take out the American army. They were told to use extreme forms of torture to crack their victims and enforce intimidation and destroy villages to ensure that the south Vietnamese are completely obliterated along with the US.
4. South Vietnam: In an effort to defend themselves, a group of people are given guns and moderate training before they were told to hold back the Viet cong and the khmer rouge, and defend the potentially burning villages.
May it be also included that this Role play doesn't strictly follow the actual history. Major events or actions will be discussed beforehand, and has to be voted on.
This idea (interest check) is really barebones, the chances are slim that this idea here will represent the role play in its current form.
