Magitek to put it simply is technology fused with magic and brought on by magic, usually technomancy. Most forms of it is either powered by someone that actually has technomancy, or more commonly by Magitek crystals. Large magitek crystals generally power homes for a set amount of time, longer power costs more. Huge ones power contraptions such as the artillery cannons mounted on the outer wall of the city on either end, these crystals are called Gaia Crystals and aren't affordable by any citizen by any means.

At best citizens of Aiaran have a crystal that can power their homes indefinitely, and even then these citizens are usually your more wealthy upper class and not your average commoner. Technology outside of the crystal itself is fairly advanced. Guns, cars, most modern inventions are possible with a little bit of technomancy and a crystal. It is possible to get a gun that fires high powered laser beams, a small portable surgical bay, or even a wrist mounted PDA device.

It is most common however to use them for lower powered weapons and the aforementioned devices, as it is possible for stronger weapons to need their crystals replaced whilst lower tier weapons that are still just as good could never need theirs replaced. Ultimately it comes down to the item, it's size, what it does, how powerful it is, and how much a person wants to spend on the embedded crystal.

The average person won't have access to super advanced weaponry in the first place, most of it being experimental tech employed by only the highest of officers. At best, the average person is able to purchase mid-tier laser weaponry, rifles, ammunition, and the like. PDA devices and such are decently common, anything else depends on the luck of the person and how much money they have to spend.​
