Lani was prepared for pain. She watched as the monster raised his spear to strike. Just then the crack of a whip sounded as the weapon lashed itself to the spear. Both she and the bokoblin were equally surprised, but Lani recovered first. With a sweep of her leg she knocked the monster's legs out from under him. Using the momentum of the sweep she carried it through, springing back up to a fighting stance.
"Thanks for the assist!" She called to Zaris, giving him a cheeky salute. It only took three steps for her to reclaim her bow. The bokoblin, spear now lost, only had time to get up before the end of Lani's bow collided with his face, sending him flying.
The Rito beat her wings once and in a great, soaring leap, landed by Zaris to fight at his side.
"These bokoblins are terrible guests! We should revoke their invitations."

Link was forced back to reality by loud bangs, then screams and cries as people realized what was happening-- Bokoblins. Lots of 'em. Eyes wide, he watched as the pig-like creatures poured through what had once been a wall and people began to flee, though some were jumping at the chance to fight.

Completely ignoring... whatever was happening to his hand, the hylian sprung into action, keeping a hand on the hilt of his sword as he began to usher a few shell-shocked children that had gotten separated from their parents away from the ensuing chaos. 'Everything's gonna be okay,' he wanted to soothe as one of them choked out a sob, though found he couldn't, his voice caught in his throat as he kept the little ones moving, doing his best to stay clear of the assailants.

"L-Link, where are we going?" Arialla, a short girl with blonde hair asked, her voice quivering

He looked at her, offering a small smile before pointing to a house down the road. Ite's house. Link wouldn't have been surprised if his adoptive mother had already gone out, blades at the ready, but regardless, the little house should be pretty safe.

Link pushed the door open as soon as they arrived, waving for the little ones to enter before following suit. Letting out a quiet sigh, he went to pull the curtains shut as the kids huddled together, occasionally sniffling and chattering softly to one another. He wanted to go out and help rid his little village of the intruders, but he couldn't just leave the kids alone...

Yemu

Receiving the Shield in his very on hands. Yemu felt the urge to hold the Shield out more in front of him, emphasizing the fact that he actually got it in his own hands while basking it's wonderful design. He looked back to the shield's merchant to thank him. Although his smile was invisible to the man's eyes but one can tell he is glad.

"I promise to tell everyone about your shop and your wares. Thank you, sir!" He politely thanked him with great gratitude, followed with a small bow in the end. Yemu has now the obligation to tell everyone about the shop. Something he never bother to complain about since it is only fair for a trade. His quest for endorsing the shop begins. Yemu began his mission to invite and inform every single soul he finds on his way about the store. It wasn't an exaggeration when it was said that he'd tell every single individual he meets that, he will advertise the shop. Children, couples, other merchants, Old people, etc. No one was safe from Yemu's endorsement. Despite the strong will to actually do advertisement for a shop. Unfortunately, he is mostly disregarded and taken lightly. For he is, to their eyes is just some kid with a shield. Little did they know that Yemu was actually trying to sell them something. Yemu felt a bit down because no one literally believed him that the Shield is actually good. Yemu felt like he needed to return the shield back after failing to attempt to drag more customer's into their shop. He felt like his day could get bad.

Speaking of bad, moments later before he decides to just return the item. Yemu's odd shaped ears picked up a horrifying sound. The sound of screaming and chaos. At first, he thought this was just the village hyping up it's people but Yemu still felt uneasy because that sound that he thinks is normal sounded very disturbing as if there is trouble. The Kokiri kept calm and walked right into the discord area of the Village where madness ensues. There he saw a complete mess of people and things start to throw here and there.

(Closed for interactions for now)

"Hmm? What's going on?" He asked himself before heading out towards the chaos he is about to witness. Yemu's young curiosity got the best of him. The fact that this screaming and shouting have going on and on that it could be actual trouble.

Zaris thought very little of Lani's little gesture as she proceeded to defeat the Bokoblin that was planning on impaling her, and at the very least shot her a quick nod.

After the Rito had landed at his side, Zaris briefly rolled his eyes before they came to rest facing Lani, his back toward hers as he pulled his whip back from around the Bokoblin spear. Pulling down his mask, Zaris responded, "I don't recall anyone inviting these simpleminded pigs. If anything, they let themselves in-- quite forcefully, at that. Still, Bokoblins that know how to use Bomb Arrows? Whatever next, a Hinox flying in with a Hookshot?"

Zaris scanned about for the Hylian he was planning on visiting the food vendor with, but could not see him anywhere. /He must be busy getting his fellow citizens to safety... at least he's helping, if that's the case. He did have a sword for self-defense-- I just hope he knows how to use it./

As Zaris waited with Lani for any further reinforcements, one other thought rushed through his head. The scarf-wearing boy he had spotted with the shield vendor; where had he gone? A shield, much less a wooden one, would not be enough to protect him for too long if he had no weapon to use. Zaris had to fight off the Bokoblins, and the fact that someone was assisting him made this all the better, but he had to find the boy before he got himself too terribly injured (and perhaps throw a Rupee or two his way to get the vendor off his rear).

The army of bokoblins was starting to go down one by one. They left no remains as the monsters blew up into black smoke upon death. The guards were doing a decent job making quick work of the army, especially with Zaria and Lani disposing of a few their selves.
The guards with spears surrounded the king and robed figure, keeping them away from the horde. One however ran by on horse back and fired an arrow directly at the king, hitting him in the torso, the king passed out right then. Several guards rushed to his aid and looked around for a place to move him.
They attempted to move him to the nearest shelter they could see while the rest of the guards stayed behind to fight off the horde.
The guards knocked on the door but didn't seem interested in waiting for an answer as they forced their way inside.

Yemu

Just as chaos unfolds before his very eyes. His adrenaline rush skyrocketed to the point that he could move almost anywhere without realizing it. Trouble was scattered here and there, all he had was a shield to protect himself with. He could use his pick hammer to defend himself from these Bokoblins but he was not taking any risks of getting himself hurt, trying to fight a creature who actually knows the way of violent confrontation. Sure, the enemies are huge in numbers and armed with brute weaponry but he can think. Yemu has his guts, wits and fair skills. Now, the game is cat and mouse. Yemu had to be very careful with his choices on where to head next. The flow of the panicking civilians was distorted. Going against the flow will result in a bad outcome such as, being trampled over by older civilians, Bokoblins will find him and destroy him or even get in someone's way which will cost more trouble.

Yemu observed his surroundings very carefully. Planning to head in a direction, where it is safe and fast. He plans to get to a more safer area where there is no trouble but he can only see a few from a distance. Time was running out and he had to decide very quickly before the Bokoblins find him. He stood for so long that he, himself is starting to panic. Yemu tried to snap himself out a couple of times before actually succeeding to remind himself to move. He noticed that it would be a lot faster and safer for Yemu to go with the flow and hide behind local shop stands and other small buildings. He wanted to stay away from the battlefield as far as possible. Yemu started to make his move. The Kokiri dashed towards the first crowd of evacuating citizens and went on with their flow. He dashed behind a tall man who was clearing everything in front while he safely drafts in the back. The boy later ditched the tall man to hide behind a shop stand, hiding from the enemy eyes. Now, this is where his natural stealth takes place. Thanks to his natural stealth. He was now out of sight. He was so well hidden from enemies and allies apart, even the royal guards lost track of him as he hid from stand to stand, flow from flow. He repeated this tactic of his over and over until he gets to the safer areas.

While repeating his process again and again. He was almost close to the safer areas, just a bit more hiding and running. It was just one more flow surf tactic and he is home safe. That is until the crowd got distorted and now he accidentally ran into a Bokobling, head on. He quickly realizes the danger he is in right now and the bokoblin was quick to react to him. The Bokoblin raised their blunt weapon up high and smashed it against Yemu with a powerful blow. Out of pure instinct and second nature. His arms reacted first before him. He rose his shield against the deadly blow that could end him right there but he blocked it with the shield. The weapon collides with the shield and a loud crash was heard. The Kokiri remained unscathed but they fell to the ground due the Bokoblin's brute force alone, crushing him down. The Bokoblin wanted to repeat their attack again and Yemu was still on the cold ground trying to stand up from the brutal attack. He wasn't in a good position to block the devastating attack and this second strike could surely leave a mark. Yemu tried to raise his shield again but it was no longer necessary since a royal guard already slain the Bokoblin for him. As natural response goes, he was scolded and told it's foolish to face them head on but it didn't matter for Yemu for he was safe. He stood up and tried to escape the chaotic battlefield. He was so close to arrive at the safer areas. Moments later, Yemu arrived at a rather safer road with a house down the trail. Yemu got slightly a bit lost on his way out of the battlefield. Little did he knnow that a lone Bokoblin had followed him all the way while he escaped. Armed with a bow and arrow, they aimed their bow against a tall blonde boy's head down the road. Whom was assisting a group of children through a small house. The Bokoblin hasn't noticed his presence yet but Yemu had to make a move.

Running towards the Bokoblin's line of fire. Yemu tried to block the shot by shielding it with his newfound shield. A crazy plan but he couldn't think of any better ones at such quick moment. To truly block to the shot. He jumped upwards, aligning the arrow with the shield. At the brief moment. He succeeded, he fully blocked the shot. The arrow may or may not have stick to the shield but it was stopped completely from reaching the target's head in time. The boy, for the second time had saved a life on the second block. The Bokoblin may be furious upon seeing Yemu blocking the assault, just right before it it got slain by one of the Royal guards flooding in with a injured important figure. The royal guards may have ignored Yemu's presence for they were too focused on their main objective. Yemu didn't mind but he can't relax yet. If the Royal guards are here, then the battle will be brought here too. Yemu theorized as he tried to assume that there will be more of those guys chargin' down the house. Yemu had to atleast contribute just a bit for them, after all. He could potentially advertise the shield at the same time but for a better purpose. He ran to the very back of the group of Royal guardsmen again, unseen by the guards. He went for a back field support which was ironic since he is the one with a shield. Isn't he supposed to be going up front. Now, Yemu was pretty self confident that he could make a good fast pace run through the defense line for a good block. Despite having no real weapon. Yemu can still perform 3 more valuable things, block, dodge and hide.

"Ha! Don't say that!" Lani laughed, firing another arrow straight at a bokoblin that tried get past her to the fleeing people. "I really don't feel like fighting a hinox today!" She could tell something was on the warrior's mind as they fought. He seemed distracted.
"If you have people you need to search for I'm with you. It's the least I can do."
But it was then the last mounted bokoblin surged forward. Lani couldn't do much against a horse and had to jump aside again, this time keeping her feet and watching the monster make its shot. She saw the king go down.
"No!" She shouted, frustration in her voice. She didn't need to have seen the man for long to know he was important. Guards swarmed the injured man, keeping the advancing monsters at bay.
Lani began to move with them, protecting their flank and helping them get into the house they'd chosen to take refuge in. It was clear now what the monsters' end goal was, and they may have just succeeded. She leveled a shot at the bokoblin that had hit the king, loosing her arrow straight at its head.
"We can't let them get past us!" She called to Zaris, smacking another bokoblin that got too close.

LINK
~-~*~-~

A sudden knock on the door silenced what little conversation the children were managing to hold, the youngest among them quickly seeking refuge behind the taller ones. Link shot them as soothing a smile he could manage before drawing his sword, expecting to see a bokoblin if he opened the door.

Or... if the door began to open on its own, as it just had.

Ite really needs a lock, he thought, gritting his teeth and raising his blade in preparation for the fight he expected to come. Much to his surprise, relief, and horror, there stood a group of Royal Guards, carrying a very obviously wounded King. Seeking... shelter? He wondered, quickly stepping aside and sheathing his sword as the group forced their way further into the cramped house. Link sheathed his sword and gestured for them to rest the King on the couch with a quiet little grunt for emphasis, worriedly eyeing the arrow embedded in his chest. He couldn't help but wonder if the bokoblins had purposely gone for the royal, or if this was a pure coincidence. If it was the former... no, they weren't that intelligent... were they? Then again, they had managed to get their grubby little hands on bomb arrows...

The blond shook his head, clearing his mind of such thoughts and turning his attention back to the rather mortified looking little ones. He carefully approached them, ruffling ones hair before gently nudging them towards the stairs. He pointed up at the ceiling with an encouraging smile, watching as the little group hesitantly clambered upstairs, letting out a sigh of relief when they were out of sight. They'd been through enough today, there was no need for them to see whatever else would unfold.

While Lani was making light of Zaris' comment, Zaris himself did not. "I do not wish to fight one, myself. Though, if it happens, I'll know what to do. The Blade of Evil's Bane these whips are not, but they get the job done." When the Rito brought up the premise of helping him search for someone, Zaris gave a sigh. "No, it's..." He quickly realized, however, that now was not the time to act like nothing was bothering him. "Look... there was a blonde-haired Hylian I was with not too long ago. He had a sword on his back. You... haven't seen him anywhere, have you? There was also a young boy in green, with a scarf 'round his neck. I last saw him with the shield merchant."

Then, an arrow had been loosed and had struck the larger of the two cloaked figures that had disembarked from the escorted carriage. Zaris bared his teeth as he made a quiet growling sound. "That does it. Now they've crossed a line." He followed Lani over to the house that she and the royal guards were protecting. "If they think they're getting in, they have another thing coming." The Bokoblins were coming, and Zaris was more than prepared for them. He turned his head to the door and called inside, "Not to worry, we'll help as best as we can."

A few guards set the king down to tend to his injury while the rest ran out to continue the fight against the remaining bokoblins. They gave a thankful nod to Lani and Zaris.
Inside the house the guards were attempting to remove the arrow and stitch the king's wound shut.
The smaller cloaked figure approached Link.
" Thank you for opening your home to us. This is vitally important."
The figure's voice was soft and feminine, upon a closer look small strands of blonde hair were peeking out of the hood, although their face was still mostly hidden.
The tingling feeling on his hand would return.
The bokoblins were slowly going down one by one, barely any were left at this point. It looked like everyone was winning.
As if from no where the ground began to shake, something was running towards the village. There was the distinct sound of horse hooves, but what kind of horse would be large enough to shake the earth like this.

Breaking down the remaining wall a large monster with the legs of a horse, torso of a muscular man, and head of a lion burst in. Its fur was a bright red and it wielded and oddly shaped sword and shield.

Lani looked sheepish when Zaris asked his question. "Eeerrrm...to be honest...all you hylians don't look too different to me. B-but don't worry! I'm sure he's all right. We've got these bokoblins pretty well rounded up! We'll look for him right after!" Lani drew another arrow and took a bokoblin in the head, watching with satisfaction as it withered into a black shell and burst apart in a cloud of smoke, she only had a few arrows left however, good thing the fight was almost over.
It was only when the smoke cleared that she felt the rumbling. Lani looked down, tiny pebbles were dancing at her feet, bounced by something huge and heavy pounding its way toward the village. When she looked back up...she wished she hadn't.
"Uh, I take it back. A Hinox is fine." Lani said, eyes wide with shock. The Lynel brandished its sword and bellowed. Lani was afraid for only a moment before she steeled herself.
"We can't fight this thing in the village! It'll wreck the whole place! We need to draw it into the open!"
Lani started forward first, lifting into the air with a powerful jump. She winged her way toward the monster, swooping by its head, careful to stay out of its range.
"Hey! Horse-breath! Come this way for some tasty Rito!"
To antagonize the beast further Lani draw another arrow and loosed it, aiming for the creature's snarling face.
