"OOF!!!!"

The sound of a large crash came from the beach on the outskirts of Jubilife Village. The flaps and squawks of Wingull could be heard as they flew away in flocks from the mysterious source of the crash.

"Unnnghhh..." the girl groaned. She could feel her head pounding. What the fuck just happened...? Where the fuck was she? Her vision was blurry... but she could tell she definitely wasn't in her room. She could hear the sound of the waves... the small of saltwater wafted gently into her nose... She struggled to push herself up, weakly standing on her feet.

She looked up at the sky, clear and blue. It felt like she had fallen... but that was impossible, right? She had no clue where she was. There was a beach and some hills, leading to some old looking village. Was she at a theme park or something? This made no sense... She could hear the ambient sounds of Pokemon, so she at least knew she wasn't in some alternate dimension.

"Hello?" she called out. "Is anyone around?" She should probably see if there was anyone in that village, but her head hurt too much to consider moving more than a few feet.

Hisui was a vastly different place from Kalos, especially to someone like Lycoris - who was practically confined within a clinic his whole life. The city he grew up in was much different than that of Jubilife Village, where you could see nature in full bloom at practically every turn. It was like everything was in harmony in such a small village, which was beautiful to such a sheltered person like himself. Of course, most of that harmony was all thanks to the Galaxy Team - which practically ran the village. They were a team of people from all around the world, dedicated to studying Hisui and all that it had to offer. It was just one of the many things that made Hisui such a unique place.

But by far the most obscure thing about the region was the massive rift in the sky, just above the peak of Mount Coronet. Lycoris was told that it just appeared one day with no explanation, which immediately piqued his interest. This interest only grew when he heard that occasionally strange objects would fall through the rift from time to time, and that occurances called “Space-Time Distortions” could also occur and trigger the appearance of these items. Once Lycoris found this out, he began seeking out these distortions or loiter around the Coronet Highlands for any sort of strange item he could find. Lycoris had no intention of looking for any of those strange objects at the moment, instead planning on looking for medicinal plants or look for more Pokemon to bring back to his home. But the sound of a large crash near the village changed those plans immediately. Although there were plenty of people in the Security Corps of the Galaxy Team to handle the situation, most were too afraid to check out of fear of a rampaging Pokemon.

So Lycoris was sent instead, since he was brave enough to not only keep Pokemon in his house but also to try and fight an Alpha Pokemon without initiating a battle. With his Glameow Feverfew on his shoulder, the plague doctor made his way down to Prelude Beach, humming a tune as he walked. What he saw on the beach was not what he was expecting to see. Instead of a rampaging Pokemon, there was a girl in strange clothing. She looked confused, like she was somewhere else before awakening on the beach. Lycoris couldn’t believe his eyes. He thought a person falling through the rift in the sky was impossible, but clearly this girl was proof that his previous thoughts were wrong.

❝Well, isn’t this interesting, Feverfew!❞ Lycoris spoke towards his Glameow, who only turned away from her eccentric owner in response. Slowly, he approached the strange girl, an excited grin forming on his face.

❝Of all the things I’ve seen fall through that rift…❞ He began, staring up towards the sky at the large rift above Mount Coronet. ❝I’ve never seen a human go through it before!❞ He suddenly beamed in excitement, turning his attention back to the strange girl.

❝And surviving a fall from that height must have been no easy feat! Almost impossible, certainly!❞ He marveled, eyeing the stranger intently in amazement. ❝Are you sure you’re not wounded at all, sky girl?❞ Lycoris then asked, his attention finally moving to the girl’s face.

❝I am a doctor, so any ailment you have - I can cure it! Anything at all!❞ He proceeded to add, sounding a bit too confident about his skills.
