Bending Art: Eden is a gifted earthbender, however nature around her seems to respond to her too and she prefers playing in the flowers rather then using her earthbending.
Non-bending skills: Eden is very aware of different plants around her and could easily tell which plants and ferns would be good for medicinal use or which ones could kill you which a single taste.
Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons: Eden dislikes weapons but in case of an emergency she has a small hairpin given to her from her mother than can be used as a tiny dagger.
Other Skills: As I mentioned above, Eden could be considered a healer of sorts which is a useful skill

Personality: Eden is a very calm soul, often very patient and sweet to those around her. She is known for her hospitality and is excited by flowers and small plants around her. However, Eden is quick to adopt those she becomes close to and will often mother them to death, constantly nagging them to take care of themselves or be kind to others. Not a a lot gets through Eden's skin at the surface however she often takes things said to her or about her and allows it to break her down in private. While Eden is a sweet and calm soul, she has so patience for those who mistreat others either because of weakness or just because and is willing to take you down if you are caught being disrespectful and rude to innocent people.
Backstory: Eden grew up with her mom who was a well known Herbalist and taught Eden at a young age to appreciate nature around her and that if you treated the world with kindness, it would smile fondly back at her and protect her. Eden's father was rumored to be a powerful earth kingdom soldier who died in war before Eden was even born, but Eden's mother moved away from her hometown and those who had known her father. Eden lived a happy life with her mother until she was 12 and her mother became very sick, with none of her medicines used for other seeming to help her, and she soon fell into a deep coma leaving Eden to care for her mother every day in hopes that she could one day be there when her mother awoke and things could return to normal.

Appearance: She has a fair amount of scars and imperfections, but she's always made sure to cover them with makeup. It's incredibly rare to see her without some sort of beauty product on, as she's very self contious of her appearance.

Bending Art: Fire bender. She first showed aptitude at the art as a toddler playing with her non-bender brother. While not a prodigy, bending was always something that came easy to her and she began her training at the age of seven with her mother, one of the few benders of the village. After leaving home, her bending skills were good enough to entertain some audience members, but she knew she would have to improve if she truly wanted to make a name for herself. Working for a traveling company that scoured many different villages, meeting new benders wasn't a struggle, and she was able to train with quite a large number of gifted masters. Not only that, but her developing acting skills made it easier for her to control her emotions, an essential skill for any gifted fire bender. This control over her emotions also allows her to generate and control the direction of lighting, a style of bending she only knew about because of books and rumors. Yet, she's only used this to amuse others, as stage combat with lighting was deeemed irresponsible and too dangerous.

Non-bending skills: She's incredibly nimble and agile, able to jump from one place to the other with little effort and evade others with ease.

Preferred weapon: None. She's always relied heavily on her bending. Which she's quite good at, so it's never given her any troubles.

Other Skills: Growing up as a performer, Akari has amazing acting skills. She's good at lying and hiding her emotions, which often comes in handy when she needs to convince someone of something.

Personality: Akari goes through great strides to make sure she’s perceived as the most charismatic, fun and entertaining person you will ever meet. The years she's spent moving from stage to stage, often with new people and always being around others have given her exc eptional people skills, meaning she's comfortable around strangers and able to form friendships and gain other's trust faster than most - something she often uses this to her advantage. She might as well have a giant stagelight on her at all times, as her often loud and “out-there” attitude usually makes her the center of attention. Attention that, of course, she basks in and absolutely despises losing.

These are all traits that, of course, are all at a surface level. But her true self, the person she is behind close doors, tells a different story. Truth be told, she doesn't care much about those around her. Despite her talks of loyalty and many friendships, the people she actually cares about and is truly loyal to she could count in one hand. To Akari, most people are nothing more than means to and end, and she sees most relationships as purely business-related. Because of this, she has a hard time opening up to people and fears what will happen to her if someone were to find out the reason why she does most things. She's a gifted liar, using her cunning to get away from situations without violence out of fear of confrontation ruining her public image. While she's not as wealthy as she wishes (far from it), she carries herself as such. Constantly (yet secretly) looking down on others and being incredibly superficial, especially when it comes to appearance. While she can adapt quickly to new enviorements and generally good under preassure, she worries constantly and gets stressed easily, which sometimes hinders her firebending as it doesn't allow her to control her emotions as well as she usually can.

Backstory: Akari was born to a loving yet impoverished family in a desolate Fire Nation village. Her parents, both fish merchants, worked tirelessly to provide for their four children, but were only able to provide the bare minimum. Life was hard, with starvation and disease constant threats, but they got by. Akari, while understanding that their situation wasn’t good, had never envisioned herself anywhere else. That was, until she accompanied her father to the capital city for the first time. She’d never been met with such wonder and grandeur in her life. The buildings stood tall and firm with the most beautiful red and golden tones, the citizens walked around dressed with clothes so fine she could barely control herself from running her hands through the fabric, and the streets were so clean she couldn't help but feel filthy and inferior in comparison. It was then when she realized that the lavish life the people lead was the one she wanted, and she would do anything for that wealth and prestige.


Inspired by a poster from the Ember Island players, Akari left home shortly after to join the entertainment world. Despite her lack of experience when it came to acting and performance in general, productions liked her drive and, most importantly, the fact that she was a firebender. Benders weren’t rare, even so far from the capital where most of the people with said abilities were, but the audience still loved a good firebending demonstration, especially when it came accompanied with a good play. She worked hard to improve her craft, which eventually gave her a good reputation as a performer and a modest amount of fame. But it wasn’t enough. The people were nice, sure, but being a theatre actress in no way what gave her the amount of prestige and power she so desperately yearned for. So when the chance arose to become the Avatar’s firebending teacher, a respected position people in Fire Nation academies would only dream of having, she immediately quit her company and joined the team.

Bending Art: Angus is an airbender who takes the teaching and wisdom of the monks who came before him at heart. He is light on his feet, ever-changing like the wind and incorporates circular and evasive movements in his bending style, however it is far from being pacifistic.
Non-bending skills: Angus recognized that relying on his bending alone would only become limitation to him in a scenario where using it might be less than favorable or even improbable and has focused a fair amount of his time learning martial arts that involved using your opponentent's power against them as well as including joint locks, submissions, throws and ground game tactics rather than pure brute force. He also become proficient at using his glider as a staff in combat although he prefers fighting bare handed.
Preferred Weapon: Glider
Other Skills: By trying to embody what it truly means to be an airbender when developing his martial arts skills, he focused primarily on defensive techniques as well as his reaction time. This allowed him to become adept at dodging and avoiding attacks without the use of his bending.

Personality: - Angus is a light hearted fellow who prefers to avoid unnecessary conflicts whenever he can. He isn't exactly a shining beacon of kindness or optimism but tries day in and day out to be the best possible person he can be despite his ever present anger issues. When interacting with new people and animals he often comes off as shy due to sheer amount of nervous he experiences in the moment, but after one gets to know him better it becomes apparent, just how mellow yet head strong of a person he really is. He is noted to be an airhead by many people due to how often he ends up spacing out during conversations and other important activities but the truth is that most of the time he is simply thinking things over that deeply.

Backstory: Angus was born and raised in the northern air temple and showed no inherent talent in the art of air bending. So much so that it was thought at first that he may not have been born a bender and was often teased by the other children because of it which caused him to develop a bit of a temper. Through hard work and trial and error (one that even resulted in him falling from a small and breaking his arm after practicing his gliding) though he was able to catch up to many of his friends. He would devote most of his time and effort into studying the past scriptures and teachings of previous airbenders and applying it to his style while still taking a few creative liberaties. Although he achieved his goal of proving his friends wrong and stopping all the incessant teasing, Angus has become interested in what the philosophy behind the other bending styles may have to offer and how he could potentially apply it to his own bending in his quest to become an airbending master.

Bending Art: Firebending—specifically, heatbending, a personalized art that requires much focus, little movement, and excellent motor-control skills. Useless in a front-on fight.

Non-bending skills: Lockpicking, stealth, and climbing. That's about it, besides being quick to repair their glider.

Fighting styles:
Rope-Dart: Always continuing to move, Flame with a rope-dart is something deadly, even if the dart isn't bladed. They keep hitting and hitting and sometimes can even strangle someone if they tried.

They almost always carry this weapon, whether it be wrapped around their arms or looped around the back of their neck (akin to a scarf).

Dagger: No lunging, always slicing. They let the opponent make the first move and always make high-damage hits, never wasting energy, as they know these can drag on.

Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons/equipment:
-Long (34ft) ropedart disguised as a black scarf
-A pair of small daggers sheathed by their back.
-Large glider (35+ft wingspan) that they carry around. Base is made of wood and reinforced with metal. Engravings line the front, seemingly characters from an odd language.

More often than not, they can be found with their nose in a book, sitting by a fire and likely humming some song under their breath. They enjoy the little things in life; quiet moments to themself, late-night glides, etc. They rarely get close to people on account of their fear of abandonment, but when they do, they are very loyal and very protective, though in such a way that it's a little hard to notice at first.

Flame's general demeanor follows along the lines of; do not speak unless spoken to, when speaking to anyone who's not a professor that garners respect, be as sarcastic and cynical as possible, and generally keep to the shadows and try your hardest to be ignored.

Flame wasn't so much raised on the road as they were in the sky. The gliders their—what they call a "Guild"—had created made that easy. They were all outcasts, "roosting" in mountains, trees, and anywhere off the ground. They've been to practically everywhere, but never really interacted with anyone but the Guild, ending up with some animalistic behaviors.

During one particularly bad storm, Jet and Flame were separated from their group and ended-up crash-landing (insert where we'll be starting here).

Other:
Flame has aphantsia.
No accent.
Not good at mimicking human things, but decent at animalistic sounds.
Very many scars from parkour accidents.
Has experience with raising and training small songbirds (they spent most of their time in the woods; you think they wouldn't feed the small chirpy things in the trees?)

He's not very good with damaging attacks, but his precision attacks and the other ways he uses his bending are nigh-unmatchable, able to get an accurate read on someone from just reading the electricity that comes off of them. This has evolved to something akin to mind-reading when it comes to Flame, but anyone else, he only gets a vague vibe from.

Non-bending skills: He's a very good cook, and also matching Flame in stealth, though he fights better with his Nodachi than daggers.

Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons: Mid-sized Nodachi and a glider similar to Flame's, though equipped with bright cyan stripes along the edges of its wings.

Other Skills:
-Steady hands. He was his Guild's emergency medical assistant, and can and will do a blood transfusion with nothing but a coconut and a leech.
-Excellent distraction. There's something about Jet and the way he speaks that tends to have others continuing to speak, as well. This makes him exceptional at working information out of people.

Personality:

Jet is an… interesting figure. Despite being physically intimidating, he is quite a gentle soul. He’s very polite, and took on an oath of working to help instead of harm people, and would only ever fight for his, or other’s lives.

Even if he’s not feeling well emotionally, he will keep up a mask of mirth and will often refuse to tend to his own needs in favor of making sure those around him are living well. Most of the time, the best way to tell his mental state is to check how often the violin, which is framed at the top inside of his bedroom’s door, is used. The more he uses it, the worse he’s feeling, as it’s one of his most-effective outlets.

That being said, he is incredibly protective of friends and family, and the slightest endangerment to their health could have him hissing thinly-disguised warnings in your general direction.

He lived most of his life training for the army, though he could never get the hang of firebending (to do with an asshole spirit limiting his bending to a certain art); he also couldn't understand the logic, and, in fact, acted more like a waterbender. This became very obvious when one night, while he was patrolling on the outer wall of the fire-nation, he was struck by an off-shot from someone practicing lightning bending.

It stopped before it even neared him, hovering in the air in front of him before he figured out how to release it.

That day was a bad day, despite all the positivity he was getting for his unique bending-style.

He ran. He ran away, ending up in the Earth kingdom... where the Guild adopted him.

He helped take care of the children for the longest time, content with not having to use the buzzing energy curled around his spine. Flame grew an attachment to him, and he started courting the Guildleader's son. Life was good.

And then a hurricane fucked it up and sent them crashing into a tree.

Bending Art: Angus is an airbender who takes the teaching and wisdom of the monks who came before him at heart. He is light on his feet, ever-changing like the wind and incorporates circular and evasive movements in his bending style, however it is far from being pacifistic.
Non-bending skills: Angus recognized that relying on his bending alone would only become limitation to him in a scenario where using it might be less than favorable or even improbable and has focused a fair amount of his time learning martial arts that involved using your opponentent's power against them as well as including joint locks, submissions, throws and ground game tactics rather than pure brute force. He also become proficient at using his glider as a staff in combat although he prefers fighting bare handed.

Other Skills: By trying to embody what it truly means to be an airbender when developing his martial arts skills, he focused primarily on defensive techniques as well as his reaction time. This allowed him to become adept at dodging and avoiding attacks without the use of his bending.

Personality: - Angus is a light hearted fellow who prefers to avoid unnecessary conflicts whenever he can. He isn't exactly a shining beacon of kindness or optimism but tries day in and day out to be the best possible person he can be despite his ever present anger issues. When interacting with new people and animals he often comes off as shy due to sheer amount of nervous he experiences in the moment, but after one gets to know him better it becomes apparent, just how mellow yet head strong of a person he really is. He is noted to be an airhead by many people due to how often he ends up spacing out during conversations and other important activities but the truth is that most of the time he is simply thinking things over that deeply.

Backstory: Angus was born and raised in the eastern air temple and showed no inherent talent in the art of air bending. So much so that it was thought at first that he may not have been born a bender and was often teased by the other children because of it which caused him to develop a bit of a temper. Through hard work and trial and error (one that even resulted in him falling from a small and breaking his arm after practicing his gliding) though he was able to catch up to many of his friends. He would devote most of his time and effort into studying the past scriptures and teachings of previous airbenders and applying it to his style while still taking a few creative liberaties. Although he achieved his goal of proving his friends wrong and stopping all the incessant teasing, Angus has become interested in what the philosophy behind the other bending styles may have to offer and how he could potentially apply it to his own bending in his quest to become an airbending master.

Kodah is a very passionate and understanding person. He only wishes to see everyone he cares about in a safe environment and in good spirits. Backstory
Born to a family of benders, life seemed to be simple. His mother raised him in kindness, nurturing his spirit and keeping him safe from anger and pain. His father showed him the way of strength, bending to survive by hunting and fighting. Both sides kept him balanced as yin to yang, and yet Kodah still found himself lacking in one more than the other. The young bender would do anything for his family and friends. Still, he couldn't truly embrace his role among the tribe. Kodah lacked talent for hunting and fishing. When it came to combat, he found himself being beaten nearly every time. The conflict within him brought a block to his talent for healing. Whatever was going on within him, he needed to fix it for himself.

In order to become who he needed to be, Kodah decided to set off and find who he really was. A warrior both strong and courageous? A lover both kind and gentle? Neither? His journey has only begun. Sometime, somehow, he will truly find who he is.

Anuro is a short, toned young woman with a neat hourglass figure. She has long chestnut brown hair that reaches her mid-back, which is normally tied up in some sort of bun or braid. She has dark, almond-shaped eyes, and weirdly long eyelashes. Her features are strong and sharp, but feminine (though she does have a cute little nose). Now, Anuro is covered in freckles and small scars from various training, and her hands are calloused.

Bending Art:
Earth Bending- Surprise! She's an earth ender who was taught a combination of fire bending and earth bending techniques. Her style is more fluid than typical earth bending, Anuro using the fire bending styles she's also been taught in combination. She also uses seismic sense, something still not entirely refined but developed during blindfolded, non-bending related training. And everyone would know this...if she didn't pose as a non-bender to the public.
Non-bending skills:
- Sword fighting: Anuro was trained with a few different weapons, but she took to the sword the most. Her father was very happy with this and decided to train her himself, so she fights with the traditional fire nation style. And with 11 years of training, she's pretty much an expert.
- Non-Bending hand to hand combat: She was taught both the fire nation style and the earth bending style, which she uses in her more... unorthodox fighting style. She likes to throw people, using her opponents' momentum against them as well as quick and powerful strikes. Both of the traditional styles she was taught work well with this.
- Diplomacy: Being raised by nobles will do that for you. She can tell you what the best route might be in any given situation that's dealing with two or more opposing parties. She's also not that bad at haggling because of this.
Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons:
Kaori: A Jian sword, thin, double-edged, and Anuro's main weapon. It's lightweight but strong, and she's had it for years. Kaori is her most prized possession and Anuro carries it everywhere. Even when in formal wear.
A dagger: Always hidden, it's for emergencies. Such as getting tired up, or using it for a surprise attack.
The Noya Family sigil: While not a slashy weapon, to a ton who knows anything about the fire nation, international merchants, or just general business will know what this signal means. Anuro doesn't like to flaunt her wealth, but she will use this bitch to her advantage. It's a fire ferret curled around a cluster of wisteria flowers.
Other Skills:
- Koto playing: Another skill she's been developing from childhood, she would play for parties or just for fun. And she's pretty good and well known in her hometown for her skills. She used to play for local shows.
- Tea making: This is more of a weird quirk of hers and a real skill. Anuro can make wonderful tea, and it's been that way since she was a kid with very little training. All someone had to do was teach her what the different kinds of tea there were. (Her favorite is oolong)

Personality:
Anuro is cold, distant, always at an arm's length to those around her. Or at least, that's what she comes off as. A product of being raised by nobles in the fire nation, she's a quiet individual who always seems to have a faraway look in her eyes. She seems hard to approach like she's up on a pedestal just by the way she carries herself. Shoulders back and head high, like she looks like she might be looking down on everyone else. But really...she's not. Anuro doesn't care, she's just been taught to act like that. Not to mention...she's shy. She never had any friends, and she didn't exactly associate with the other children at her school, so not only does she look mean or emotionless but she can't easily start conversations.

But a part of this is true. Anuro is apathetic, she struggles to empathize with others even though it's easy to do things to help. She doesn't look down on other people because despite how she was raised, the whole, better than everyone else, never stuck thanks to her tutors, but she will occasionally find herself disgusted by certain actions or ways of life. Though with her recent time on the road, she's gotten a little better.

But, when you get to know her and break through her walls, you'll find a sweet girl who just wants to find a place where she belongs. She loves sharing her interests and when she gets close to someone, she's not entirely sure how to deal with being friends (or more) but Anuro isn't the worse person to get to know. Her smile can light up the room when it's genuine, her laugh is inviting, and Anuro actually deeply cares a lot about the people close to her (her family being an exception) and normally ends up being the friend to rely on...or would be if she had friends.
Backstory:
Anuro was born a few miles out from Gaoling, to a farmer and a basket weaver. A small hit nestled back in the woods and sitting right in the middle of a small clearing, it was a simple life. Not that Anuro would remember. She was about 8 months old when Gaoling and the surrounding few homes were attacked by firebenders. Homes and farmland burned, lives were lost, and many children, including Anuro, lost their parents. Those children were collected and brought to a small home in town that was undamaged, and most of the children were claimed by family friends or relatives from out of town. Anuro wasn't so lucky, however. A local noble family decided to take her in for a bit, at least until some relatives were located or another family decided to step in and take responsibility. She was in their care for four months, turning a year old the day before a set of fire nation nobles rolled into town.

They were just passing through, taking a small break on their way back home from a cross country trip. Because of their status, the family that had taken Anuro in decided to house them, and of course, they started talking. After a while, it was decided! Anuro was going home with the fire benders. So enter the Noya family. Quickly renaming her, the nobles from Gaoling waved goodbye to the tiny baby who was destined for...a better life? How well could those firebenders have it anyway? Well, turns out she was adopted by Tomo and Alieh Noya, two of the richest merchants and international traders in the fire nation capital. They renamed her to...well, what she's currently named shortly after they arrived back in fire nation territory and making the adoption official.

For the next four years, Anuro got to enjoy being raised as noble. The fancy meals and warm beds. The silky clothes and status. She didn't know where she originally came from, what happened to her family, or why she looked just a little different than her parents but...honestly, it didn't matter, nothing ever raised her suspicion. Until one day when she was spending some time with her mother, her first koto lesson in fact. Anuro got bored so they took a break, and she decided to try and copy something her father did. And ended up throwing a rock about ten feet without even touching it. Immediately her mother stood up, and smacked her, before rushing inside without a word. Not long after, she was called inside to talk with her parents. The main point, they would get hee training, but on the condition, she never let anyone outside of the house knew she was a bender.

That's when the acting started. Her parents hired tutors to work with Anuro at their home, keeping it a secret from everyone not in their immediate family or house employees. She was sent to public school, however, after having that "pretend you can't bend" drilled into her head after hours and hours of training. The tutoring was shoved between the lessons she had with her mother, learning how to play the koto, a year later after she turned six, her father started combat training. Their family was known throughout the fire nation and some beyond, so whole they wanted her to not use her bending, they wanted her to be able to defend herself. For hours on end, she was tutored, worked with her mother, and trained with her father. But another big cha he was right around the corner.

Her mother was pregnant. When they learned that, her training only got...more intense on all fronts. It was odd, she didn't understand, it was like every little thing she did wrong set her parents off. She learned why after her younger twin brothers were born. Their attention, other than training her, suddenly shifted to them. She expected it at first, but the problems she started having at school, the training nearly killing her, it all went ignored. Anuro really didn't understand, but there was nothing she could do about it. So, over the next few years that cycle went on and she slowly realized why her parents treated her the way she did. The posing, the ignoring, the judgment of even the smallest mistakes. Slowly, over the years, she realized that they didn't see her as their own child.

But, there were some good memories as well. When she was 10, Anuro started playing the koto in public when her family held parties, and local festivals were always fun. When she turned 12, a boy challenged her to a duel and she won. And while Anuro has slowly been distancing herself from her parents and she hardly has a relationship with her brothers, things aren't bad. Shortly after she turned 16, and the day after one of her koto concerts, her father announced that she was going to be married off. It was horrifying in her eyes because remember that boy that challenged her to a duel? Well, the father of that boy decided that as revenge, he would ask her father for a very restrictive marriage arrangement. Anuro having none of that, decided to leave, using her koto talent as an excuse. She was asked to play for nobles in the earth kingdom, and it would be a good way to expand the family's influence, and her father bought it. So, for a while, the marriage is postponed while Anuro tries to come up with a permanent excuse while traveling the world.

Appearance: Hati is a taller than average woman that have well defined muscles and little body fat to speak of. Her short brown hair hold no ordainments or styles common with her people and is not super well cared for. She has a few faded scars here and there not really standing out against her tanned skin. Her eyes are a striking vibrant blue and often draw the most attention.
Bending Art: - She is a born blood bender cursed to be unable to bend water, she is also the avatar but has not really learned any elements.
Non-bending skills: Hati is skilled to a decent degree with many weapons and knows a little chi blocking , but she is no master of any of it feeling a jack of all trades approach is better.

Personality: Hati is something of a free spirit, and rather blunt to the point of being rude, she doesn't worry about the future and lives day to day . She is one who lives as if there is no past and no future only the now. She likes to blow any money she makes almost as soon as she does, often on strong drink and plenty of things to smoke. She is not completely reckless though and always has some money left over to restock anything she may have used during her last hunt. When not on a job Hati wanders around the nations not really having any destination in mind and is never in a rush taking her time to enjoy what relaxation she can get. Still below this Hati carries quiet a bit of resentment, rejecting her people, her culture, and the spirits themselves all because they cursed and abandoned her. Thus the fastest way to anger hati is to pry about her past. When it comes to her blood bending Hati hides it pretending to have no bending power, but should it come down to life and death she has resorted to it when alone.

Backstory:
Hati was born when the moon was full and hung low and red, a blood moon. This marked her as a child of blood cursed to only ever bend the blood of others instead of water and ice. This was seen as an inherently evil practice and those born with it evil from the moment of birth. Because of this Hati's family were forced to live at the edge of the village and no one wanted anything to do with them forcing them to hunt and be self sufficient. Instead of trying to shelter her from the truth Hati's parents blamed her for anything that went wrong, as did most of the village, she was the scapegoat of her people. To say her childhood was lonely, would be an understatement no child, no adult, not even her parents wanted her and she knew it taking in all that hate and reflecting it back at them causing mischief and trouble, a self fulling prophecy. The village of course could not abide evil in their mist forever and thus when Hati was only 12 she was cast out into the snow and ice to hopefully die.

Hati would not die, though, as through luck or miracle she survived, her years of having to hunt and build shelter giving her what she needed to survive. Hati would travel south into the earth kingdom and shed the last ties she had to her homeland cutting her hair and getting new clothing that had no blue or white in it. Still she feared using her bending, if her tribe had hated her for it there was no telling what others might do and she did not want to repeat her isolated childhood. She instead decided to develop other skills, if she would not bend, then the blade would be her strength. Still the blade was not the only weapon she learned as she learned many weapons, never mastering but becoming competent in their use. It was as she trained that she started to take on bounty hunting as a means for making money, as unlike many she didn't really fear dyeing, at least then she might go to the spirit world and pay those bastards back for cursing her. Hati wouldn't die instead she would become a skilled hunter of bender and none bender alike wandering from place to place, sometimes taking on other jobs mostly mercenary work. Even today she wanders no real goal in mind just living from day to day. She has recently discovered she is the avatar by accident by bending earth to save herself in a fight.

Non-bending skills: Khando has dual scimitars made of bone with a symbol of his old water tribe that he inherited from his father. Like Sokka though, he does have a boomerang but he barley uses it and mostly keeps it as a memory of his old childhood.
Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons: He prefers using his dual Scimitars but he also has a boomerang, a club, and his own dang fists of steel.

Personality: At first front, Khando is a cold and distant type person, straying away from groups and keeping to himself. He is afraid of getting attached to people so often he distances himself from others and sticks with his only companion, a Polar bear Dog named Boto. However, if you somehow manage to convince Khando to let you stick with him and Boto, he will become very protective like a big brother. If you get him to open up enough, he'll even crack a few jokes and be there for you no matter the situation.
Backstory: Khando grew up living what was considered a fortunate life. He was eldest of three sons from the Southern Water Tribe's (Imagine this is more bigger and is similar to the Northern water tribe in ATLA) Chief, and from the moment he could walk was being trained on how to be a leader and an amazing warrior. Despite his rather grueling training as a child, Khando was known to have a soft spot for his two younger brothers and in a way would mother them constantly, making sure they were healthy and could take care of themselves. At the young age of 21, Khando became a commander to his father's army, but all of that would come to a halting stop when tragedy arose and his 10 year old brother Saro went missing and was assumed dead. Khando simply just slipped away, left his family a note that he was passing on the chief role to his brother, the middle child, Kanok, and wandered in attempts to find himself. In his travels across the south pole, Khando nearly died due to the freezing temperatures had he not found a young Polarbear Dog, nearly freezing to death too. While his tribe had been fearful of the species in the past, rather than attack the creature Khando went and helped the sickly animal and they kept each other warm, forming a never ending bond.

Nihn is a tall woman with a lithe, but hourglass figure. Short, straight, and light brown hair paired with narrow gray eyes and full lips, she's a pretty attractive woman. She's also toned, and the outfit she wears doesn't keep that hidden, so she's very obviously not someone to mess with.

Bending Art:
Air Bending- An air bending master to be exact, she earned her arrows at 15, one of the youngest of her group. She was trained with traditional air bending but has since put her own little spin on a few moves after experiencing some other cultures. She is also capable of flight for short bursts without her glider, a technique she has no real idea how to master, but also has no real intention to master.
Non-bending skills:
- Staff Training: While it is the air monk way to avoid violence and confrontation, they are trained on how to deal with it when it becomes unavoidable. Nihn can use her staff as a blunt weapon that redirects and gets the opponent off their feet quickly.
- Escapism: She is quick and nimble, so the art of casual escape was easy to learn. It's actually a common trait in many air benders who use their lithe form and flexibility to their advantage. And because of this little trait of her's Nihn learned...
- Lockpicking: For none nefarious deeds of course, during her time on the road she makes money by doing odd jobs here and there. Sometimes she would be asked for help recovering a child from a locked house and learned that this is far more beneficial than blowing the door down.
Preferred Weapon/ list of weapons:
- Glider: Useful as a tool of misdirection or turning momentum rather than a true weapon, Nihn always carries it with her since she received it.
- Her Bending: If a fight is closing in, Nihn's bending is the best choice she has
- Tisho: Her flying lemur and more useful than he appears, Tisho helps out with distractions, collecting items, and more often than not, dropping things on top of people.
Other Skills:
- Caligraphy: The fine air of ink, brush, and parchment, it's pretty much a useless skill, but it sure is pretty. And if absolutely needed, she can probably forge something.
- Baking/Cooking: She's a vegetarian, so most of the dishes she knows how to cook well revolves around that. She also knows how to make various pastries, including the famous air nomad fruit tarts.

Personality:
Nihn is first and foremost, a bright and bubbly individual who is also too way to get along with. Almost too easy. Like suspiciously easy, Nihn can make friends anywhere. She's outgoing and kind, and doesn't judge anyone based on their walk of life or personal preferences. So long as they aren't hurting anyone. She's very easy going and rather laid back as well, but not a nice stepping in when needed. It's more of the live and let live philosophy that Air Nomads seem to embrace. Violence is avoided whenever necessary, but Nihn isn't above using it when other Air Nomads may see it as unnecessary. Because you see, Nihn like everyone else, has a bit of a wild side.

Living with the monks just taught her how to control it. She is still a very caring and kind individual when it's rearing it's head, but she's more prone to reckless actions and bad choices. And most of the time, it's in the service of others. Nihn is the type of person to risk her own well being for the well being of others, no matter who they are. In her eyes, everyone is the same no matter what their background is. And if you are in need, she has the power to help. Children and other women tend to stir stronger reactions from her than most, but at the same time, being a big burly man doesn't mean she won't step in to help. It's in these moments you'll most likely see her anger.

It's easier to lose the control she has over her emotions, you will discover she is a fan of colorful language. She doesn't hold back and more often than not, it's hard for her to calm down. Which is why Nihn actually holds the traditions of her people very close.

NOTES "white/bai", or yahui, has black hair and typically wears light clothes. contrarily, "black/hei", or xue, has white hair and typically wears dark clothes. due to sharing the same body, they take on very similar characteristics related to their body composition.

PERSONALITY
yahui's nature could be described as passive and easygoing at first glance; and that first impression wouldn't be entirely wrong. vocal altercations seem to not cross his path for one reason or another―perhaps the fact that he doesn't take much offense?―and he doesn't quite appear to be the type to engage in any physical combat (though in assuming such a fact, one would be somewhat incorrect). it's as if things don't get under his skin (at least, not enough for it to be serious), however it's worth noting that he has extreme control over his own emotions and how they project themselves; thus, in actuality, it is very difficult to read him well, if at all. on the other side of this, he is incredibly perceptive of other people and the atmosphere around him. not to mention, he likes... knowing things, perhaps even things that he shouldn't. not out of malicious intent, but to him, it's kind of hard to explain...

while not inherently outgoing, he isn't exactly introverted either―he's more than welcoming towards an exchange of words with friends or strangers alike, yet also is able to find solace in solitude. yahui is gentle, kind, and cheery towards all until given a reason to act otherwise, which leads me back to that point about his passivity. really, it'd be more accurate to call it 'sophisticated violence' or 'graceful violence', as his way of thinking doesn't truly align with that of a pacifist's. in fact, it may be a little far from the idea, and upon spending more time with him this begins to get a bit more obvious (particularly because he isn't trying to hide it). alas, with this in mind, he is still a good-hearted person, even if his methods of doing things (or possibly some of what he says) may be questionable at times.

turning over to xue, his core personality is notably different from his counterpart's. as a person, he's much more irritable, so while he can (and likely will) become angry, it's not the explosive kind. it's more so the kind of anger where the air around you starts to grow thick and harder to breathe in, and the temperature begins to run cold. rather than erratic yelling and reckless movements, you're met with chilling silence and an all the more collected xue. so, yes, he has a bad temper, but he is also that much calmer. because of his difficult disposition, it is hard for him to form lasting connections with other people, especially since as a whole, he's a grumpy individual who seems to be more than content with staying alone. then again, it also probably doesn't help that he's... actually kinda shy. oh well.

xue could be considered to be the more responsible of the two, making it a point that he gets whatever he needs to get done, done, quickly and effectively. he's also much more serious, and this even reaches the point where things can and will be taken literally―and unfortunately for him, it's put him in a number of embarrassing situations (that aren't helped by yahui poking fun at it). perhaps this may come as a surprise to some, however his moral code is a lot more present than whatever is going on with yahui; but the big thing that the two do have in common, in the end, is their tendency to hold their cards close. rather than letting the world see exactly who they are and what they know, they meticulously pick and choose which parts of them they want to have worn on their sleeves.

BIOGRAPHY
ai yahui and ouyang xue were, at one point, two separate beings who were fairly close all throughout their childhood. while not brothers by blood, they were raised as such, and their day to day lives were spent nearly conjoined by the hip alongside a number of the other children they grew up with. they traveled as a group, no brother left behind, and wherever one went, the rest followed. things played out this way throughout the duration of their time spent at the eastern air temple; all learning the art of air bending and the values of peace and spirituality. eventually, they would all be old enough to take on nomadic lifestyles, yet even then they still spent a lot of time together.

... then, yahui woke up.

with none of the others to be found, he looked around; he wasn't anywhere he recognized. he knew something had to have happened, yes, but trying to think about it drew no results. for the first time in what felt like his entire life, his mind was loud and disoriented―an occurrence that, since birth, he'd learnt to avoid. a multitude of questions swirled in his head, and some of them were answered soon enough, but when those questions were answered, it only opened the door to so many more. as it'd turn out, he wasn't alone at all, and that made itself clear when he heard the sound of xue's voice. several weeks of pure confusion later, they were finally able to settle on the idea that, perhaps, due to a chain of events they're currently unaware of, yahui's body was now housing both xue's and his own souls.

the years following were spent trying to learn more about their situation in hopes of answering the endless number of questions that came from that day. so far, they figured out that they are able to switch who's soul has primary influence over the physical body, and that for some weird reason, they're even more in tune with their spirituality than they were before (maybe this is why they're so in touch with the energy and atmosphere..?)... but why couldn't they look back? why was it that every time they tried to recall what led up to the change, they're met with a haze? and most importantly, is there a way to revert this? if there is... then they'd find it.

OTHER SKILLS hand to hand combat; both yahui and xue are proficient in this. while they don't excel in pure strength, their steps are light with their movements being smooth and swift. it's also worth noting that they're very flexible.

atmospheric and emotional manipulation; both are capable of this in regard to themselves, however only yahui is skilled in manipulating other people. yahui is selective about when he does this, as he knows it isn't too much of a good thing, but he knows its a skill he has and he'll use it if he feels he truly needs to.

yahui is musically inclined and finds joy in practicing various instruments, singing, and dancing. he hasn't been able to dedicate significant time to make these hobbies a passion, but the interest is still there.

xue is very fond of plants. he tends to take care of them just for the sake of taking care of them, and has a particular interest in mushrooms. he also knows a lot about flower language, not that he cares to admit it, but... anyway, mushrooms are just cooler.

INVENTORY instead of a glider, they have an umbrella. it's not customary to use one or anything, but that's just what they've learned with. not only are they able to use it to stay airborne (it's not as fast as a glider, but for some reason they can't use those properly), but it can also be used as a weapon, and lastly, for rain or sun.

OTHER SKILLS | other than being able to control fire, alastor can be considered a gymnast of sorts. he’s got a great amount of balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, and endurance. it was either this or cooking, which he truly has no patience for.

he’s also knowledgeable with astrology. something about being familiar with constellations intrigues the young boy; from the name to the history behind it, you can bet that he’ll be able to glance at it and tell you without any sort of hesitation.

PERSONALITY | alastor is your typical charismatic teenage guy that seems to not have one bad bone in his body; some may say that it’s an act to get past the intimidating appearance, but it’s quite the opposite— he has no real reason to uphold that image. it’s rather bizarre and perhaps a little ill-considered to assume that he’s overbearing or condescending from just one glance. If anything, he would rather you approach and interact with him to get a better understanding of his character. there's honestly more than meets the eye for this guy and yet, in spite of everything; this small negative aspect of his appearance doesn’t really bother him as much as you'd think.

oddly enough, he’s insanely down to earth and well rounded enough to get by without any sort of issues. alastor is often seen as a little too dramatic or not being able to take things seriously (which depends entirely on the situation). he’s the kind of person that doesn’t stop his whole world when things hit the fan-- he’s just a simple guy trying to remain optimistic.

BIOGRAPHY | alastor was born into a commoner family in a cozy little ridge within the fire nation. it was expected of them, as well as the other citizens, to contribute towards the militia that governs their town. each household had their own allocated duty that provided just enough to make ends meet. even if there were no wars looming over their shoulders for things to be set this way-- nothing was too burdensome as they all seemed to enjoy this peaceful way of living.

alastors dad is a blacksmith that owns his shop at the square to assist in repairing or creating objects made out of iron or steel. his work hours or work load aren't crazy as alastor has been there almost every other day to help him out. you would naturally anticipate them coming home with trudging steps, but the minute they walk in, his mother (who is a housewife) always has their meals ready which is an instant mood changer. dinner for them is never dull as conversations of their day and what is planned for the following is interesting enough.

there was only one instance that changed their peaceful banters briefly. a few years ago, alastor was at the top of a ledge (in an area away from their town) with a couple of friends; that mind you, had nothing to do with what transpired. they were attempting to see how long one can stay balanced on the edge on one foot. below them, was a steep fall that didn’t scare them as much as it should’ve.

it took just a simple misstep on the ledge for the young boy to trip and plummet down-- his mind racing as he quickly, and dumbly may i add, used his fire abilities to soften his fall. this turned out to be a massive mistake. the sheer amount of fire he used caused him to get those 4th degree burns and a visit to the hospital where his parents scolded him once he awoke with skin grafts all over his body.

the memory of the accident has long been written off as something so minor in alastor’s mind. he now pokes fun at it whenever someone asks him about the marks on his body. the build of it all is extremely amusing to him until the person ends up getting so worked up over nothing. all he wants to do now is move forward and focus on all of this talk about this mysterious dead queen.
