Overview

Basics;
Criminal x Cop

Plot; To be decided.

Starting Point; In conference room A3 in one of the larger police stations located in the northern part of the city.

It was earlier in the morning around 6:30 am and Sarah had just gotten herself into the conference room, right on time, like she always liked to be. She took a sip of the hot cup of coffee that warmed her hands and set herself down in a chair. Sarah was ready for the day, her uniform was on and freshly cleaned as of the previous night and her hair was brushed and pulled back into a tight pony tail that trailed down the middle of her back.

Other officers piled in the room as 7 o'clock started to draw closer as she waited patiently for the officer in charge of the investigation found her seat as well. Of course, as everyone else piled in, Sarah nodded or voiced her hellos and good mornings to them while finishing off her coffee and tossing the empty cold cup into the garbage can.

This was their third month on the investigation now. Little to no information had come in for weeks after the first initial interaction when the wanted criminal of the topic was spotted outside a gas station on the north side of town, actually not that far from the police station itself. He started off as a petty offender, stealing small items ranging anywhere from ten to a hundred dollars in value but it soon became aware to them that a larger plot was at hand when he started to be spotted around the clubs of downtown where a known gang operated. Today was a new day though, and Sarah was sure progress would finally come about as she sat in her chair patiently for the meeting to start.

The doors to the conference room swung open thirty minutes later, Bethany darting inwards -- halfway into the beginning explanation that the chief had dived into, the slow progress of the ongoing investigation with their wanted criminal whom had come increasingly noted for a bigger plot, one that has been assumed to be based around an infamous gang that was knowingly operating around the area, various clubs and businesses being jointed to the members. Bethany wasn't fond of early mornings, and they weren't fond of her. Clearly, as her set alarm clock didn't exactly go off as timely planned. She shouldered the glances from coworkers that were casted at her late appearance -- lack of uniform, shirt untucked, pants creased, badge clipped against the belt looping around her waist.

The woman clinched a styrofoam cup of freshly brewed coffee against her hands, one she had been carrying around since a quick hop in to a Starbucks drive-thru, and slipped into the nearest seat that was open, settingly crossing her leg over her knee. Once she was perched, sitting in the few conference chairs that remained abandoned, the chief continued,

"As I was saying before Officer Beth's gratefully arrived presence... our investigation into the case has been a slow process, one that not many of us has expected considering the wanted status of the man. But our long haul has awaitedly been delivered with a breakthrough about our criminal as of just of last night, thanks to the many colleagues that pulled an all nighter to piece together the written work and evidence."

The interruption was almost needed when the only missing officer came in late, unfortunately as usual, and cut off the high tension that was almost stifling in the room. Of course, no one was super pleased that she had cut off the meeting right when it was getting good and rich with positive information. Sometimes Sarah looked around the room at how everyone else reacts to her coworker coming in late and wondered if it was sometimes best for Bethany to not come in at all. Sarah would never mind filling her in, they were paired quite often as partners, so it came with the title to be helpful to Beth.

When the chief started off with his small appraise, Sarah smiled a little brighter, she wasn't one of the all night officers but before she went home Sarah was part of the small team that started off the discoveries. She hoped that her name would be called to explain the beginning of the evidence that they found.

"Among us, Officer Sarah O'Rylee lended a hand to expand upon our investigation. Enough so to give our men and women a head start at the late night that was pulled yesterday evening." The chief assessed with appreciation to his peers and friends within the station. Enough so that Bethany had to refrain from rolling her eyes too many times, fingernails applying heavily into the styrofoam cup with a tightening grasp. As his speech dwindled down, documents being shifted against his hand, the older man prepared to announce the enlightening news. "We have attained the living location of the wanted criminal and, as of this morning, will be sending in a group of officers to restrain him."

A hand jutted up into the air, said appendage belonging to Bethany -- looking attentive to the situation that was fixated. "And whom are the officers that will be joining in on the confrontation?" She questioned pointedly, the dark haired woman settling more comfortingly into the confrence chair.

"That will be announced to the said officers that have been chosen -- thank you, Beth. Any other questions?"

"Sir," Sarah started off and raised her hand as well to be recognized and have a turn to speak, "When is the team leaving? From the evidence I pieced together the suspect has been preparing to leave the site for a week or so now... There's no telling how long he will stick around." She mentioned and shuffled the papers in front of her into a neat pile.

Sarah wasn't wrong, in fact she was spot on. At the moment, the man in question, Damien, was just getting the last of his things. His apartment was empty and only used for meetings now in the gang and he had a single backpack on. It was a sleek black backpack with chest straps to keep in on. His transportation of choice right now was a motorcycle, a fast one at that. It was dark blue and black in color and not easily recognizable with all the other motorcycles on the streets that roam about daily.

He was only a few hours away from leaving this apartment permanently, after this, Damien wouldn't be seen on this side of town for a little while.

The chief designated his addressing gaze upon Sarah as she too piped into the matter, questioning the time that surrounded around the officers that would be sent to the site of the wanted man. "As soon as this meeting is wrapped up, which it is unless there's other questions to be discussed, then the team will be dispatched. Anything else?" Solem shakes of heads rippled throughout the confrence room, officers prepared to, hopefully, wrangle in the criminal they had been hunting down for the past few weeks; a breath of relief for those that had their doubts on the investigation.

"Great," he finalized and gathered up the documents that had been spread out before him during the meeting. "Most of you are dismissed, thank you." The room flooded with activity as varying detectives, inspectors, and officers exited through the doors to return to their own work, one that either involved paperwork or outside, scoping for a potential witness in a case. "Officer Sarah, Beth. Stay. You too Andrew, Bellmont, and O'Hare." Bethany had quickly stridden to the double transparent glass doors when her name was called, alerting the woman in mid-step. "Surprising," she uttered under her breath.

She released the empty styrofoam cup into a nearby trash can before making her way back to the conference table, still littered with various papers and files from previous meetings.

At the time that everyone else was dismissed, Sarah just knew her name was to be called. Not saying that she was the best at her job but Sarah was by far one of the top preforming field officers whether it was in the office, on patrol, or on a raid like this one. She smiled a little to herself, being picked boosted her ego quite a bit and she was determined to do well. If they caught him and Sarah was one of the main officers responsible she would be even closer to getting a promotion and a transfer to a different station.

She waited patiently for the other officers to return to their seats and let the chief start talking again on what the game plan was. Of course, it would probably be a standard mission. Officers in the front and officers in the back to cover all entrances and exits so the suspect couldn't get away. Where she stood on the line of who was going in first and who her partner would be, Sarah did not know.

As soon as the officers was settled, Bethany perched back in her seat and fingers clinking in a rhythmic pattern, the chief dove into the assigned roles the officers would be taking on for today's mission -- one that many have been yearning for, a case to be completed and recorded. "Beth and O'Hare, you have the front of the building. Sarah, Andrew, and Belmont you will be stationed in the back. Standard procedure, alright?" Despite the seriousness that coated his wizened face there was still concern mixed within his countenance, concern for the officers he was sending out there today. "The man could be well armed, considering his assumed ties with the gang downtown. Be on your guard, all of you. Last thing I want is one of my officers to be gunned down. You are all dismissed, Belmont is aware of the location address and will give it to you. Good luck."

The chief exited the confrence room moments afterwards, Bethany grasping the arms of the chair. "Well... I suppose we get ready then." She risen up into a proper stance and proceedly stepped to the double glass doors to vacate the premise.

Sarah nodded at Beth's words in agreement, they needed to prepare for any situation possible. Sarah gathered the two officers that were to be stationed with her and went over a small game plan. "We're not to go in and engage until Bethany starts her move in the front, understand?"

"Yeah, sure, but why aren't we the ones going in the front?" Belmont added, "I just don't get why Bethany gets to do the front raid, or why she's even on the raid team. She barely shows up on time and possibly has the worst attitude in the station..."

"It wasn't up to us, okay?" Sarah replied and sighed a little. She took out her pony tail and smoothed out her hair a bit then re-did her hair in the same pony tail but tighter so her hair stayed out of the way. She waited a half hour and was ready in fifteen but her other officers weren't. Sarah supposed that they were just nervous to be on such a big mission that they absolutely could not fail at. Sarah found Bethany and stood around for a moment without being acknowledged so she cleared her throat and asked, "Officer Tate...? Are you prepared to leave?"

When Sarah found Beth it was at her desk, hunched over the wooden surface and examining the contents of an email from her ex. Presumedly the divorce papers had been settled, both now newly single with nothing more to discuss over their once relationship. Some remark about how he wished her a good life, one with someone that could understand her more than him. Blue hues rolled, too angrily enthralled by the jab. Though her thoughts were easily disrupted as a cough erupted from the blonde that had approached her, adjacent to her. "Yes. Sorry O'Rylee," she ushered out as an apology and quickly hovered over the exit tab with the mouse, clicking the page out.

As she leaned back, returning to a proper standing stance, Bethany tucked her gun into the holster belt that had been secured around her waist, fully loaded -- a precation to the situation they'd be heading into with the wanted man. She briefly glimpsed a look at the woman, "How did Belemont and Andrew react to their assigned roles?" There seemed to be some mirth that swirled in her tone, voicing amusement -- a snarky entitlement as she knew neither man found any pleasant aspect in the personality she possessed. She smoothed her hair back into a proper bun, twisting the hair tie around her loose ebony locks to keep them secured in place.

Sarah always tried her best to stay out of other peoples business but she couldn't help but glance at the computer screen while it was open. Something with..a man? It didn't look incredibly good from the way Bethany was frowning at the screen as she read the email but Sarah didn't ask. Officer Tate was one of those people who really didn't talk about their personal life even outside of work.

"They hated it of course." She said simply and gave Bethany a small shrug. "One would think, that they would be grateful that they even were picked for this task force but no. Instead they'd rather complain about how they didn't get the front door." Sarah paused to shake her head and roll her eyes at the thought of them in distaste, "I'm just ready to get this guy..but, you're the lead officer here. We move at your orders." She mentioned hoping that would motivate Bethany to get a move on.

"Of course they complained. They always complain." Beth tutted as she adjusted her badge, gleaming with grim authority. She assessed Sarah with a gaze, quickly enough to catch the chagrin roll of her eyes. The action managing to loosen a chortling chuckle from the ebony haired woman, a faint wisp of a grin on her mouth. Not that many women occupied such a position within a grueling job as a police officer. It was mostly men, a harsh fact that even she acknowledged. They, as women, had to claw their way up to a higher enough position, to gain the equal respect. "I hope you can keep those two in order, O'Rylee. Do so that way we don't screw up anything under the Chief's orders. And trust me, if any of those two idiots happen to make a mistake, I will surely back you up if you get pinned for it."

Bethany pivoted upon her worn and torn combat boots, picking out the well build Irish officer among the various coworkers that cluttered about in a hurry. "O'Hare you're with me. C'mon," she instructed firmly, feet striding as she proceed to exit the main office of the police station, heading outside to where cars were stationed for them to take for their standardized raid mission.
