Mireya was so focused on what was going on the open training room. As soon as the explosion when off, she took that moment to analyze the smoke, trying to see what it consisted off. Even when the smoke cleared she still kept her eyes on the three that were making a sparing agreement. It was clear that the two against the Xero would only end badly, but it would bring her data for her to use in order to understand her fellow Guardians.

She never looked away from the three when Hikari joined the picture, even after someone stood beside her and clearly asked for a spar. Finally blinking, her eyes went back to her normal green eyes and turned over to the tall guy. She turned her attention on the four as she answered him, "From what you just said, it would seem as if you know Vixa personally... But as much fun fighting might be, I am not one to jump in unless I have done reckon."

Mireya sighed and took out one of her pistols out from their holsters under her leather jacket. Opening the chamber, and loading them with salt bullets, not wanting to hurt anyone with deadly bullets. "If you want a spar, all you had to do was clearly state it," she told him as she snapped the chamber back into place. With out warning she swiped his feet from under him and used the wall she was leaning on to pushed off it. The last thing she wanted was to be cornered. Mireya looked over her shoulder, sending the guy a quick smirk.

"The names Mireya by the way," she called out as she took her place in the opening. She began to play with the revolver as sharpened it on her trigger finger. "Let's see what you got," Mireya laughed and turned on one of her contacts as she began to calculate Dren's outside data. Nothing was out of the ordinary as she initiated the record function.

Ruslan
The first thought that went through his mind after getting shot was: "Do all girls introduce themselves by attacking people out of nowhere?" The second and more realistic one was focused on not tripping over his own feet. The impact and suddenness of the shot made him stumble a few steps to the side, an acute pain building up in his head. The round had hit him directly in the side of his skull, the bear already being able to feel the welt growing from it. Placing a hand over the bruising area, he made sure that there was no blood trickling from the wound, and to his surprise, there wasn't. Sometimes even he was surprised by his own resilience to outside sources. The only thing that was really ruining the moment was a massive headache the recoil caused him.

He looked back over to where the voice had called out to him. The owner was a much smaller girl with a dazzling white hairstyle. "Oh, um," he began to answer, fumbling over his words as his mind exerted itself to think past the growing agony. "It didn't feel good," he decided on, not exactly sure as to how he should define his current pain meter. Maybe he should use a scale? Ah, but which number was the lowest, one or ten? This beckoned the other question, did the girl even truly care about the well-being of the others? Well, if she took the time to consider who was most likely able to handle an attack from a sniper rifle shot, then maybe she wasn't completely lost. "Yeah, uh, it hurt."

His unfazed demeanor said otherwise, but that was just Ruslan. He was certain anyone else would've had a much worse time. That small moment of pride that he created for himself was, of course, immediately shot down by Vixa's words. Rather than having any sort of compassion, she went ahead and belittled his key role as a Guardian: his ability to take punishment. Naturally, along with everything else Vixa did, she quickly went straight off to do something else, and in this case, it was attempting the murder of Xero. Maybe not murder, but the glint in her eyes said that a 'friendly' spar was the last thing on her mind. Taking a moment to once again rub the wound at the side of his head, he looked back over to Hikari, who was most likely unsatisfied by his earlier statement.

That's when the lumbering giant made his way towards her, not thrilled with the idea of having to risk taking more shots from her. Then again, it was much more important for him to take off the attention from Vixa. He'd let her handle Xero. All he needed to do was get close and personal with Hikari. Once he was able to do that, then he could truly work his magic, sort of. Holding up his metallic arms as a form of defense, the bear was now prepared for the onslaught of attacks. This time he wasn't going to be nearly as vulnerable as before, his large stature and oddly tough frame assisting him in exactly that. Who knew? Maybe he'd be able to finally figure out what number to tell this new girl once all of this fighting was over.

Hikari giggled, "I'll take that confusion as a good sign then." Taking hold of her two swords, she held them at the ready while standing in a readied position. Although she was fairly confident that she'd win this duel between fighters, she had to keep in mind that there were two foes, not just the one. On top of that she had to trust Xero to be able to cover her back, meaning she'd have to do the same for him. Granted it was a friendly match, meant for them to know each other better, mostly their fighting styles. If that was the case, then she'd show her opponent exactly what she was capable of, even with weapons she's only touched once.

As he approached, she noticed how his arms were armored, no, those arms were mechanical, cybernetic? That probably meant his hand to hand combat would be better than hers. She'd have to rely on avoiding his attacks if anything. "One thing's for sure, you definitely fit the image of a tank. Let's see if this assassin can cut you down a few armor plates?"

As Nyr watched the fight beginning, he noticed out of the corner of his visor, another fight about to play out. "Genesis. Monitor those two fights, record them and analyze them for later data usage. While you're at it, activate speed target simulation alpha on my optical bio-enhancement." Yes Kuro. Running simulation Speed Target: Alpha. Simulation start. At the sound of those words, Nyr could see targets moving around him, spinning in opposite directions while orbiting him. Without hesitation he began to punch and kick at the targets randomly and swiftly, attempting to do so in very quick succession. After about six seconds all the targets glowed red, he'd hit them all. "Time." 6.42 seconds. Your record is 4.13 seconds. "Shame... I've gotten slow... Run the simulation again, and continue to run the simulation until I achieve five seconds or less or say otherwise." Understood Kuro. Once again the targets appeared. Simulation start.

This went on for a solid three minutes before Genesis spoke. Your time was 4.11 seconds. Your record is 4.11 seconds. Congratulations, you've achieved a new record. "Thank you Genesis. Continue to monitor the fights as I asked, I'd like you to also gather information on Grim with any background space you have available." Understood. Something about Grim always struck Nyr as strange. One such thing was how he had attained such power without the aid of an AI, let alone more than that katana he carries around religiously. Surely there was something he was hiding, and Nyr made it his concern to find out what it was the legendary Grim had to hide.
Shame... I've gotten slow...

Ruslan
Something about the confidence in Hikari's stance unsettled Ruslan to his core. From what he could tell, none of them knew all too well about what their new weapons could do, nor the possibilities dwelling within them. Yet, here this white-haired Furraine was brandishing her new assets like an extension of her own body, more comfortable with them than Ruslan was with his own mother. Maybe. Either way, that alone was setting off a big red flag in his mind, alarms blaring and telling him to just drop his guard, turn around, and simply walk away. Sadly, he wasn't allowed to do that.

Although it was hard for her to express it in words, Vixa did put a substantial amount of trust in him by relying on his aptitude to fend off Hikari long enough until Xero and she could finish their dispute. As a team, he held just as much importance in this battle as she did. If it was a matter of how long he could deal with this woman before Vixa could arrive to overwhelm her (or vice-versa), then that was something the hulking beast could handle. It was exactly as Hikari said, he was a spitting image of a tank, and she was soon to realize that he had the same capabilities of one, too. Without further delay, he advanced on her, finally closing the gap between the dainty figure and himself.

Now, just because Ruslan was large didn't mean he wasn't capable of moving. If you added the massiveness of his armor, then maybe it would be another story, but by fighting in his (somewhat) vulnerable state, he was much faster than his typical armor set would allow him. As such, his movements were much more impactful, his steps lighter, and his combat prowess faster. He was far from being as speedy as any of the assassin-esque classes he had met so far, but that didn't mean Ruslan couldn't hold his own when face-to-face with one of them. As a brawler, he knew how to throw a solid punch. The biggest dilemma was connecting it. Considering the speed at which Hikari was able to stash away her weapon to draw out her twinned blades, he could only imagine what kind of acrobatics she had in store for him.

Hopefully, that would only stay as an image and not come to fruition. Drawing his fist back in a highly telegraphed attack, he would go on the first strike, not expecting the attack to nail her. This was more of a size-up than anything else. He wanted to know her reflexes. What kind of a person he was dealing with. What her first move would reveal about her fighting technique. The bear's instincts kicked in, an animalistic presence overtaking his thoughts. He was still the lazy bear he always was, but when in a fight, he wasn't afraid to unsheathe his own claws. Like they say, "No point in holding back your punches."

Vixa returned his smile with an uncanny one. The only boring battles are the ones that don't result in bloodshed! But she would keep that comment to herself. "Don't you? Like to have fun." She continued to jab at him, his blocks matching her speed. Let's have a little more fun. She leaped back further, drawing a few shuriken and throwing one at each step he made. Each blade bursting into flames or static electricity. An eerie laugh escaped her lips. "Let's dance!" This continued for a bit longer until she was down to only six shuriken left.

Dropping on all fours, she lowered her front half closer to the ground, a runner's stance. Only, she wouldn't be running. With her biotic enhancement kicking in she sprung forward at a great speed, as if someone had shot a laser beam. Coming straight at his swords that he used for blocking all her previous attacks, she took hold of the blades with her claws, using them to fling herself up and over the man, flipping onto his back. Her hands around his neck and her legs wrapped around his torso, she freed one of her hands to graze the back of his neck with two claws. Not hard enough to puncture any skin. He was safe from any poison. "Strike one." She unraveled herself from him and distanced herself once more. "Three strikes and you're out." She was toying with him. No, Vixa wouldn't have a short and simple battle. She knew this man could do better than this.

She didn't have to focus her attention on Ruslan to know he was keeping Hikari busy. But just how long could he do so without Hikari outsmarting him? And coming to Xero's aid? It was a risk worth taking. After all, Vixa was in this for the chase, not the catch.

At the act of toying with him, Xero smiled as she called a strike. It was an amusing counter and Xero would remember that she liked to toy with her prey. Xero pulled up a piece of his armor that covered his neck. He then began to circle as she backed off, keeping one blade low and another in front of his chest. "Was that your tail that grazed the back of my neck? It was all soft and careful, I didn't think your claws were considered 'soft' and 'careful'." He said, smirking.

Xero was quick in his own way as the blue haired human cat decided to take a stance and sprint towards Vixa, swords in a defensive position. A few feet from her, he planted his swords in the ground to propel him to the air, keeping one sword low to attempt to hit her as he flew over her and landed behind. Another rush but this time, he jumped and swung his left hand down towards Vixa and almost immediately bringing the right to sideswipe her, trying to counter a dodge.

Xero was smart. He really was, but if he isn't taking a moment seriously, he doesn't really show it. He knows he isn't in any actual danger and that Vixa can't seriously hurt him, so he's taking this fight a bit casual. He does constantly keep a watchful eye on Hikari to make sure she doesn't need help as Xero continues his bursts of attacks, almost as quick as Vixa. His actions would eventually make an 'X' in shape as he keeps jumping to either side of her at a nice speed. Something about his reflexes was not natural and they may even be faster then he's letting on. Xero made sure not to back off of his attacks, trying to tire out the cat. Either that or get a few good hits in first, then back off.

Vixa watched as Xero circled around, scoffing at his comment about her tail. But she wouldn't be entertaining him with a retort this time. He came rushing at her, propelling himself in the air, one of his swords in line to hit her. Bending back matrix style (yes, it was a must) , she missed the blade by a few inches. But that was all she needed. The attack didn't stop there, and the man continued to rush in, his blades swinging. His speed is remarkable. There was no time to leap out of the way, only to hold off his blades with her claws using her strength. Strength she didn't have much of. The armor along the front of her boots became her main deflection from his blades. A mental praise for her flexibility.

His attacks began to resemble an "X" , and though Vixa wasn't one to pay attention to little details, this was one that became obvious. His endurance was ample, and for once Vixa found herself fighting with someone who didn't tire easily. It was exciting. But this back and forth couldn't go on. She had to break the cycle.
"If you use the same moves in bed ass you do on the battlefield your partner is sure to get bored!" She teased. On his next hit, she allowed him to knock her back with the edge of his sword. His strength sending her small frame clear across the room. A little pain would be worth it. She flipped before slamming into the wall; instead using it to rickashay off with the help of her enhanced legs. On the way back she withdrew two flame shuriken and hit them against one another, setting off their properties so she rolled in like a flaming pinwheel. She collided with Xero's blades, sending embers bursting about. Having a flame resistant cloak was useful in situations like this.

Using the embers as a distraction, she began deliberately attacking not Xero, but his swords. He'll stop protecting himself if hes no longer the target. Even if that was the case, his neck was no longer going to be an easy feat to puncture. But she wasn't after his body at this point. Kicking at his swords she slowed her breathing to increase her agility and precision. Now. The next time she kicked at one of his swords she aimed lower, to quickly land a scratch along his knuckle. Jumping back, she mused, "Strike 3! I forgot to tell you, I hate the number 2." Now all she had to do was wait him out for several minutes.

Her remark made Xero lift a brow, not everyday he's told that. But Xero continued, pretending not to hear what she had said. Eventually, it paid off as his swords collided with more then just her claws for once. Knowing it must have hit her, considering she was just thrown away from his circle, he stopped and began to approach her, almost ready for anything. "Strike one." He said with a sort of laugh behind his voice. This cat was interesting, but Xero wasn't letting it get into his head. A fight is a fight, even if it's just casual.

But that didn't last long, as she was shooting towards him yet again. Thinking she would pull a similar move as the first, Xero planted his swords in front of him and was ready to lift them up, throwing her away from him. Instead, she collided with his swords just before he began to raise them. Xero attempted to stumble back to create some distance as this chaos happened on his swords but as he did so, he felt the claw go over top his hand. It burnt as he jumped away, shaking his hand.

"You aren't playing by your own rules, Commander. Two comes before three. Like it . . or, uh. . . Not." He said, still laughing a bit. The cut was still burning a bit, and Xero realized in that moment. . . He fucked up. As soon as it hit his head, he looked up at Vixa, who now stood with about 4 or 5 of herself, he couldn't tell. Not being able to see straight, Xero placed his swords in the ground and did a quick salute, almost falling on his ass as he stumbled around. "Cheap. . ." He simply said before he fell backwards into unconsciousness.

Hikari Yumi
Hikari Yumi.jpg
As Hikari watched Ruslan prepare himself, and eventually lumber towards her, she watched out of the corner of her eye the fight between her ally and second foe. It seemed they were doing well, but she feared that Xero was simply too slow, just by a fraction, compared to the girl. Looking back to Ruslan, he made it obvious what he was trying to do with his first attack. She waited patiently for the fist to come closer, and before it reached her, darted to his side, slamming the blunt side of her heavier sword into his ribs. Not only was the movement quick, but because of the weight of the sword, it was sure to hit hard as well. Granted she wouldn't do any real harm by using the non-blade sides of her swords, she would still strike with as much power and accuracy as she would any other situation.

After her initial slam, she got a sense for how tough he was, and looked for weak points. A head shot from only a few feet with a high caliber rifle was more than enough to daze him a bit, but sword strikes are much more precise than a gunshot. Sure his head was still a weak point, but it wasn't practical to strike at his head, it left too much space for him to counter, and she had to be able to manipulate her swords swiftly with a second opponent soon to come.

Speaking of which, she hadn't let the other furraine girl leave her sight. She was quick, and overall a bigger threat in terms of speed than the bear. Now she was one against two however, and she'd need to find a way to gain the upper hand. Her mother's words rung in her head. 'When you're up against two or more threats, you need to switch between targets constantly. Don't let the bigger threats catch their breath enough to retaliate.' That fact in mind, Hikari sheathed her lighter sword as quick as she had struck Ruslan and reverse rolled away. As she came to a stop, she was down on one knee and quickly flung her sniper rifle into hand, aiming at the furraine girl's midsection and letting off a shot, *BANG* After she let off the trigger, she swung it back once more and grabbed her blade again, ready for the bear bound to approach, and prepared for the girl if she somehow managed to dodge from such close range.
A good fight never hurt anyone.

Ruslan
The thump to the bear Furraine's side was shockingly more effective than first anticipated. Not because it had done any real harm to the fortified man, but because of the speed behind which Hikari was able to perform such a maneuver. In fact, he was still in a punching animation by the time she was rolling away from him, setting herself up to take a shot at the incoming Vixa. Ruslan didn't mind giving her props for dealing with the duo efficiently, but even so, it was still a battle at uneven odds now. The distraction, no matter how minimal, was what set the bear up for the strike he truly wanted to perform; a decisive blow.

With his right arm winded back, Ruslan would rush his fist forward at an alarming speed, the wind whistling along with the thrust as the Furraine's heavy blow pushed forward. Whether it made an impact or not was debatable, because the moment his arm stretched to its farthest reach, a faint click was heard resounding within his cybernetic construction of an arm. Then, without any other warning, a loud BOOM thundered from his gauntlets, an EXPLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSION forming from the ignition of the fuel. Even the bear himself skidded back from the push of the blast, his feet screeching against the floor as the large man-bear-human-thing attempted to gain his footing once more. For a moment the lazy bear looked awestruck as if he had just stumbled on a naughty magazine that his younger brother was hiding in their room.

So the fuel they had me put in my arms wasn't for my car, he thought to himself, a heedful and very wise expression overtaking him. Good to know. This did bring up another good question, though. Was the bear truly aware that this was a friendly spar? From what he could tell, he just threw a punch that was going in for the kill, and no matter how one looked at it, the fact that the amount of pressure behind his attack was suitable enough to set off the trigger for his weapon was questionable, to begin with. He didn't doubt the speed of Hikari, nor her intuition that went along with it, but a direct hit from something along those lines was nothing to sneeze at for a small being such as herself. With a bit of worry, the bear called out through the smoke. "Yo, uh, Hikky? You alright over there?"

Ruslan wasn't even going to bring up the fact that Xero went down just as flashy as his punch from earlier did, either. The man even saluted before ultimately falling. At the very least, he made a big impression on the big guy, an appreciation for the blue cat-man-thing's humor etching itself inside his heart. Be strong, my friend. Your sleep will not go unnoticed, he would think, holding a hand over his heart in respect to those that they had lost that evening. Xero will be missed. Ruslan was certain to buy him a drink or something later that night.

Being able to laugh so much, Vixa had to admire this man's sense of humor. Even down to his last actions, he went out with a salute for comedic value. Amused by Xero and his presence, it was obvious the man didn't fight with his full abilities. Then again, this was supposed to be merely a sparring match. The cat girl could only ponder what he was like when his life was truly on the line. Of course, Vixa was fully intending to harm him. But killing the man would create complications for her position. Still, she was amazed by how quickly he maneuvered. Just not quick enough. She stepped over the blue haired man, leaning over to examine his body. That poison worked rather quickly. Or maybe he's just a light weight. Heh...it'll be fun to wake him up later...She poked his cheek several times, but the man was still lying prisoner int he clutches of sleep.

Lost in her thoughts, she completely forgot that Hikari was still very much in the game. A small part of her was sincerely hoping the bear could pull his own weight, but looks like time had run out. More accurately, Hikari was just more skilled. Vixa's ears flicked as the sound of a rifle went off, turning just in time for a shot to pierce into her mid section. Letting out a short squeal, the woman went flying backwards, managing to flip herself to land on her feet. Her hands placed over her abdomen, she chucked. That's going to bruise later. Favoring the adrenaline over the searing pain, she spread her legs out, bringing her hands out on the ground in front of her. Ready to spring into the action once more, until she felt the ground tremble as Ruslan released a powerful explosion. The bright light blinded Vixa briefly, and as it dissipated she blinked to assess the new situation.

Hikari Yumi
Hikari Yumi.jpg
Hikari was about ready to dodge the bear's punch again, but it seemed that plan wasn't going to come to fruition. Instead, she was met with a large explosion that sent the bear back, but also pushed her backwards as well. Luckily she caught herself, but not without her own loss. Her rifle had been knocked away, sliding across the floor to the end of the room. There was still smoke between herself and the bear, and it seemed Vixa was looking around, most likely looking for Hikari herself. She dashed into the smoke however, making her way towards the bear to hopefully stop him from doing another such attack. Her muscles ached, she had put more than she should have into not being rag-dolled from the blast, but now was not the time to wince.

As she ran through the black smoke, she grabbed hold of her weapon's sheathe, ready to blind the bear when she got out. When she was out of the smoke, she flipped her sheathe up, catching the lights brightness and aiming it at the bear's eyes. It was now or never, especially since the other furraine girl was bound to go for Hikari's rifle. As she got close to the bear, she jumped up, and with all the force she could muster, held the sheathed blade with both hands and slammed it on his head. Please knock him out, I don't want to get shot today.

Ruslan
No answer. The bear's calls to Hikari either went unheard or she was actually harmed from the sudden detonation of his (quite literal) arm cannon. That was when the worry settled into his mind, nestling its way to the bottom of his stomach, making it practically lurch from the thought. What if he was the reason Hikari's career suddenly ended from a tragic accident that was caused during a simple sparring match? He didn't want to be the one destroying the dreams of people he had only just gotten to know as (at least, in his mind) friends. Not only that, but he would go down as some bumpkin who couldn't even control his own strength; a danger to society. Ah, he could hear it now, people telling him: 'You can't even hold back in a friendly game?' and 'Why did I ever bother getting to know you?'

While the lengthy man was having his own dilemma, Hikari appeared to be just fine and dandy. Jumping out of the smoke like some kind of master from a martial arts movie, she lunged towards the unsuspecting behemoth, driving a hard blow into the side of his head. Now, just to be clear, getting hit in the head once by a plasma sniper rifle from ten feet away hurts, but when you add someone driving a sheath with all the strength they could possibly muster into the exact same spot? That hurts. It didn't seem obvious at first, Ruslan having even gotten a firm grasp around Hikari's waist, hoisting her into the air and successfully keeping her locked in a single position; however, his eyes were bloodshot, his already bruised wound becoming a much darker shade of purple as he did so. While his grasp was unflinching, he could only see black blotches, his vision having conked out on him.

He was still standing, though. By definition, he had her in a position where someone of his strength could easily dispose of the tiny being, almost like a twig. So, while he might've technically won the fight with that in mind, he definitely was in no shape to continue on. In fact, he might need to check in with a professional to make sure there was no permanent damage to that thick skull of his. What would've been a small quarrel had become much more dangerous. In hindsight, the small Furraine didn't hold back any punches because of Ruslan's resilience, but if this had happened to anyone else besides him, they would've been in much worse of a position than he was. He was let off easy.

Struggling to find the capability to even speak, Ruslan would shout, "Take the shot!" As to what happened next would be up to Vixa, because his arms were simply locked around Hikari, and the game wasn't over until the white-haired beauty said so. Whether or not Vixa took the chance was up to her, but as of now, the large bear had finally sealed the deal, not allowing the girl to move even an inch. There was hesitance in his actions, but the bear wasn't the type to squeeze little girls to death. Given enough time, Hikari would be able to shift out of his grasp naturally, and there was a low possibility that the bear would ever get the same chance again.

It seemed Hikari was still up and about, but this time she didn't have her trusty sniper rifle by her side. Blown back by the blast, both Ruslan and Hikari had been dealt some damage. The most impressive attack I've seen all day from you Ruslan. Who knew you were capable of something so destructive. She thought with an amused grin. As Hikari brought down her sheathe upon Ruslan's head, Vixa turned her focus on fishing for the rifle within the depths of the smoke.

Finally finding the weapon, she fumbled with it, flipping it this way and that. She could hear Ruslan's words break through her confusion, and the woman hissed in frustration. I've never shot a gun in my life...She positioned herself, finding the gun rather heavy.
"Aha, well there's a first time for everything." She muttered to herself, as she tried her best to focus, cocked, and pulled the trigger. Miss. How do people do this. She tried once more, this time managing to hit Hikari in the shoulder. Thinking she could try for a better, more critical shot, she steadied herself, breathed in, and fired.

Only, third time was not a charm in her case, as she made a clear head shot at Ruslan. She watched as his large frame stumbled back. "Oh...Damn....I made a head shot!!" She twirled around victoriously, thrilled with it being only her third shot. Even if it wasn't who she was aiming for. The pain in her abdomen began to return and she teetered a bit. She would have had better luck using the last of her four shuriken.

Ruslan
Hearing the sound of a round whisk past, Ruslan could easily tell that Vixa's first shot was an obvious miss. He had no real clue as to why he entrusted her with a gun, but hopefully, it was going to pay off eventually, right? The second shot had made an impact, his mechanical arms shuddering as Hikari took the blow to her shoulder. Finally not putting all the boasting to waste, the strobe-haired Furraine was able to follow up, the bear almost certain that the battle was finished. That was, at least, until he had gotten hit on the head by what was now the THIRD TIME. The worst part about it? It was from his own team member, too.

She must've been thinking that it was a good idea to show off her skill, or maybe stroke her own ego, but somehow Vixa was able to pull off a headshot only after missing two attempts before with the weapon. Now Ruslan had a bruise that perfectly mirrored the first, another welt forming on his temple. He had to wonder what he did to have gotten so unlucky. Was it because he wanted to pet Vixa's tail, or because he went along with the nickname Commander Kitt? Either way, Ruslan had let Hikari finally drop from his grasp, his feet scrambling to catch themselves for the last time, slamming his foot onto the ground behind him in order to secure his balance. If there was one thing this bear had, it was a drive to show how much he could really take.

This did make him wonder another question. Are all girls capable of making headshots at any place and time? With a hand to his head, he would close his eyes, his previous headache turning into a beast much more than he could handle at this point. Looking over to Hikari, he gave her a playful smile, showing his teeth and everything before speaking. "You really are pretty strong, eh?" At this point, he didn't care whether or not they thought the battle was still going. He was in a place where he wasn't looking forward to any more pain and suffering from his rivals and/or own teammate alike. Rubbing the sides of his head for a moment, he vetoed to continue, making his way over to Vixa. Something about the look in his eyes gave off the impression he wasn't going to congratulate her on a 'shot well done'. In fact, he resembled the appearance of a very grumpy bear.

"Dren. And I'll remember the name."

Mireya continued to spin her revolver as Dren came up to her as he took his shirt off. She rolled her eyes as she spoek out to him, "That's an interesting tactic... Rip off yout shirt to a woman. Don't think for a second that I will fall for your looks." With that she took a shot at his feet, making sure to barely miss him but close enough to show she was aiming for the spot. "Age before beauty," she winked and acticated her other eye, wanting to see the propper time and spot to shot him.

"Those eyes of yours are quite alluring. Can I take a closer look at them?"

Mireya blinked once more as she gave him a smirk and answered, "Be my guest." With that she timed the shot and had two of three bullets made contact with, what her contacts picked up, his scaled torso. Four shots, two to go. As soon as the shots landed, Mireya back flipped to give her some distance before he could reach her. "Dren was it?" she laughed, "How about to stop delaying and actually do something."

She had to admit, this Ruslan character was tougher than any normal person. Perhaps he really was a living tank. Regardless though, her latest impact seemed to do something. However, just as she had feared, going aerial was a mistake. He had managed to wrap his large hands around her, leaving her to struggle to get out of his grasp. *BANG* The first shot missed, thank god. *BANG* The second hit her square in the shoulder. The pain was immense, it felt as if a fire blazed through her, the searing ache making her want to cry out, but she had to hope the last shot, if there were going to be another, would knock her out first. *BANG*

To her surprise, rather than an inky blackness taking over, she felt herself falling to the ground, and looked to the bear, who now had a sizable mark on his forehead. She shot him? Thank you minty for having bad aim. However she wasn't out of the park yet, and she wasn't going to be able to win without a miracle. As soon as she hit the ground, she scrambled to unsheathe her swords, only able to unsheathe one. Her left shoulder was in too much pain for her to carry anything, let alone move it if she could help it. Sword at the ready, she prepared for the bear to make his move, only to watch him lumber past her, ignoring her presence, to walk over towards his friend and shooter.

She assumed that didn't bode well, but she wasn't sure how to stop a behemoth who just wouldn't go down. She couldn't subdue him for the fact that she'd tried that twice now, both times failing. Plus the only way she could think of would put her in jail for life, so there was no way she'd think about trying that. Instead she sheathed her blade and watched. As far as she was concerned the duel was over, and she had two new rivals to compete with.
Thank you minty for having bad aim.

-Where Possibilities Are Limitless-

The doors to the main entrance of the Guardian Facility would fling open as two robotic soldiers held it open, allowing four men in clean and prestigious white uniforms to walk into the main lobby. Each of these men had a glowing blue symbol on their shirts which looked like a “T”, while the two robots had black symbols on their chests. A round, black man led the other men as they made their way to the front desk, with three strange white, cylinder pots floating behind them. Two of the pods split off from the group, hovering to opposite sides of the lobby. The tops of the pods would then open up, with thick white smoke streaming out of them before revealing all assortments of products, all of which were as clean and advanced as the robots standing beside the main door. Smart phones, tablets, computers, headphones, pens, and other necessities were presented, and both of the stands came with their own credit card scanners and high-tech coffee machines, in which the cups which came with them hovered an inch in the air. Upon seeing these hovering stations, the people within the lobby stopped what they were doing and rushed to the stations to investigate them, as smiles and gasps of surprise came among them as they saw how affordable products and coffee were.

Meanwhile, making his way to the front desk, the black make make a warming smile as he stood, his snow-white teeth, fancy mustache and polite demeanor taking the desk worker by surprise as the black man then said, "Good afternoon. Me and my associates have come here to have a word with the Commander of the Guardians."

William

William jolted awake to the feeling of lukewarm water rolling over his feathered back. In an instant, the his eyes snapped open, almost paralyzed as the water made its slow, steady, and somewhat comforting course down his body. The crust of a slice of bread was still hanging half-eaten from his mouth, and the duck furraine stuffed it down as he waited for the wash to finish. Ugh. I can't ever say no to a good routine cleaning... but when did I fall asleep? Glancing around, William realized he was still at the infirmary desk, having spent the last two hours drooling on papers he should have been filling out. "Well, that was a productive two hours," he mumbled after checking his watched. "Not every day that I get this much rest-"

At that moment, a little realization struck William where he sat, and with a growing sense of dread, he peek back over at his watch again. "Two hours - drat. I missed the ceremony!" Scrambling to attention now, William raked and grasped at air and papers before grabbing a first-aid kit and bolting for the door - which ended up looking like a little waddle as he frantically tried to shake the water off his back. Granted, the introduction wasn't as important for a more support-inclined guardian like himself, but what kind of ducktor would they think he was if he wasn't punctual? Oversleeping isn't my job, he thought, making a frantic dash for the main building's entrance. If anything, it's the bear guy's... what was his name again? Rusty? Rucksack? Russell Terrier?

Before he could actually remember the bear's name, William found himself at the entrance, greeted only by a dispersing crowd and an utter disappointment in his fowl-ly out of shape self. "Blast... this... body..." he wheezed, considering using a water jet out of sheer frustration. "Alright, this is fine. Follow the support protocol, easy. Listen for those bloodcurdling screams, and if you can't find them..." The duck's words caught in his throat as a pair of passerby caught the "bloodcurdling scream" part, giving him a confused stare. Being unable to express his embarrassment from under the mask, he gave the passerby a bashful smile-turned-creepy-glare until they left and switched to reciting protocol mentally. Then listen for the fight itself, and if not... William stared back into the building, in the general direction of the training room. Look for wherever they can hurt themselves first - because that's where those blasted guardians are gonna be. Slinging the first-aid kit over his shoulder, he made a beeline for the training floor, sweating nervously the whole way there.

William had arrived at the training floor right on time, apparently - right in the midst of the guardians beginning to injure or incapacitate each other with their new weapons. It was just as the preceding support guardian had told him - this could definitely be a day for injuries, considering everyone was just getting adjusted to some pretty dangerous weapons. And dangerous they are, he thought, watching the recruit named Vixa land a straight headshot on that unidentifiable bear from earlier. Glad I'm not in there. Taking a perch close enough to the action - but far enough to keep his nervous self away from all those predators, ready to swoop in and clean up when these guardians were done. Noticing the prone form on the ground that was Xero, William made a quick waddle over to the other guardian, dragging him over to his side of the floor as he waited for the rest of the training to clear. Hm. Rutabaga's taking some heat now, he mused, propping Xero's body against the wall and unlimbering his bandages - just in case. Maybe I'll have to step in soon...

As the fight between his fellow guardians continued, Nyr watched, studying their movements, strengths, and weaknesses. That was until the bear made it difficult to see with a large explosion. "Genesis, activate thermal vision if you'd please." Understood Kuro. As he requested this, his eyes changed from golden to a deep crimson, and his vision was altered. He could see everyone's heat signatures, and they were all very active. It seemed the girl had survived the blast, though it wasn't surprising, and had gotten over to the bear. Gunshots from the other small figure told him that she had dropped her gun, and her opponent got hold of it, though she wasn't very accurate.

It wasn't long now till the fight was over, it it wasn't over already that was. Then the other fight finally started, but nothing promising seemed to be happening just yet. "Genesis, what do you think would happen if I were to duel any of them while overclocking my various systems?" 65% probability of victory. Nyr sighed, "You're so boring Genesis you know that?" He continued to watch the fight for a moment, then looked up at the security camera, staring at it. "Are you watching Commander Harlock? I hope so..."

"Hmm, I wonder who Grim will pair together with the new recruits..." Harlock was sitting, hunched over a monitor sitting in his lap, watching the security cameras in the training room, watching their scuffling. "Personally I think Vixa would work well with Nyr... though they've both got some strange reason for being here other than the actual job so perhaps that'd be a bad idea." He sighed while leaning back in his chair. "Being commander is hard... why won't Grim accept the position already? I just wanna nap." *Commander Harlock, you have visitors from Typhon Industries.* "Huh? What's Typhon doing here? Send them up." Placing the tablet on his desk, he spun in his chair a few times before getting up and standing in front of the large window behind his desk. He looked out on New Eden, but the beauty of the place wasn't on his mind.

"Grim won't accept the position of commander, these new recruits are shaping up to be more prepared than we'd hoped, and now Typhon shows up?" The commander chuckled. "I'm just over thinking it. This is why I need a good nap. All this stress is making me paranoid I tell ya." Looking around, the room was empty except for him. "Oh yea... commander's office. It's just me." He sighed and slumped over for a moment before returning to his desk and watching the training room some more. "Nyr... you honestly give me the creeps. Not like Grim creeps either, Nyr creeps... whole new kind of creeps." Harlock stared back at Nyr for a few moments before finally turning off the tablet and setting it off to the side. "I guess I'd better get this Typhon business over with first, that way I can address Grim with the pairings I'd like to happen..."
Not like Grim creeps either, Nyr creeps... whole new kind of creeps.

As the desk lady stood up and went to escort the black man and his associates to Commander Harlock's office, the two robot guards and the third cylinder pod followed from behind. As the people in the lobby bought everything the hovering stands had the offer, both of them simultaneously closed up and began to turn holographic and digital-like, before vanishing into thin air. The confused costumers could only stand in shock as the stands disappeared, though little did they know that the stands had actually been teleported into a Typhon Truck outside of the Guardian Facility.

After a few minutes, the doors to Commander Harlock's offer would open as the black man and his associates came it. With a big smile and stretched out arms, the black man said with a charismatic tone of voice, "You have no idea how much of a privilege it is to stand before the pinnacle of the New Eden's Guardians! Commander Harlock! Or should I say, the Commander Harlock! I must say, that was a spectacular speech you made during the ceremony. And the new recruits looked fresh and ready to protect our fine city." As the black man spoke, the two robot soldiers walked in, standing beside the thirst hovering pod as they stopped five feet behind the men in white uniforms. The pod then began to move until it was facing straight up before slowly making contact with the floor.

Harlock nodded, "Well I do have public appearances to fret over after all. It's a pain honestly, seeing as I'd much rather be doing my job as a mentor and guardian." Taking a deep breath Harlock stood and circled to the other side of his desk, leaning back against his desk. "So, what could I do for you today? I imagine that has something to do with this unannounced visit?" He gestured to the pod behind the robots. "Now before I allow you to speak, let me say now that we'll be declining any weapons, or other technology you already have on the market. Our current projects render the standard technology you provide ineffective, however we've been very grateful for what you've sold us thus far."

Although he was certain they were not here for such a reason, he had to make it clear that him and his underlings weren't interested. On top of that, he still hadn't chosen the first missions for the new recruits, and he also needed to decide the best way to deal with the reports from two outposts. Smiling, he returned his thoughts to what was in front of him. "That in mind... let's hear what you've got in store..."
So, what could I do for you today?

The cat furraine watched as Hikari was released from Ruslan's grasp, prepared for more, if only lacking some grace in her movements. But it soon became clear the bear was in no shape or mood to continue with this brawl. He grumpily brushed past her, making his way over to Vixa. Despite the sour look on his face, Vixa was bright and peachy. Her tail swayed and her ears perked. As the man came to stand before her, she gleefully mewed, "Did you see that Rus? I made a head shot on my third try! And I've never fired a sniper rifle in my life!! Luck was really on my side." She could tell amusement was not on the top of his list of current feelings, and she placed one hand on her hip, her other crossed lightly over her abdomen.

With a dismissive voice she averted her eyes slightly. In a quiet voice she muttered, "What? You're looking at me like I did something wrong. What did you expect? Hikari's so tiny and you were obviously a larger target. It's not my fault." Louder, she turned to face him fully once more. Excitment flooding her eyes again. "That explosion you made earlier was really amazing. It looked deadly. You should do that more often." She thumb upped him.

Noticing both Hikari and Ruslan were tapping out for now, Vixa pouted. "Ahhh? Done already? I guess I had some fun though." She smiled. The young woman would have to replenish her shuriken stash and sharpen her claws later. A nice bath already sounded quite nice as well. Contrary to what most might believe about cats, Vixa loved baths. Though now might not be the time, she eagerly was hoping to get to interact with Hikari more. Perhaps she could teach her a few things.
Her attention whisked around to inspect Xero.
Is he awake yet? She noticed a duck furraine sitting beside him, tending to his wounds. Her ears flicked again. "Ah! A medi-duck. You might want to get your head taken care of Rus. If you tip over now I won't carry you." Not that she was physically capable of such anyways.

Skipping over on the other side of Xero, she spoke up, "You seem well versed in the medical field. Do you have anything for this bruise?" She lifted up her yukata-like cloak to reveal her tummy, cream skin now beginning to blotch with purple and blue. She let her top fall back down and gazed down at Xero curiously. Heh...let's wake you up. Vixa turned around and let her tail swish over his nose like one would tickle someone using a feather. He's lucky I didn't decide to awake him with my fangs..

Her green eyes were smiling along with the grin that was on Mireya's lips. This was the first time she had actually jumped onto a fight where she hadn't planned a thing. But her cockiness was catching up to her as soon as Dren he began to take aim at her. "Am I angering-" Mireya began but was cut-off by one of his shots hitting her on the shoulder as it pushed her back, tripping over her own feet. Cursing under her breath, she Kicked up, off the ground. Taking the final two shots, not caring if she missed and popped the Cylinder off the revolver and took out the custom strip magazine she had created along with remodeling her grandfather's revolvers.

It was like she was dancing, already figured out the trigger speed he was using to shot at her and planned her dodge. Once the magazine in place, she spun the cylinder until the cylinder halted on the first bullet on the strip. As soon as he shot towards her once more, Mireya took aim to his shoulder, focusing on her sweet spot to cause some damage on the shoulder. She had noticed the scales, which told her he was going to survive a few bullets to the shoulder. Enough where he would be sore in the morning, let alone be able to hold his weapon easily. But the only things she wanted was to miss direct his shots until she was able to time her shots and cause him damage and get close to him.

Half way through the magazine and she was still dancing around the training room. Flipping, spinning, jumping out of the way of every shot. Some landed but not fully to cause her to trip like the first time. Taking a surprise shot at his other shoulder to change things up, Mireya took the surprise shot to get close. Tossing the pistol to her left hand, ready to shot, she used her now free right hand to bring out her plasma sword, ready to end the spar or to deflect anything he might throw at her.

As Commander Harlock finished his sentence, the black man cleared out his throat before going on to say, "True, the technology you produce is arguably on-par with the Typhon branded tech we sell in our market. But we did't come here just to present you any of our other usual products." The black man would then chuckle as he pulled a small white disk from his pocket and setting it on the floor, before expanding and transforming into a hovering seat for the man to sit on as he spoke to the Commander, "As you may know, what our company is pest known for is our skills over the fields of robots. Our tech alone has pioneered an age were not only Humans and Furraines make of the workforce of New Eden, but also our highly advanced and intelligent robots. Servants, cooks, manufactures, police officers, bankers, teachers, entertainers; we've even built robots for soul purpose of war! However, our company is now at a point were we're looking to expand our robots into fields never explored before. Sure, we have robots performing various forms of labor in the city, as well as robots off in the front lines, but we're looking into developing a robot that the people will not see as any other artificial intelligence,"

one of the other men would pull out a remote and, upon pressing a button, would trigger the upright pod to open up, letting out a steam of thick white mist...

A robot would step out of the pod, in which the other men moved out of the way so that it could make it's way to Commander Harlock's desk. The robot wore a classy, dark blue suit with a tech-looking top-hat and a monical. "Valorous aft'rnoon, sir." the robot spoke, it's voice having a gentlemanly tone to it, similar to a butler, "Alloweth me to introduceth myself.
