Scela Kingdom

tq21eTn.jpg

The Scela Kingdom is known for its agriculture, and simple lifestyle. Unlike the Forella Kingdom, Scela does not have riches and jewels. Their countrymen are known for their practical thinking and loyalty to others. While they may not be boisterous, they are the best in a fight, and are too proud to back down from one. Their house colors are forest green, navy blue, and black; their house sigil is a boar.

Forella Kingdom

bdc0005ddf5bb9e0baa

The Forella Kingdom sits atop mountains, showing its people and its enemies its power. Because the kingdom is so mountainous, agriculture does not thrive in this region. The Forella Kingdom is known for its mining industry, supplying the kingdom with many riches. Because of their riches the Forellen people like to show off their wealth by dressing ornately and throwing lavish parties. The house colors of the royal family are red, gold, and white; he house sigil, is a lion.

Princess Rosaline Miriam Adler
5ccd5c265c966ea25096eae2715f2251.jpg

Rosie had been feeling a whirlwind of emotions the past couple of days. She, her family, and a few people in the royal entourage had made a long and arduous journey to an enemy country. This trip was to make preparations for Rosie's wedding; which was to the Prince of this enemy country. Rosie had met the Prince of Forella many times and every time the Prince left with the worst taste in her mouth. It was bad enough that she would have to marry a man when she wasn't even attracted to men, but did this man have to be so damn rude? And that wasn't even the worst of her problems. Recently, Rosie had been spending quite a lot of time with Lady Gwynyffer Lyonesse, a knight in her father's court. Gwynyffer was beautiful, and kind; ablite a bit slow on the uptake and even slower to trust, but Rosie had a feeling she was getting to the lady knight. To say the least, Rosie hadn't slept very well the past couple nights.

This morning was no different. She woke up, just a few hours after she had finally been able to fall asleep, to maids bustling around her room. Rosie sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes. She immediately noticed all the maids stand at attention and look a little nervous. Rosie knew that look and she scanned the room for a translator, with none in sight. She sighed and picked up a notebook and pencil from her bedside and wrote. She gave the note to one of the maids who read it aloud to the others. Obviously Rosie couldn't hear them but as one scurried out of the room, she knew that one was going to get Cassidy, or at the very least her translator. Rosie got out of bed and was immediately surrounded. She groaned and pushed her way out of the circle of girls before picking up the notebook again and writing.
"I only need one maid plus Cassidy. The rest of you can go about your business." She sat down at the vanity in the room and stared at herself in the mirror. She held the notebook up in the air and it was taken out of her hand by the same maid as before. Rosie studied how tired her eyes looked and the expressions of the maids faces behind her. They all looked so nervous, what were they expecting her to do? Grow a tail?

Sir Lyle James Dubois
1fcb365996a03cb3d31cc9e64bbf8d2a--male-costumes-fantasy-costumes.jpg

Today was like every other day for Lyle. He woke up, got dressed, and headed down to the training field, bright and early in the morning. He did his morning drills and exercises before going back to his chambers to wash up and get dressed again. It was then that he went on patrol around the castle, making sure nothing was broken, as if to suggest someone tried to break in. Making sure everyone was doing their job. After a once around the castle, he went up to the Prince's chambers to make sure he was awake. Prince Gerard and Lyle had been best friends since the boy was sent to become a knight. It had become their morning ritual for Lyle to come get the Prince and the two of them would go get breakfast together. However this morning's breakfast would be different. This breakfast would be shared with all of the Forellen Royal Family, along with the Scelan Royal Family...and company. Lyle knocked on the door of Prince Gerard's chambers.
"Your Highness? Are you ready to see your Fiance?" Lyle couldn't help snicker to himself. He knew Gerard and Rosaline hated each other, and it was very amusing to watch the two interact. Lyle carefully opened the door and peeked his head in. "Milord?" He called out jokingly.

The dawning of a new day had roused Gwynyffer from her bed. Being in another kingdom made the knight terribly uneasy, so her sleep was far from restful. It was doubtful that anyone would be foolish enough to actually attack a knight, but she never discounted stupidity. She was quick to clean up for the day, having made sure that her armor was as polished as it could possibly be. It practically shone with a silver sheen as the sunlight struck it. In Scela, Gwynyffer had rarely tended to her appearance on a day to day basis. During this journey with the princess, however, the knight had been having a change of heart. She had even attempted to tame the vibrant red curls that created a mane.

"There..that will do nicely," she said to herself as she inspected her reflection after the addition of her sword being strapped to her hip. Her green eyes scoured her reflection for blemishes as she let her thoughts turn to her reasoning for such attentiveness. Princess Rosaline. The young woman was so elegant and beautiful, her smile surpassing the sun in its radiance. And she was engaged to be wed to a prince.

Gwyn heaved a sigh as she turned from her mirror, pacing toward her door. She had become quite smitten by the sweet tempered heir, but she knew that it was a completely hopeless endeavor. While it was, vaguely, possible that the princess found interest in her, Rosaline was going to be wed. There was no hope for a future, and she was setting herself up for certain heartbreak.

As Gwyn left her quarters and took her post outside of the princess's quarters, her assignment having been to be Rosaline's royal escort, she couldn't help smiling to herself. She never had taken the path of least resistance.

Cerelle
Cersei-Lannister-245x300.gif

Things in the Capital were tense right now, with the looming wedding along with the fact it was their enemy marrying into her own family had Cerelle on edge. Fortunately she was no shy wall flower and if there was any
kind of plot, she would do as she always had done. Deal with it.

Once she was dressed by her maids, she dismissed them in order to make her way to her Solar, where both families along with some visiting lords and friends would break their fast together. Her husband may be ready to go into this marriage blind to the dangers but she would not.

She took the time she had in her chambers to think over the imaginary chess board the situation had placed them in. Her son, her darling boy, Heir to the kingdom was to marry the chit of a girl from Scella. She could see the reasoning behind the plan, her husband was not a complete idiot. However he seemed to ignore the risks that came with this plan.

Shaking her head, she sighed knowing that she had to follow his plan no matter what she felt but gods be damned if she would see her family used. Standing up, she inspected her appearance and happy with the result, sent one of the waiting maids to start inviting her guests to her solar to break their fast together.

Holding a letter stamped with a red Viper on an orange crest, she gave a small smile. At least with Aelyx coming Aislinn would be in better spirits, even Gerard since the boys had been firm friends when they were last together.

King Jamie Alder

King Jamie was in fact still in bed with his queen. He had slept in. He was one of the first people up in the morning. But today was different, today was a special day for the family. It was the day he would hand off his little girl into marriage. He laid there cuddled up to his wife. Her hair covering his face. He gently kissed the back of her neck. He gave her a small hug as he laid there next to her. He loved his family, but his wife the most. She was his backbone. She was whole world, and she knew it.

He let out a soft sigh and slowly got out of bed, not wanting to wake his dear wife. He bathed and got dressed. He wore these fine leathers under a layer of chainmail. He, along with his family would be accompanying his daughter over to the kingdom of Forella. It would also be good to see the face of the King of Forella as drops of his daughter. He attached his sword to his hip. The last thing he would need is his crown. He placed a golden circlet on his head with a very finely cut sapphire resting upon his forehead.

With his kingly attire on Jamie had made his way down into the study that he had. The study itself was nothing to special to look at. In the center was a table where he would sit his council of ten, the governing lords or Scella that aid the king in political and military manners.

Farther into the room is his desk, where Jamie see to any parchment or documents that require his signature. Then there is a fire place to the right of the council of ten, with two chairs sitting kitty-corner to each other facing the fire. A table is set in between with a couple of chalices and a bottle of wine.

Jamie let out a sigh as he walked into his study. Most of the preparations had been taken care of. The provisions, the transportation, and the guards along with a few knights would be making the journey with the royal family southward towards Forella.

What a kingdom that. It was subpar when it came to Scella. It was a kingdom that was beneath Scella. But the arraignment would stop the fighting of both kingdoms and maybe improve relations.

Jamie had sent out a calling for all knights that would be attending to this journey meet him in his private study to discuss further action, this included Gwyneffer.

Prince Stephan Alder

The prince was already awake. He couldn't sleep all night as he was thinking about what was going to happen the next day. The journey into the kingdom of Forella. Stephan loved learning, and that was especially important when it came to outside kingdoms. They had so much knowledge that wasn't shared, especially Forella. Yes the kingdom was the enemy of Scella, but only meant one thing. They could learn from the enemy and grow their forces and siege equipment.

Stephan walked out of his room and was met immediately with a member of his royal guard, or as he referred to them his babysitter. His mother was the one that had found out about him sneaking out and going into town to commune with the citizens. She was the one that told his father, who assigned him the "Babysitters". He made his way down into the castle garden and walked. He loved the smell of the Lilac and the taste of the gooseberries in the morning.

He waited there for his mother. He wished to speak to her about what was to happen when they arrived in the kingdom of Forella's capital.

King Alibaster Forella

King Alibaster had not spent the night with his wife in their bed, he had spent the night sleeping in his study in the chair across from the fireplace. He had originally passed out because he was in far to drunk to go to his bed, but he didn't want to sleep with his wife that night. Alibaster did love his wife, but he never showed it. He grew up in a strict household where he was taught never to show fear or love or any emotion period.

He was awoken when his assistant and council member. He looked around, the fire was out, the room was a mess and he was out of wine. It was exactly how he had left it that night. He looked to his council member and got up. "What do ye' won't?" He asked as he was handed a letter. It was form the king of Scela. It had said that the royal family would be accompanying the princess.

Alibaster let out a groan. That king and that blasted kingdom. Always coming around when not needed. always a pain in the arse to Alibaster. Always thinking their so much better then Forella. Alibaster took the note and tore it up. "Send for my wife, and bring her here...." He said opening another bottle of wine.

Aislinn Hadley Forella

The morning was absolutely beautiful and Aislinn had been up since well before dawn. And as she did on mornings like this, she had gotten herself dressed in one of her simple gowns that she could mess up without any issues arising from it, climbed out of her window and onto the tree outside it, and headed off to find a good place to watch the sunrise. The princess hated being inside when she didn't have to be and took any oppourtunity to get out of the four walls that she could.
After climbing down from the tree by her room, she had beelined straight for the edge of the forest on the palace grounds. Once there, Ash proceeded to climb up into another tree, her favourite tree, and settle back to watch as the skies changed for dark to a delicate blush colour as the yellow sun began it's daily path across the sky. It was always so beautiful and thee sun never rose the same way twice, there were always subtle differences each time.
Her head tilted back to rest on the trunk of the tree as the young princess' mind drifted to thoughts of her brother's upcoming wedding and all it brought with it. Safe to say it was obvious that her brother didn't like the princess of Scella and she didn't like him either which meant that this whole thing was going to be one big ball of fun for sure. Not. Plus she still didn't know what was wrong with her brother and that bothered her. For a while now Ash had known something was up with Ger but she still couldn't place it and she just knew it was more that his dislike for the princess.

With all of her thinking however, Aislinn had completely forgotten that the Scellan contingent was arriving for breakfast today. As such she was oblivious to the fact that the maid who had just entered her room was freaking out that she was missing and had just gone running to her brother to tell him as much; because the maid was not up for risking the wrath of the queen by telling her right now, she was not stupid.

Cassidy Octavia Bellecote
When the maid abruptly arrived in her room, Cassidy had only just finished getting ready for the day, in an elegant pale blue dress that was covered in lilac flowers detailed with gold while her hair was loose with only a couple of strands twisted back from the front. Instantly it was obvious what was wrong from times it had happened previously - Rosie's translator wasn't around to sort out the maids. And so without a word even being spoken, Cassidy swept out of the room and headed for her friend's.
Gwynyffer was already on duty outside the door when she arrived which was always good to see and she nodded in acknowledgement of this. "Morning Gwyn" Cassidy offered with a smile. "I would love to stay and chat but it seems the maids don't know what to do with themselves this morning so I've got to go and save my friend from incompetence it seems" she explained before nodding again and striding into the princess's chambers.
"Right you lot, stop gawping for starters" came her command with a clap of her hands before she headed over to her friend and started signing with an apologetic smile. Sorry I wasn't here earlier. What do you need to happen?

Cerelle had just been about to leave her chambers when a page arrived with a message that the king had 'requested' her presence in his study. Picking up her skirts, she started to make her way down towards the study, flanked by two of her guards. The contingent from Scella were due to arrive by mid-day so why he wanted to speak with her now was beyond her comprehension.

As time had gone by she had grown to dread when her husband visited her rooms. However that seemed to mercifully stop after her children were born.

Arriving at the study she went straight inside without knocking, they had been married too long for any kind of formality. Turning to her guards she gave an order not to be disturbed as they had private matters to discuss.

Sitting down and pouring out a goblet of wine, she raised an eyebrow at her husband
"You wish to speak with me my king?"
She asked in a cold formal tone despite their privacy.

King Alibaster

Alibaster watched as his wife walked in and sat downand poured herself a goblet of wine. Alibaster had his back to her, facing his desk. "As you know the kingdom of Scela's princess will be arriving today.... The bastard family shall be joining her." He said looking out the window towards the capital city. Now the kingdom of Forella was more militaristic that Scela, and had no problem in a war. But in peace his military had become fat and lazy.

He turned and faced his wife. "I fear that the King will not keep to his word, and will go back on his word the second he can." He said taking a sip from his chalice. "If so I wish for you to take the children and hide." He said before sitting down next to his wife. "I feel even with this marriage, war is inevitable."

Gerard would normally be up by sunrise so he could go out for his morning jog, before he would wash, dress, head for breakfast and then spend time training. This morning was all different and he was not looking forward to the day in the slightest. Though he had still been awake early, Gerard had remained seated in his bedroom mulling over what today was due to bring; Rosie and her family. It was difficult enough having to meet Rosie on occasions, but this morning all of the Scelan Royal Family would be present and he knew it would be much more difficult to brush all of them aside.

Gerard had initially intended on going to breakfast in casual, informal clothing, as if to make some sort of protest and mockery out of the whole thing. However, he knew that would only infuriate his parents and make things even more difficult. Begrudgingly, he dressed in traditional clothing, including some red in respect of his house colours. He felt like quite the political puppet right now and it repulsed him. His mind wandered to one of few thoughts that could bring a smile to his face during such miserable times and that was Alistair. That man almost made him feel more hopeful...

Any thoughts were interrupted by the knock at the door, which was followed up with the sounds of Lyle's voice mentioning something about his fiance. Gerard emitted a groan just as Lyle opened the door. "Come in," he called out, unfortunately unable to find any humour in his friend's joke. He got up from his seat and turned to face the young man. "My friend, I don't think I will ever be ready for the chore of seeing Rosaline," he commented. He grabbed his sword and stored it at his hip before stepping over to the window to look outside. "Are we sure I'm not adopted and someone else is heir to the throne?" he sarcastically, or hopefully, asked.

Savannah had woken from her sleep quite early, but realising Jamie was still snoozing, she took advantage of the opportunity and allowed herself to fall back off to sleep herself. Anything to put off going to meet that damn power hungry family. The next time Savannah woke, her darling husband had already got up, dressed and left the room to attend to his duties. Knowing she'd spent long enough in bed and worrying over what was to come, she knew it was time to pull herself together and be the strong woman her family needed. There was no time for her to show weakness, not when she would likely be in the presence of others for the whole day.

Once bathed, she allowed her personal maids into the room so they could tend to her hair and clothing. She would usually wear a pink or red dress, but she went with a navy blue gown in respect of their house colours. Savannah would do everything in her power to make a good impression on behalf of her kingdom. When she was finally dressed and her wavy hair flowing free down her back, she received word that her son wished to see her.

As she walked towards the garden, Savannah saw Stephan waiting for her. She told her guards to wait a distance away so she could speak with him privately. "Good morning, Stephan," she warmly greeted him and waited for him to turn to face her. "Are you well, dear?" she asked.

Cerelle

Cerelle took a deep drink from her Goblet, looking thoughtful. At least he had dropped the blind optimism regarding this wedding, she should be thankful he was thinking of contingency plans.
"You do realize that if we were to flee they would think our son a coward?,
And who would fight for a coward"

Cerelle stated as she poured herself a refill of wine. While she was protective of her children, she also

knew that you needed to put on a front for the people for their allegiance. With a nod, she looked thoughtful.
"I can send Aislinn to the western lands of my family or even to the southern Islands. They are the furthest away from Scella so distance wise she would be safe"

Cerelle looked thoughtful again wondering what she would do, She knew Alibaster and Gerard would fight that was glaringly obvious. "And I shall remain here. you know with you and Gerard fighting one of us will be needed to hold the capital"

She replied as she handed you the letter she had received.
"It would seem young Aelyx Dayne is arriving for the wedding proceedings. Pirates have decided that with all the attention on the wedding it would be a good time to attack the southern coasts. His father and older brother are raising a force to meet them. And with Lady Allyria and her daughter holding Sunspear Aelyx is the only choice to represent his family. At least we shall have more support during the time of the wedding at least."

Cerelle finished her Goblet and stood.

"Go and clean yourself up, we are to meet for breakfast soon and I will not have you looking like a farmers son having rolled with the pigs and stinking of a brewery"

Cerelle had sent a page to find the prince and princess of the young lords pending arrival. It seemed he would arrive before the Wedding at least. The page found both Lyle and Gerard. Giving a bow of reverence the young page stuttered out that he had a note from the Queen. Handing it over, the page left again. The small scroll saying a simple sentence.

"Young Aelyx Dayne will arrive shortly for the wedding. He shall be remaining as a guest for a while"

The page then ran off to find the Princess. Arriving at her rooms, he gave a knock and when the door opened, he handed over the letter to the Princess stating it was from the Queen.

"Sweetling, young Aelyx Dayne shall be arriving for the wedding. I hope you will help him settle in when he arrives"

Once Cassidy arrived she looked to her friend and gave her a soft smile. "I need not to go to this breakfast." She signed back. She sighed and stood, going over to the closet that was provided for her in this strange castle. Rosie had to admit, everything was very extravagant. The bedroom was decorated ornately and there was Red and Gold everywhere. It kind of make her eyes hurt. She pulled out a green dress and laid it on her bed. "I want to wear this dress, to show off my house colors. They may force me to marry a Forellen, but I will always be an Adler." She looked down at the dress and sighed. The thought of marrying the Prince made her stomach churn. He was so awful to her, and she couldn't imagine what it would be like to... She shook off the thoughts and tried to reassure herself. "The children I bare will be enough to keep me happy...and with any luck I'll be able to keep Gwynyffer as my bodyguard..." It was then that she was drawing at straws. Her growing affections for the lady knight would prove to be very complicated. Rosie brought herself back to reality and smiled to Cassidy. "Well we best not keep the Forellens waiting."

Lyle chuckled and patted Gerard on the back reassuringly. "Come on now Gerard. She really isn't that bad. What is it about her that you don't like?" Lyle led the Prince out of the room and down the hall. He was going to be at the breakfast as moral support for his friend if nothing else. He also hoped to run into that friend of the Princess'. What was her name? Lady Cassidy? She was beautiful, and Lyle hadn't had a fling in a long while, it might be nice to get something going while the Scelans were still here. His thoughts were interrupted by a page running up to them with a note from the Queen. Lyle groaned upon learning that Aelyx Dayne would be coming for the wedding as well. He didn't hate the Lord, persae, but he didn't like him either. It was rumored that the young man had a preference for men and it just made Lyle uncomfortable. No matter how good of a friend he was to the Princess Aislinn. "Ugh...that guy..." He mumbled.

Cassidy watched the maids let out a collective breath of relief that everything was okay again and they finally went about their business. It really got to her when they treated her friend like she had some sort of infectious disease or something. It just wasn't right. But she figuratively shook those thoughts out of her head as Rosie smiled and followed her to get the desired dress which was absolutely beautiful. "I think it's perfect Rosie. You will always be you" Cassidy tried to reassure her friend, not wanting her to be unhappy. "And no we best not keep them waiting I agree." she replied as a slight tinkle of laughter escaped her smile. "Let's get you ready then and show that prince how lucky he is to be allowed to have the honor of marrying you" And with that, Cassidy set about getting the princess ready for breakfast.

King Alibaster

When his wife talked about how people would call his son Gerald a coward. He stood up very angrily. "They will fight for a king that would survive..." He walked over to the desk and looked down at the papers. "I fear that my life will be forfeit at the end of the week. At that time, he will take over as king." He walked over. "You shall look over to him as the queen mother, but he shall and will be the king. It is only a matter of time before it happens."

"Now we must go down and meet our guests." He said finishing off his goblet of wine in one swig. He walked to the door and opened it. He looked at the four guards standing outside. Tow of his and two of his wife's. "Come we have guests to meet, and breakfast to have." He said walking out of his study.

As Lyle led him out of the room,he asked what was so bad about Rosie. Gerard could hardly tell him the fact she was female was the main thing he disliked about her. "Between you and me? I'm not attracted to her and I don't like the idea of arranged marriage. We have nothing in common," he added, despite the fact he'd never tried to find out if they had much in common. "I should be allowed spend my life with someone I love and connect with. Is that too much to ask for?"

When the page approached them, Gerard took the note and read it, allowing Lyle to see it too. Whilst he was happy to hear his old friend would be coming to stay, he did feel somewhat apprehensive. The last time they'd seen each other, Aelyx had kissed him and soon after returned home. Whilst Gerard had liked the kiss at the time, he was now due to marry a princess whilst being secretly in love with another man. This was going to be very awkward.

"Oh, come on, Lyle. He's a good friend, especially to Aislinn," he said, smiling encouragingly in Lyle's direction. As they walked towards the dining hall, Gerard looked around to see if anyone was nearby. In addition to the Adlers, he wasn't looking forward to seeing his parents this morning. No doubt they would both be in terrible moods.

Swallowing her own goblet of wine, she stood and followed him, ready to face
the Royal family of Scella. Fighting the urge to roll her eyes as they walked together.
"Yes because heavens forbid they should think our marriage no less as happy
as their own"

She said with a heavy dose of sarcasm as they made their way to the Queens Solar,
A medium sized room where they would be all breaking their fast together. She had specifically
told the cooks to make a mix of Forellan and Scellan food. Once the doors opened she observed
the banners of both her own house and her husbands as well the banners for the king and queen
of Scella, in a show of unity.

Walking the length of the table she looked over the layout and happy with the placings, she took a seat
in the chair to the right of her husband.

Aelyx had been travelling for three days when the capital came into view. With a grin, he could not wait to see Aislinn and Gerard. He had some feelings of sadness at the thought of Gerard marrying the princess, he had arranged with his father and the Queens invite that Aelyx would represent his family in the capital for the long term.

Arriving in the courtyard, he met with some pages who began to arrange his belongings to take to the suite he would be living in. With the gifts he had arrived with being carried, he followed the page towards the solar where the food was being readied. The Queen and King had given an invitation to attend the breakfast.

With a nod, Aelyx followed the page along the familiar corridors as they came towards the queens solar.

She felt beautiful, and it made her all the more upset, because she knew that this wonderful feeling would go away as soon as she laid eyes on the Forellen Prince. She sighed and gave a half smile to Cassidy. "Thank you my friend. Let's make our way down to the Queens Solar." Rosie walked out of her room to find the ever lovely Gwynyffer standing outside her door. Rosie's mood was instantly lifted upon seeing the redhead. She smiled to her and gave her a polite nod.

Lyle sighed "Yeah I know he is! And it's not him per se it's just..." Lyle looked around and made sure no one was listening when he whispered to the Prince. "You've heard the rumors haven't you? About his preferences?" He let the information sink in before he continued, not whispering anymore. "It just makes me a little uncomfortable is all. He's not a bad guy, I just don't want to get caught up in that kind of scandal." Lyle gave a half smile to his friend and gave him a slap on the back "But for you and Aislinn, I'll be civil." He chuckled as they made their way to the entrance of the Queens Solar. He turned back and smirked at his friend. "Are you ready for this?" He asked.

Gerard listened as Lyle spoke about Aelyx and the young man's rumoured sexuality. Although it did cause Gerard to worry how Lyle would react if he ever found out he was gay, he didn't hold anything against his friend. Lyle was simply a product of their kingdom and his views simply reflected those of most in the kingdom. Homosexuality was considered a sin and punishment for practicing it was of the worst kind. Lyle was probably sensible to want no involvement in it. It was just unfortunate Gerard felt he had to hide that part of himself from his friend.

"Yes, do it for Aislinn and me. We need all the help we can get to survive with whole engagement," he said, smiling to Lyle. He then shook his head when asked if he was ready. "No. Not in the slightest."

As he entered the room, he saw the king and queen already seated at the table. "Good morning," he said, despite his tightened jaw. "Mother," he said, leaning to kiss the queen on the cheek. "Father," he simply said to the king. Gerard then took his seat to the left of his father. He cast his eyes anywhere but to the door, wanting to prolong the length of time before he would have to see Rosaline.

Savannah returned the hug and felt a little comforted by the gesture. As he spoke about education and visiting the library, she smiled and nodded in agreement. "That sounds like a wonderful idea, Stephan. It will be valuable for you to learn things from this kingdom and expand that ever-growing knowledge of yours even further," she told him. They had no choice in the matter, so it would at least be good to better understand this place.

"No, it's certainly not home," Savannah mused aloud as her son spoke of the garden. The garden back home wouldn't be the same without Rosie there. She was snapped out of those thoughts when Stephan complimented her. "Thank you, dear," she replied, a warm smile on her face. "I decided it was best to make an effort today and show pride for our name," she told him.

The guards then arrived to tell them it was time for breakfast. She simply nodded her head and walked with Stephan back into the castle. She hoped they would meet Jamie along the way so she could face the Forellas with her husband by her side.

Gwynyffer was patient as she waited by the door for the princess to be ready for breakfast with the Forellan kingdom, her hand resting casually on the hilt of her sword. She had seen the frenzy of maids leave and chuckled to herself, anticipating the approach of Rosie's dear friend. As expected, the young woman was quick to be on her way to offer aid to her friend. Gwyn grinned at Cassidy and laughed. "Well met, Cassidy. Your expertise is more than likely a necessity, as always. We can speak later while having a lovely breakfast with the Forellan royal family."

Gwyn watched the Princess's friend enter the room and sighed softly. It had to be terrible, being engaged to someone you didn't love. It wasn't a fate Gwyn was likely to know, her status as a knight keeping suitor far and wide for her hand. Which served the future Marchioness just fine, thank you.

The door opening caused the redhead to turn her gaze, and she felt a bit of air being drawn from her lungs when she was face to face with Rosie. Wasn't it against some law to be that beautiful; it truly wasn't fair for the hearts of mere mortals. Good Morrow, your highness. My calling has been to be your shield; as such, I cannot stray far, she teased with a light hearted grin, layering her true intentions under her orders.

"And good morning once more Cassidy. Fancy seeing you here." She walked along behind Rosie, her bearing completely casual but her gaze like that of a hawk. She was watching for any sign of an attack, lean muscles poised beneath her armor to strike even as she made small talk with the princess's friend.

Her friend was stunning and looked every bit the crown princess of Scella, the prince should think himself lucky he really should. As Rosaline looked in the mirror, Cassidy gave her shoulder a comforting squeeze, reassuring her that she was there for her. "Of course your highness. After you" she replied before gesturing to the door for her friend to go first with a smile.
As she followed Rosie out of the room and fell into step behind her with Gwynnyfer, smiling at her greeting, she couldn't help but hope that everything would work out in the end, despite how bad things seemed currently. "So Gwynn" Cassidy started turning to the knight. "Let's go and protect our crown princess shall we?"

Aislinn Hadley Forella
Safe to say, Aislinn was in her own little world. She was completely oblivious to the fact that she was meant to be on her way to breakfast with the Scellans, convinced it was tomorrow that was happening, and so was just enjoying the freedom of being out in the forest and away from the confinements of the palace. Little did she know she was going to be very very late.

Back inside the palace, the maids were frantic, not wanting to get in trouble for losing the princess. Still they had to tell someone and so it was that they sent the youngest, Elodie, off to try and tell the prince about his sister's abscence. Unfortunately for her the prince was already in the solar by the time she found him but she managed to catch up to Sir Lyle before he entered. "Sir," Elodie started whispering, a little out of breath from running from one side of the palace to the other, "we can't locate the Princess Aislinn at all" she admitted nervously, hoping he could help in some way and didn't let her get slaughtered by the royals.

The rising of the sun was usually greeted by a light hearted tune befitting the beginning of a bright, cheerful new day. This day, however, the strings of the harp rang with a more melancholy melody. The person playing the harp stared out at the sunrise, his fingers plucking the strings to create a somber piece befitting his day. It was the beginning of a new day and the beginning of the end for the love he had found. Alistair had fallen in love with the prince of Forella, even knowing that love would certainly never last. It would surely kill him to watch the man he loved above all others vow himself to the princess of Scela, but he would not trade those precious moments with Gerard for anything in the world. Hearing his name from that man's voice was sweeter than any song wrought by a seraphim, and the memories would be enough to help get him through the lonely winters he would surely face. Good brandy wouldn't hurt either.

To add insult to injury, Alistair had been invited to the Queen's solar since he was a lord in his own right already, the youngest of their peerage. It would be unseemly for him to turn down such an illustrious invitation, so the young lord dressed for the day at the close of his song and approached the Queen's solar. He entered the room and watched from a far, the pensive young man not daft enough to approach royalty without being beckoned. Alistair knew his role and played his hand close to the vest, his expression carefully neutral. Some of the older nobles discounted the young upstart, which was fine for him. Remaining silent in a crowd of whispers had let him learn many secrets.

Rosie hid her blush and stifled her giggle as Gwynyffer signed to her. She knew the true meaning behind her words and she couldn't wait until the two of them were alone. Then Rosie could show the knight her true intentions. It didn't take long for them to reach the Queens Solar, unfortunately, and once they were at the door Rosie stood frozen. She didn't want to go in. She didn't want to have to face the Forellens. They were power hungry and the Prince was rude and all Rosie wanted to do was to turn back and spend the day with Gwynyffer. But she knew she couldn't. She took a deep breath before opening the doors and walking inside. Once inside, the only people sat at the table were King Alibaster, Queen Cerelle, and Prince Gerard. Rosie held her head high and walked to sit across from the Prince. Luckily, her translator was already standing in the corner waiting for her. Rosie decided to wait until later to scold the girl for not being in her chambers this morning and waved her over. The translator came scurrying and Rosie turned her attention to the Royal Family. She gave them a kind smile and a polite curtsy. "Good Morning your Majesties. Thank you for your hospitality this morning in providing my family breakfast." As Rosie signed, her translator spoke, "And thank you for allowing my family into your home. I know you were not expecting all of us so soon, but my family means a great deal to me, and to have them here as support during this transitional period is very helpful." She gestured towards Lady Gwynyffer and Lady Cassidy. "This is Lady Gwynyffer Lyonesse Catanach. She is a knight in my father's court and my personal bodyguard for this trip." She turned and gave Gwynyffer a knowing smile "And with any luck, my father will allow her to stay my bodyguard, and be my first knight in my court. And this is Lady Cassidy Bellecote. My closest friend. And after the..." Rosie paused before continuing "...the marriage, I hope that she will stay with me and continue to be my friend." She turned back to the Royal Family and gave a polite curtsy again before sitting.

Lyle allowed Gerard to walk ahead of him into the Queens Solar but he was stopped by a maid before he could go inside. Lyle turned his attention to her and when hearing the Princess had gpone missing he sighed deeply and looked to the door of the Solar. She rolled his eyes and nodded.
"Right then. Go about your business, I'll find the Princess. And not a word to the Queen until I say so. Yes?" The maid obviously agreed before scurrying away and Lyle jogged off to the edge of the woods to find Aislinn. It took him a minute to get there, but once there he could see Aislinn's blonde locks up in the tree. He chuckled and rolled his eyes, calling up to the Princess.
"Milady Aislinn! You must come down! You're expected at breakfast with the Scelan Royal Family!"

Princess Aislinn Hadley Forella

She nearly fell straight out of the tree. Her personal bubble with the voice and it startled her a lot, her hand only just managing to hold on and keep her in the tree. Ash looked down and registered it was Lyle before his words sank in and panic spread across her face."Oh hells! I though it was tomorrow! Oh hell I'm so late I'm so late!" The words babbled out of her mouth as she deftly descended the tree, hitting the ground right in front of him; and then she remembered her dress. "Oh crap I'm not even in an acceptable dress!" Aislinn facepalmed, now in a complete whirlwind of panic. "Lyle you've got to help me please!" she exclaimed, grabbing hold of his wrist. "You cannot let me screw this up for my brother and embaress him!" The young princess was practically begging now.

Lady Cassidy Octavia Bellecote

When they entered the solar, Cassidy was relieved to see the translator there finally, although she shot daggers at them just the same. She was tactical and made sure that once her princess took her seat that she took her place to her right, making sure she was there in case she needed anything considering especially that the queen was on Rosie's other side, and began admiring the environment she had found herself in. Forella was definitely beautiful she had to give it that and the solar, along with the rest of the palace, was so decadent and elaborate that one couldn't help but marvel at it.
Upon hearing her name, the she tuned back into the conversation and took her friend's hand out of view in a show of solidarity and a reminder that she was there. Cassidy also curtsied after the princess, making sure that she was always secondary as was right, before addressing the table herself and signing as she did so that Rosie was not reliant on the translator for her words. "I must also give my thanks your majesties for your hospitality in allowing me to accompany my princess to your beautiful home here" she said with a smile and a slight nod of the head in submission to their authority and power.

Despite trying to look away from the door, out of the corner of his eye he saw a familiar figure enter the room. He turned his head to see Alistair had entered and that at least made him feel better on the inside. By now, Gerard had mastered the ability to keep his feelings for the man he loved hidden from showing to others on his face or through his body language . It also helped that today's proceedings made him feel nothing but miserable, so his face remained deadly serious. Still, seeing that handsome man always made him feel hopeful.

Rosie then entered the room and Gerard figured it was perhaps quite difficult for her to walk in to the room without her family by her side. Were circumstances different, he would try to reassure her and make her feel as comfortable as possible. However, he could never love the young woman and he didn't want to give her any opportunity to like him in return. It was much easier to try make her hate him. When Rosie addressed his parents and showed gratitude for their hospitality, Gerard simply sat back and folded his arms. He made a point of looking at the translator rather than Rosie herself. He looked over to Gwynyffer and Cassidy respectively as Rosie referred to them. If she liked the two women much, he hoped they could stick around and keep Rosie distracted so he could keep doing his own thing. Keep seeing Alistair.

Gerard decide it was for his parents to respond to Rosie. This was all their doing, after all.

Cerelle

Cerelle had given a gentle smile when Gerard entered and took his seat. With an affectionate kiss on Gerard's cheek, she sat down to the right of the king, with the space opposite reserved for Aislinn. With the room going quiet, Cerelle could almost feel the discomfort her son felt as time ticked by and there was no sign of any of the other guests.

Next the Scellan princess made her entrance and the translator explained what the princess had said. Despite the warm words, Cerelle could see the same tension in the princess that was in her son.

With a gracious smile she gave a response
"Thank you little dove, I hope you find the Capital to be a new home for you and any comfort you want you only need ask"

Going back to silence, she took a look around the table she took stock of the people missing from it.

Aelyx had arrived to the solar and was announced. With a carefree grin, he entered the room.
He gave a respectable bow to the King and queen, He took an offered seat before explaining
to the gathered table that he had been asked by his father to be his representative due to some
ongoing issues on the islands.

While he did not into details about what was happening, he explained enough of what was going on.

Helping himself to a goblet of wine, he took advantage of everyone being drawn into other conversations.
He gave a brief but heavy look to Gerard, its meaning clear
