The land of the Silver Valley is dangerous, cold, and as of now undergoing great change. The Silver Valley is home of the native Silvermen, who settled the region sometime long ago, but where they came from is unknown. The land is home to two major factions; The Bear Clan, made up of strong warriors and many glorious heroes, and The Wolf Clan, home to honoured and respectful folk who will do whatever it takes to preserve the prestige of their clan. There are also the Clanless, a category of people who lack the benefit of a chieftain's protection and live in scattered settlements, forced to live their lives in constant suspicion and fear as the clansmen will often take them for slaves. There is no king in the Silver Valley, and there never was.

The Silver Valley has a unique religion to itself, and it is one of the few things that unites all of the people even when divided in troubled times. The Silvermen worship many spirits of the forest, nature, and land, who oversee their rituals and are pleased through animal sacrifice and honourable combat. Ulfreik is the only true god in this belief system, who blesses his followers with good fortune and reincarnation upon death, and is said to be the strongest of all the higher forces. The Elderman's Grove is located in the Blackwood, and is a holy ground of very old and sacred trees, where bloodshed is not permitted unless through animal sacrifice, visited by worshippers to gain favour with the gods and spirits of the woods. Sorcerers and shamans were rumoured to have once practiced ancient magics, but this knowledge has been lost to time and the centuries.

The Silver River runs through the middle of the valley from north to south, a wide and deep river which allows for fishing and even farming in the southern and less cold parts of the valley, but can transport fighters by ships for combat, raiding, and warfare as well. To the west side of the river is the Blackwood, owned by the Bears, a large forest where millers and woodsmen are commonly encountered, and on its very edge right by the river is the home of Stag Peak, a large fortress that is run by each and every clan with the sole purpose of fighting off invaders and foreigners, open to even the clanless. Then there are Golden Plains, owned by the Wolves, a smaller but fertile and warmer place compared to the rest of the land. Lots of people can be found here, trying to cultivate the soil. To the east side of the river are the Lichen Hills, a barren expanse of rocky and treacherous cliffs, cold and rough hills. It is very hard to grow food here and is where the clanless have lived since all the good lands were taken by the two clans.

Currently the Silver Valley is on the edge of war. The Wolves and Bears are experiencing land disputes and Bears have been harassing the traders of the other clan. Northmen from foreign lands have been sailing south along the Silver River in longships and worshipping strange gods, raiding fishing hamlets and taking innocents as slaves, but the clans are too spread thin and fighting with one another to take major action. And on a smaller note, woodsmen have been going missing in rising numbers in the Blackwood, and some claim to have spotted demons and evil spirits in the deepest parts of the wood, but are laughed at and easily dismissed. With all the tensions rising, it seems as if the Silver Valley is about to explode into flames and chaos, and the day it does is inevitable.

Sorry for the delay. I've been really busy lately. I may not be able to release the RP due to my current IRL situation, but I'll try to find the time to make the RP threads. Apologies.
