1. what kind of enviroment do the characters wake up in?
2. how strong is the amnesiac? will they just forget most recent memories or will they forgot their name, age, their class, etc?

They wake up in sleeping bags in a large, underground parking lot like area, feeling a bit dazed but otherwise fine, they remember a bit of panic and news alerts before being evacuated, the only other person there is My character, sitting in a chair reading a book

That's what I'm doing -shrug- unless someone interacts with my character because I don't want them to get tie locked
