Rematch! ( ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾
The year: 2140
The story: In this futuristic society, no one did anything to aid in the stopping of the global problems. As a result, most polar ice caps melted, increasing the size of the ocean, and decreasing the size of the Earth’s landmass. These problems, set with the difficulty of population growth, caused many countries to fall apart, and collapse due to riots, and attempted coup d’états, resulting in billions of deaths worldwide, and many anarchies being established. Though many fell, 25 countries were able to withstand the difficulties, and still stood to the challenge of surviving. Some of these countries gained help from their allied nations, while others were able to save themselves. The surviving countries were, The United States of America, The United Kingdom, France, Spain, Japan, Italy, Russia, Germany, South Korea, Mexico, Canada, Indonesia, Australia, Egypt, The Congo, Ethiopia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, India, Nepal, Greenland, Ireland, Scotland, Greece, and the Arctic Poles. The population had been reduced severely, having only 1 billion people left from the previous seven billion, and the population is slowly going up. As a result, the countries signed an international accord, called The International 100 battle accord, where every five years, each country randomly select four people, two men, two women, to create a team, who would have a fight to the death with other countries’ teams, only ending with one victorious country. In order to win, it was required to have only one remaining team, no matter how many were in said team. All parties were affected by this accord, rich, poor, elite, or common folk, anyone could be chosen from the age of 16 - 24.
Rules/Useful info:
- Allying with other teams/countries is accepted, as long as you are able to communicate somehow. (For example, one character from either side, must be able to speak both party’s languages, in order to be a communicator.)
- Sabotage or murder before the battle, is prohibited, and will be punishable by the laws set in that specific country.
- This is the 7th lustrum of which the battle will take place. (A lustrum is a set of 5 years)
- The battle takes place in a different country every time, the current one will be held in Greece, and the battle arena is about the size of a quarter of a city
- This roleplay will be futuristic, but not fantasy. Sci-fi will be the main focus instead.
