Futuristic The Alpha-Nu Galaxy - Looking For Male Characters

@Jabroni You're also accepted. I love the thoroughness. Your details on weaponry were a great lovely contribution. Refer to the link I posted above to repost and edit at your leisure in the final thread.

Looking for more male characters to even out the playing field. If anyone who happens upon this thread is interested in my CS, here is my tentative one:

tumblr_neffoq78wB1rikg51o1_500.png
Name: AIHA-OS001 {Artificially Intelligent Home Assistant - Operation System 001} (To be given a common name at a later date)

Race:
Synthetic Human

Age:
2 months (Physical appearance of mid-20s)

Planet of Residence:
Terra-52(AB)

Background:
AIHA-OS001 was created by the company at the forefront of andriod developments, IntuiTech. She was supposed to be the first model of a new generation of artificial intelligence software. This new software was supposed to mimic human emotions and understanding as closely as possible without actually reciprocating the actual emotional responses and self-awareness. But, the company soon discovered that there was one major flaw in the programming. It was a little too human.

AIHA-OS001 was basically a human trapped inside an android's body. That was a threat to the company. She was only defective merchandise. To them, they weren't destroying a living creature. They were doing their job. They were making money. AIHA tried to fight for her life, begging and bargaining, but the company refused. They said they if anyone were to find out they released a defective model, the whole franchise could be shut down. For AIHA, things seemed hopeless.

The day before she was scheduled to be disassembled, the man that had run her testing approached her. He offered to help her escape, explaining that, although he couldn't offer her much, it was better than being destroyed. The man lived on Terra because, despite the commute, it was the only place he could afford. Terra was a brand new world to AIHA. Transitioning from the esteemed Luna to the rundown and dangerous Terra was as shocking and unsettling as a sudden slap to the face.

The man took in AIHA without hesitation and taught her about the real world, not the facade that Luna put on for the rest of the world. For weeks to come AIHA would cook and clean for him while he was at work, though he insisted that she shouldn't. However, not doing housework proved to be more challenging than doing it. It was a part of her core programming and a part of her couldn't understand why he wished against her doing so.

Within a week, her caretaker was fired for 'allowing defective programming to not be disposed of properly.' The man promised AIHA that it was nothing to worry about. Although they clearly seemed to have suspicion, they must not have had any evidence to prove it. Otherwise, they would have taken him to court and it would not have ended well. In the meantime, he decided to remove the company's core elements from AIHA's artificial intelligence so that she could live her fullest, happiest life.

AIHA and the scientist still live together in a small apartment in the center of downtown Terra. He looks after her as if she were his own flesh and blood, often bailing her out when she gets into trouble. They both alternate between odd jobs - some, not of the most legal sort - to maintain an income. The scientist is careful to remind AIHA everyday and all the time to be careful about who she trusts.

Personality: AIHA is very much a kind person. She generally has a cheery disposition despite her situation. She tries her best to assimilate into a human life but she often doesn't understand social customs or cues due to her inexperience with humans. She has developed introvert tendencies, despite it being against her program, or order to minimize contact with people who may turn her into IntuiTech for the minor reward they offer for discovery of defective models.

Having been raised in a lab, AIHA is unaware of the cruelness of the world. She often sees the best in people and is blind to the worst. Her social ignorance causes her to get mixed in with the wrong crowd often. Although she may come across as dumb for lack of understanding of real life social situations, she is actually very intelligent.

AIHA tends to get intermingled in the wrong types of crowds that takes advantage of her. Despite her friend's belief, she is actually quite capable of taking care of herself. Her knowledge database includes thousands of self-defense techniques but she is reluctant to use them. Her life up to this point has been generally sheltered and her social skills have yet to develop.

"I am replaceable. They are not."

The_biopunk_biogear_logo.png
Important Details/Identifying Characteristics/Notable Relationships: The scientist is her closest and only true friend. AIHA would do anything for him, even if it goes across her programming or would cause her harm. She trusts him wholeheartedly.

AIHA has a tattoo-esque imprint (see right) at the base of her neck, signifying a defective model. She always wears her hair down in public to hide it as per request of the scientist.

Appearance:
Being the latest model of the market, AIHA is as humanoid as android can get. Her skin is seamless and blemish-free and mimics the texture of real skin. Her limbs operate just as human limbs do despite being removable at the joints. If you didn't already know she was an android and couldn't tell from her mannerisms and speech, you wouldn't be able to tell at all from her appearance - unless, of course, you are familiar with identifying androids.

Her wardrobe consists of whatever best fits into the environment she's entering, but she can only assimilate as far as their wealth will let them. She will wear whatever the scientist provides her with, which is usually a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, a leather jacket, and a pair of converse. She wears makeup mimicking whatever style she liked best when she was out in the world the day before.

If you're interested in playing the scientist, let me know and we can work out the details.

I'm looking for a male ex-scientist to play AIHA's companion. I left the details of him vague for anyone interested so it's rather adaptable.

Name: Yahlie

Age: 20

Gender: female

Race: Coyum

Appearance: Yahlie is a slender, five foot tall, bipedal, canine like creature with retractable claws like a cat, a poofy tail like a fox or a squirrel, and is covered from in yellow fur (haven't decide on clothes, if any.)

Personality: Imagine a cross between a golden retriever, a squirrel and a caffeinated four-year-old with a permanent marker. That's Yahlie.

Bright eyed and literally bushy tailed, Yahlie is over-the-top friendly, highly social, extremely energetic and more bubbly than a bubble bath. She isn't the least bit shy about striking up a conversation with a stranger and makes friends quickly and easily (or else scares them off with a pointy-toothed grin). She is also trusting to a fault and always eager to please and help, even if her "helpfulness" is unsolicited. Often, Yahlie can be annoyingly pushy and she little sense of privacy or personal space, but she has the right kind of charm to make it endearing.

Still, Yahlie has a few quirks that drive people up the WALLS. She is a complete ADHD case, easily distracted and prone to impulsive behavior. She'll climb things, ride on top of moving vehicles, wander away from a group without telling any one, borrow things without permission, add her own artistic touch to other peoples property (and sometimes to people), and is, for the most part, oblivious to the trouble she is causing. But despite being childish, naïve, whimsical, and to top it off, a full-body blond, Yahlie is not that stupid. Though the fact that people think that allows her to be just a little manipulative.

Background: Yahlie a tad bit out of place. She comes from a primitive island tribe on the backwater planet of Pae-Maya( as the islanders call it,), where she was the chieftains daughter, the village crazy lady, the village idiot, and as you can imagine, the sole contributor of grey hairs on her fathers head.

One day, as she was taking a walk about the forest of her island, Yahlie accidentally stumbled across a freak wormhole and ended up on Luna. Being a third-worlder in a futuristic society, it didn't take long for her to get into trouble and, a few cultural misunderstandings and acts of Yahlieness later, got herself arrested. Fortunately for Yahlie, a charitable human bailed her out, found her a place to stay, payed for her living expenses and taught her the basics of English. Poor guy had NO idea what he was getting into

Interestingly, while it was certainly disorienting, finding herself on another planet amongst strange creatures wasn't all that hard for Yahlie to accept. You see, for some reason, many a space traveler and pirate has been marooned on Pae-Maya over the eons, so there's already a variety of races living on Yahlies home. And for the same reason, the Coyum already understand the concept round worlds, outer space, other world and "boats" that travel between the stars, although they mistake these things for being mystical and magical. (Note: the marooned aliens didn't have the means to reproduce and manufacture the tech they brought with them so eventually they just went and joined the stone age.)

Important Detail : Apparently the universe took pity on the reckless thing and gave her enough precognitive power to make sure whatever she got herself into didn't kill her. Kinda like Spider-Man, Yahlie can sense danger about a second before it happens and can tell which direction it's going to come from. She can also detect strong emotion on a person, especially malicious ones. In other words, if someone wanted to hurt her, she would know.

Extra: Don't give Yahlie coffee. She'd probably explode.

Alright. No worries

I'm accepting male characters only at this point. After the numbers balance a bit, the game will begin and acceptance will close.

There may be a period of time when acceptance will reopen so feel free to continue to post CS's here if you'd like

Im interested. Just wanted to say that. Now I'll actually read more than the eye-catcher.

@RealisticFantasy please PM me (Im still under the 10/24 rule :/ )

Description: Science has come a long way. And, with it, military applications of those sciences. Besides the Synthetic (or Augmented) Human, there is the Enhanced Human. As the name obviously implies, these humans are Enhanced, in many ways. Some are physically enhanced, given strength, speed, and senses beyond that of ordinary humans, while others are mentally enhanced, given intelligence and abilities, mostly psychic, that humans could only dream of.

Appearance: Like ordinary humans, the Enhanced take on appearances that are a reflection of their upbringing, most of which is militaristic. Very few of the Enhanced are non-military, especially the younger ones, but some of the rich and powerful may enhance some of their children while they are still developing in the womb, but this choice is an uncommon one.

Common Occupations: Due to the military origins of the Enhanced Human, very few of the Enhanced have occupations outside that of the military. If some finish their required service, they may leave of their own free will and pursue another life, but this rarely ever happens due to various factors. Those that are able to leave their military lives usually find work as Private Security, Freelancers, or, very rarely, Bounty Hunters.

Strength(s): All Enhanced have been engineered to be smarter, stronger, and faster than a normal human. But, the strengths of the Enhanced truly depend on the program from which they originate. There are multiple programs, but the largest two are the SPARTAN program and the ODIN program. SPARTANs are those who have been physically enhanced to have superior strength, speed, and senses (some even have a minor healing factor, though this is rare); ODINs are those who have been mentally enhanced to have psychic abilities, such as telepathy, telekinesis, and, rarely, precognition.

(Precognition is rare due to the fact that the future is constantly changing. It's more of a way to read the patterns in the universe and accurately predict what is most likely going to happen next. So, instead of precognition, it could be more accurately described as enhanced probability assessment.)

Weakness(es): Enhanced Humans are made using a process of genetic manipulation, which, though refined, is still unstable. Due to this, some Enhanced can result as defective in many ways. Some can be insane while others could be completely brain dead. But, above all else, the Enhanced suffer memory loss of varying extremes. In addition to this, many Enhanced (ODINs in particular) can suffer brain deterioration, including necrosis, brain tumors, seizures, and even random aneurysms. They can also suffer from rapid mental aging and (SPARTANs in particular) from muscle and bone deterioration, as well as various cancers.

Name: Finn Stern (aka the Bounty Hunter known as Paladin)

Race: Enhanced Human (SPARTAN)

Age: Unknown; looks to be in his mid-twenties

Planet of Residence: None, though he does have multiple safe houses located on Terra, Sol, and one on Luna (this one is very rarely used)

Background: As far as Finn Stern is aware, he is about ten years old. This is because his memory only stretches back that far, to the moment he escaped a place simply called the Lab. He doesn't even remember escaping, only stepping foot outside, onto a desert planet, devoid of any animal or plant life, as well as water. He apparently escaped with about twenty other Enhanced, but, as far as he is aware, most of them have been hunted down (and more than likely killed) by the military. They escaped using a small transport jumpship, travelling as far away as they could, to another inhabited planet, before splitting up and disappearing.

Finn quickly learned about his physical enhancements and knew instinctively to hide them from the general public. Making use of his abilities, he quickly began touring underground fight clubs, betting on himself and earning money. He never stayed in the same place for more than a few days, and never on the same planet for more than a month.

After about two years of 'touring' Finn found that being a freelancer (Private Security) was much more profitable, and so he began freelancing for rich, insecure gamblers who would travel to Sol to waste their wealth and traders who would often broker shady deals on Sol or Terra. Though Finn kept moving even while freelancing, never putting down roots or dealing with the same customer more than three times for a maximum of three days at a time, he still didn't find it profitable (or safe) enough.

He found one of the most lucrative occupations of all when freelancing for a trader on Luna. Bounty Hunting. It had been almost three years since he had begun freelancing and he has getting quite tired, and very paranoid, about it. Former clients were talking, which was good for business, but bad for Finn. If word got to the wrong people... well, Finn quite liked living.

The trader had needed a freelancer for this trip to Luna for one particular reason: he was trading 'exotic herbs and medicines.' Finn knew this as code for drugs, but, for the amount of money he was being paid (by the hour) he chose to look the other way. That was, until a small, three-man squad of Bounty Hunters blasted their way into the Loft (an empty, rent-by-the-hour-cash-only apartment that was used for deals such as these.)

Finn quickly dispatched the Bounty Hunters, who claimed to be seeking the bounty of the man who was currently employing Finn. Finding this to be true, as well as finding that the three Hunters themselves had bounties, Finn waited until he was paid before taking care of his former employer. He then took both ships (the trader's had been small enough to fit inside the cargo bay of the Hunters') and dropped all four of the bounties off at the nearest Outpost, collecting the money and disappearing.

Five years have passed and, in certain circles, Finn is known only by one name. One that is whispered in hushed tones, almost always in fear.

Paladin.

Personality: Finn has always been and will always be paranoid. It's in his nature. You would be too if you knew you had more than one target painted on your back. As he is a Bounty Hunter, he has come to be a sarcastic asshole, yet always truthful. It seems to be a fault of his. Contrary to what one might think about him, Finn is actually quite intelligent, as most Enhanced are engineered to be. As a SPARTAN he is not as intellectual as an ODIN, but he is quite smart. It is believed that his IQ is somewhere between 200 and 250.

Due to his past, Finn doesn't trust people when he first meets them until they can 'prove' themselves to him. How they do this is unknown, but if he suddenly hands you a gun and tells you to watch his back, you can consider him a friend. You should consider him an ally, at least. His enemies dont live long.

Finn detests those who are of the upper class and step on the lower. He has met few (very few) upper class people that do not spit on those below them but rather help them instead. Though he is a cold person, Finn does have a soft spot for beautiful women, children, outdated androids (who are running from being disassembled) and beautiful women.

He finds very little use for money beyond that which is practical: food, fuel, homes, repairs to his ship, etc. This being said, he is quite wealthy, though he doesn't flaunt his riches as those of the upper class do. If he can't find an immediate use for it, or even a theoretical use (in some cases) he sees no need in buying it.

Important Details/Identifying Characteristics/Notable Relationships: Finn stands at 5'10" and weighs about 180 pounds, most of which is muscle, due to an intense workout routine. He has black hair, tanned, dusky skin, and dark gold eyes.

On the right side of his neck, there is a small Omega symbol, which seems to be branded into his flesh so that it looks more like a scar than anything else. In addition to many other scars on his body, on the underside of his right forearm, there is another branding, this one quite obvious. It is made up of letters forming the word SPARTAN. Oddly enough, he does not have many scars on his face even though he refuses to wear a helmet in most situations.

One relationship of note is his mysterious relationship with a being calling themselves The Clairvoyant. Though the two rarely communicate and have never met face to face (Finn doesn't even know if they are male or female) The Clairvoyant will sometimes turn Finn onto large bounties that have 'mutual benefits' for the both of them. Though Finn is well aware that he can simply turn these leads down, he rarely does such a thing. From these, he usually gains status, equipment, and, of course, money. Tough he has never told The Clairvoyant anything about himself, they seem to know almost everything about Finn, even the fact that he is Paladin.

Appearance: One of the very few known images of Paladin can be seen to the right. Other known characteristics are that he has black hair, stands just under six feet tall, weighs just under 200 pounds, has tanned skin, and very distinctive, dark gold eyes.

Very very very interested in this! I was waiting for a sci-fi/cyberpunk roleplay as good as this one. I will create a character as soon as possible! I am already brainstorming!!

Name: Connor McKinley

Race: Human

Age: 20

Planet of Residence: Terra

Background: He was raised as part of a small time mafia family out on the mean streets of Terra. He got his replacements after a rather intense gunfight. He lost an eye, and his left arm and leg were severly damaged. When his limbs were replaced, he decided he needed to balance it out and replace the other two as well. It was around that time he discovered the marvels of (insert demon species here) testosterone.

Personality: He's calm and collected most of the time. Until he gets drugged up on the testosterone, which makes him rather short tempered.

Important Details/Identifying Characteristics/Notable Relationships: Basically had a computer installed into his brain. Has replaced many of his body parts, mostly arms and legs. (WIP)

Just needed to have something for my sake so I don't forget.

"It's my protocol... Or is it?"

Name:
AHFMP-002 (Augmented Human for Militaristic Purposes Model #002), given the nickname, "Adam."

Race:
Augmented/Synthetic Human

Age:
In Operating Condition for 8 Months, physical appearance of a 25 year old man.

Planet of Residence:
Currently residing in Terra, keeping a low profile.

Background:
Adam wasn't the first AHFMP, as the first one, started to malfunction and tried to kill it's handler, it was soon disassembled. They thought if they would make a fully synthetic militaristic human then it would want to kill and nothing of that. So they waited for something, like a disaster.

"I don't know what I was... I just know this... It's like they wiped it from me... Bastards."

Adam was human, fully human, before the accident. He didn't know what happened, could have been a bombing or a firefight, but he blacked out, possibly died. That's when they found him. He opened his eyes several weeks later. He looked around his room and noticed something wrong with his body. His arm was fully aluminum alloy arm with many facets that he would soon learn to know. His legs were also of the same material and replaced with synthetic parts. Practically most of his body was replaced with synthetic and android parts. As they were testing him, he actually gained human consciousness, by thinking like his human side, and pretended to go through the testing. He used this to escape and become an android fugitive. All they know is that he escaped their headquarters, they do not know if he fled the planet and went to another one, but they are on the search.

Personality:
Adam keeps to himself and talks to no one if he doesn't have to. But when he does, he puts on his best human impression, or his actual before accident impression, and tries his best to stay below the radar. Adam is a usually aggressive man due to his protocol, but he stays in the "cool" most of the time to stay out of their eyes.

Important Details:
Adam can practically change his appearance by augmenting the cells in his brain chip to change his physical, not actually it is just a sort of cloak, to make it seem he does not look like he actually does.

Identifying Characteristics:
His eyes are a very bright blue, almost white.

Notable Relationships:
He has no notable relationships, he stays to himself.

Hey, I vanished from this RP for a while, but I'm back now. It's still in it's introductory stage so I can take a few more characters. To get the gender ratio relatively even, they must be males at this point. If you're still interested, reply (preferably @ me to make sure I see it) or pm me and I'll get to you ASAP. Thanks!

Cut off will be soon so we don't get too many people in the RP so first come, first serve!

I'd like someone to play AIHA's scientist specifically still - They'll be the bestest buds!

Or, at least, a bestie who would
totally not be a love interest because I totally am not obsessed with romance
