I'd like to justify it by saying i was fighting for freedom or whatever, but in reality i was starting to enjoy it. So i said i needed a change, my C.O told me about this op out in the ocean, high danger security detail. It sounded like just what i needed, a chance to preserve life instead of take it. If i am being honest...i kinda miss the battlefield."

I need work, to put it bluntly. Real work, that challenges me in ways that nothing on the surface ever could. I had options in deep space, or even for a few moon projects... But here? Down in these dark depths? That's where the real mystery lies, and the machinery that keeps this place working is something of a miracle. We already understand astrophysics and the machines we need to travel the stars. But what about the murky mysteries that lay deeper than we've even explored? Someone has to find those, and when they do they'll need places like this made to house and investigate such secrets.
