Dubs walked into the duo's cozy apartment and locked the door. He was careful to do so every time he came in so as to make sure no one would walk in on Aia and scare her. In his hands, he held a load of groceries, most of which consisted of meat and things like soda and juice. They hardly ever bought veggies since Dubs didn't technically need human food... the perks of being a sentient computer. It was a double-edged sword at times, but he just enjoyed life as it came. He wasn't one to plan for every situation, but that didn't mean he didn't care what happened to people. In fact on the way home he had saved an old lady from being mugged.
"Aia! Where are you?" he called out once he went into the kitchen and started simmering a piece of steak. He knew she'd smell the food, so he wasn't worried. Once lunch was ready, he set the table and waited. He considered she might have been asleep, so he went over to the bedroom door and opened it. The scent of meat wafted inside and he went back to the table. He knew it was bad to startle her, so he never really tried to shake her awake anymore. Besides, she didn't have anywhere she needed to be... no job... carefree... he was a bit envious. Still...
~Beep beep... beep beep!~
What the... was that his communicator? He whipped it out. No... it wasn't his dad... It seemed to be a beacon and it was coming from the old site of Titan's Tower. The tower itself was decrepit and no longer functional, so that was odd... he shut off the alarm, assuming it was malfunctioning.
After their meal, the beeping started up again. No longer able to ignore it, he sighed, "Aia... I think we should check on the old Tower. Something's up... Wanna come with me?" he asked her after she swallowed the last of the massive steak he had made for her.

Darien passed a school of fish that was swimming by and smiled. Going back to looking at the coral in the bay of this part of the ocean, he continued picking up little shells and other such trinkets. a vibrating on his hip stopped him and he removed the device from his waist. The communicator was of atlantean design as the newest Auqaman had given it to him a while ago. seeing it was a becon not even two leagues away, he set of toward it more curious than concerned.
Hopefully he would be the only one there... humans didn't take very well to his resemblance to his father most of the time...
