Realistic or Modern TeacherxStudent

There wasn't much for Lucas to do at the school so he left the school grounds. He wasn't ready to go home quite yet so he ended up wandering the streets. He wasn't sure where he was going or even where he wanted to go. He just kept walking until he found a small cafe. With a shrug of his shoulders the student walked inside and ordered a coffee and sat down.

Jenifer slowly made her way down the busy street, planning to stop in to a small cafe and grab a cup, then head to the small shops that lined the streets, having nothing better to do.
She pushed open the door, the bell sounding and she made her way to the counter, before smiling warmly at the barista and greeting him in a friendly way. He smiled back and went to get her coffee, as she slid open her phone and leaned on the tall counters, waiting for her coffee.

He just sipped at the coffee he had and stared out the window. This place was nice, he'll probably come here more often. He heard the chime of the bell and instinctively looked towards the sound. He saw the teacher that's been on his every thought. He watched as she ordered a coffee and just waited, the young man stood up and walked over to the counter standing beside her "how'd you like your flowers?" He didn't look at her, he just sipped the coffee he brought with him with a smirk tugging at his lips.

She gasped when she saw him, then a grin stretched across her face. “I loved them. Thank you again,” she said gently, meeting the boys gaze.

Her coffee was finished, and she smiled warmly at the barista as she took her cup from him, their fingertips brushing momentarily. She blushed, and the barista grinned at her.

She turned back to Lucas, sipping from her coffee.

The boy went to speak but his eyes glanced over to the teacher and Barista. He watched as their fingers brushed and how the teacher blushed. He couldn't help but feel a bit of jealousy and he was surprised with himself. He wasn't sure why he felt jealousy. Instead he sipped his coffee and answered when she turned to him once more.

"It's no problem, I owed it to you after the trouble you went through for me."

She smiled, small dimples forming on her cheeks. "It was no trouble. I figured you were telling the truth.” She took another sip of her coffee, the hot liquid seeming to burn her insides and leave an enjoyable warmth behind.

Jen thought of the barista again, and looked over to him and smiled, and he returned it.
She’d have to ask for his name before she left.

Lucas shrugged "I don't really like lying" he said. He never lied, he never saw a point in lying. The hard truth was much better than a soft lie. He looked over and saw that she was looking at the Barista again and he rolled his eyes. "Does he catch your intrest" the student asked taking another sip from his coffee. He eyed her from the corner of his eye to see her reaction.

She frowned, worried that she’d made the younger boy upset. “He’s kind, is all.” she spoke softly, as if she had been in trouble or been scolded.

She wondered what he would think if she pursued the barista. But then again, why was she thinking like this? There was no reason to lie to Lucas, though she had anyways. She told herself it was to spare his feelings, but she knew it was something more.

The boy rolled his eyes again. He wasn't buying the lie, he finished his coffee and he sighed. It was actually pretty good, he wanted to be made at the Barista but he made good coffee and he couldn't be mad at the guy cause he found Miss Douglass attractive. She was a beautiful woman after all. He shook his head of those thoughts and checked the time, he still wasn't ready to head home yet so he still had to kill time.

"Welp I'll get out of your hair, tell me if love blossoms" he stood up and stuffed his hands in his pockets, he had his back to her so she wouldn't say his face. He didn't like the idea of her getting with someone else but its her life, besides he shouldn't be feeling like this, why did he care if she got with someone else or not?

Jen’s face fell as Lucas rolled his eyes and turned his back on her. She knew she shouldn’t have said anything.

She didn’t know why she felt so heartbroken when the boy turned away. She sniffled and replied with a quiet “Sure,” and hurried out of the store, wanting to get far away fast, her hair flying behind her. She turned left and headed into the nearest shop, breathing heavily and began to search around the store to try to get her mind off of what had happened.

Lucas was surprised to see the woman run out of the store. Did he upset her? Did he really care? The young man sighed and walked out of the cafe. He shouldn't care if she was upset, she was a grown woman and could take care of herself.

For some reason, everytime he thought of the teacher crying his chest hurt and he let out a groan of frustration. He noticed which store she ran into and he would have to aplogize again. Instead of just running inside he waited outside of the store. He could talk to her when she's done in there.

Jen smiled kindly at the store worker who had helped her find the perfect dress. A slim fitting, pale black dress was tonight’s choice, paired with thin, strappy heels that added an inch or two to her height. She had called her friends, and they planned to meet at a nearby bar soon enough.

The store worker helped her with her hair and makeup, feeling sympathetic for the girl who had rushed in, looking upset.

When Jen caught a glimpse of the boy out the window, she smirked. Thanking the woman, she strutted out of the store, her old clothes stuffed into her purse. She turned away from him, walking down the street to where her friends were waiting.

He was just standing outside, thinking about what he would say. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair and he heard the sound of heels hitting the cement. He looked over and saw the teacher wearing a dress that she definitely wasn't wearing before. It looked really nice on her.

The thing that bothered him though was that she just walked away from him. He thought he was quite noticeable unless... was she trying to make him jealous now? It looked like she was going to be going out, which meant she was probably going out for drinks or something, he's had alcohol before as well but he wasn't old enough to go into bars.

The boy sighed in defeat, he messed up and chuckled sadly and shrugged. Welp he couldn't do anything now. She was going to go out have some fun and probably meet a guy. He was too young for her anyways. That's when he stopped his thinking, did he seriously think he could get with her, did he really want to? He shook his head again, it was probably just hormones talking, he couldn't actually like the teacher... right?

Jen giggled, the alcohol burning her throat on its way down. A man had bought her a few drinks, though she could handle her tequila. Every time he touched her, all she though of was Lucas.

He was her student. She needed to stop thinking like this, right?

She sighed and hastily left the bar, needing a long, long nap after that crazy night.

The boy still hadn't gone home. He didn't want to deal with his parents right now so the young man had wandered to the park. He had been sitting on the bench thinking of Miss Douglass. He couldn't get her off his mind.

He heard some footsteps walk up to him and he saw two guys looking down at Lucas "yo kid, give us anything on ya and you won't get hurt." Lucas saw that the one guy had a knife and he sighed as he stood up slowly. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out his wallet he then threw the wallet up in the air and quickly punched the guy directly in front of him in the throat.

The man with the knife was quicker than Lucas thought. The man swung at Lucas and he was able to move but he did get a nasty cut along his left cheek. That angered the boy and he grabbed the man's arm and twisted it, he then slammed his palm into the man's elbow with as much force as he could, breaking the man's arms and making him drop the knife which Lucas caught. He then aimed the blade at the man who was still recovering from the throat punch "back of now" he growled. The two men then ran off.

Lucas stared at the knife and sighed, it was kind of a crappy knife. He then threw it to the side and picked up his wallet. He felt something trickle down his cheek snd he remembered he was cut. He felt the cut and sighed as he looked at his hand which now had his blood on it. His parents were going to be furious.

Jenifer lay awake in her bedroom, staring at the popcorn ceiling like they were stars. She felt a terrible pain in her head, and felt anxious. She wasn't sure why, but she groaned and turned for what felt for the fifteen thousandth time that night. She threw a tylenol in her mouth and swallowed, worried for the next Monday.

Lucas had made it to his home and was able to avoid his parents. He knew he would have to face them as some point but if he didn't have to now he wouldn't. He went into the bathroom and disinfected the cut and waited until it stopped bleeding. It looked bad but it wasn't bad enough for stitches.

The young man laid down in his bed and sighed looking up at his ceiling. This was going to be a pain, he could just skip classes but his parents would be even more on his case. He sighed and decided he would face the music and closed his eyes to sleep.
