Even if you don't have a tattoo, are there any that you're thinking of getting?


Just discussions of pretty pretty body art going on here.


Personally, I don't have any, and I doubt I ever will.


I increasingly have a desire for them, but I would want whatever I go with to be very important and not too cheesy while still being original (and of course I haven't figured out a single thing that falls under that category).


Who knows?


I would probably be a-okay with some sort of dragon sitting comfy on my shoulder.


Either I want a single, maybe large tattoo, or I want to go full out and get sleeves.


At the same time, I'm also terrified to find out I actually hate sleeves, and then it would be too late...

I don't have any yet, but I'm really wanting something moon-related (possibly phases on my inner arm), flower-related, or just a sternum tattoo of some sort!

Flowers are neat too, there's some really gorgeous art for them out there.

I'm thinking about getting a lantern tattoo. It's an important symbol for my college, and it would be really cool to get it either after I turn in my thesis, or after graduation. Not sure where to put it though . . .


I also really want to get a tattoo of Queen Anne's Lace--it was my grandmother's favorite flower, and I have fond memories of it. Maybe as a stylized compass-rose-shaped pattern on my shoulder blade?

I've never seen a lantern for a tattoo, so +1 originality (comparatively) and I think that has the potential to look really nice. o:

Size could probably impact positioning, come to think of it.

I really like that idea though, and the shoulder blade seems like a great place to put it!


How are you thinking it would be stylized into a compass rose, though?


Like, lacing around the circle of a compass rose, or...?

I'm not sure--a small one could be like a nice little nod (and cheap), but I also like the idea of having a big one in the nouveau art style, maybe with the motto too (I Delight in the Truth). And no, not really a mascot--it's an old tradition to give every new student their own lantern to light their way wherever they go.


I was thinking of the super ornate compass roses--they look more like rose windows, I guess. Just, symmetrical and so on. Maybe outlined in red (instead of black), with the red flowers you sometimes get in the center . . . But yeah, I remember this one time where my grandfather stopped the car and my sisters and I all got out to pick her a bouquet . . .

Hm... both of them could work.


Like, it was smaller, I could see it going like on your waist or something.


If you go big... that might be best occupying your lower back, or maybe shoulder area, in case you like to cluster things together when organizing them.

But yeah... it's probably ignorance and a lack of imagination on my part, but I'm having trouble picturing it with those small flowers...


I do really like that concept though. o:

I've always like tattoos, but I always felt like they're a thing that looks good on others but won't look well on me.


Anyway, I'm ganna wait for a few years before even considering a tattoo [i'm only 17]


My moms had a tattoo covered up twice now, I don't want to end up like that xD


Although her last tattoo is that coolest thing I've seen, sorry I don't have a picture to show.

To be fair though, that gives me more video game/dog/reptile money if I never end up getting on, so... lol


But yeah, definitely if you're going to get a tattoo, it should be something that you give a lot of thought to.


Like, seeeeeeeveral weeks, months or something, and if you're still married to the idea after that, then in all likelihood you'll keep loving it.

I'm not all that great about describing things xD


She got a tree, on her shoulder. Covering about a fourth of her arm.


A tree in itself isn't special, but her tattoo artist is pretty amazing


I'd take a picture of it, but I won't see her for another 6 weeks, sooooo

I have 5 tattoos.


Breast Cancer ribbon on my left arm I got when I turned 18 for my mom (10 year survivor now)


I have brass Knucks with "CTHC this is a family" It was about the hardcore music scene, my friends and I grew up in and it helped us escape from the world. Our friendship got stronger through the scene. We all have the brass knucks on us.


I have the number "1" tattooed on the back of my right arm. Bleach reference, Espada number haha.


Also have the triforce on the back of my right arm.


Last one is the strawhat pirate logo on my right forearm.


I'll be adding more soon.

Hahaha I am. Getting a Fairy Tail emblem on me soon, I also plan a ninja turtle tattoo as well. I want to start a cherry blossom tree going up my ribs and onto my arm and chest. Trying to plan my back piece too. haha xD they are addicting and I want more.


I'm glad my job doesn't matter if we have tattoos. I would never do my neck or face though. That is one thing I won't do.


The brass Knuckles? CTHC= Connecticut Hardcore, and This is a family. Made some amazing friends in there and it brought us close. We all were there for the same reason, for the love of music, and to escape life. The music scene I grew up in. Escape from school and bullying. I was in my element. Just going to a concert every week and seeing my friends, going crazy in the mosh pit, and just having a lot of fun.

I have a friend that all he ever draws is the Fairy Tail emblem.


He's going to get a tattoo of it unannounced some day and I will not be surprised.

haha no need to be sorry. No not on my knuckles themselves. it's on my right arm. But are brass knuckles. sorry about that. I would never get my hands tattooed..


That would be cool, but I'll have the tree and branches go carefully around my other ones and make it look good. Thanks for the idea =) haha I think I'll make some petals fall. Once I get to it. I'm an EMT.

Yeah getting it so close to the bones would freak me out so much... but at the same time getting a tattoo on my ankle would be pretty cool.


It was just something that popped into my mind, I won't be disappointed if you decide against it. xD

It takes awhile to do it but once done it is addicting and you'd want more. Start small if anything and add from there
