It was a normal day at Mario and Luigis humble home, and in the mushroom kingdom, no more exciting than any other day, however, in the koopa kingdom, a dark force made its’ way through the castle, right into the Kings’ throne room, now lying in wait for his eventual return.

Indeed. A normal day it was.

...Seemingly.

Unknowing to the residents of this kingdom, a dark force was present in the throne room. Where exactly did it come from? Hopefully the answer would come soon...

In the castle's courtyard, Bowser Jr. was tossing a ball in and the air and catching it . . . alone. Nothing unusual there. When Bowser wasn't home, he was quite the lonely little guy.

❝ Ugh . . . I wonder when Dad is comin' back . . . I can only throw this dumb ball so many - ❞

Just then, king koopa was stomping his way toward the castle's entrance. Speak of the devil!

Junior let out a cheerful gasp as he dropped his toy ball and rushed into his father's arms.

❝ PAAAPAAA ! You're back ! ❞

Bowser chuckled, nuzzling his son's cheek.

❝ That I am, my boy ! Got into anything today? ❞

Junior would basically explain how he did barely anything worth talking about . . . much to his father's dismay. He felt bad for always leaving his son alone. It seemed even Kamek didn't want much to do with the boy.

❝ Huh . . . Well, how about this ? I'll let ya' sit in my throne chair today ! How does that sound, son ? ❞

❝ ( GASP ! ) Y - Ya' really mean it, Papa ? Yaaay ! I'm gonna sit in the throne chair ! I'm gonna sit in the throne chair ~ ! ❞

And with that, Bowser carried his son to the castle's throne room . . .

Meanwhile

Mario and Luigi sat quietly at home when suddenly a knock came at the door. Luigi opened the door and standing on the other side was a small, white, round creature with cartoonish black facial features. The creature appeared to be distraught, “Mario! Luigi!” It spoke in a scared voice “You must hurry to the Koopa Kingdom, the world is in grave danger!”
