God's lonely man
The Storm.
Streets of Angel city are flooding and empty of traffic. As the storm rumbles and thrash with its mighty roars. The rain violently hits the concrete jungle of Angel City. In the mist of the streets a taxicab appears. The bright yellow cab lights up the darkness that shrouds it. In the driver seat is William. William unfazed by the storm. He drives around, stalking throughout the night. Waiting for someone to serve or someone in need of help. The lightning brightens up the sky, and the city goes dark. The only source of light is provided by William's taxicab. At that moment, his eyes light up yellow, sensing danger nearby. He just smiles. He'll pick up anybody in need of transportation. So, he continues on his journey.
It was a long night for William. nobody in sight for help. Driving through the six-inch-deep water. William was about to give up but his will to serve proved greater than giving up. William stares at a flicker of light. It was coming from a streetlight that was barely emitting light. Under a figure was noticeable. William smiled to himself. Exciting to see the person. He turns on his right-hand signal. His vehicle slows down and parks near the curb. All William could hear was the rain pounding on the roof of his car.
He patiently waits for this individual to do something. That's what he can only do for now.
William rolls down the window. He looks at the person. "Say do you need a ride for tonight. If so, come on and hop in the back" William smiles while waiting for the person's response.
"You'll catch a cold in this kind of rain. The rides free, so it's totally up for you to decide." William said.
