Steven Universe RP

It's been a month since Jet was found by the Crystal Gems, she was lost in the kindergarten, well more like trapped there. Ever since she was made there, she was trapped there, and usually got hurt once in a while by wandering around, causing her to regenerate from her gem and get more new looks. Since she didn't know how to use the warp pads, she couldn't warp anywhere to get herself out of the kindergarten. Luckily, lately she didn't have to retreat to her gem and regenerate, that would've sucked.

Currently, Jet was roaming around the beach in Beach City. She liked the view of the ocean and whenever the sun was setting, it was calming to watch, especially when she was stressed out about something. Sometimes battle would take here, making the gems have to fight them until they retreated to the gem, and Garnet would bubble them up and send them who knows where. Sighing, Jet sat down in the sand and crossed her looks, looking at the ocean view. There wasn't much to do after all, it was like having the day all to yourself, instead of fighting monsters and dealing with arguments.

Before he knew it, centuries had passed by Labradorite. He didn't think it would be so long, but Labrador had traveled across this world to find the strength he had sought for so long. He didn't think that he had hurt anyone when he had left, he would have been a burden to the Crystal Gems had he not left to become the man he is now. Or so he thought. He thought about Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, and Rose... How he would have always been the one that fell short every time... The fact that he had that much of a need to stand with them on equal ground clouded his mind.

It was time. He would come home. He had changed a lot since then, having adopted a new look from the things he had seen along the way. As he approached the familiar path, he noticed much had changed since his absence. An entire city stood before him, unlike anything he had expected. It didn't bother him or surprise him in any way, since the human race was growing much faster and becoming more advanced by the decade. He was fascinated by it. Stopping a ways into town, he took a brief look around, taking a glance at the new scenery around him. After being away for so long, it was a refreshing change.

As he looked around the place, occasionally stopping to talk happily with a few passersby, he noticed someone that stood out to him almost immediately upon approaching the edge of town. The gem on her shoulder made it obvious as to what she really was. A Crystal Gem? Curious, he thought about approaching, and did so without hesitation. Whoever this was, he wanted to know about why a Gem he had never seen before was sitting on the beach near what he now recognized as the temple. Taking light steps towards the female Gem, he soon ended up crouching beside her, watching the waves crash against the shore for a moment or two before speaking up.

"Hey." He stated simply, before turning his gaze to face her. He was now sure that he had caught her attention. "What's up?" A small smile greeted the stranger as he asked his question in a polite manner.

Jet closed her eyes, listening to the waves, pleased to hear that there were no monsters coming their way. The sounds of the waves crashing against the sand was canceled by a voice that she couldn't recall. Turning her head to where the gem was, she blinked for a second, taking in his appearance. His gem was a nice shade of blue, which matched the ocean, but not quite. The skin of the stranger was a light , dull color of green. She was confused for a second, because she thought that there were only 8 gems currently, including her.

"Oh, hey." Jet finally decided to speak, her mouth twitching to the side after. She rubbed her cheek and spoke again. "I'm fine, who are you? I only thought that there were 8 gems currently. 7 if you're counting the fusion that's stuck in the ocean." Chuckling nervously and rubbing the back of her head, she remembered the story that the Crystal Gems told her about Malachite, the fusion between Jasper and Lapis. Steven was the one that told her the most stories, since he was usually the most energetic one in the group, usually right next to Amethyst.

Fusion? Stuck in the ocean? Labrador must have missed out on quite a bit. Yellow Diamonds, maybe? It was only a matter of time before they came knocking down their door, anyway. Either that or the Crystal Gems he knew were working overtime. He returned his gaze to the ocean, rubbing a tooth that was only a part of his gem before settling down again. He might ask them about that later... "Yeah, about that..." He began, a somewhat anxious look on his face. He didn't know whether or not he should be excited about returning home, or brace for the worst. After all, he had practically vanished when he had left them.

His eyes reflected a brilliant shade of dark blue as he shifted his gaze to the gem once more, a look of hesitance clearly on his face. He took a second to take in the appearance of the gem that sat beside him. He noticed the gem on her shoulder was as black as the void, but it practically glowed in the sunlight as the light reflected off of it. Clearing his throat in a figurative manner, he spoke. "I left this place a really long time ago, so you really wouldn't have known about me. After all, we haven't met before." He only explained what he could in that one sentence. He could almost feel the awkward silence coming on, so he replaced his current look with a bright smile.

"But that was in the past, I'm here now. Name's Labradorite, what's yours?"

Jet's gaze returned to the ocean after she asked him who he was, but she didn't want to know why or how he got here. After all, it wasn't any of her business, and she never knew if it would be too personal to him or not. So, she just decided to not speak or ask the question on why or how he came here. When he spoke again, her gaze snapped back to him, seeing the anxious look that was on his face, so she could tell that he was probably nervous. Jet didn't blame him, though. She would've had the same feeling if she came back and had no idea what will happen.

When he cleared his throat and caught her attention from her train of thoughts, she looked at him, knowing that he would speak. "Yeah - I don't think we've meet before, either." She said smoothly and with a crooked smile. Jet wasn't the best at socializing at first, but when you get to know her she can be pretty outgoing. After Labradorite introduced himself and asked for her name, she told him. "My name is Jet." She said and grasped onto her wrist where her bandages were located, a small smile on her face.
