After the battle on the desert planet of Jakuu the Empire fractured even further leaving Imperial Center (Coruscant) completely open to attack
Admirial Ackbar brings in the pilots of Nova to start a campaign to take the Imperial Capital.
Each member of Nova was more than a pilot and had some other specialty. Anything from demolitions to espionage. And each of them were undesirable to any other squadron
If Nova can pull this off they'll be one step closer to ending this war
