Name
Spencer “Lemonade” Evans

Age
17

Flavor
Lemon (obviously)

Pronouns
He/him

Personality
A little sour (wink wink), but overall a pretty good guy. He doesn’t hate the Sweets like most Sours do, but he dreams of a future where all flavors can live together and be friends. Optimistic for a Sour, kind and caring. Some of his closest friends are different flavors from him, but he doesn’t mind at all. Open-minded and relatively friendly.

Background
Spencer grew up a bit strange. His mother was a Bread and his father a Sourdough, which made him part of both worlds. He knows his mother was imprisoned for having him and for loving his father, but that only made his resolve stronger. He snuck out many nights, beyond the borders of Sour City, to see the Sweets. Until one night, he was caught by a group of Pastries. He doesn’t talk about what happened that night, but people have caught glimpses of deep scars across his back and shoulders. Nevertheless, Spencer still strives for a peaceful future, having seen first hand what this “flavor-ism” can do to people. What it can do to families.

Favorite Color
Blue

Favorite Food
Lemon Cake

Aesthetic
Long nights by a fireplace, bruised knuckles, the smell of lemon cake, fatherly hugs, hiding behind long sleeves, body positivity

Theme Song
Little Bit of Love by JP Cooper

Family
Only his father, Max. His mother died in prison

Friends
Too many to count, but most aren’t close.

Faceclaim 7ac7a357206e69c67c79488482330b60.jpgName : Nella (Zeppy) Kammalime
Age: 17
Flavor: Pepper
Pronouns: She/Her
Personality:
Nella can be described by some as arrogant, to others aplomb, but to most she's just haughty. A selfloving girl who really just needs to learn how to keep her mouth shut sometimes. She has no shame of her actions to help out fellow sours, especially not towards the sweets. And she isn't seeing herself apologizing anytime soon. Even so she's real upbeat and an energetic go getter. Inspired by her mother, a lemon, to stand up for the sours against the stiff-necked forces of sweets. She's a hearty, loyal friend, a fun-loving person, but she's also a woman who takes no bull. Especially when it comes to sweets the opressing. Her opinion isn't easily swayed, she's assumptive, a back talker, cocky and a little misguided, but she has a good loyal heart.
Background:
Nella grew up very guarded for a good chunk of her childhood. She was always watched, by someone. No matter if it was her parents or their friends, she was never alone. And because she didn't attend a school, she would waste away the daylight by drawing for her constant company. She always had a love for the arts, partly because of her aunt, a dancer. She aspired to do something that would inspire others. Her father, being a lime would stay out long hours, helping to guard sour city. After changing shifts, she would imagine her father walking home. He'd be bruised and bloody-knuckled, with an enormous smile on his face. He'd keep onlookers in high spirits as he trotted home. Some say Nella's smile is just like his. Everytime he opened the door, he told his daughter to do good for other sours, just like him. And because her mother is a lemon, she sees her a little less often than preferred, but they still have a good bond. They'll usually see each other at rallies. Eventually, after her 13th birthday, her parents let up on the babysitting, but no school and no caretakers meant she could pretty much go wherever she wanted. And if the chance presented itself she always did. She never got in with a bad crowd, just some troublemakers a lot like her.

Extra:
Fav color: Lime Green
Fav food: Sour grapes (citrus)
AESTHETIC: Sunglasses inside, glowstick parties, TheNightlife, be·you·tiful

CHARACTER I

Name:

Rachel Miller

Age:
16

Flavor:
Pastry

Gender:
Female

Appearance:
She has very light skin. She has a round, oval shaped face overall. Her eyes are emerald green, her nose is small and straight, and she has thin lips, a nice smile with white clean teeth. Her hair is golden brown in color, and is slightly wavy. Her hair is quite long, reaching about halfway down her back, and always well-kept. Definitely the physical trait Rachel likes the most about herself. Her body shape is pretty average, she has her curves, but isn't a supermodel by any means. She has a slightly larger waist than she would like to, which she blames on her love for chocolate and all things sweet. Her skin is soft, and her fingernails are clean and shiny, but generally aren't painted in any strong colors. Rachel in general doesn't use a lot of make up, so her face generally keeps its natural appearance for the most part.

Personality:
Energetic and outgoing, Rachel tends to be very open-minded and optimistic. She's very friendly and cheerful, and tends to be open to making friends with just about anyone, despite her fathers not wanting her to make relations with anyone except candies, other pastries, and frostings. She tends to be rather talkative and energetic, but her more open-minded way of thinking frequently puts her at odds with her parents.

Background:
Rachel was born to a couple of Pastries that are well-known for being part of the social circles of many of the Candies in the area. Rachel is actually the second of two children, her older brother being five years older than her. Ever since she was a child, Rachel had grown up surrounded by the same kind of people her parents frequently interact with. She and her brother were both sent to private schools, and Rachel's friends were usually kids that had Pastry parents, or Candy parents. Her family did work with some Frostings as well.

However, Rachel had always been curious about the Sours. She had been taught by her parents and teachers to not interact with them, saying that she had a privileged social status and couldn't afford to be seen interacting with the lower class people. They told her to not even interact with Breads, despite them being sweets, since according to her parents and teachers, her place was among the higher class people. Her parents had always dreamed to her her to marry a Candy.

Rachel found herself a bit trapped. She was usually overprotected by her parents, and usually wasn't allowed to wander off on her own and do her own things. Living a generally sheltered life, they told her to avoid contact with the Sours at all cost. She never really understood the whole situation though, and one day she even saw one of the Sours arrive at the city she was living at. She witnessed through the window of her room how a group of Pastries caught him and went to punish him for sneaking into Sweet territory. That changed her view on things a bit. She sympathized with him, and started to study more about the relationship between Sweets and Sours. What she found out opened her eyes to the unfair treatment Sours got, and she decided that she wanted to be different. So while she does still hang out with the same social circle as usual, she sometimes sneaks away, disguising herself as a Sour to go explore what they live like, and make friends with some Sours. She hopes to one day find out how to end the division between both groups.

Favorite Color:
Yellow

Favorite Food:
Chocolate, and almost any dessert containing chocolate. Whether it's cookies, cakes, ice cream, or just chocolate itself, Rachel just can't get enough of it.

Aesthetic:
Sweet desserts, specially with chocolate in them, enjoying a nice talk with friends, exploring new places and meeting new people, trying new things, sunny days.

Theme:

Family:
Emily Miller (mother, age 44)
Joseph Miller (father, age 45)
Terrence Miller (older brother, age 21)

Friends:
Rachel's friends are split among two groups: her social circle among the Sweets, which mostly consists of Candies and Pastries, and the friends she has made among the Sours while disguising herself as one.

CHARACTER II

Name:

Jacob (Jack) Parker

Age:
17

Flavor:
Frosting

Gender:
Male

Appearance:
Jack has a light, though slightly tan skin tone. He has an oval-shaped face, His eyes are blue, and he has rather thick eyebrows. His nose is mostly average in size, not too big or small, and is generally symmetric and straight. He has shiny white teeth, and an average mouth and lips. His hair is black, and short. It has the tendency to stand up, so it can be a pain to get it to settle down without using some sort of gel. As for his body shape, Jack has an overall thick and sturdy body shape. He has broad shoulders, and his arms have some good muscle in them, though they don't look like a bodybuilder's. He has thick bones, giving him a heavier and thicker shape. His huge appetite doesn't help matters, but overall, while he's not thin by any means, he's been able to avoid becoming overweight. His slightly tanned skin tone is because of how much he likes to go outside to run, generally under the hot sun.

Personality:
Smart and charismatic, Jack never goes unnoticed by anyone. While he's just a Frosting, his social skills and charisma have led him to gain favor with many Pastries. He got this social prowess from his mother mostly, and Jack is always proud of who he is, not letting anyone or anything make him feel insecure or ashamed. He has a high level of confidence and self-esteem, sometimes bordering into overconfidence at times. It's no secret his ego can be quite big at times, but he never lets that distract him from what's important. He's charismatic and very good at getting along with people, so much that among his age, he's one of the most popular students. He has quite a big appetite, but a fast metabolism as well. However, one thing about him is that he generally doesn't like to think too much about his actions, he'd rather act on a whim and then pull himself out of trouble afterwards. This way of being sometimes gets him into trouble, as he follows his heart, and sometimes does short-sighted actions that bring him consequences he later has to deal with. He's a very supportive friend though, and known for his creativity and intelligence.

Background:
Jack's mom is a Frosting who has a boutique in the city named after her, a clever and determined businesswoman. His father is a Pastry that helped her get an investor for her business thanks to his contacts, and over the course of time being close associates, the two ended up falling in love and marrying each other. Jack is a single child, and grew up in an interesting position. While his father is the one from a higher class family, in reality it's his mom who tends to be the one that generally goes out there and gets things done most often. His father sometimes goes to business meetings and helps thanks to his vast number of social contacts he has access to, but in general it's Jack's mom that does most of the action to keep the business running.

Jack was sent to a private school, and his charisma and innate leadership skills quickly started to show since his first school years. He quickly made it to the top of the school's social hierarchy on his social skills alone, and frequently hanged out with the popular kids in school, even occasionally someone with Candy parents. However, he never became someone uptight and arrogant to belittle others. Something his mother taught him was to never look down on others. While his mom now was a successful businesswoman, her start had been a lot humbler, and growing up she went to a public school where there were mostly only Frostings and Breads. She even maintains friendships with some Breads today.

One of the many friends Jack made was Rachel, a Pastry whose parents are in the social circles of many Candies. Jack quickly became known as that guy who despite frequently hanging out with higher class folks, never looks down on lower class people and shows a generous heart to help whenever needed. His accepting and supportive attitude is what led Jack to be so far the only person Rachel has trusted her secret double life to.

Favorite Color:
Red

Pizza, and most italian foods like spaghetti and lasagna.

It Doesn't Matter by Tony Harnelll

Family:

CHARACTER III

Name:

Samantha (Sammy) Wood

Age:
17

Flavor:
Sourdough

Gender:
Female

Appearance:
Samantha has a light ivory tone of skin, and she has a few freckles on her cheeks. She has a long, oval-shaped face. Her eyes are hazel, and her nose is a bit large and upturned. Her lips are plump. She has straight dark brown hair, which is about shoulder-length, though she generally keeps it in a ponytail. As for her body shape, she has some noticeable curves, and while her waist isn't all that slim, she has a healthy weight, not overweight, but not very slim either. Average body shape overall.

Personality:
Honest and hardworking, Samantha has always been taught from childhood the importance of good principles and qualities like honesty, generosity and working hard. She's kind and supportive for the most part, generous to the greatest extent, despite her limited resources. She does her best to help those who need it, and is frequently considered among her friends group as the most reliable and dependable. Responsible and honest to the core, if she makes a promise, she'll always make sure to deliver on it, even if it causes her a lot of trouble. This comes back to haunt her because sometimes she just wants to help everyone, and ends up spreading herself too thin with trying to do too many things at once. She tends to be very mature and reasonable for her age, and frequently asks as a voice of reason due to her more down-to-earth peresonality.

She tends to be kind to all Sours in general with no prejudice towards any of them, but she harbors a great hatred towards Sweets, mostly passed down to her from her father, who is a Lime. She believes all Sweets think they're better than everyone else, and really dislikes them. Her greatest hatred is towards the Candies, but it extends to most Pastries and Frostings as well. She's a bit neutral towards Breads, though generally dislikes them if they ever show even the slightest sign of feelings of superiority. While she never acts on these thoughts, its something that's very noticeable in her. Her generally kind and caring smile quickly switches into an angry frown with just the mention of Candies, Pastries or Frostings.

Background:
Samantha's mom is a Sourdough who comes from a humble, working class family. Samantha's father is a Lime who is well-known in town for his hatred of the Sweets. He doesn't act on this, since he knows getting into direct trouble with the Sweets would be a terrible idea, but he nonetheless encourages people around to despise them like he does. Samantha's mom owns a bakery in town, and from a young age Samantha has always worked alongside her mom in the bakery. Her father sometimes joins in as well, but for the most part he has his own separate job as a security guard.

Samantha has learned kindness, generosity and hard working mostly from her mom, though her father also encourages the importance of hard work and determination. From a young age her father has also planted seeds of hatred in her towards Sweets. He would frequently tell her the tales of horrible things the Sweets had done to Sours before. His family had really suffered a lot due to the Sweets, and he carries on that hatred, spreading it over to his daughter Samantha.

Despite this, Samantha is mostly a good-hearted, loving person who made a lot of friends in town due to her kind, down-to-earth, humble and generous personality. In school many people would frequently come to her for advice, since they saw her as a mature and responsible person, someone very emotionally stable and down-to-earth that could give them good advice. Sometimes Samantha and her mom go to the countryside to visit some of their family that live there.

He/him

Personality
Max is the archetype for Sourdoughs. He can be stern, but he’s caring and gentle. Even raising a son on his own, he was always like this. Disciplining as a father should, but tending to scrapes and illnesses like a mother. Protective and loyal, he is almost a helicopter parent. Max still tries to give his son some room to breathe, because his child is the most important to him. A hopeless romantic,

Background
Maximilian Evans is not your ordinary Sour. Much like his son, Max has shown much curiosity towards the Sweets. He grew up in Bitter Town, poor like most. But it was the edge of town, and curiosity killed the cat. He found a girl by the town fence, a Bread, rejected by her friends. They soon became close, both being outsiders to their kind. Their friendship became something more. When they were both eighteen, the girl climbed the fence. They were married in Bitter Town Square, and soon they had a child. A beautiful Lemon boy. Then everything changed.

Name
Ellen Rose Terrance

Age
72

Flavor
Pastry

Pronouns
She/her

Personality
Equality, equality for all. Though she’s not as young as she used to be, Ellen has always wanted things to be equal. Due to her high standing as the daughter of a Candy, she was able to avoid banishment until she was too old to be properly tried (60 is the age limit for banishment in the Sweet capital). Kind to all that deserve it, and respectful in the same way. A prominent figure in her neighborhood, can be seen slipping lemon candies through the fence.

Background
Ellen Rose Terrance was born to two near-royalty figures in the Sweet Capital. Her father, a Candy, and her mother, a Pastry, were rich and powerful. But, the family was not immune to discrimination. She was often under scrutiny as a child, especially with her radical ideas. Ellen often met with Sour children at the fence, teaching them how to read and write. She slipped them sour candies and new clothes, along with stolen schoolbooks and pencils. But, when her mother died, all of it stopped. Her father wouldn’t allow her to leave the house, at the just-then-approaching age of 21. Ellen knew she still had to find a way to help the Sours. She became a voice for them, whispering in politicians ears to change laws against Sours. With her influence, quite a few laws were revoked. And with the death of her father, all the rules were replaced with worse ones. The very last one, made two months before she turned 60, scared her the most:

“If any Sour is found within the boundaries of Sweet territory, citizens have permission to harm them in any way they wish. No charges will be brought against a Sweet that injures, maims, or kills a Sour.”

Ellen knew she could still do something, but she didn’t know what.
