The Thundering Mustelid
World Lore
This world is a creation of many gods. In the beginning there were 4 gods Materia god of matter, ergo god of energy, Pi goddess of Space, and Tempera Goddess of time. These primordial deities built the universe and all that dwelt within it. Yet their life giving power was unstable and often would seep out of their creations giving life to Lesser gods wgo would create lesser life of their own. Universal gods gave birth to galactic gods, who in tern gave birth to stellar gods, planetary gods, and eventually the conceptual gods such as gods of seas, skies, or death.
Earth was one of These parts of creation that sprung a leak, this gave birth to Terra the First goddess of our world, with her there came Sol the god of the sun, and Rhei the goddess of the moon. The three were involved in a strange love triangle. Terra and Sol Gave birth to Son Wukong and The Sky God, whereas Sol and Rhei gave birth to Idris & Ra'zir. Though Son Wukong and Ra'Zir were raised on earth with Terra, The sky Deity was raised with Sol in the sun, and Idris was raised on the moon with his mother Rhei. This was until the moon was struck with a deadly asteriod from a deep space goddess named Nyx who was drawn in by Sol's light. Rhei was killed by the attack in an instant, both Terra and Sol rose in a rage to destroy Nyx, and while successful Terra was badly wounded. Terra began her hibernation to heal and Sol vowed to keep an eye on her children. A task that he ultimately failed in.
Sol encouraged the Children Of Rhei and Terra to create beings who would sing praises of the bravery and benevolence of Rhei and Terra. As such the Sky Deity and Ra'zir created humanity, practicing first with the life of he sea and then the birds of the air. Son Wukong was tasked with creating the beasts of the earth. however due to his trauma suffered from witnessing his mothers death first-hand Idris was deemed to unstable to aide in the creation. In response to this Idris channeled the power of cosmic death and created his own world, the underworld. This inadvertently cursed the whole of the world with the curse of death. From that day forward all things would inevitably die. Enraged at their brothers foolishness the Sky Deity, and Ra'zir cursed him to live in the underworld his only contact to be with the dead. Yet this was a temporary solution. Nearly 150,000 uears later they had to beg him for aide against an otherworldly being, Izekiel.
When the Grand Wizard appeared the first to meet him was Sol. He deemed the Strange being a threat to the creation he and his children had made and launched an attack against him. Yet the grand wizard was able to subdue him lulling him into a deep sleep that he has yet to awaken from.
The children of Sol banded together and came against the Grand wizard as well. But he managed to allow them to see past their anger and fear and see what he had to offer. Magic...
The Gods, Magic, and the Veil.
When the gods were able to see the power of magic exceeding even their own cosmic power they began to study this power and apply it to their creations. Rapidly the world developed, and change came quickly. With magic mortals were able to change and adapt to anything. Mystical variants of humans began to Emerge. Elves, orcs, Dwarves. But something strange came as well. Darkness began to whisper into the ears of all who were touched by magic, the most powerful were immune to he whispers but they were able to percieve the darkness rising and quickly began to blame Izekiel. He attempt to calm the situation but the tension continued to grow on both sides until Izekiel was forced to act. He created the Veil, and when this intervention was ill received and forces gathered against him he made his stand and on the verge of his doom he vowed to return when they needed him most. A vow that seemed validated by his soul never arriving in the underworld.
The past 500 years
Since the Veil rose the world has been divided into two layers seperated by the veil. Magic beings exist in a world that is a reflection of the human world, yet they cannot interact with the human world unless the human in question has magic of their own. Normal humans are wrapped in a barrier that is more powerful than any defensive spell ever made, they can walk through even the most powerful of attacks without even being aware that it was aimed at them. This same barrier prevents them from perceiving or making contact with anything that has magic. The only exception seems to be the Fallen knights whose ability to travel between both worlds gives them a remarkable edge. Magic beings can take a human form and interact with the human world but their magic is dropped to 1% making this a remarkably dangerous thing to do for almost everyone. The human world is governed by the Fallen knights. The Magic world is governed by the Ancients. It is believed that a massive change is about to occur as Sol has shown signs of his stirring.
