  Lindsey was born second in the Gilbert family, quite a few years after her older sister. In fact, Lindsey wasn't a planned child at all. Her parents were always extremely careful, but a simple mistake led to her mother getting pregnant with Lindsey. Though she wasn't planned, she definitely wasn't hated or anything of the sort. Her parents were happy to let yet another perfect child into their perfect life. Both of her parents had high paying jobs, her father being a surgeon and her mother being a lawyer and also a best selling novelist. They both expected grand things from their children.
  
  Lindsey's older sister Wendy really seemed perfect to Lindsey, especially as they were growing up. She got good grades, did all sorts of extracurriculars, and even had a fairly big group of friends and a killer social life. But what Lindsey didn't see at that age was the toll that being perfect took on Wendy. By the time she reached high school, she was just exhausted. She was tired of being perfect, and freshman year was the first year she rebelled. She chopped all of her hair off and dyed it neon green. Lindsey still remembered the screaming match that ensued when she made her appearance.
  
  But the rebelling just got worse. She pierced this, tattooed that. Started drinking and partying, and stopped caring about school. Lindsey didn't understand what was happening, as she was still young. The four years that Wendy was in high school were rough on everyone, and Lindsey still remembered the last time she saw Wendy. It was the night of graduation, after the ceremony and everything. The ceremony that their parents hadn't even gone to. Wendy had a duffel bag slung over her shoulder, and she stopped when she saw Lindsey in the hallway. Coming to kneel in front of her younger sister, Wendy grabbed Lindsey by the face. "Promise me you won't let them ruin you, too."
  
  Those were the last words Wendy spoke to Lindsey before she disappeared. Things were in turmoil for a few months, but then Lindsey's parents realized that with Lindsey, they had a second chance. So Lindsey became the next protégée, the last remaining chance the Gilberts had to carry on their perfect family. Lindsey grew up feeling all the same pressure that Wendy felt, and she finally understood how her sister felt and why she left. But Lindsey felt like she wasn't as brave as Wendy. She couldn't chop and dye her hair, get tattoos or piercings other than the allowed ones. Her grades were excellent, her social circle twice as big as Wendy's ever was.
  
  Senior year, Lindsey was approached to become a tutor, and that's how she met Ayden. At first, they butted heads like nobody's business. They couldn't agree on a thing, except the fact that they didn't want to do this. But Lindsey's pride wouldn't let her quit, so she forced herself to keep tutoring him. Who would have known that they would have actually fallen for each other? When the time came to actually go to college, though, she went against her parents wishes for the first time and missed the deadline for the application on purpose. Because she wanted to stay with Ayden. Her parents were pissed, and when she and Ayden broke up, Lindsey couldn't help but think she made the wrong decision.
  
  She ended up leaving for college the semester after, graduating early with her associates in general studies and moving on to work on her bachelors in psychology. Her plan is to become a doctor, but is that what she really wants? She signed up for the show on a whim, and was surprised as hell when she got in. Her parents still don't know.

Half of it is true, but most of it is a facade to make him seem more tough. He has trouble maintaining friends, having chased most of them away from his dangerous schemes and mean attitude. He has trouble reading other’s emotions, not quite understanding them. Deep down he is just a scared fearful man, who fears- more than anything- abandonment.

  Throughout his home life, he was a nobody. His parents wouldn’t even acknowledge his existence most of the time. Whenever they did, they would treat him like shit. He would manipulate, and steal to survive on his own. He first stole something when he was 9, his parents not leaving him money to buy the necessities. He continued to steal whenever he could. Theft became a common hobby of his, as well as pick-pocketing.
  
  As a recent adult, he didn’t change much. Although he did get better at lying and stealing, he is still very closed off. As soon as he could, he abandoned his “family” and lived with a junkie friend of his who could handle his mean attitude. He works as a part-time wood carver, also selling his wood carves in the same store. Other than that, he is trying at a singing career, running a somewhat popular YouTube channel. Quite a bit of cash comes from both. He is renting out his own apartment, now that he has the money for it. He would never, in a million years go back to his old family. He still is very reckless, venturing and even recording some of his adventures (those that are legal) on his YouTube channel, along with his singing.

Bio: There wasn’t anything particularly interesting about John’s family. His parents were both educated people with good jobs. They were distant but not cold, supportive but not caring. And they were absolutely terrible for each other. Despite otherwise being functional, rational human beings the two of them were at each others throats almost nonstop. It came to a head when John was ten and they did not go gentle into that good night. After months of screaming and fighting and threatening each other with lawyers they went their separate ways and John was begrudgingly shuttled between two homes, each time carrying another venomous message between his parents.
Splitting time between his parent’s places made it difficult for John to keep in touch with anyone so he retreated inward. He had a loose circle of friends, people he could go to movies with, boys he kissed and then stopped texting, parties he went to just to fell that vague fuzziness that only comes to a sixteen year old drunk off warm beer and stale menthols. He was liked but never popular and he didn’t care. School was for getting into a college as far away from home as possible. So he graduated top of his class and took off without looking back.
College was more of the same, just slightly more interesting people and better study material. He’s not sure what drew him to journalism. The potential for travel was nice and he’d always liked writing, when it turned out he was good at it he just ran with it. Then there was xxx. For a time it was nice and then it was over and he tries not to think about it much outside of that. He’d finally gotten a job at a real newspaper, not just pouring coffee and walking dogs, and he had to focus. That was enough for a long time.
Then came the layoffs. Print media isn’t what it’s used to be but it’s still last hired, first fired. He’s been spinning his wheels a bit since then, mostly freelance work while he sends out dozens of applications a week. The application to the show was more of a fluke. He’d had a couple drinks one night with a few journalist buddies and they got to talking about the application, which one of them had run across while job hunting. A few drinks later they’d all applied and no one was more shocked than John that he got accepted.​

Bio: She grew up in a poor family. Somehow she made it through the whirlwind known as school. She was helped by her boyfriend, and her older sister. She loved them oh so dearly.
