A freak.

Granted, that’s not the best nickname she has ever been referred to as. Although, a mistake through her mouth and now she’s known as the pregnant freak, which is relatively worse than the last nickname. Does Yuna regret it? Not really, she’s supposed to though. Although she does feel the remorseful emotion coming towards her as the loudspeaker calls her name as they call her to the principal’s office.

Com—complicated matters were never her forte, Yuna would like to avoid it as much as she would like to, but look where she is now. In a room full of angsty teenagers looking down on everyone and especially her, sneering and laughing as they whisper secretively to each other, well not discreet enough because she can hear every single word that comes out of their rotten mouth.

Weighing her options as she walks casually to the principal’s office, either she actually arrives at the office and gets a lecture about fucking his son and getting pregnant, or she jumps out of the window and tries to make a run out of it. Although it would most likely end up with Yuna breaking her leg, dumb idea and she would look even dumber putting the plan into action, so sucking up her disdain for getting caught in all of this shit, feigning an innocent act as she knocks on the principal’s door and enters the room.

Surprisingly, the principal was much more discreet in hiding his hatred for her, instead, he took it out on the poor son instead. She was given a blanket, hot mocha, and a comfortable place on his sofa as his son was forced to kneel on the cold stone floor. “You shouldn’t sit with legs up to your chest like that, it’s not good for the baby.” was that sarcastic? No one can know, the man’s voice is always set in a monotone pattern of speech so it’s best to assume that he was, well actually caring about the baby.

Although the next thing he does … ruin the entire impression Yuna had on him. As she casually sips on the mocha given to her, he sighed, running a hand through his balding hair “We’ll take care of the hospital bills, although you must sign this contract to keep away from my son 15 miles at all time.” Touche. It’s not like she wanted to keep the baby anyways. No! Yuna was much smarter than that, as she was signing all the paperwork and contract that was given to her, not that she even wanted anything to do with the guy anyway, he was just something she uses to pass time with.

As she was telling the principal about her plan of getting an abortion, all she got back was a weird look? No one knows, and she doesn’t want to stick around and figure out what that facial expression meant either. Hopping off the chair and out of the room immediately with no more words between them. The hard part is over now. Where will she get the money for an abortion though…

So she decided to leave home, it’s not permanently, Yuna will definitely come back, besides her sister is what, thirteen? Fourteen now? She can take care of herself. On the matter that is currently probably more urgent than her teenage sister, she did not plan out anything before leaving her house.

It’s not like she’s stressing about it either but Yuna does know one thing, that she probably should be worried. Yuna was never a heavy packer, and well, it’s not a very good idea to only bring a pajama set and a skateboard with her. And well there are also not many places that she can temporarily stay at due to her lack of friends and well, the principal’s son is definitely off-limits.

Whatever, Yuna needs a place to think, and everyone knows that cafes and coffee shops are both great for brainstorming up good ideas and napping, so she did! Propping her head slowly onto the soft material of her dress, as she slowly drifted into slumber.

The music blared through the speakers, sounding muffled through the walls of the club. The chatters of those waiting in line were drowned out by the crowd screaming inside.

Bomi stumbled to the roadside, feeling the rush of alcohol through her veins. Her sight blurred with the lights and her head pounding so hard that she swears she’s not getting out of bed tomorrow. Whatever, it’s not like she actually has a bed anyways.

She pulled out her cigarette pack from her pockets and took one stick before placing it between her lips. She lit it up and drew a breath, feeling the nicotine rush into her lungs. Bomi shoved the pack and lighter back into her pockets as she pulled the cigarette between her lips away, exhaling the smoke.

She continued smoking the stick, feeling the nicotine mix away with the alcohol, the high of both hitting her harder than before. She flicked the ash away from the tip of the cigarette bud as she turned around to face the club. Bomi watched the long queue of people with their breath visible due to the cold. She squinted her eyes at the girls wearing dresses that could barely cover their thighs and wondered, how are they not freezing in this weather?

And another giggly couple passing by her, they seem like high schoolers? Around Bomi's age at least, flirting and overly affectionate. The worst kind of couple in her opinion. Quietly putting out the burning cigarettes, as she packs up her things and leaves for the night. LIstening to another couple doing their thing isn’t something she wants to do right now.

Perhaps, it was the steady hum of the outdoors. the constant stream of sound that came from rustling trees and scurrying critters--but the night seemed too alive. Far too alive to simply close your eyes and ignore in a vain attempt to fall asleep and let your consciousness drift.

Besides. Sleep meant waking up again, back to the real cold world. She means that literally, shivering from the coldness on the bench, with a thin blanket draped over her. Nauseous with hunger and sleep deprivation, curse her past self for spending all the money on cigarettes.

At least she can deal with these types of mornings far better than the first few days she was on the street, god what a spoiled bitch Bomi really was. Considering herself too proud to beg, and she still stands by that now. But then again, perhaps begging might do her more work than being forced to stand in a convenience store and deal with those drunkards.

Turns out, she still has four thousand won left in her wallet. It’ll be enough for a cup of coffee. Right? Strolling down to the cheap little coffee shop down the road, and ordering herself a small cup of coffee, Bomi was satisfied. Temporarily.

There was a pretty girl laying on the coffee table right next to hers. It’s the girl from yesterday, seems a lot more distressed than yesterday that is; grouchy all over the table, a red streak under her eyes, but her face still remains as pretty as ever.

Plopping down to the latter’s table, Bomi decided to start up a conversation anyways, no need to waste time musing over the said girl “you sleepy?” it was a pretty obvious question, a great way to start a conversation though, in her opinion. Continuing her sentence, “I’ve never seen you here before, so I was curious. Did you run away from home?”
