Coran Selet
Deadshot(get the reference)

Coran watched as the Imperial Centurion sneaked past the bear, in his clunky armor no less. He was slightly impressed, though he would still never wear armor like that as it looked too... regimental and even a bit tacky to him. He took another deep breath, mostly to steady himself as he waited for a few more seconds.

He looked down at the Redguard, and then the jackal who was named 'Ubay.' It seemed like an extremely loyal and intelligent creature that would do anything its' master told him to. He watched the jackal bark at the bear, attempting to do as what its master had commanded him to. Coran noticed out of the corner of his eye that R'jeer was gone from his rock and was now on the prowl, following the jackal towards the bear and now stalking it, waiting, hungering for the bear to awaken.

The bear began to stir in its sleep as the jackal continued to bark at the large mammal. Finally, the bears eyes slowly opened and it slowly got out of its sleeping position, now on all fours looking at the Jackal. It let out a loud roar as it stood up on its hind legs before slamming them loudly and powerfully onto the ground.

The Grizzled Veteran took a deep breath for one last time, aiming right at the bears side away from the fatness that guarded the organs from the front. It wouldn't kill the bear, but it would injure it. He let go of the arrow, hearing it 'phizz' through the air and above the jackal's head, landing right in between two ribs, "Bingo." He cleared his throat, yelling into the cavern for the others that partook in the plan to do their part, "Now! Bosmer, Sassy Cat!" He looked down at the Redguard, "You too, kid."

When Coran yelled Skye attacked, stabbing a dagger into the bears hind legs. When she fought, everything else became much more alive, vivid. It was as if the world opened up for her when she killed. She didn't mind killing.

Because Skye didn't care.

With her other dagger Skye drove it just below the bears ribs and into a soft spot, making sure she stayed well behind the bear to avoid any injuries. Truthfully, Skye was secretly hoping the bear would get rid of a few members before they killed it.

The beast roared in pain from the arrow, but before it could react further Skye's daggers pierced his hide. The beast turned towards its back to see what hit him from behind. Seizing the opportunity, Ubay ran up and bit down hard on the bear's foreleg. Eliciting another deafening roar, it turned back to Ubay and swung its great paw at the jackal, but Ubay nimbly dodged and ran around to its flank that faced away from the oncoming attacks.

Azami gritted her teeth and ran towards the beast, pointing her staff and releasing her icy blast of wind towards the bear. Whether it be the thrill of her first real fight or the desire to protect her precious friend, the blast was particularly strong, ice beginning to coat the bear and undoubtedly seep into and numb him.

R'Jeer lunged at the beast, seeing the magic, dagger, and arrow hit it. Probably. But he still lunged either way, claws and teeth extended. He aimed for it's side, he was going to try and rip out its throat. After all, he needed to impress mate. So he was going to kill it the fastest yet bloodiest way he could.

Seeing the others sprung their plan of attack, she took action as well. Waiting for the mage to finish her attack, as she did not want to get hit, she jumped onto it's back, the cloak of Nocturnal breaking in a sudden spew of black whispy smoke. Digging her heels into the back of the ursine's head, she reached forward and hooked her middle and forefinger into's the beast's massive nostrils.
Wheeling herself back the poor beast gave out roars of discomfort. Extending her claws in it's nose, she tugged towards herself, tearing the delicate textured flesh before rolling off its back just before R'jeer attacked.
Smiling from under her mask she watched for a moment, tossing her blade back and forth between bloodied hands.

Ubay yelped as R'Jeer ran in for the kill, running towards the beast's back as it howled in pain from Ri'raji's attack. Ubay latched onto the beast's back leg, yanking and pulling to subdue him.

Azami kept her distance, watching sadly as the beast struggled she continued to pump her frost into his hide. Coming from a tribe who worships the Redguard god of wildlife, Azami grew up living alongside, helping, tending to, and respecting animals. Seeing this one in agony brought her great sadness.

When the bear howled in pain and his flesh tore gruesomely from Ri'raji's assault, tears welled in her eyes and Azami could bear it no longer. She put her staff down and the magic ceased, she ran away from the fight towards the cave wall on the opposite side of the cavern of the bear, sobbing quietly.

Ubay saw his master run, but stayed to fight. The jackal knew it had a job to do to protect his master.

Azami tried to tone out the bear's roars, but could only forget and then remember the dead bodies of the people in Helgen. She was so overwhelmed, a daughter of a peaceful tribe who never saw violence of this sort, that she could only crouch on the wet cave floor and sob.

Seeing as the bear was pretty much helpless, R'Jeer moved to end its suffering. He tried to bite directly into the spine, an instant kill if he'd succeed. But the bear was shaking, it was angry, and it was in pain. But R'Jeer had to try. And at the end of the day, he'd kill this bear. He'd rip out it's heart and offer it to his mate as a trophy, as well as some meat along with it. But he'd also take the skull, for his own trophy. He felt his teeth sink into the bear, and yet he wondered if he killed it. It did not matter, already he dug his claws into it's sides, ripping and tearing into any flesh that stood in his way. It's heart was for his mate. It's head, for him. He could feel his hands bloody, as he dug deeper into its side. The blood gushing in between his hand paws, his fur quickly staining with the beast's blood. The bear was trying to struggle, but it's suffering would end soon enough.

Coran Selet

Coran watched as the group fought surprisingly well together, he stroked his beard as each member did their part, and continued to fight. Even without orders they acted like a okay-oiled machine not a well-oiled machine but it could be a lot worse. Skye was the first to do her part, sticking her daggers into one of the hind legs before stabbing at a soft point between the ribs. She seemed a lot more... happy to say the least when the fighting began.

Next to attack was the Redguard mage, who ran forward with a bit of passion before releasing her spell onto the bear. It was an ice attack that would no doubt do some sort of harm to the bear. It wouldn't hurt him, as bears are pretty resistant to the cold, but it would definitely slow the beast down and cause a numbing pain. The Brute attacked next, aiming for the bear's side and trying to kill it as quickly as possible. The Khajiit was a ruthless killer, one that would do what it needed to do in order to appease his new found mate. He was a simple and primitive creature. One that was deadly and should be respected, from a distance of course.

Sassy Cat also joined into the fray, hoping onto the bears already bloody back. Coran simply watched at how she appeared, Invisibility spell? No... Ah... Maybe. He thought to himself, looking at the whispy black smoke emit off of her for a brief moment. The Female Khajiit had stuck her claws into the bear's nostrils and looked almost as if she was riding a bull. The Bear was angry, but more over it was frightened. It had been ganged up and attacked while it slumbered, and was at a severe disadvantage.

Coran simply sighed as he watched the beast roar in anger and discomfort. It was pitiful in his eyes and just plain sad to the normal person. He pulled out two arrows from his quiver and pulled them back, along with the string of his bow. They were pulled back to his cheek, and he let out a long sigh before releasing them. 'Phizz' and 'Fzoom' were the two sounds they made as they distanced themselves from each other. The arrows cut through the air before landing right into the bear's two eyes, perfectly in the middle of each one. They barely passed by Sassy Cat, as she was still on the bear's massive head. Coran was half hoping one would hit her, but knew neither would as he was aiming at her.

The bear slowly crumpled to the floor, letting out loud breaths as blood ran out of its mouth. Massive tongue sticking out to the side. It was alive, but just barely, "Go on and finish it, Big Guy." Coran yelled down at R'jeer before putting his bow back onto his back and towards the Redguard who was crouching and sobbing near one of the cave walls. He scratched his head and offered her a hand, his voice stern and commanding, but showed a hint of... understanding, "Come on, get up."

When the bear fell over R'Jeer saw the two arrows, and as Coran called out to him he knew what he had to do. He moved to slit its throat, in order to kill it faster. Upon doing so he then moved back to its body, proceeding to cut into the bear. He then found a part of what he was looking for. Some of the bear's meat, which he took and stuck in the bag Ri'Raji had given him earlier. He also took some fat, for anything really. He then dug around some more, finding what he thought was its liver. He also took that. And finally, he found what he was looking for. The bear's heart. It was still beating, but slowly. Very slowly. R'Jeer used his claws to cut the veins connected to it, and finally took it within his grasp. With its throat slit and heart taken, the bear soon died. The heart did not beat, and would hopefully not beat anytime soon. He moved over to his mate, and offered the heart to her.
"Mate get trophy, R'Jeer give heart. Mean love." He said with a soft smile towards her, watching for a reaction or any signs of dislike towards his gift.

Ren shook his head as he watched the battle before him, it was sloppy and poorly done. An efficient killer would kill the bear as quickly as possible with as little strikes as possible which was not the case here. The poor creature had suffered through it all and Renellius could wish it died with dignity but it didn't. Sighing he continued to lean against the cave wall, so much for all his sneaking around, it was for naught.
His eyes scanned the room as he looked at everyone who participated, a woman crying in the back, the feral kahjit who's got a lot to learn about killing quickly and what appeared to be jackal. Odd seeming a creature like that in a place like skyrim.

She was turned away from the dying bear and cleaning off her claws. Picking the bits of meat from underneath her claws, she pulled her mask down and licked the blood from them. It wasn't until that R'jeer spoke that she turned around with a claw in her mouth,"Mmm?" looking up at him a moment she looked down to his claws, her eyes widening slightly,"Oh wow." taking the heart tenderly in her palms she gave it a small shake, as if weighing it.

Looking at the flesh her face softened up and she smiled, her tail swishing happily around her ankles,"This is...really sweet. Thank you, tiger." going up to her tippytoes and touched noses with his, inhaling slowly.
Opening her eyes she smiled and held the heart up slightly,"Shall I cook this up later?" brushing her finger over the surface of the organ she chuckled quietly.

R'Jeer smiled towards her.
"Yes. Good cook. Have meat too. Liver too. Other things." He smiled to her, touching noses and moving to wrap his arms around her in a hug. He seemed happy, and tried to nuzzle up against her head if she'd allow it. Even if he'd get clawed he wanted to show his affection to her. He simply wished never to leave her.

As the bear's cries ceased, she looked up miserably at Coran. She looked away from him, seeing the Khajiits celebrate over the kill. But all she could think of were the lives lost today. Azami took his hand, starting to stand.

"Will my heart numb to this...?," she asked the older man softy.

Ubay released the bear, his muzzle stained red. Looking up at the Khajiits, he whined lowly, glancing at the kill and back at them. The jackal was hungry.

Motivational Speaker?

Coran helped the miserable girl up and took a deep breath through his nostrils. He looked her dead in the eyes before saying one thing, "This may hurt a bit." He immediately slapped the young girl without warning. The slap echoed through the cavern, most likely garnering the attention of everyone else. He looked at the girl, examining her face before bringing her in for a hug and explaining, "Yes, your heart will numb to this. You will have to get used to killing and fighting. Seeing those you care about or even those that you don't care about die. Especially in this harsh land of Skyrim. Fighting is key here, to survive you must get used to it. To Save you must get used to it." Coran let out a heavy sigh, he was a killer and a ruthless one at that. He was so used to killing that it didn't even phase him one bit, but it took time and experience to get to that point. He thought it best to at least try and comfort the young girl, but he was most likely doing a crap job.

"Killing and fighting obviously is something you aren't used to. Killing is an art, and has many forms."
Coran said in a calming tone trying his best to comfort her, "You don't have to kill for the fun of it like some or to make money like others. Instead, do it to defend yourself and those you care about. Do it for what you see as right. Kill and fight for what your morals and ideals say. Don't let your fear hold you down, because if you do it will cause you to become some troll's meal or a bandit's victim. Killing is a necessary evil, but you can use it for what you deem is a just cause. It won't be easy, but you can overcome this fear." He finished his pep talk and walked away from the girl, hoping it would help her somewhat. Coran wasn't the best with emotions, especially other peoples, but he thought it best to warn the girl that fighting and killing is a necessary evil, but you can use it for just causes. He was not a hugger and typically this caring, but he would rather not see some young girl get killed due to her fear of taking life.

Coran eyed the two Khajiit, nodding at them before walking towards the Imperial Centurion, "Let us get going. The bear is dead and we still need to get out of here. I'd rather not be eaten by the Brute or have my pockets ran through by one of the others."

Too shocked to move, Azami's cheek burned, her body numb with surprise as tears streamed down her face as Coren pulled her close.

Ubay snarled as her saw his master's face snap to the side, running with lethal intent towards the Breton. But Azami put up her hand at the jackal behind Coran's back, ordering him to stop. Ubay stopped in his tracks, baring his teeth still.

Azami remained silent as he talked, and when he released her, she silently picked up her staff and attached it to her back. She quietly walked towards where the cave led out, her mind too clouded for words.

Ubay slinked behind his master, not taking his eyes off Coran as he followed distraught Azami.

Tensing as he went and wrapped his arms around her, her claws dug slightly into the meaty heart and her eyes went wide. She wasn't terribly used to hugs. With her arms sandwiched between their chests, she was unable to return the gesture once she relaxed, her eyes closing and a content sigh coming from her nose.

/He reeks of death and old meat. He needs a bath./
Pulling away from the embrace she smiled and touched his cheek with admiration,"C'mon big guy, lets go." she purred.

Turning to the rest of everyone else she exhaled, grabbing one of R'jeer's massive fingers and led him towards the light of the outside world.

R'Jeer nodded to his mate, following her as he gave off a slight purr as well.
"Mate go R'Jeer home?" He asked, tilting his head slightly as he looked down to her as the light became brighter. He walked on out to the outside world. He seemed happy, as he pointed to the west, towards Falkreath.
"R'Jeer home close! Mate want go R'Jeer home? R'Jeer home good." He said with a smile towards her, attempting to brush up against her side if she'd allow him.

Looking to R'Jeer she smiled and shrugged,"Maybe we should tell someone about this dragon thing before we go home." looking at the others she exhaled slowly and stuck the heart in the bag of meat that the male had.

As the battle with the bear went on, the two dark elves watched in horror. They weren't giving the animal a swift death, but a drawn out and brutal one. It hurt to hear the saddening howls of the beast, but continued forward as the rest of their companions took care of it. The dark elves made their way outside the cave quickly. Milnsi and Meveds walked outside of the cavern, the bright light blinding them for a good few seconds. Elene followed, but farther behind. As their eyes adjusted, they sky was a bright orange hue. It was nearly dusk. The three of them waited for the others to exit the cave as well.

Azami sat outside the cave, glancing over and looking away in disgust as the female Khajiit shoved the bear's heart into a bag.

"Show some respect to the beast that gave its life for you," she said, disgust thick in her voice to her.

As the elves came out of the cave, she looked over at them from her spot on the ground."The holds need to be warned. We should depart for the heart of Skyrim...I believe you all call it Whiterun," she muttered.

Ubay sensed his master's sadness and discomfort. Pressing his body close to her, he waited patiently.

Coran looked around as the group slowly began to exit the cave. It was nearly dusk, and was slightly chilly. The old man looked around, they probably weren't that far from Riverwood and should get there before nightfall. Hopefully they would reach the Inn and then they would all go their separate ways the next day.

The grizzled bastard found a nice sturdy tree to lean against and watched the group, seeing the two Khajiit's speak and Azami be disgusted at the female one who had the bear's heart. He merely stayed silent and watched the young Redguard direct a comment towards the Khajiit.

"I agree. If anything we should be able to arrive there tomorrow morning. At the latest. Possibly tonight. We should think about staying in Riverwood for the night." Coran said stubbornly as he agreed with Azami. The girl was sad and most likely a dozen other emotions, but he was glad to see that she could at least make level-headed decisions. As much as Coran wanted to get away from this group, the holds needed to be warned about the Dragon and what happened at Helgen.

Sarkesh

It had been an alright day for the Argonian. No one had made racist comments, the food at the Inn was pleasant, and he had finally gone to the blacksmith Alvor to have his sword sharpened. But now came the actual fun part. He'd learnt of a cave not too far away from Riverwood, where a bear had taken up residence. Bear pelts sold for a pretty Septim and Sarkesh wanted to have a little more spending money for when he went back to Whiterun. He'd promised a little homeless girl there that he would buy her some clothes and food. Originally, Sarkesh wanted to adopt her, but the life of an adventurer is not a good way to raise a child. So food, clothes, and a bribe to the Battle-born clan (they had agree to take her in as their own) would be how he helped her. The sound of a twig snapping beneath his feet brought his exposition to an end, and the Argonian readied himself to fight the beast. "I wonder what color dress she likes? Blue, perhaps? I hear red is nice this time of year. Oh, but what to have it made of? Cloth? Velvet? You know what, I'll ask once I see her again." He drew his blade and slowly walked up the path. The path ended, and near where the cave opened up stood a small group of....people. Okay, so maybe descriptions weren't Sarkesh's forte, but it was certainly the strangest gathering he'd ever seen. He cleared his throat, and shouted over to them, "So like, are you guys in a cult? Please don't try to kill me, I'd hate to die before I get the bear's pelt. Oh! How about I go kill it, skin it, then you can kill me! Of course, you will need to go finish this little quest I started, but it shouldn't be too hard or out of your way!"
