Sins of the Fathers

A half forgotten song
with @Anakin

As children of super humans they carry much more than just their parents genes. Burdened with great responsibility and at opposite ends of the good/evil spectrum, two people meet and try and discover if they can move past their parent's shadows.

"You'll have a better life there. Don't worry about us. We'll be together again, someday..."

The rush of space and time closed around him so he couldn't breath. This was the longest jump he'd ever attempted and all he had to focus himself, and ground himself were those words, and an old memory.

He was careening out of control, as his power fluctuated with his emotions, so he had to keep from crying, from feeling lonesome, all the normal emotions you would feel after saying goodbye to your parents, and he had to focus on just making it to Earth.

As the pressure lessened all around him he just managed to open his eyes to see the edge of a building. He clipped the side of it, as he came flying out of the x-shaped portal in the sky and crashed landed in a garden, a smoking crater surrounding him. He groaned, exhausted from his journey and ready to just curl up and fall asleep in the soft upturned dirt.

Ana ran her slender fingers through the strands of her pin straight hair, groaning as she looked up, green eyes flicking over the popcorn ceiling in silent judgement. Whoever decided it was the 'in' thing of the time was definitely stupid. She rolled out of bed, hitting the floor with an umph! As her blankets tumbled down on her. Drowning in linens, she threw her arms up, sending the multitude of blankets flying upwards back to her bed.

Snorting, she pushed herself up and yawned, ruffling her already messy hair. Luckily her roommate was already out, unable to see Ana in her preposterous state.

Trudging to the kitchen, Ana hastily made a breakfast muffin, then plopped down on a worn couch and flipped on the TV.

Another boring day in the life of Ms. Wilson. She flipped through the channels aimlessly, noisily munching her breakfast.

If only the dolts around her knew she was daughter of two notorious people. People she hated, in fact. Wade and Ophelia were far from good parents.

Of course, despite that, Ana was still tempted to follow the path her mother had. A villainess. It sounded dangerous and delightful to her. However she hadn't started her career as a villain yet, nor did she know the extent of her powers.

Settling into the smoking crater Salvador began to feel the first inklings of his connection to this Earth. His energy was depleted so he could just make out a melodious power seeping into him from the soft dirt. The Earth was singing to him, and calling his name. She was welcoming him.

He had only ever felt the Mojoworld's chaotic and nearly dead crust beneath his feet. This was so different and alive. If he were anymore rested he may just cause an Earthquake from delight, his seismic powers wanting to sing back to the Earth. Instead he emanated a soft rumbling that to any normal human it would seem like a semi-truck passing by or a long string of train cars.

But his joy was cut short by his second thought; he had nowhere to go. His fathers hadn't really outlined a plan other then search for the nearest X-men establishment and avoid the Avengers, but he didn't know the first thing about how to even find X-men. He had no connections on this world having been born years in the future and in a different dimension to this one altogether.

All he had was a warning. His fathers had told him that something was going to happen to the earth. A cataclysmic event beginning in its very core. That's why he had been born. They had cloned him from his father, the seismic mutant Julio Richtor, with the help of his partner Shatterstar, for the sole purpose of sending him to Earth and stopping this event from happening. His fathers were busy stopping a similar event from destroying the mojoworld, so here he was without them. Without the two most important people in his life.

Salvador crawled out of the crater standing on uncertain legs, the sky having lightened considerably as he had laid there recovering. He had to save the Earth, but where to begin?
