There are many legends of old Scandinavia, but none so intriguing as the that of the Runes Of Odin. A fabulous treasure of silver and diamonds said to equal that of the wealth of a hundred Norse kings. The Runes are said to be hidden on the Vanishing Isle, a lost and frozen island at the top of the world. Frode Evanson, a notorious tenth century Viking, went in search of the lost treasure and is rumored to have found it. He filled his three ships to capacity with a cache of diamonds and silver, but even that was only a fraction of the mind boggling wealth contained within The Runes Of Odin. Shortly after departing, The Vanishing Isle once again sank beneath the waves and Frode was never able to find it again. In his later years, Frode became a generous and kindly old man, and gifted parts of his acquired treasure to poor families in his native Scandinavia. Before he died, Frode forged two legendary bells out of some of the silver he had found from the treasure. Within the bells, he was said to have inscribed the exact location of where he last found The Vanishing Isle. After that he hid the bells in an undisclosed location. One of his grandsons, inscribed a parchment, supposedly detailing exactly where Frode had hidden his bells, now called The Winter Chimes. The parchment was passed down through the generations, exchanging many hands. One of Frode's descendants, a man named Ray Evans, acquired his family's antique parchment and went in search of his ancestor's Winter Chimes, but failed to find them. In his search, the parchment was stolen and destroyed and in order for the information not to be lost forever, Ray decided to compose a song where he would encode the clues contained in the parchment, to be deciphered so that someone down the line could find Frode's Winter Chimes and in turn once again locate The Vanishing Isle. This song, which he would fittingly name "Silver Bells" would become a holiday classic and an icon of the Christmas season. But what few people know is that this innocuous and cheerful Christmas song, contains clues to a lost Viking treasure and a forgotten sunken continent hidden somewhere in the North Pole. Will you follow the clues?
