Fantasy Silence Among The Roses

"Mines Anthony, nice to meet ya." I say, feeling something nudging my arm. I look down to investigate and see a pigmy dragon nosing me gently."Little thing must've seen me fall." I laugh and turn back to Wolfe. "So, are you heading to the festival?"

@sitanomoto @XxLuluxX

"Yes. Im riding out tomorrow, its a short ride. So i thought it would be best to rest up before i headed on." He said, sitting down once more and sipping on his ale. "I think its what most of us are here for anyway. Certainly knights." He added, leaning back in his chair and observing the boy a moment, with his molten amber gaze.

The dragon flew up and landed on my shoulder. "Wow, this Pygmy must really like me." I say laughing. I turn back to Wolfe. "Anyway, I'm heading there too. I was tasked with some sort of investigation by a professor at the College. So your a knight?"

He nodded "Sir Bennett Wolfe. Its a pleasure" he said, finishing off his tankard with a swig, and putting it down with a heavy hand. He rubbed his rugged chin and looked toward him "So i suppose you're an academic of some sorts?" He questioned, with a tilt of hos head in question of the young man. @JVSbeast

"Well, I'm really just an adventurer who fights as a spellsword." I respond, lighting a fire in my hand and showing him my sword. "I just learned magic at the College. I'll never be a boring guy who just studies all day. I like to travel and explore."

@XxLuluxX

"Ah, a reason i became a soldier. Visiting new places, fighting alongside your brothers in arms... Not what its made out to be, i can tell you" he nodded. "Never been big on magic myself either, don't trust the stuff." He added, his eyes seeming to lighten a tone, almost a golden.

"Yeah." I say nodding. "Magic for me just comes easily though. I was left deep in the forest as a baby, and the creatures taught me magic from a young age. Its pointless to not use an awesome talent."

@XxLuluxX

"My story... Is not one i share very easily. Lets just put it as... I became disowned" he said, and stood up. His hand as always resting cautiously on the hilt of his sword. "I should hope to see you at the festivities in one piece" His lips curving into a handsome smirk, highlighting his features.

"Wow." I say, astonished. I stand up as well, noticing that the man is much taller than me. The Pygmy stays on my shoulder. "I hope to see you as well Wolfe. I wonder where that damn chicken went." I laugh as I use a Detect spell to find it. "Ha! It went back to the farm without me."

@XxLuluxX @sitanomoto

"Certainly some luck you have there lad" he laughed lightly, he ran a hand through his tousled hair, and yawned. "Its been a long day of riding. I hope you don't mind, but I'd rather retire to my bed early. I suppose we shall meet again at the festival. I look forward to it" he said with a slight smile tugging his lips. He looked at the pygmy dragon and nudged its chin fondly. "Its taken a shine to you it seems" he chuckled, and turned away to leave.

@JVSbeast @sitanomoto

"See you at the festival." I say as he turns. I turn and start walking back to the farm, twisting the ring around my finger nervously. I glance at the Pygmy on my shoulder and scratch under its chin. I walk down the hill and approach the barn. "Hello? Farmer?" I call loudly.

"Hello kind adventurer. I see that the last chicken made its way back here by itself." He chuckles happily. "Thank you for all your hard work." He hands me a pouch filled with 50 gold coins.

"Thank you sir!" I shake his hand and turn around. I summon my horse familiar with a spell and ride it down the side of the barn. Soon enough, I'm back at my forest cottage. The Pygmy's tummy growls as we walk in."You hungry little guy?" I ask happily. I feed him some leftover carrots and chicken.I walk outside and sit down in the rocking chair on my front porch. I look up at the sunset and sip my green tea, listening to the nighttime buzz of the crickets.

He stripped off his armour, lying down on the soft mattress, and let out a contented sigh. It had been ages since he'd lain in a real bed. With that he turned over, and closed his eyes. Praying that tonight...Just tonight...He'd be allowed to escape the torment of his nightmares.

-The Next Morning-

I wake up at dawn to the morning calls of the forest birds. throwing off the sheets, I head to the closet to get ready for the festival. I throw on my emerald green undershirt and put on some light leather armor after. I strap my scabbard to my back and head out the door.

-The Next Morning-

Bennett awoke with a gasp, covered in a sheen of cold sweat. It happened again. The nightmares. Would they never end?! He let his breath catch up, and swung his legs over the side of the bed getting up. He shook his head, and walked over to the water basin, splashing his face and washing. He pulled on his underclothes, then strapped on the armour, sheathing his steel sword. "Gods sake" he muttered, rubbing his face.

the queen entered her carriage with a case filled with contracts and proposals,

she sat down and the carriage along with the escort began to move.

the queen took out a golden case from under the seat.

she opened it slowly inside was one of the magical roses

"all the preparations are complete .......perfect"

About ten minutes later, I'm walking along the main forest road when I hear a loud growl behind me. I turn around and see a pack of Savage Wolves. They walk closer to me, foaming at the mouth. "I literally just woke up and I already have to fight." I sigh to myself. I draw my sword and create flames in my hand.

He quickly paid his tab at the inn, taking a bite out some bread and hurrying off. It wouldn't do good to be late. With that, he jogged out to the stables, chucking the boy a small pouch of coins. "Spend it wisely lad" he nodded, jumping up into the saddle of his horse. Checking first his supplies were strapped down, before setting off at a fast trot, exiting the city. He grinned, as soon as he left the gates and spurred the horse into gallop. The wind whipping his hair. He stood up in his saddle "YAH!" he shouted, pulling on the steeds reigns.

(Human form) Kate leapt from tree to tree, stopping to rest on a large branch. She sighed and sat and swung her legs, letting them dangle over the branch. The attempted assassination of the Prince a night or so before had failed. Whatever, I'll just kill the next idiot that wanders along this path. There should be plenty, considering the Festival is almost here. She thought, gazing around the forest that led to the palace.
