Hi all! You can call me Maneki! I'm a girl in my 20's and I loooove shonen tropes! Here are some facts about me and my roleplaying style before I get into my interests:
- I am currently not interested in playing with or as canon characters from any fandoms. Sorry!
- I love to play multiple characters, but I don't require my partner to do the same!
- Likewise, I also tend to type lengthier posts and I also don't expect my partner to match my length! So long as you give me something to respond to and some good colorful description, I'm a happy possum!
- I prefer hetero relationships but I don't mind a // character or two. I play both genders happily! If you want me to play only male or only female, I can do that!
- I'm not on at all times. I am sporadically afk doing things like walking my dog, exercising, cooking, and working, but I do most of it from home! I should be able to get a post out a day or more if I have the freedom!
- I'm ditch friendly. Not feeling what we've got? I won't make you stay.
- I dislike medieval settings. Sorry if that's what you're into!
Now for the things I tend to like...
- Harems! I love to do harems or reverse harems! I like these in lots of settings: stowaway on a space pirate ship? Last man on Earth thinks he's alone until running into several women or vice versa? A girl with a special power being escorted by a team of warriors? Idk, let's bounce ideas back and forth if you like this trope!
- Rag tag groups! I love to add characters to a main crew through mini arcs. Think YYH, DBZ, Naruto, etc! Even if you only want to play one or two characters, I'm happy filling out a cast!
- RIVALRIES! My favorite trope! Let's have lots of conflict and relationship webs!
There are more and I'll likely add to that list as time goes on, but those are the tropes that come to mind when I think of my favorites! I'm also happy to use fandoms as a skeleton to build upon. I love to do AU's of some of my favorite anime, so here are some I'd be willing to restructure with our own characters or borrow ideas from:
- Naruto! I'd love to do a Naruto AU starting with our own new teams and maybe even a new village. This is kinda bold so no worries if you would prefer to start in a pre-established village! These depend a lot on the character dynamics to plot, so get at me if this interests you!
- Katekyoushi Hitman: Reborn! It's an oldie but a goodie. I'd love to start with the characters finding their family and then introducing a villain or villainous group. For example, we would each start with one character apiece and then have the main character essentially recruit the rest of the crew, then go into a bigger arc. I LOVE this framework so I'd be willing to take on the challenge!
- Yu Yu Hakusho. My favorite anime of all time. I have a few ideas for this one. I'd either like to start from scratch with a new detective, new sidekicks, and new villains (and I could probably aid in making a good conflict for them), or we could go another route and just use their power system. I had one idea that would take place hundreds of years in the future where the demon world barrier had broken down, but I can explain that in more depth if it sounds like fun! Trust me though, it's kind of a doozy, so no worries if you'd rather go vanilla and make a new cast!
- Inuyasha. So I haven't done an Inuyasha roleplay in literally over a decade but I just love the world. We could just borrow the world and plot but insert our own characters. The feudal thing just rustles my jimmies.
- Gurren Lagann. I've never tried a GL AU but I'm willing! Mechs are too cool and I love how TTGL gave so much more focus to the characters than the battles themselves. If you have any ideas regarding this, I'd love to try.
