"Alright, thanks."
Spoke the brown eyed male as he hung up the call. It was 2 a.m in the morning and Oliver had just gotten home after having to do another paranormal investigation. Him and his crew had a good time documenting all of the hauntings that happened at an old historical building. Though, it was quite boring since, there weren't any demonic entities. Something that Oliver would love to communicate with especially even though his crew might say otherwise.
Closing the front door, he quickly took off his shoes and walked up to the second bedroom where his nephew would be sleeping. He turned the knob and gently pushed the door, making enough gap to poke his head in. A smile quickly appeared on his face as he saw his nephew sleeping peacefully in his room that once was Oliver's since the kid was growing up and he always wanted to have his own room and so Oliver gave his. Personally, Oliver would sleep on the couch but his sister seemed rather more content with him sharing the bed with her. Like old times in which was a bit weird. But then again it wasn't as much, knowing their past having to share a bedroom most of the time. Nevertheless, he was kind of exhausted from being up all night. He proceeded to step into the master bedroom and found his sister asleep on the other side of the bed. She seemed exhausted judging by the dark circles under her eyes. She probably had to work overtime back home. With that in mind, Oliver only took his jacket off and sat down on the empty side of the bed while he poured a glass of water from the pitch and searched for a bottle of pills before grabbing one piece out of it. He went to pop that pill into his mouth before taking a couple of swigs from the glass. After cleaning up, he went to lie down on the bed with his back against the mattress. While idly staring onto the white ceiling, Oliver heard a sudden burst of snore coming from his side where his sister was. Tilting his head to the source, a small smile was formed on his face as he went to toss and turn. "Good night." Oliver murmured as he had his back facing her before closing his eyes.
A sudden ruckus caused Oliver to wake up in an alarmed state. He quickly opened his eyes back up. The ruckus was pretty distant and when he looked at the alarm clock that was on his table, he found out that he had just managed to sleep for at least an hour or so. With that in mind, he wondered what the ruckus was all about. Perhaps, there was an intruder? He personally hoped that it wouldn't be the cause at all. Knowing that, Oliver went to grab his gun over inside the drawer before heading out. When he did got out, he kept his steps silence and light considering he didn't want to alarm whoever that was causing the ruckus earlier. It wasn't that hard for him to look through the dark. But as he marched over to the kitchen, he felt that he was getting closer to the source while he tightened his grip around the gun. However, his suspicion was unfounded when he walked over to the window and found it left open. Quickly, he lowered the gun and let out a sigh of relief before closing the window down. At this rate, Oliver wasn't going to get any sleep. He still didn't find out what the source of the noise was. And so he sent himself to sit at the table and wait for the morning to come which wouldn't take too long since he could kill the time with a couple of books.
