Segregation [Inactive]

Vaila

Cybernetic Princess.
Vaila submitted a new role play:

Segregation - Separating the genders for one purpose. War.

A long time ago, the ruling party decided that in order to create a more skilled and controlled army they needed to separate the genders. Placing them into two camps, guarded by impenetrable walls they were trained by the best of their gender and the process was repeated with each generation until there was an accident.
The wall came down for a few short minutes and four managed to escape into the outside world. Two boys and two girls.

Fleeing into the forest, they embark on an...

Joe heard the alarms ring out through the centre. He looked around in confusion as the other members of his squadron tried to get them under control. Their leader, Mike, was shouting out orders but the young soldiers weren't listening to him. Just then Joe noticed a break in the fence. He could actually see the grass fields outside, the dew gleaming in the sun. He pulled Daniels arm and gestured towards it. Daniel was his best friend and he pulled him into the shadows of the wall. As Mike managed to get the other under control he marched them off. Joe tugged once again on Daniels arm and pulled him through the gap into the world beyond.

Grace was leaning against the wall of the camp, watching the others as they trained. She, herself, had a few moments to herself, having finished her meal early she had decided to breathe the 'fresh' air and watch the older girls. Suddenly the alarms sounded and the air filled with panic and confusion as the girls, in neat rows just moments before, turned into a mob. Grace straightened up but the wall behind her moved and she fell out of the comfort of the camp and onto the ground beyond. Quickly she stood up, rearranged her quiver on her back and picked Aspen, her marten up from the ground. This was her chance to escape. To be honest, she had been planning an escape for some time, but this was even better. She made sure she had all her weapons, held Aspen close and ran for it; to freedom, or so she thought.

Aliah was rebounding pebbles off of the wall when the alarm sounded. A great blaring ring that almost deafened her, as the girls around her erupted into chaos. As she spun, looking around, she clutched the sword at her hip and that's when she spotted the hole in the wall. Her eyes widened, looking in wonder before she slipped off into the shadows of a building to avoid detection as she made her way around the trainers towards the gap. She had always wondered what was beyond the walls, having been raised on the stories of terrifying monsters and even worse creatures that lived in the wild. She had always wanted to battle one, but it was strictly forbidden. And as she sprinted out through the gap, barely making it out before it snapped shut behind her, she mustered all her courage to venture out into the unknown.

It had been just a normal day up into this point. First thing in the morning: Basic training, then breakfast. Next would be weapons training, then lunch. What was suppose to come next was what Daniel feared the most; The Grace Period was really just a free period in their schedule where the boys were able to socialize with each-other for 30 minutes before delving into their studies once more. This day was different and Daniel could feel it. He was usually picked on, beat up, or bullied by the other boys. That's why he was better off on his own. He usually sat in a corner and awaited his imminent future. After the wall fell and chaos spilled into the common area, Daniel immediately looked for an escape. He had to leave this place, he couldn't stay.

He was the top boy when it came to combat and defense. He was sure he would be fine. However, it wasn't until Joe had pulled his arm into the opening that Daniel had realized there was a literal "window of escape". Daniel fell out of the wall a mere second before it closed. He was surprised he made it through at all. The fields were a brilliant shade of full green and the grass beneath them felt like one of the softest fabrics back in the camp. The air smelled of freedom. That and Joe's immense Body Oder which was a constant problem of his. Daniel stood and looked around. It was dark right now, night. Daniel slipped his hood over his head, brought the mask up to cover his face, then went to aide Joe in getting up.

"Push off" Joe pushed Daniel back off him "I'm fine" he stood up and marvelled at what he saw "it's beautiful" he whispered "quickly, to those trees over there"

Grace moved away from the wall and toward the trees, drawing her bow. She had heard the stories the elders told about the creatures outside, as well as the other gender. She couldn't help but think about the way they had described them to her as she tread carefully through the trees, listening for a sound of movement. Beneath her hood she blushed and quickly wished the thoughts away, thinking of more important things, like the imminent dangers that probably awaited her here.

Daniel headed his words and backed away from him; head looking down at the ground. He managed a, "sorry," before looking off into the distance, his eyes providing a slight blue tint unto the grass. He saw the tree's Joe mentioned. Without a second hesitation, Daniel rushed off into the tree line, not looking back to see if Joe had kept up. He quickly and gracefully hopped into a tree and swung branch to branch among the others. This was just like the Climbing Towers back in camp. He had no trouble finessing through the tree's with minimal vision. He just hoped that Joe, slower but stronger, was able to keep track of him.

Joe looked up a him scornfully "show off" he mumbled as he pushed on through the ground. Soon he came to a clearing where he stopped and signalled for Daniel to come down

Aliah gripped her sword tightly as she ran not drawing it but ready incase she needed too. The branches from trees whipped passed her face but she didn't care much. All she knew was that she needed to put as much distance between herself and the wall. She could feel that her face was bleeding from a cut along her cheek but she didn't much care. Coming to a stop at the edge of a clearing when she spotted two figures. Ducking behind a tree, she drew out her sword to ready herself.

Daniel nodded and did a very graceful flip from the tree to Joe's side. He inhaled deeply and smiled. "Finally free," he said more so to himself then Joe. "It's been a long time coming." The blue and technological lights that lined his jacket glowed and lit the area up slightly. As did the lights on his weapons. "What do you think we should do now, where can we go?"Dan asked not looking at him, but removing his mask.

Grace's eyes were never that good, so she relied on Aspen mostly. The marten began to chitter shrilly and bit Grace's hand. She stopped walking and glared at Aspen, on her arm. "What?" she whispered and looked toward where the marten was looking; two figures were standing in an opening. Grace drew her bow again as Aspen climbed onto her shoulder and ducked into the cover of the shadows.

"I suggest we make cam...." Joe started but stopped suddenly, looking around them suspiciously "Daniel" he whispered "get back up in the trees." He pulled his own bow off his back

Aliah listened closely, her whole body freezing when she heard their deep voices. She had heard rumours of boys and one of the signs. As quietly as she could she stepped out from behind the tree and crept away from the pair. They were almost out of her sight when she stepped on a twig, a loud crack echoing from it as it gave way beneath her foot. She froze, her eyes going wide. Her hair was the only part of her moving, the golden strands blowing in the wind. Her instincts were telling her to run but instead she stood staring at the boys.

Daniel smiled at him. "relax," he said calmly looking up into the sky. "There are two, one with a sword over there to my right and one right behind me, in the shadows, by the tree. They have been there a few minutes already. If they were enemies, they would have killed us already. How should we handle this," Daniel finished and asked, taking out his bow and tracing the designs with his index figure.

His head snapped to one side and he raised the bow "come out or I'll shoot" he said, his voice quavering slightly. He'd never actually shot a living thing before

Grace gasped silently and bit her lip, moving so she was hidden even more. The voice was deep, but she knew elders who had deep voices, but it could also be a man. She peeked out and saw their broad shoulders. "It means nothing," she thought to herself. "Plenty of women have broad shoulders." Still, she could help but ignoring everything else and staring at the figures.

Daniel slipped his mask up to cover his mouth before turning around. A arrow already in the bow. H looked on at the black figure. It appeared it had long hair and a slim physique. If this creature was unfriendly, they would be no match for him or joe. Daniel was too quick with his arrows and Joe was strong enough to over power it. By the time it made a move, Daniel would have an arrow through its neck

Aliah moved quickly ducking behind a tree and sliding her sword back into its sheath. Sliding to the ground she pulled out two chakram and clicked them with a familiar clang. Using her legs for momentum she pushed off from the tree and sped around the clearing dodging trees as she ran. The last thing she needed was to get in a fight after being free for less than two minutres. And with boys no less.

He shot an arrow carefully, hitting her sleeve and punning her to a tree. He'd always been the best at archery. He moved over to her, wanting to get a closer look at a girl.

Aliah let out a yelp in surprise and quickly cut through her sleeve with the chakram in her hand. The blade was sharp enough to cut through it easily but she caught her skin during her rush and swore quietly under her breath when it began to bleed but she didn't have time to bandage it now. She began to run again this time moving deeper into the trees and weaving so she would fall from his sight.

Grace saw an arrow fly through the air and gripped her own bow tightly. She saw where it went and breathed a sigh of relief as it didn't come close to her hiding place. She watched the figures, and where the arrow went with curiosity and moved out from behind the tree a bit to see better.

"Oh no you don't" he mumbled "Daniel, follow her from above" he called as he set off running after the girl

Aliah began to sprint, her pace steady and her breathing strong as she ran. The familiar coolness of her metal chakram kept her adrenaline pumping because she knew that they would follow her. It was what she would do if their situations were reversed and she knew that she wouldn't be able to out fight the pair of them. Not at the same time. So she would have to come up with another plan. With her golden hair flying out behind her and blood dripping from her wrist she took a hard left and began to run in another direction. She hoped that they weren't close enough to see her, but it would take them a while to follow her trail if they were smart enough to look for it.

"Wait" he called after her "you're hurt" he could see blood on the floor where she ran "we have some medical supplies. We can help"
